. . .On Thursday, United States Border Patrol agents announced the arrest of an illegal alien was previously twice deported and has been convicted of sexually assaulting a minor while in the United States.
According to San Antonio News 4, authorities arrested “42-year-old Mexican national Miguel Diaz-Cardoso Sept. 11 near Quemado for illegally entering the country” near the Eagle Pass border station. After running a background check on the illegal alien, authorities discovered that as recently as 2016 the man in question had been convicted for a sexual offense involving a minor and had previously been deported on two separate occasions.
In a press release, Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez said that, “Apprehensions like this highlight our border security efforts and the threats we face along the border.” . . .
Likewise, other border patrol agents arrested yet another sexual pervert on September 12 near the El Centro sector in Calexico, TX. According to a press release, that illegal alien had also been previously deported from the United States on Nov. 13, 2015 after being “convicted as a juvenile on April 13, 2003 in Minneapolis, Minn., for Criminal Sexual Conduct-First Degree Penetration Acts with a Child. He received one year in prison and a fine. The man also has a pending charge for failing to register as a predator offender in Sept. of 2009.” (Read more from “Pervert Alert: Sex Offender and Previously Twice Deported Illegal Alien Arrested Again in Texas” HERE)

What happens when we allow courts to countermand our immigration policy and unilaterally grant asylum to invaders at our border? What happens when every political and cultural institution sheds crocodile tears for illegal invaders rather than helping Americans harmed by their crime, drugs, gangs, and the fiscal burden? The laws of supply and demand dictate that more invaders will come. And indeed, that is what has happened in August. The president now has the perfect opportunity to make border security the number one demand of this month’s budget bill. Will he do it?
Illegal aliens respond to incentives very quickly
According to new data from Customs and Border Protection, the number of apprehensions of family units spiked by 38 percent in August compared to the previous month. That is a record for the month of August. The number of unaccompanied alien children (UACs) rose by 11.5 percent. Overall, almost 16,500 family units were apprehended at or in between entry points, a level that has not been seen during any month since the Obama administration.
This is even more disturbing given the growing trajectory. Because of the perception that policies would change with the new administration, the border flow slowed to a trickle in 2017. Now it has surged again, proving that the entire deterrent power of this administration is gone unless policies change. The flow of family units this August represents a 140 percent increase over August 2017, while the number of UACs increased by 44 percent. If record numbers of families are coming over during the August heat, that means we are in for a real treat in the fall and winter unless there is a change in policy.
The spike in the number of family units shows that a number of people who previously just sent their kids here alone to join other relatives, thinking that our leniency wouldn’t extend to adults, now understand that they can come together and be paroled together under catch-and-release.
The Daily Caller has published a video taken on an Arizona ranch showing 25 minutes of uninterrupted border infiltrations. This is not the hallmark of a first-world country. We have no control over our own sovereignty and security.
Remember, this is not even the busiest sector. Most of the families are pouring over the Rio Grande Valley in the far east sector of Texas.
What happens to these people?
As of the first three quarters of this fiscal year, only 1.4 percent of the 94,000 illegals who came as family units in 2017 were sent back home. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why most would feel comfortable coming here and telling their friends about our policies. Our country can’t survive when it takes years to remove individuals who are clearly not entitled to be here. It’s death by a million lawsuits.
It’s not just impoverished bogus asylum-seekers coming over
While roughly 46,500 illegals were apprehended at our border this month, that means that, given our interdiction rate, at least as many were not apprehended.
What comes over the border along with bogus asylum claims? MS-13 and an endless array of drugs. Appallingly, the very same politicians who have promoted this invasion that single-handedly led to the “opioid crisis” beginning in 2013-2014 are passing a spending bill this week in the Senate to “address” the opioid crisis. Yet they refuse to define what the crisis is and what caused it. If they actually properly identified it, they would realize the impetus for the polydrug crisis (it’s not an opioid crisis) is this very border surge they refuse to even stop encouraging, much less halt.
