Vance Asks Voters Not To Let Political Stances End Lifelong Friendships: ‘Not Worth It’

During a town hall event on Thursday, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) struck a tone rarely seen on the 2024 campaign trail when he asked citizens not to let their political beliefs completely affect their relationships.

Former President Donald Trump’s running mate began by speaking about the harsh rhetoric used in the lead-up to Election Day, saying, “We’ve got to be better at communicating and talking to one another. He shared his concern with censorship and not listening to people who share another viewpoint. “The idea that we should be trying to silence our fellow Americans rather than persuade them and talk to them,” he added.

It was afterward, however, when Vance appealed to voters regarding how they interact with the people in their lives during a heated political moment.

“And one final point I’ll say about this. You know, don’t get too personal all the time … one of the things I’ve seen, especially from some of my wife’s friends and some of my friends is they disagree with us on politics — sometimes they’ll get very personal about it,” the Ohio Republican said.

“If you’re discarding a lifelong friendship because somebody votes for the other team, then you’ve made a terrible, terrible mistake and you should do something different,” he added. “Don’t cast aside — most of my family obviously is going to vote for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance and if they’re not, actually, I need to talk to them. But I’ve got friends who like me personally, acquaintances who aren’t necessarily going to vote for me. That doesn’t make them bad people.” (Read more from “Vance Asks Voters Not To Let Political Stances End Lifelong Friendships: ‘Not Worth It’” HERE)

JD Vance Has an Even Stronger Case for a Rigged 2020 Election in the Number of Illegal Ballots

The legacy media continues to push Sen. J.D. Vance to say Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, with Martha Raddatz on Sunday’s “This Week” being the latest in a string of interviewers pressing the vice-presidential candidate on that question. While Vance responded as before, that “of course Donald Trump and I believe there were problems in 2020,” the full exchange revealed that the fundamental flaw is in the question — not Vance’s answer.

For a full two minutes during yesterday’s interview, Raddatz demanded Vance say Trump lost the 2020 election. “Why won’t you say that?” she asked, to which Vance replied: “Because, Martha, I believe that in 2020, when Big Tech were censoring American citizens, that created very serious problems.”

“I don’t understand why you won’t just say that you believe it?” Raddatz retorted. “Did Donald Trump lose? That’s the question, and you know that’s the question.”

It was here that an exasperated Vance made his point clear: “Martha, I’ve said repeatedly I think the 2020 election had problems, you want to say ‘rigged,’ you want to say, ‘he won,’ use whatever vocabulary term you want.” What happened, Vance stressed, was the “censoring of fellow citizens in a way that ‘violated our fundamental rights,’” and that was a bigger problem, Vance explained, than what words he used to frame the issue.

This exchange proves key to understanding why Vance refuses to say, “Donald Trump lost the 2020 election,” and why the liberal press continues to demand an answer to that question. Kamala Plagiarism Claim Hits Harder After Walz Made Vance Book an Issue

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) seemed to relish the plagiarism allegations against Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday — as well he might, given that Harris’s running mate attacked Vance for what he wrote in his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.

“Hi, I’m JD Vance. I wrote my own book, unlike Kamala Harris, who copied hers from Wikipedia,” he posted on X.

Vance linked to a report by conservative journalist Christopher Rufo in which Harris is shown to have lifted several passages in her 2009 book Smart on Crime from sources without attribution, including Wikipedia. The New York Times admitted that Harris had, indeed, copied the passages, but claimed that the plagiarism was “not serious.”

The issue of authorship is certainly serious enough to have caused the Harris campaign to launch misleading attacks on Vance for the content of his memoir, which is a bestseller and has even been made into a Hollywood movie.

“Now look, [Vance] wrote a memoir at the ripe old age of 31, and he claimed to be an expert on Middle America, all the while trashing and denigrating the very community he was raised in,” Walz said in Nebraska in August, using an attack line that had become part of his stump speech. But Walz did not “denigrate” his community: his memoir is a deeply personal story about overcoming challenges and family instability. Dems’ Latest Attack Accidentally Makes Trump Look Cool as Hell

Democrats really think they got him this time. “Dangerous,” “weird,” an ominous blood red backdrop with two spectral faces simultaneously blending together and ripping apart. . .

This latest hit from the official X account of The Democrats seems to imply that the bloodthirsty spirit of a Trump-Vance presidency hovers in the air like phantasmal smog. They’re going to end democracy, turn women into broodmares for high-status men, put you back in chains — you know, whatever political domination fetish they’re pushing these days.

But in reality, nothing could possibly make this duo look cooler. This could easily be the cover art for the best punk album since “Ramones” (1976). Or even better, maybe it’s a billboard for a new right-wing futurist art exhibit on Manhattan’s grungy Lower East Side. I’d love to see this plastered on some exposed brick on Wooster Street. Or maybe the Dems have just spent too much time fuming over Raw Egg Nationalist’s Man’s World Magazine. The aesthetic is suspiciously similar, but a little dose of masculinity can’t possibly hurt whatever fem-boy mocked this up. Court Dismisses Haitian Group’s Request for Arrest Warrants Against Trump and Vance

An Ohio court has dismissed a Haitian group’s request for arrest warrants against former President Donald Trump and his vice presidential running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH), following comments made by Trump about Haitian migrants. The Haitian Bridge Alliance, a non-profit organization that advocates for humane immigration policies, sought legal action based on Trump’s remarks during a recent presidential debate.

In a ruling issued by a panel of judges, the court found “no probable cause” to issue arrest warrants or summons for misdemeanor charges against Trump and Vance. The judges opted instead to refer the case to the Clark County prosecutor’s office for further investigation, as outlined by Springfield city officials.

