What Our Immigration System Really Looks Like

Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security posted the annual Yearbook of Immigration Statistics for 2016, and it appears that Obama’s promise to fundamentally transform America didn’t disappoint. Here are some key details and observations of the report:

Near-record numbers: In 2016, DHS issued 1,183,505 green cards, the most of any year during Obama’s presidency. It is also the second highest number in the modern era, if we put aside 1990-1991, when we processed hundreds of thousands of extra green cards as a result of the 1986 amnesty. Of those roughly 1.2 million, 565,427 were already living here on temporary visas and 618,078 were new arrivals.

Chain migration dominates the system: Almost all the new immigrants were the result of chain migration or refugee-type programs. Very few green cards were apportioned based on skills or merit. A whopping 120,000 refugees were brought in. Overall, only 12 percent of all immigrants came through employment-based programs that require some sort of merit. Among the new arrivals, those numbers are starker. Just four percent of all new arrivals came in on employment visas, meaning the remaining 96 percent were either family visas or refugee, asylum, and quasi-amnesties. Only 2,410 individuals, .004 percent of new arrivals, came here with advanced degrees or extraordinary skills.

The fastest-growing category is parents of U.S. citizens. Those numbers increased by 23.5 percent from 2014 to 2016. Even open-borders fanatic Jeb Bush, at least while running for president in the GOP primary, voiced his support for the idea of abolishing the parent category, saying, “We need to narrow the number of people coming here through family petitioning … I would cut it down to spouse and minor children.” Abolishing all the other categories would reduce immigration among the new arrivals by more than two-thirds.

Do they even have jobs? Among those issued a green card this year, just 21 percent had known occupations. Roughly half did not work outside the home, and another third had no known occupation. Clearly, this is not being done for the economic benefit of this country.

Mexico still dominates legal immigration: Buttressed by chain migration, Mexican nationals were, by far, the most numerous recipients of green cards. In 2016, 174,534 Mexican nationals received green cards, double the number from the second most numerous recipients — Chinese nationals. The notion that we have not been generous enough to Mexican nationals through our legal immigration system and owe primarily Mexican nationals yet another amnesty for illegal aliens is downright insulting. Fifteen percent of all green cards were handed out to Mexico alone.

Massive increase in immigration from the Middle East: Most significantly, there was a large increase in immigration from the Middle East. According to Pew Research, over the past decade, we’ve admitted roughly 100,000 Muslim immigrants per year, double the level in the ’90s. I counted the number of green cards given out in 2016 to nationals from 47 majority-Muslim countries, and the total number was up to 179,114. Overall, we’ve admitted 2 million immigrants from those countries from 2001 through 2016. Some of the most significant increases from the previous year were from countries on Trump’s immigration pause list, such as Yemen and Syria, or from countries of origin of recent domestic terrorists, such as Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. In 2016, we increased immigration from 36 of these 47 majority Muslim countries.

How can anyone look at our throttled-up immigration system and say with a straight face that it serves America’s economic and security interests? President Trump was right to suggest that we must, for the first time, make sound immigration policy and secure borders the foundation of our national security. “Leaders in Washington imposed on the country an immigration policy that Americans never voted for, never asked for, and never approved — a policy where the wrong people are allowed into our country and the right people are rejected,” lamented the president in his “America First” speech.

Sadly, leaders in both parties are plotting and scheming for more amnesty rather than first fixing immigration to work for Americans. According to CNN, Sens. Lindsey Graham and Thom Tillis are meeting in Sen. Dick Durbin’s office every day and are “making progress” toward amnesty. What about progress towards safety and prosperity for Americans? In light of the recent problems with Sharia chain migration, is anyone from either party in Congress interested in knowing how many of the 179K immigrants from these countries, almost exclusively brought in because of family ties, love America and how many hate America?

The president clearly understands the problem with our immigration system. But to take this to the next level, he must finally agree to get rid of DACA amnesty once and for all and make it clear that he will not renew the illegal program in March. Any effort to play ball with amnesty will provide him with no leverage to reform the broader immigration system. America first means sticking a fork in the amnesty agenda for good and focusing on the needs of the American citizen for a change. Lawyer for Illegal Alien Who Got off Murder Charge Has a Shocking Message for Trump

A verdict was reached in the murder trial of Kate Steinle Thursday night.

Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a five-time deported illegal immigrant and convicted felon, was found not guilty of murder after shooting and killing the young San Francisco resident in 2015 . . .

Moments after the verdict, defense attorney Matt Gonzalez addressed reporters outside the courtroom. He addressed potential critics of the “not guilty” decision who might “criticize” the jury. Gonzalez specifically mentioned the president, vice president and attorney general. The attorney sent a blunt message to the Trump administration: “Let me remind them that they themselves are under investigation… and may avail themselves to the presumption of innocence.”

House Passes Kate’s Law, as Part of Illegal Immigrant Crackdown

House Republicans took action Thursday to crack down on illegal immigrants and the cities that shelter them.

One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities and another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.

Kate’s Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.

Kate’s Law is named for Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman killed by an illegal immigrant who was in the U.S. despite multiple deportations. The two-year anniversary of her death is on Saturday.

President Trump called the bill’s passage “good news” in a tweet, adding “House just passed #KatesLaw. Hopefully Senate will follow.”

Border Crossings PLUMMET as Trump Remains Tough on Illegal Immigration

President Trump’s approach to illegal immigration appears to be working so far, if early numbers are any indication.

A story published Wednesday at the Washington Times highlights Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly’s announcement the same day that, only a month into Trump’s new administration, illegal border crossings are plummeting at an “unprecedented” rate:

All told, 23,589 people were caught trying to enter without permission at the border in February. That was the lowest number for the month in years and a 40 percent drop from the 42,504 caught in January.

In fact, it’s the lowest number for any month dating back at least to 2012, when monthly statistics were first released.

Additionally, the numbers are also surprisingly low for a winter month, when desert border crossings are typically higher than the warmer months. The decrease in overland passage has, however, led to increased prices for black market coyote crossings, according to the same statement.

“The early results show that enforcement matters, deterrence matters, and that comprehensive immigration enforcement can make an impact,” Kelly went on, explaining the numbers drop. He echoed Obama critics’ objections to the previous administration’s laissez faire demeanor on immigration enforcement.

It would appear that enforcing the law while making it know that the law will be enforced actually deters people from breaking it. Who knew?!

The numbers are just from the first few weeks of President Trump’s term, but they serve as a stark rebuke to critics of the Trump’s strong public stance on illegal immigration during and after the campaign.

They also serve to counter the protests of Obama boosters who held up the former president’s deportation stats as evidence of a viable policy to combat illegal immigration.

Sure, he sent millions back; but by failing to effectively communicate anything serious about immigration to his citizens and those that sought to enter the country without consent, he may as well have left out a great welcome mat along the southern border, begging people the world over to disregard our laws and our sovereignty.

If people think they can get away with breaking a law and benefit from it, some (many) are going to do it. It’s that simple. In this specific instance, failing to enforce immigration policy in word perversely encourages people to put their lives and wellbeing at risk to cross a desert, all the while ticking people off and costing people national elections. The law has to be enforced, not only in deed, but in word.

For all the flak that Trump has gotten from the open borders Left about his tough talk on immigration, the numbers just don’t lie. Republican legislators, take note. (For more from the author of “Border Crossings PLUMMET as Trump Remains Tough on Illegal Immigration” please click HERE)

How Illegal Immigration Harms Black Americans, According to Civil Rights Commissioner

As the Trump administration gets ready to tackle illegal immigration, a member of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission noted the impact on the black community that he believes is too often ignored.

“Black males are more likely to experience competition from illegal immigrants,” Commissioner Peter Kirsanow told The Daily Signal.

Kirsanow, an attorney in Cleveland and former member of the National Labor Relations Board, said illegal immigration is both a short-term and long-term problem for young black males.

“What happens is you eliminate the rungs on the ladder because a sizable number of black men don’t have access to entry-level jobs,” Kirsanow said. “It is not just the competition and the unemployment of blacks. It also depresses the wage levels.”

A U.S. Civil Rights Commission study in 2010 determined immigration had a disproportionate impact on black Americans, but the study didn’t distinguish illegal immigration from legal. The findings came through various field hearings with experts.