It’s not just opioids like heroin and fentanyl pouring over the border from Mexico and distributed by the gangs and cartels harbored by sanctuary cities. Non-opioids like methamphetamine are surging to record levels, making them historically cheap to purchase. Just during the first 11 months of fiscal year 2018, over 77,000 pounds of this poison were seized by border agents. As late as 2012, that number was around just 18,000 pounds. What happened in between? The Central American border surge that is growing every month happened. In 2007, 5,171 people claimed credible fear in order to get asylum. In 2016, it was 91,786.
That is your “opioid” crisis right there. Funding the border wall, blocking the asylum loophole, and ending judicial amnesty and sanctuary cities would be the ultimate “opioid package.” But legislators keep their focus on doctors and pain patients.
Aside from MS-13, the massive surge of bogus asylum-seekers also serves as strategic cover for the cartels and smugglers, who orchestrate the entire process, to bring in Middle Easterners. We’ve seen an increase in “special interest alien” activity with the growth of the Central American invasion. As Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies observes, in the final months of the Obama administration, none other than DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson sent out a memo to top law enforcement agencies warning that the growth of Middle Easterners at the border demanded their “immediate attention.”
But it’s worse than simply facing a migration crisis where Middle Easterners slip in undetected amid the chaos of the Central American migration. Even if they are successfully interdicted by agents on the way in, they claim asylum just like the Central Americans do and are released. As Bensman, a former intelligence officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said on my podcast yesterday, the Middle Easterners don’t initially come to our border with bombs, they come with good stories. He warned that the broken asylum policies are not just the cause of the Central American migration, which in itself is facilitating the flow of Middle Easterners, it also remains the Achilles heel of our security, whereby terrorists can claim asylum just like in Europe.
Thanks to the courts uprooting sovereignty and statutes, anyone from around the world can come here.
Seventeen years after 9/11, while we are still chasing our tails in Afghanistan, our border is wide open for people to stream across. Rather than marshalling the entire country to fight against a dangerous open border by staying in session all of August promoting a budget bill closing all the border loopholes and building the wall, Republicans helped promote the Democrat premise that the emergency was about “uniting families.” Well, those families have now responded by pouring over the border at an increased level.
In addition, nothing is being done about the ultimate magnet – the ability of illegal aliens to steal Social Security numbers, with the help of the IRS, to file tax returns and obtain employment in this country. According to a recent report from the Immigration Reform Law Institute, 39 million Social Security numbers were stolen between 2012 and 2016 in W-2 filings. Congress, and even the administration, can end the magnet tomorrow by barring the IRS from processing refundable tax credits to those whose numbers don’t match and work with SSA to immediately notify the victim, the employer, and local law enforcement when a duplicate or fraudulent number is used.
Getting rid of the magnets, the broken courts, and the broken asylum policies is just as important, if not more important, than building the wall. Imagine if Trump and the Republicans made the next few weeks a budget battle over terrorism, the crushing costs of illegal immigration, MS-13, and the drug crisis all wrapped up in border security and sanctuary cities. Recent “man on the street” interviews showed that many Californians support giving illegal immigrants free health care coverage.
The state’s Democrat gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom said during an interview last month he is “very proud” that while he was mayor of San Francisco, the city implemented this policy in a cost-effective way.
“[It was] fully implemented, regardless of pre-existing conditions, ability to pay, and regardless of your immigration status,” Newsom said on “Pod Save America.”
“We proved it could be done without bankrupting the city. I’d like to see that extended to the rest of the state,” he said.
A bill introduced in the spring in California’s Assembly would make illegal immigrants eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s low income health care program, the Sacramento Bee reported.
“There are an estimated 1.8 million undocumented adult immigrants in California who are uninsured. Roughly 1.2 million of them are low-income and thus would qualify for Medi-Cal,” according to the news outlet.
Prager University’s Will Witt interviewed several Californians at Manhattan Beach near Los Angeles to see what they thought.
“I found that most people believe in a utopia,” Witt explained on “Fox & Friends” over the weekend. “We know as more conservative people, utopias don’t exist.”
