Biden Says at Least 11 Americans Among Those Killed in Israel, Warns of Hostages

President Biden on Monday announced that the number of Americans killed in terrorist attacks against Israel had risen to 11, and he warned that American citizens may be among those being held hostage by the militant group Hamas.

“As we continue to account for the horrors of the appalling terrorist assault against Israel this weekend and the hundreds of innocent civilians who were murdered, we are seeing the immense scale and reach of this tragedy,” Biden said in a statement. “Sadly, we now know that at least 11 American citizens were among those killed — many of whom made a second home in Israel.”

U.S. officials are still working to confirm whether Americans are among those being held by Hamas, but said “it is likely” that is the case. “I have directed my team to work with their Israeli counterparts on every aspect of the hostage crisis, including sharing intelligence and deploying experts from across the United States government to consult with and advise Israeli counterparts on hostage recovery efforts,” Biden said.

John Kirby, a White House spokesperson on national security issues, told reporters on a call later Monday that the administration can’t confirm Hamas is holding Americans hostage, but that there are still many Americans who are unaccounted for.

Republican officials are slamming President Joe Biden’s “asinine” open border policies that have allowed in “military aged men from all corners of the world,” warning of potential terror attacks in the U.S. and the likelihood of terrorist “sleeper cells” as they point to the recent brutal attacks in Israel that saw terrorists breach the border and murder hundreds of Israeli civilians while taking dozens as hostages, warning, “Today it’s Israel, tomorrow it’s us.”

Highlighting Israel’s costly failure to secure its border over the weekend, Republicans are speaking out on the increasing threat of terrorism on U.S. soil due to poor border security that has already seen an unprecedented amount of people on the terrorist watchlist caught attempting to cross the southern border, leading to concerns of untold amounts of others who have managed to successfully infiltrate the country.

“Now is the time for bold action,” declared former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). “Here’s how America must meet the moment: 1. Rescue all American hostages 2. Provide full support for our ally Israel 3. Confront Iran and the new Axis of Evil 4. Focus on securing our own open border 5. Condemn antisemitism in the United States.”

“We should wake up ourselves. We could have the same thing happen next week to us,” McCarthy noted. “We caught more people on the terrorist watchlist in February than we caught in the entire administration. We could have cells sitting inside of America right now.”

Radicals, Muslims in West Join to Celebrate Hamas Terror Attacks (VIDEO)

Radicals and immigrant Muslims in many Western countries staged pro-HAMAS and anti-Jewish celebrations on Sunday, joining as one to celebrate the terror group’s bloody, hateful — and likely, counterproductive — assaults on Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The protests took place in cities where political and business leaders have imported millions of devout — or lapsed — Muslims to artificially stimulate the local economies.

In Australia, “A large crowd gathered outside Lakemba Station on Sunday night, just one day after at least 600 Israeli civilians were killed and thousands more injured in the largest and most well co-ordinated strike on the Jewish state in 50 years,” DailyMail.com reported on October 8:

Hamas Launches Unprecedented Terror Attack on Israel; American Citizens Killed, Taken Hostage

The Palestinian militant group Hamas launched an unprecedented terror attack on Israel, which has included the firing of thousands of rockets onto the Israel and the infiltration of Israeli territory by land, air, and sea. Responding to the surprise attack Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the nation is “at war” and the terrorists “will pay a price it has never known before.” Thus far, the attacks in Israel have reportedly left over 700 people dead and 2,315 wounded. Hamas claims it has captured Israel Defense Force soldiers and civilians during its assault on Israeli border towns outside Gaza. Israel’s military response –“Operation Sword of Iron”– has led to the deaths of 198 Palestinians and 1,864 people injured. The attack occurred on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the final day of the annual High Holy Day cycle.

Iran helped plan and gave the final sign-off to Hamas to launch the terror attack on Israel, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued the “final go-ahead” last Monday in Lebanon, the newspaper says. . .

Biden is directing U.S. warships and fighter jets to shift towards to Israel following Hamas’s terror attack on Israel. . .

New York City’s Times Square is flooded with hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters showing support for Hamas’s terror assault on Israel. Some demonstrators, holding Palestinian flags, are chanting slogans such as “Resistance is justified” and “Globalize the intifada.”

WATCH: Palestinians Celebrate Massive Terror Attack Against Israeli Civilians

By Breitbart. Palestinians at home and abroad were seen celebrating the violent terror attack Hamas launched on Israel over the weekend that left at least 250 people dead and 1,500 wounded.

The Palestinian terror attack happened on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the final day of the annual High Holy Day cycle. . .

Photos and videos were uploaded to social media that showed Palestinians praising the violent terror attack.

Some Palestinians were pictured celebrating after they were able to capture an Israeli tank. The photos showed the Palestinians waving the Palestine flag and posing with the “victory” hand symbol. Another Palestinian was seen praying on the ground in front of the captured Israeli tank.