“About six in 10 adult black males have a high school diploma or less, and black men are disproportionately employed in the low-skilled labor market, where they are more likely to be in labor competition with immigrants,” the commission report says.

The report continues:

Illegal immigration to the United States in recent decades has tended to depress both wages and employment rates for low-skilled American citizens, a disproportionate number of whom are black men. Expert economic opinions concerning the negative effects range from modest to significant. Those panelists that found modest effects overall nonetheless found significant effects in industry sectors such as meatpacking and construction.

A 2012 Census Bureau report found more than half of American-born blacks did not continue their education beyond high school, while the rate was even higher for foreign-born Hispanics.

Kirsanow noted that the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the labor force participation rate for people with less than a high school diploma is 46 percent, which he argues means there is no shortage of low-skilled workers in the United States. The labor force participation rate for those with a college degree is 73.8 percent.

The NAACP, the nation’s leading black civil rights group, did not respond to The Daily Signal for this story. However, the organization has supported immigration reform that would provide legal status to illegal immigrants.

Moreover, an NAACP action alert cited research that increased immigration was actually helpful to the black community. After the Senate passed a 2013 amnesty bill, the group’s statement said:

Comprehensive immigration reform must focus on the basic American principles of preserving family unity, opposing wasteful spending, and protecting and promoting human and civil rights, human dignity, and fairness. It must also be very aware of the economic impact any new policies will have on the American people: that is why the NAACP was pleased to learn of studies which have found that more often than not, Latino immigrants and African-Americans fill complementary roles in the labor market. The study, by the Immigration Policy Center released in June of this year concludes that in metropolitan statistical areas, the increase of the Latino immigrant experience significantly raises wages, lowers unemployment, and elevates job creation for African-Americans.

The Immigration Policy Center is a research arm of the American Immigration Council, an immigrants’ rights advocacy group.

The Congressional Black Caucus also did not respond to inquiries from The Daily Signal. However, the group of African-American House members, all Democrats, has previously supported comprehensive immigration reform proposals, stating on its website:

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus unanimously support Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation that provides a path to citizenship for millions of immigrants currently living in America and particularly for the more than 3 million immigrants of African descent.

Kirsanow contends that certain politicians and advocacy groups are more concerned with advancing the Democratic Party.

“Some people are putting party preference over the needs of their constituents,” he said. “The [Congressional Black Caucus] styles themselves as protecting and enhancing the interest of black Americans. The problem is that black workers are being ignored. So, there is another agenda at work.” (For more from the author of “How Illegal Immigration Harms Black Americans, According to Civil Rights Commissioner” please click HERE)

Feds Open Another Holding Facility for Migrant Flood at Border

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials announced the opening of an additional holding facility in south Texas to deal with the massive surge of illegal immigrants continuing to flood across the Mexican border.

The facility will provide additional space for holding approximately 500 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and Family Unit Aliens (FMUA). The new plant will be adjacent to the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge in Donna, Texas, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from CBP officials.

Earlier this month, Breitbart Texas reported that CBP officials were moving 150 Border Patrol agents from the Tucson, San Diego, and Del Rio Sectors to the Rio Grande Valley sector to aid in processing the additional illegal aliens.

“Illicit networks facilitate the majority of cross-border activity and smugglers prey on migrants by extorting money, confining them in deplorable conditions, and often physically and sexually assaulting them,” Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Marlene Castro wrote in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas on November 12. “Despite these risks, migrants continue to entrust their lives each day to these unscrupulous criminals.”

The new facility will hold the women and children temporarily as they are being processed for transfer to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for removal or detention, or to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for relocation elsewhere in the United States, officials stated. What’s Causing the Surge of Illegal Immigration? Lawmakers Want Answers and Action

Four members of Congress are calling on the Obama administration to quickly address the recent spike in illegal immigration along the U.S.-Mexico border.

In a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, the four lawmakers ask the administration to “take immediate action and mobilize all available resources of the department to stop the ongoing surge of illegal immigration at the southwest border.”

The letter was sent Thursday by Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., along with Reps. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. Grassley and Goodlatte lead each chamber’s judiciary committees.

According to the letter, the lawmakers believe the immigration surge is connected to the U.S. presidential election.

