Biden Explains Why He’s ‘Flattered’ Illegal Aliens are Pouring Across the Border

During his first official press conference as president Thursday afternoon, Joe Biden was asked about the catastrophic number of illegal immigrants and unaccompanied minors pouring across the border. He responded by saying he’s “flattered” because the people coming think he’s a “nice guy.”

“I guess I should be flattered people are coming because I’m the nice guy. That’s the reason why it’s happening That I’m a decent man or however it’s phrased because ‘Biden is a good guy,'” Biden said. “The truth of the matter is, nothing has changed.”

“It happens every single solitary year. There is a significant increase in the number of people coming to the border in the winter months of January, February, March. That happens every year,” he continued. “The reason they’re coming is that it’s the time they’re coming with the least likelihood of dying on the way because of the heat in the desert, number one. Number two, they’re coming because of the circumstances in country.”

Stunning Report: Number of Unaccompanied Minors Detained at Border in First 20 Days of March Exceeds Full February Data

. . .It looks like the crisis is running well ahead of schedule, as more than 11,000 illegal immigrant children were detained by Border Patrol in the first three weeks of March alone, easily exceeding the total from the entirety of February. CNN reports:

The US Border Patrol has detained more than 11,000 unaccompanied migrant children between February 28 to March 20, according to preliminary government data reviewed by CNN, already eclipsing the number of minors apprehended in the full month of February. In recent weeks, the number of encounters of children crossing the US-Mexico border alone has continued to climb, overwhelming the government’s resources that had already been under strain because of the coronavirus pandemic. In all of February, Border Patrol apprehended nearly 9,300 unaccompanied children at the US southern border, up from around 5,600 in January.

Quite the trajectory. The number was less than 800 last April. It began to tick up over the course of several months, then started to increase more sharply as President Trump’s term came to an end. Once Biden became president, the problem has exploded. From 5,600 during inauguration month, to 9,300 in the shortest month of the year, to well over 11,000 (with a week still left to go) in March. Twitter ‘Mistakenly’ Censors Photos of Overflow Cells

Twitter censored exclusive photos from Project Veritas showing thousands of immigrants sleeping on the floor in tight quarters at a Texas detention center, hiding the content behind a filter marked “potentially sensitive.” Twitter later reversed the censorship, calling it an error.

Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe posted a video featuring a compilation of the photos to Twitter on Monday morning. The video was promptly hidden behind a filter claiming the content was “potentially sensitive,” requiring users with the sensitive content filter to click through the warning message in order to see it.

Whistleblower Releases Photos of Biden’s Migrant Kids in Cages; Democratic Mayor BLASTS Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By Breitbart. James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released photographs Monday from inside a border facility in Texas where migrant children are being held — and taunted the White House as he did so, for denying the media access to such facilities for weeks. . .

In 2014, Breitbart News broke the story of children being held in Border Patrol facilities, which was the first report on the crisis of unaccompanied minors arriving at the southern border.

On Monday morning, Axios released the first photographs from the present wave, noting that the photographs came from Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). That apparently prompted O’Keefe to release his own photographs and video footage, which he did on social media and at the Project Veritas website.

As he did so, O’Keefe called out White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki, who has repeatedly deflected questions from the media about when journalists would be allowed to visit the border facilities to see the conditions for themselves.

Last Thursday, Psaki continued to claim that “the White House and we all in the administration support finding a way to grant access to the media,” but declined to do so, even as she continued to defend Biden’s commitment to transparency.

Democratic Mayor Blasts Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By WND. The Democratic mayor of a southern border town says Democratic President Joe Biden is in denial over the magnitude of the immigration problem, amounting to a “slap in the face” to the people he serves.

“You have a breach on national security levels that have never before been seen in modern history and you’re not even batting an eye about it, you’re not even calling it a ‘crisis,’ you’re calling it a quote unquote challenge,” Mayor Bruno Lozano of Del Rio, Texas, told the New York Post on Sunday.

On Monday, Biden’s chief spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, refused once again to call the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors a “crisis,” insisting it’s a “circumstance.”

Sen. Ted Cruz Rips Biden for Hypocrisy on Media Blackout of Border

By The Blaze. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is pressuring President Joe Biden to be more transparent with the media about the migrant crisis at the U.S. . .

In a letter to the president, Sen. Cruz said it was “outrageous and hypocritical” of Biden to bar reporters from access to the situation at the border.

“As part of our oversight duties as Senators, I and 14 of my colleagues will travel to the border this week to talk to the brave men and women on the ground who are working every today [sic] to stop this crisis and secure our border,” Cruz wrote.

“But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening — the American people must see. That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access. This is outrageous and hypocritical.”

White House Calls Early ‘Lid’ as Pressure Grows on Biden Over Border

The White House called a “lid” at 1:13 p.m. on Monday, signaling President Biden was not due to make any public appearances during the rest of the day despite growing questions about the emergency at the border, his administration’s commitment to transparency, and his work rate.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump saturated headlines with two media appearances while surrogates, including his former spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany, heaped further pressure on 78-year-old Biden. . .

On Monday, White House officials called a lid — the arcane term used when the president has finished his public appearances for the day –— soon after Biden’s press secretary finished briefing reporters and much to the amazement of Trump-era staff.

Judd Deere, White House deputy press secretary under Trump, asked pointedly on Twitter, “On a non-holiday, working Monday?”

Illegal Aliens Admits: I Wouldn’t Have Crossed the Border if Trump Was President; Biden To Spend $86 Billion on Hotels for Illegals

By Daily Caller. A father who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally told ABC’s Martha Raddatz that he would not have done so if former President Donald Trump were still in office.