“This is kind of the trend in California,” he observed “Free universal health care is just free, and it’s just the government paying for it, but they don’t understand it’s a burden on the taxpayers.”
One woman Witt interviewed said, “I don’t see a problem with everyone getting higher income and having more taxes.”
Another two people he spoke with agreed there should be health care for all and that illegal aliens pay as high of taxes as American citizens.
Even a man wearing a shirt with the phrase “Earned Not Given” on it said “I think everyone should get free universal health care.”
“It’s crazy that people think this,” Witt argued. “California already has such a burden on our taxpayers, and this plan is supposed to cost about $400 billion.”
“I mean business owners are fleeing California because of the high taxes,” he said. “This is only another step in the destruction of California.”
Politifact reported that California has the highest top tier income tax rate in the nation at 13.3 percent.
California also has the most costly sales tax in the nation at 7.25 percent.
Additionally, the state’s gas tax is the second highest in the nation, averaging 73 cents per gallon, second only to Pennsylvania at 77 cents, and well above the nation average of 52 cents, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
CNBC reported in March that Californians are leaving the Golden State in large numbers due to the high cost of housing and steep taxes.
According to CNBC during the 12-month period from July 2016 to July 2017, “California saw a net loss of just over 138,000 people, while Texas had a net increase of more than 79,000 people. Arizona gained more than 63,000 residents, and Nevada gained more than 38,000.” (For more from the author of “This State’s Residents Support Free Health Care for Illegal Aliens” please click HERE)

By Townhall. The Associated Press reports that United States Border Patrol agents have once again rescued hundreds of illegal aliens found wandering the Arizona desert after crossing the Mexican border into the country and being abandoned by human traffickers.
While the number of large-scale caravans of migrant men, women, and children entering the southern border has decreased since President Trump was elected, Border Patrol agents occasionally apprehend illegal aliens in large numbers as they did last Saturday near the Lukeville Port in Ajo, AZ.
In a statement given to Breitbart Texas, Tuscon Sector Border Patrol agents blamed “transnational crime organizations” who “exploit the vulnerability of foreign nationals with false promises of legal status and encourage dangerous border crossings, which place lives at risk” for the incident. According to the AP report, 163 men, women, and children from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador were taken in by authorities for medical evaluation. The youngest of these migrants was 4 months old. (Read more from “Border Patrol Agents Find 163 Illegal Aliens Wandering in Arizona Desert” HERE)

‘Angel Families’, Trump Aides Rally Against Illegal Alien Crime

In the continued fallout over the murder of an Iowa college student, allegedly at the hands of a Mexican man, advisers to President Trump joined “Angel Families” at a rally outside the U.S. Capitol on Friday to draw attention to crime committed by illegal immigrants.
“You will never be silenced, and your loved ones will never be forgotten,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told families. “Here’s the truth: open borders leads to massive crime. And massive crime that is totally avoidable.”
Others at the rally included former White House deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who recently lost his Republican bid for the U.S. Senate in Arizona.
“I also will never forget the names of these individuals, whether it’s Mollie Tibbetts or it’s Kate Steinle,” Gorka said. (Read more from “‘Angel Families’, Trump Aides Rally Against Illegal Alien Crime” HERE)
The Trump administration introduced Thursday a new set of rules that would allow the long-term detention of illegal immigrant families and terminate the Flores settlement, a court order the White House says is a major “pull factor” for illegal immigration.
If enacted, the rules would give the Department of Homeland Security broad authority to set standards for the detention and care of illegal immigrant families in its custody.
The most significant change in the 200-page proposal, which will be published in the Federal Register on Friday, would permit the government to keep illegal immigrant families in detention until they are deported or win a favorable decision in immigration court.
“Today, legal loopholes significantly hinder the department’s ability to appropriately detain and promptly remove family units that have no legal basis to remain in the country,” DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said in a statement. “This rule addresses one of the primary pull factors for illegal immigration and allows the federal government to enforce immigration laws as passed by Congress.”