“Numerous media reports indicate that this surge is a large-scale effort to enter the United States before this year’s presidential election,” the letter states. “The onslaught of illegal immigration reflects continued efforts by aliens from Central America—El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala—to overwhelm our limited resources at the border, which inevitably results in the release of tens of thousands of removable aliens within the United States.”

The letter also states that “thousands” of Haitians and Africans are gathering in two Mexican cities, Tijuana and Mexicali, and “asserting dubious claims of asylum [to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers], which will practically guarantee their entry.”

In the last fiscal year, according to the letter, 408,870 illegal immigrants were found by the Border Patrol attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Of those apprehended, more than 77,000 were members of so-called ‘family units,’ which represents an increase of 95 percent over [fiscal year] 2015 figures, and nearly 60,000 were unaccompanied alien minors, which reflects a 49 percent increase over the previous fiscal year,” the letter reports.

Currently, the 40,000 illegal immigrants are being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The letter warns that this record number could easily reach 47,000 in the very near future.

“Without additional funding, ICE likely will release thousands of those detained into the United States, many of whom are criminals, who will abscond and hide from authorities,” the letter states.

Goodlatte, Gowdy, Grassley, and Sessions are calling on Homeland Security to immediately address this issue. They noted the department abruptly canceled a briefing last week with congressional staff, leaving questions about the recent surge unanswered.

“It has come to light through information provided to our committees that the department may have issued a directive to limit engagement with Congress until immediately before the election,” they wrote. “Any such directive, if issued, would be an unacceptable political ploy and a serious infringement of Congress’ oversight authority under the Constitution. We fully expect that such a directive, if issued, would be immediately rescinded.”

David Inserra, a homeland security expert at The Heritage Foundation, believes this is yet another instance that illustrates President Barack Obama’s lack of action to address the country’s immigration policy.

“The Obama administration’s failure to enforce our immigration laws and ongoing promises of amnesty or legalization by policymakers have encouraged continuing waves of illegal immigration,” Inserra said in an email to The Daily Signal. “Until the U.S. redoubles the enforcement of its immigration laws and provides ICE and other immigration agencies with the resources they need, the U.S. will keep struggling with the surges of illegal immigration we have seen and continue to see at our borders.” (For more from the author of “What’s Causing the Surge of Illegal Immigration? Obama and Hillary’s Deplorable Sanctuary Nation Policies Endangering Our Security, sovereignty

If you want to know what it means to put the citizenry first in immigration policy and why it’s so absurd to focus on “what to do with peaceful illegals already living here,” given our nation’s current state of affairs, consider the following stories just from this past week:

Oscar Delgado-Perez, an MS-13 gang member, was charged with stabbing a teenager 40 times in a Montgomery County, MD park several months ago. Thank God the local police finally caught him last week, but this individual was already deported twice to El Salvador in just the past two years. How did he reenter and who is to say he won’t be let out again? Remember, when the open-border crowd talks about “unaccompanied minors” crossing the border, it includes people like Delgado-Perez who originally crossed over as a minor. The illegal who killed Sarah Root earlier this year also fit this description.

A serial rapist was arrested in the Austin area and was found to have been deported five separate times!

A Brazilian national was arrested in New Bedford, Massachusetts for killing his own daughter. He had previously been deported twice, on one occasion for attempting to murder his wife.

Last week, ICE apprehended a Guatemalan illegal alien who had been convicted on two counts of indecent exposure to minors, but was released by local police outside of Philadelphia. Being a sanctuary jurisdiction, the local police declined to honor the ICE detainer. Thankfully, this is one of the few instances in which the individual was later successfully tracked down by ICE.

Francisco Javier Rosas-Molina, an illegal alien from Mexico, served 11 years in prison for killing a border patrol agent in 2003, yet he was let go and deported. It didn’t take long for him to re-enter the country. Thankfully, he was apprehended last week by the Tucson Sector Border Patrol.

Last week, Fox News did an expose on rampant fraud in U Visas, whereby illegal alien women stalk American men and allege abuse at their hands in order to obtain eligibility for a visa under the guise of an abused partner. The number of U visa applications rose from 24,768 applicants in 2012 to over 58,000 this year. Unless there has been a rash epidemic of domestic violence, it seems an awful lot of scam artists will remain in the country.