During a segment of “This Week” that aired Sunday morning, Raddatz interviewed a man from Brazil who had crossed the border with his wife and children — and he told her that he made the choice not to come until President Joe Biden took office.

“This father who asked we not show his face, traveled to Mexico from Brazil with his wife and three young kids before crossing the border,” Raddatz said by way of introduction. “Would you have tried to do this when Donald Trump was president?”

“Definitely not. Definitely. We had the chance, you know, but the same violence that’s going on today was there last year,” the man replied, making it clear that it was the political situation in the United States rather than the situation in his home country that had made all the difference. “We used to watch the news, I definitely wouldn’t do this.”

Biden To Spend $86 Billion on Hotels for Illegals

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden’s administration will spend $86 million to house migrants crossing the southern border in hotels, according to a new report.

Around 1,200 migrant family members will be housed in the hotels as part of a contract awarded by administration, Axios reported Saturday. Illegal border crossings have surged since Biden took office, and detention facilities holding unaccompanied minors have reached capacity at the southern border.

The hotels will reportedly be in Arizona and Texas, and the contract will start at six months with the option to extend it, DHS officials told Axios. Hotels have been used in the past to house excess migrants at the border when illegal crossers cannot be processed quickly enough, including during the Trump administration in 2020, according to Axios. Biden Begins Immediate Catch-and-Release of Illegal Aliens

A senior-level law enforcement source with U.S.Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Rio Grande Valley revealed the implementation of a plan to release migrant families soon after apprehension. The plan radically changes how illegal migrants have been processed in the past and orders Border Patrol agents to quickly release migrant families without notifying the immigration courts or issuing a Notice to Appear.

“This is insane, it is another pull factor that will overwhelm us,” a CBP official with knowledge of the plan told Breitbart Texas anonymously because he is not authorized to speak publically on the matter. “We are creating another entirely different class of aliens we will have to deal with years from now. We will never find most of these aliens once they are released.”

Breitbart Texas confirmed the report with a second official operating under the umbrella of CBP. . .

Whistleblower: TSA Skirting ID Requirements for Illegal Aliens

Illegal aliens are being allowed to fly with domestic airliners without a proper form of identification, a Border Patrol union president in Texas is warning.

According to Hector Garza, the President of National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 in Laredo, President Joe Biden’s catch and release policies have resulted in illegal aliens skirting TSA’s ID requirements. Garza said illegal aliens are utilizing Notice to Appear paperwork as a form of ID, something he warns “could easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer.”

“The Notice to Appear form has no photo, anyone can make one and manipulate one. They do not have any security features, no watermark, nothing. They are simply printed on standard copy paper based on the information the illegal alien says is the truth,” Garza said in a Facebook post.

ALARMING: 24K Illegal Aliens Have Crossed Texas Border in the Past Two Weeks; Biden’s Illegal Immigration Agenda Creates Another Child Smuggling Crisis

By Breitbart. Border Patrol agents in the nation’s busiest sector continue to encounter large groups of migrants illegally crossing from Mexico into South Texas. Nearly 24,000 were apprehended in the last two weeks alone — nearly 28,000 for all of February.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents continue to apprehend large groups of migrants illegally crossing the border. Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings tweeted last Friday that nearly 24,000 migrants had been taken into custody in his sector during the past two weeks. Hundreds more were apprehended in the days that followed.

On Saturday morning, agents assigned to the Rio Grande City Station encountered a group of 134 migrants after they illegally crossed the border near Las Lomas, Texas. The agents identified 128 migrants as family units — mostly from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

Families Sending Children Alone Across Border Due To Biden Policy

By WND. Central American families whose asylum claims have been rejected are exploiting Biden administration rules, sending their children alone across the border because unaccompanied minors won’t be turned away.

A person familiar with discussions at the Department of Homeland Security, confirming an NBC News report, said the loophole is putting the children at risk, the Washington Examiner reported.

Last month, 8,000 of the more than 18,000 family units that illegally came across the border were sent back, according to federal data.

Biden’s Illegal Immigration Agenda Creates Another Child Smuggling Crisis

The Biden administration’s recent open-borders immigration policy and talk of potential amnesty has predictably resulted in a dramatic rise in unaccompanied children risking their lives to enter the United States across our southern border. The number of children coming without parents is now more than 430 a day, with immigration experts predicting an influx of more than 100,000 unaccompanied children by the end of 2021.

Parents are paying murderous drug cartels thousands of dollars to smuggle their children across the border. Some children are traveling across two or three countries to get here. Some have died during the rough and dangerous crossing, others have been abused by the smugglers, and some have been sold into human trafficking networks.

We’ve also seen children being “rented” and “recycled” across the border several times to help adult males gain easier entry into the U.S. by claiming that the children are their own. . .

The Biden administration has created a border crisis that experts clearly warned would happen.

The president’s executive orders have directed federal agencies to disregard U.S. law. The administration tore up agreements with Central American nations that had helped stop the uncontrolled flow of migrants. It abandoned the effective “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers that was critical to reducing fraudulent asylum claims. It has nearly eliminated Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s ability to deport those here illegally. DHS: Migrant Surge at U.S.-Mexico Border Is Worst in 20 Years

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday disclosed that the migration surge at the US-Mexico border is likely the worst the situation has been in 20 years.

Mayorkas, who has refused to call the situation a “crisis,” said in a statement that “[w]e are on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years.”

The statement referred to the surge as a “difficult situation,” but said his department is working to handle it “successfully.”