White House Roasted for Hosting BBQ as Israel Reels From Hamas Massacre

President Biden was criticized on social media for hosting a barbeque while Hamas terrorists continue attacking Israel through the weekend.

The war, which began early Saturday morning on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, has killed at least 1,100 people so far. More than 700 people were found dead in Israel, with at least 400 other decedents in Gaza.

A reporter overheard a live band at the White House on Saturday evening and inquired why.

“In the late afternoon and early evening, a live band could be heard coming from the area near the Rose Garden,” the pool reporter wrote. “Your pooler asked why a band was playing. Police Beef up Security at Jewish Synagogues Across U.S. After Hamas Attacks Israel

Police in major cities across the United States are taking extra precautions to protect Jewish citizens as Israel goes to war against Hamas following a surprise attack by the militant group during a period of Jewish holidays over the weekend.

In New York City, which has the largest Jewish population in the world outside of Israel, Mayor Eric Adams announced on Saturday that efforts were underway to identify “potential threats” and that he was in communication with top New York Police Department officials.

“While there is no credible threat to New York City at this time, our administration is in touch with Jewish leaders across the five boroughs, and we have directed the NYPD to deploy additional resources to Jewish communities and houses of worship citywide to ensure that our communities have the resources they need to make sure everyone feels safe,” Adams added.

Law enforcement in nearby New Jersey “will be increasing patrols in sensitive areas – particularly houses of worship for both the Jewish and Islamic faiths – and taking other steps out of an abundance of caution,” said Attorney General Matthew Platkin. Pentagon Sends Largest Aircraft Carrier to the Middle East, Says Military Aid Will Soon Reach Israel

The Pentagon will send aircraft and its largest aircraft carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean in a show of force to support Israel in its war against Hamas terrorists, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement Sunday.

The Pentagon will begin transferring an unspecified amount of security assistance to Israel, including ammunition, Sunday that is expected to reach the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in “the coming days,” Austin said in the statement. Meanwhile, Austin, at the direction of President Joe Biden, has ordered the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford along with its strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean and moved to enhance fighter aircraft squadrons in the region.

“We have also taken steps to augment U.S. Air Force F-35, F-15, F-16, and A-10 fighter aircraft squadrons in the region,” Austin said. “The U.S. maintains ready forces globally to further reinforce this deterrence posture if required,” Austin said.

The Ford is the U.S. Navy’s newest and greatest aircraft carrier and was already deployed to the Mediterranean when Israel’s parliament formally approved a war declaration on Hamas attackers Sunday morning. Israel has not gone to war since 1973.

Movement of U.S. forces nearer to Israel will “strengthen Department of Defense posture in the region to bolster regional deterrence efforts,” Austin said. Israel Strikes Back at Terrorist Targets Inside Border Areas

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) began launching strikes on Saturday and Sunday against the Palestinian terrorists responsible for the widespread terror attacks that have resulted in hundreds of Israelis being killed.

The IDF struck hundreds of targets inside of Gaza, from which the Palestinians had launched the thousands of rockets at Israel and later stormed the border.

“Terror infrastructure in the residence of Farah Hamed, a senior operative belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization, was targeted,” the IDF said. “The site was located adjacent to a mosque and three schools, which demonstrates that the Hamas terrorist organization takes advantage of holy sites and civilians to advance terror operations.”

‘Increasing Danger’ for War on Israel in Coming Weeks

There are signs – and they are growing – that suggest a war on Israel could break out as early as the next few months.

An analysis from the Middle East Media Research Institute notes that radical organizations like Hamas and Hiezbullah are not “eager” to begin a comprehensive confrontation with Israel, but there have been “growing indications that a war against Israel may break out in September or October 2023.”

The report said “The trigger may be spiraling violent clashes resulting in many casualties, or the use of new weapons leading to many fatalities on the Israeli side, in the face of which Israel will be unable to suffice with its regular counterterrorism measures.”

The warning signs include “growing provocations” by Hezbullah on Israel’s northern border.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Says U.S. Is ‘No Longer Our Closest Ally’

Yair Lapid, former Israeli Prime Minister and leader of the Yesh Atid opposition party, said Sunday that the U.S. is no longer Israel’s “closest ally,” according to the Times of Israel.

Tensions between the two nations have been at an all-time high after the White House’s criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the government over its treatment of Palestinians and attempts at judicial reform. On Sunday, Lapid, who was the government’s prime minister from July 2022 to December 2022, spoke during a meeting at the Israeli Knesset and announced that he believed that the United States is ‘no longer our closest ally,” according to the Times.

Lapid did not go into detail about what has caused the rift, but also accused current government leadership in Israel of creating a “crisis.”

“The Israeli government is leading us into this crisis, making the biggest and most dramatic changes to the regime in our history, without holding a single discussion — not even one — about the economic, security, social and political consequences of the move,” Lapid said, according to the Times.