Why are so many criminal aliens in this country and how are they allowed to commit multiple crimes, get released, and re-offend? Who is prioritizing the interests of the citizenry and why is Congress not doing everything in its power to make the election about this violation of our security and sovereignty? And if our border is more secure than ever, as Democrats suggest, how is it that so many violent criminal aliens are able to return almost immediately and re-offend?

The point is immigration is an elective policy. While we invariably have to deal with violence among our own citizenry, due to the collapse of family values, we don’t have to tolerate criminal aliens for a minute, even if they are here legally. Yet, there are so many criminal aliens, fraudsters, murderers, and rapists running lose or re-entering the country after being deported. And these are the people who are eventually caught and deported. Most concerning, the Obama administration and immigration judges are ensuring that many deportations are overturned and that these people are released into our communities with their whereabouts unknown.

Take Massachusetts, for example. Last week, the Boston Herald reported that “Massachusetts last year deported the lowest percentage of illegal aliens of any state in the nation — and had the third highest rate of granting asylum.” Who is the culprit for this policy? Liberal immigration judges working for the DOJ’s Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). As the Herald reports, the Bay State’s immigration court “deported just 26.9 percent of illegals who came before it, the country’s lowest average rate — and well below the national average of 46.4 percent.” Just 10 years ago, they were deporting 80 percent of the illegal aliens in the state.

And remember, national deportation rates have plummeted. According to recent data from the Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), nearly six in ten illegal aliens during the first ten months of FY 2016 were set free by immigration judges. At this pace, over 100,000 illegal aliens will be allowed to remain in the country because of immigration judges.

Keep in mind, it’s pretty hard to get apprehended these days, given sanctuary city policies and sanctuary nation policies put in place by Obama’s PEP (Priority Enforcement Program), which replaced the effective Secure Communities detainers. Thus, those appearing in immigration court are often similar to those criminals mentioned above. And most of them are being released and are committing more crimes! Of those released last year, there were “10,731 convictions for assault; 890 for sexual assault, including rape; 473 for homicide-related offenses; and 375 for kidnapping.” ICE estimates that there are 1.2 million criminal aliens at large in this country, and that is a conservative estimate.

Meanwhile, as deportations plummet, border crossings continue to climb back to the levels we saw in 2014 at the height of the surge from Central America, according to new data from the border patrol. And that doesn’t even begin to factor in the hundreds of thousands who overstay their visas and the countless number of Mexicans who overstay their Border Crossing Cards (BCCs). Over one million BCCs were issued to Mexican nationals in 2014 alone, making it an easy way for them to enter our front-door and disappear into the population.

It is simply astounding that this issue has become so partisan. Why should any American politician of any ideological persuasion not prioritize the security and sovereignty of the American citizenry in light of the criminal alien crisis in this country? This is why it’s downright reprehensible –—“deplorable,” to quote Hillary Clinton — that liberals in both parties would hold interior enforcement and border security hostage for amnesty.

Sadly, it is also deplorable that Republicans are about to give Obama everything he wants on a government-funding bill without addressing their most sacred responsibility as federal legislators. Trump Rallies Border Hawks With 10-Point Plan, Hillary Zingers

Is Donald “build-a-wall” Trump going soft on illegal immigration? The GOP presidential candidate sought to reassure concerned supporters at a rally in Phoenix this week by debuting an ambitious 10-point immigration plan. With cowboy hats and boots on display throughout the Phoenix Convention Center arena, the large crowd loved every minute of the hour-long speech, heartily cheering such applause lines as “We take in anyone … Not anymore!”

Noticeably missing, however, was his previous call to deport all 11 million or so illegal immigrants. Based on recent statements, he seems to have backed off of that promise. Perhaps he concluded it wasn’t feasible. Perhaps he was advised that Congress would never pass such a law and that he could not constitutionally accomplish it with an executive order.

The event featured several GOP stars, including Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and Trump’s running mate, Governor Mike Pence of Indiana. When border-hawk Sheriff Arpaio came on stage, the crowd roared so loudly it was like being at a rock concert.