The legal action stemmed from Trump’s claims that Haitian illegals were involved in acts of violence against local pets in Springfield. During a debate on September 10, Trump stated that migrants in the area were “eating the dogs” and cats belonging to residents. His comments followed allegations from numerous Springfield residents, who claimed to have witnessed Haitian migrants taking and killing ducks in a local park. There have been numerous personal accounts and police reports from locals documenting these allegations. One resident even alleged that a friend had lost her cat, which was reportedly found being prepared for consumption at a neighbor’s home.

The Haitian Bridge Alliance’s legal filing called for charges including felony inducing panic, disrupting public services, making false alarms, and telecommunications harassment, among others. However, the court emphasized the importance of First Amendment protections in its decision, noting the constitutional safeguards surrounding speech.

‘Fundamentally Barbaric’: Vance Slams Walz for Minnesota Law on Babies Who Survive Abortions

Vice presidential nominee JD Vance slammed his opponent Tim Walz on Tuesday night over Minnesota laws that no longer protects babies who survive abortions.

Vance pointed out that Walz, as governor of Minnesota, repealed a bipartisan measure that formerly required doctors to report whether abortions resulted in the live birth of a baby, what actions were taken to preserve the life of that baby, and whether the baby survived.

Walz’s action also stripped the state’s requirement that measures be taken to preserve the baby’s “life and health,” replacing it merely with a requirement for “care.”

“That is fundamentally barbaric,” Vance told Walz.

Walz denied the allegation.

JD Vance’s Mic Cut As He Tries To Counter Moderator’s Fact Check On Springfield Migrants

Republican Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance’s microphone was cut by CBS moderators Tuesday night during the first vice presidential debate as he attempted to fact-check claims about Haitian migrants being sent to Springfield, Ohio.

During the debate, CBS moderator Margaret Brennan questioned the candidates on illegal immigration, and Vance expressed concern about migrants’ impact on Americans, citing the up to 20,000 Haitian migrants that have flooded into Springfield, Ohio, over the past three years. After Walz rebutted, Brennan tried to move on, adding that the Haitian migrants had “legal status,” leading Vance to interrupt by challenging the network’s fact-checking rule, noting the migrants entered the country via asylum applications.

“Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio, does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status, temporary protected status,” Brennan said.

“But Margaret … I think it‘s important to turn now to the economy. The rules were that you guys weren‘t going to fact-check, and since you‘re fact-checking me, I think it‘s important to say what‘s actually going on,” Vance responded. “So there‘s an application called the CBP One app — where you can go on as an illegal migrant, apply for asylum or apply for parole and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris open border wand. That is not a person coming in applying for a green card and waiting for 10 years — ”

Brennan jumped in to “thank” Vance for his response and attempted to move on, but Vance could be heard trying to finish, criticizing Harris for her role in the illegal immigration crisis.

Trump-Vance Campaign Drops New Ad Calling Out ‘Kamala & the Democrats’ for Being ‘the Party of Violence’

On Monday, approximately 24 hours after there was a second assassination attempt against former and potentially future President Donald Trump, the Trump-Vance campaign released an ad highlighting how “KAMALA & THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE PARTY OF VIOLENCE.”

The ad starts off with examples featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden. During her 2018 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Harris is shown saying, “Does one of us have to come out alive?” when asked by the host whom she’d rather be stuck on an elevator with: Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions. Her signature cackle is also prominently displayed.

In addition to Biden referencing on multiple occasions how he’d like to take Trump “behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” there are also examples featuring Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Hillary Clinton, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), former Attorney General Eric Holder, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Madonna.

The ad has been shared on the Team Trump Facebook and Instagram pages as well. Also on Monday, the Trump-Vance campaign sent out an exhaustive list of how “Democrats’ Rhetoric Inspired Another Attempt On President Trump’s Life.”

Vance Apparently Chastised for Out-of-Line Comments on Abortion

Sen. J.D. Vance says he won’t try to speak for Donald Trump in the future after the vice presidential nominee expressed a contradicting viewpoint on a federal abortion ban.

The admission came after a moment at Tuesday’s debate where the former president broke with his running mate and said they have not yet discussed a veto on banning abortion at a national level.

‘I think that I’ve learned my lesson on speaking for the president before he and I have actually talked about an issue,’ Vance said in an interview with Meet the Press host Kristen Welker on Sunday morning.

The Ohio Senator said his point last month was to reiterate that Trump has been clear he does not support the idea of a national ban – but that he also thinks the issue would never cross his desk because it wouldn’t get through Congress in the first place.

Asked at the debate with Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday if he would veto a bill putting a federal ban on abortions, Trump was noncommittal. . .

But when the ABC debate moderator Linsey Davis pressed him on Vance’s remarks just weeks earlier, the ex-president broke with his running mate

‘I didn’t discuss it with J.D. in all fairness,’ Trump said on stage. ‘J.D. – and I don’t mind if he has a certain view – but I think he was speaking for me. But I really didn’t.’ (Read more from “Vance Apparently Chastised for Out-of-Line Comments on Abortion” HERE)

Vance Says Trump Would Veto a National Abortion Ban

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, former President Donald Trump’s running mate, said Saturday that Trump would veto a federal abortion ban if Congress were to pass one.

Asked on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” about GOP lawmakers like Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina who would want Trump to advocate for and sign an abortion ban, Vance told moderator Kristen Welker that Trump has “explicitly” said he would veto a ban.

“I mean, if you’re not supporting it, as the president of the United States, you fundamentally have to veto it,” Vance argued.

Trump has changed his position on abortion policy over the years.

Asked on a tarmac in Atlanta in April whether he would sign a national abortion ban if it passed through Congress, he simply answered, “No.” But he didn’t clarify at the time what he considered a “ban.” (Read more from “Vance Says Trump Would Veto a National Abortion Ban” HERE)