Current detention policy is governed by the Flores consent decree, a 1997 Supreme Court order that requires the government to release unaccompanied alien children from detention to relatives or licensed shelters without unnecessary delay. Over the weekend, two canines, who were helping Aransas and Refugio County Duputies, were strangled to death by an illegal immigrant. The dogs were assisting in a police chase after more than a dozen individuals jumped out of a truck.
The chase started when a police officer pulled over a black Ford pickup north of Holiday Beach. The pickup pulled over, but then took off leading to a high speed chase.
The truck then hit a brush line where 14-16 people jumped out of the truck and fled on foot.
According to a Facebook post by the Aransas County Sheriff’s Office, Refugio County offered canines to assist in the chase that were “non agressive, non-bite trained.”
The Sheriff’s Office writes that, while they had dogs they could deploy that could defend themselves, they chose to use these dogs to protect individuals that were caught in a chase such as this.
Officers soon located three individuals and apprehended two of them. However, one individual evaded capture and yelled out in Spanish, “If you want me, come and get me.”
It was then that the officers found the two canines strangled to death. The sheriff’s office wrote, “The collars carrying trackers had been twisted tightly about their necks causing their deaths.”
Six individuals were eventually captured including the individual believed to have been responsible for the death of the dogs. The sheriff’s office writes that those who were captured are believed to be from Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.
“While most “Bail Outs” end with detentions after exhaustive searches they do not show this level of aggressive behavior,” the sheriff office writes, “Serving as a reminder to officers yesterday afternoon that while we are still dealing with individuals who may have questionable immigration status these encounters can turn just as violent as any domestic dispute we respond to.”
They continue by saying, “And while every effort is being taken to insure everyone’s safety, we are reminded that not everyone we encounter shows the same level of respect for the rule of law and or life even for highly trained animals.”
The office reminded its readers that these dogs aren’t originally intended to track dangerous suspects, but rather individuals who are missing due to dementia and Alzheimer’s.
They write, “It was an afternoon that left me wondering how many lives of Dementia and Alzheimer’s individuals in the future may have been put at risk with the deaths of these two Canines.” (For more from the author of “Texas Sheriff Heartbroken After Illegal Aliens Murder 2 Police Dogs” please click HERE)
The man suspected of killing an Oregon couple in a high-speed drunk driving collision earlier in August is an illegal immigrant from Mexico, The Daily Caller News Foundation learned.
Eduardo de la Lima Vargas, 39, allegedly ran a red light on a state highway in Salem, Oregon, on Aug. 19, striking a motorcycle being driven by Logan Wilson, 34, and his wife Jessi, 32. The collision tossed the Wilsons from the motorcycle, fatally injuring both.
Vargas blew a .10 blood alcohol level on a breathalyzer roughly two hours after the crash, according to a Salem police report. Investigators believe he was probably driving at twice the legal alcohol limit at the time he crashed into the Wilsons, who are survived by four young children.
Following the wreck, Vargas was booked into the Marion County jail on two counts of manslaughter, as well as one count each of reckless endangering, reckless driving and driving under the influence. He remains in state custody on a $500,000 bond.
Additionally, Vargas is now the subject of a federal immigration detention request. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed the detainer Aug. 24 in a statement to Salem-based crime researcher David Olen Cross, who shared it Thursday with TheDCNF. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2015, Esperanza Franco headed south to the border, where she worked defending immigrants who faced deportation. . .
Franco says her former employer’s mishandling of a work-visa application — she came here from Spain five years ago — has put her in danger of losing her legal status. She fears that in less than a month, she could end up being jailed in the same Arizona detention center where she has gone to visit clients. . .
The paradox of her situation is not lost on Franco, 28, who put her legal knowledge and Spanish-language skills to work in Tucson at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, a nonprofit advocacy group. . .
“We were all disappointed, but the organization wasn’t at fault,” said executive director Lauren Dasse, who questioned whether Franco was making “false accusations” to hurt the agency.