Former 9-11 New York Mayor City Rudy Giuliani was a bit of a surprise speaker, and arguably made the most powerful speech for Trump. “Based on Hillary’s job at the Secretary of State,” he told the crowd, “I wouldn’t elect her to dog catcher in New York!”

Trump’s “Angel Moms” related their tragic stories of relatives killed (or in one case, made into a paraplegic) by criminal illegal immigrants. The speakers all wore Trump’s “Make America Great Again” trademark white baseball cap, as did Trump.

Arizona’s Republican Senator John McCain was noticeably missing from the event. Whenever his name came up, the crowd booed loudly. McCain has angered the conservative base in Arizona for failing to keep his word when it comes to curbing illegal immigration.

Trump Goes After Hillary

Trump’s speech was awash with the points and subpoints of his immigration plan, but he also left room to go after his Democratic opponent. “Hillary only cares about one thing when it comes to illegal immigration, the needs of the illegal immigrants here,” he said, adding that her immigration plan is nothing but open borders.

He said he would create a new task force to find the most criminally dangerous illegal immigrants, “just like dangerous Hillary Clinton, maybe they’ll be able to deport her.” And he said that he consulted with border patrol officers and experts on the illegal immigration problem in order to develop his 10-point plan, whereas Clinton just meets with lobbyists and big donors.

Other parts of his plan include passing Kate’s Law, to ensure that criminal illegal immigrants who illegally re-enter the country receive tough, mandatory minimum sentences. He would triple the number of ICE officers and add 5,000 more border patrol agents. New screening tests would be given to immigrants, with “extreme vetting” done to ensure they have our ideological values. And the 287g program would be brought back to return law enforcement powers to local police, something that was stripped away during the Obama administration.

“We must put American citizens first,” Trump said, and added that since not everyone who comes to America can successfully assimilate, we need to pick the ones who will.

He attacked the media several times for failing to disclose the truth about illegal immigration, and the crowd would turn and yell angrily at the media section. Some members of the media found it difficult getting attendees to agree to interviews, because there was so little trust. The crowd frequently broke into chants, including “USA USA,” “Build a wall,” and “Hillary for prison.”

There were plenty of protesters outside, many dressed colorfully to attract media attention. They carried professionally made signs that said “no hate” or that argued against a border fence. One man held up a piñata of Trump and let small children beat it with sticks. A protester who made it inside the convention hall started yelling while one of Trump’s angels was speaking. About 50 men, including multiple members of law enforcement and security, made their way over to the man and removed him.

The Meeting With Mexico’s President

Trump also talked about his meeting earlier in the day with Mexican President Peña Nieto. It is not clear whether the two discussed Trump’s insistence that Mexico fund a border fence between the two countries. According to the AP, Trump said they didn’t discuss it, whereas Nieto said he told Trump Mexico wouldn’t pay for it. Nieto held a joint press conference with Trump after the meeting, which resulted in considerable backlash against Nieto for daring to find common ground with Trump.

Considering Trump’s aggressive stance on illegal immigration, the meeting was a considerable feat to pull off, one that made Trump look presidential and able to deal realistically with foreign leaders. Perhaps his backing down from his call to deport the 11 million illegal immigrants made the difference. Mother of Son Murdered by an Illegal Breaks Down in Tears Before Congress, Begging for Immigration Enforcement

4103771959_593986f3bf_zThe mother of a teenage son who was tortured and murdered by an illegal immigrant broke down in tears Tuesday before a House panel, begging for the government to enforce immigration law.

Laura Wilkerson, the mother of Josh Wilkerson, described in vivid detail the manner in which Hermilo Vildo Moralez, an illegal immigrant, beat, tortured, and eventually killed her son Josh then went to a movie.

In emotional testimony before the House Immigration and Border Subcommittee, Wilkerson expressed frustration that the problem of illegal immigration has not been fixed since the last time she testified before Congress in July 2015.

“Nothing has been done about it. We can have hearing after hearing, after hearing, after hearing until there is action we’re just talking,” Wilkerson said.

“I see this America government scrambling over themselves to pretend to care about American families and instead you give away every bit of America to people who have broken our laws entering this country,” she added. “Then on to break other laws.” (Read more from “Mother of Son Murdered by an Illegal Breaks Down in Tears Before Congress, Begging for Immigration Enforcement” HERE)