“It’s really bizarre,” said Domenic Powell, a second-year Penn Law student and friend of Franco’s. “She’s really worried she’s going to be pulled away from the place where she can practice law, and from the mission she’s been on to get people out of detention.” (Read more from “Lawyer Who Defended Illegals Could Face Her Own Deportation” HERE)

CBS2 News reported that Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested an illegal alien soon-to-be dad as he stopped at the gas station on the way to the hospital with his pregnant wife. Shortly after the story broke, the article was updated to reflect that the man was actually wanted by Mexican authorities for murder. But, this new information didn’t stop the left from going apoplectic and labeling the agency as “heartless.” . . .
ICE arrested a California man on Wednesday when he stopped for gas while driving his wife to the hospital for her C-section. She ended up driving herself the rest of the way, giving birth alone. https://t.co/T7MHsWvGVS
“A newborn is without his father Friday after immigration agents detained the man as he was taking his wife to deliver the baby,” the article began. . .
‘My husband needs to be here,’ Maria said. ‘He had to wait for his son for so long, and someone just took him away.’ Maria told CBS2 Arrona-Lara, who is from Mexico, has never been stopped by police, and that he’s never been in trouble with the law, not even for a ticket,” according to CBS 2.
But then, the story was updated to reflect something different. It turns out, Arrona-Lara has had prior run-ins with the law. Arrona-Lara is wanted for murder in Mexico.
Important update: ICE said today that this man was arrested because of a homicide warrant for him in Mexico. ICE didn’t mention this in its comments to media yesterday. His lawyer says he denies that there are such Mexico charges; no details from ICE yet. https://t.co/AnIfv8DapM
But, in comments given to the Daily Caller News Foundation ICE confirmed that the man is indeed wanted for murder. “Mr. Arrona-Lara was brought to ICE’s attention due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Mexico on homicide charges,” ICE spokeswoman Lori Haley told DCNF. In a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid on Thursday, over a dozen people were arrested for hiring illegal immigrants for cheap labor.
Warrants were obtained for 11 of the businesses in Minnesota, Nebraska and Nevada, according to the Washington Times.
133 illegal immigrant workers were detained in the findings as well.
According to Kare 11 News, ICE agents carried out their search warrants on Christensen Farms locations in Appleton and Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, as well as in Atkinson, Nebraska. Several other Nebraska farms were also raided.
Minneapolis’ Star Tribune reports that “Christensen Farms is one of the largest pork producers in the country, with nearly 1,000 employees and firms in several Midwest states.”
ICE also reported that “they may also have been exploited as part of this alleged criminal conspiracy.”
More specifically, they predict that the illegal immigrant workers were coerced into working in rough conditions by force and by threat of being reported.
In addition, the migrants had to cash in their paychecks at a remittance business, where taxes were removed but not given to the government.
“These illegal aliens were allegedly required to cash their paychecks at an illegal remittance business for a fee, have tax money deducted from their pay even though this money was never paid to the government and were coerced to remain quiet about this criminal activity,” an ICE news release said.
“These targeted businesses were knowingly hiring illegal workers to unlawfully line their own pockets by cheating the workers, cheating the taxpayers, and cheating their business competitors,” Tracy J. Cormier, special agent in charge at Homeland Security Investigations in St. Paul, Minnesota, said.
Seventeen of these people were identified as the ring leaders. Arrests haven’t been made on a handful of them.
ICE reported that this raid was a part of a 15-month investigation of the companies who were accused of hiring immigrants illegally.
Those who were arrested have been placed in custody until their cases are processed.
Of the 133 illegal immigrant workers, some will remain in detention, but some will be released with a future court date.
This is with the hope that they will be deported when their case is finished.
One activist from the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee, Brad Sigal, found the raid cruel.
“You can’t just look at the Trump presidency and see this as an isolated case — that suddenly he cares about the rights of workers,” he said. “This is just one more attack on the workers, whose lives are going to be dramatically worsened by this.” (For more from the author of “ICE Uncovers Major Ring of Businesses Using Illegal Alien Labor” please click HERE)
