‘Excited’: Now Another Big Name Close to Trump Will Travel to Greenland This Week

First it was conservative giants Donald Trump Jr. and Charlie Kirk who visited Greenland, and now Second Lady Usha Vance is headed to the region President Donald Trump wishes to acquire for the United States.

Usha Vance, the wife of Vice President JD Vance, will travel on Thursday to Greenland with her son and an American delegation for a three-day visit.

The White House said on Sunday: “On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Second Lady Usha Vance will travel to Greenland with her son and a United States delegation to visit historical sites, learn about Greenlandic heritage, and attend the Avannaata Qimussersu, Greenland’s national dogsled race.

“The race brings together approximately 37 mushers and 444 dogs in a remarkable display of speed, skill, and teamwork. Ms. Vance and the delegation are excited to witness this monumental race and celebrate Greenlandic culture and unity.”

The delegation is set to return to America on Saturday. (Read more from “‘Excited’: Now Another Big Name Close to Trump Will Travel to Greenland This Week” HERE)

‘Heir Apparent’: Here’s How JD Vance’s New RNC Role Puts Him In Pole Position For 2028

Vice President J.D. Vance is taking over as the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) finance chair, a new role that GOP strategists and pundits say bolsters his position as the clear frontrunner to represent the party as its nominee in the 2028 presidential race.

In his new role, Vance — the first sitting vice president to take on the RNC campaign finance chair job — will be one of the top fundraisers in the country for the party and play a pivotal role in directing its course in the 2026 midterms and beyond. The position will grant Vance access to major GOP donors from all over the country and an ability to build rapport with them, cementing his status as the obvious leader for the GOP nomination in 2028 over potential opponents who will not have the same opportunities, GOP strategists and pundits told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“This is an acknowledgement of the effectiveness of J.D. Vance advancing the Trump message,” Mark Warner, an Ohio-based GOP strategist, told the DCNF. “You do not put your lead fundraising person out if that person is not a skilled communicator who energizes the base. So, this is an acknowledgement of his skillset and his ability to do many things. Along the way, it will give him relationships with key donors that will be invaluable should he run for president in 2028 … Being the top Republican fundraiser is a tremendous advantage for J.D. Vance.”

Clearly, there is still plenty of time between now and the beginning of the 2028 primary season, but prospective 2028 candidates on the other side of the aisle are already beginning to test the waters in earnest as part of the very early “invisible primary” process. But the only things that could knock Vance out of his pole position would be a severe slip-up on his part or a sudden loss of support for the Trump brand among GOP base voters, both of which are highly unlikely, in Warner’s view.

To date, Vance has endeared himself to the America First base as vice president. Among other splashy moments and speeches, Vance has chastised European elites for censoring average citizens, confronted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over his perceived lack of gratitude in an Oval Office meeting, delivered strong speeches on topics ranging from the pro-life movement to the artificial intelligence race, sparred with liberal cable news hosts and helped get Trump cabinet picks like Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard over the finish line in the Senate confirmation process. JD Vance Warns That Europe at Risk of ‘Civilizational Suicide’ Through Open Borders and Censorship

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has warned that Europe risks “civilizational suicide” if it continues to undermine fundamental Western liberties and engage in mass migration policies.

In an interview published on Friday evening with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, Vice President Vance doubled down on his critique of the globalist agenda that dominates much of Europe, warning that, ultimately, it may be the downfall of the “the cradle of Western civilization”.

“The entire idea of Christian civilisation that led to the founding of the United States of America was formed in Europe. The cultural bonds, the religious bonds – these things are going to last beyond political disagreements,” Vance said.

“But I think that Europe, and frankly, I would have said this about America a year ago, is at risk, I think, of engaging in civilizational suicide.”

Vance particularly highlighted the open borders agenda that has come to dominate much of Europe over the past decade and the increasingly authoritarian speech restrictions imposed by supposedly liberal governments in the EU and UK. ‘Don’t You All Have Jobs?’: JD Vance Calls On Protesters Demonstrating Against His Event To Get ‘Back To Work’

Vice President J.D. Vance told workers during a speech Friday in Bay City, Michigan, that demonstrators outside the event should “get off the streets and back to work.”

Vance and U.S. Small Business Administration chief Kelly Loeffler toured Vantage Plastics, a plastic manufacturer located in Michigan, and delivered remarks on “highlighting America’s industrial resurgence.” The vice president, during a speech at the facility, said the protesters outside of the event are proof that President Donald Trump’s administration needs to bring back manufacturing to the U.S. in order for them to have less time on their hands.

“We’ve got this great event, this great facility, great business and of course, great workers and I’m sure all of us saw there were a few protesters outside and I can’t be the only person wondering, you know, it’s a little after noon on a Friday, and don’t you all have jobs?” Vance said. “I mean, who are the people? And I think that’s one of the reasons why we’ve got to rebuild American manufacturing and support great companies like Vantage Plastics because we want these people to get off the streets and back to work. It’d be good for them and it’s be good for everybody else too.”

Vantage Plastics received a $1.2 million grant from Michigan in 2023 to be based in the state and create 93 new jobs, according to Bridge Michigan. The event, attended by Vance and Loeffler, addressed the “future of American manufacturing,” which the Trump administration has strived to improve.

Trump plans to impose tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, including 50% tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel imported to the U.S., with the intent of returning manufacturing to the U.S. from overseas. The president also announced the creation of the “Office of Shipbuilding” with the intent to revive both commercial and military shipbuilding at a time where China has outpaced the U.S. in maritime manufacturing. JD Vance Calls Out Screaming Protesters for ‘Chasing’ His 3-Year-Old Daughter

Vice President J.D. Vance called out pro-Ukrainian protesters Saturday for screaming as they chased him down on a walk with his 3-year-old daughter, Mirabel.

“Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of ‘Slava Ukraini’ protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared,” Vance wrote on X.

Vance confronted the protesters in an interaction that was captured on video by WCPO 9. As Ukrainian flag-waving activists complained to the vice president that “people are dying,” he calmly and collectively spoke to their concerns about Russia and a hopeful end to the war.

“Russia certainly invaded Ukraine in 2022, but there needs to be a settlement,” Vance told the protesters as one woman began to shout over him. More protesters joined in as Vance explained that he was trying to be respectful, shouting that the vice president has “no integrity.”

Oval Office Zee-Struction! Trump Torches ’Disrespectful’ Zelensky

U.S. Vice President JD Vance put down President Volodymyr Zelensky after he dismissed the effectiveness of American diplomacy, forcefully telling the Ukrainian he was acting without respect.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the White House on Friday for talks with President Donald Trump and, it is thought, to sign the much-discussed minerals deal. As is customary, Trump and his senior colleagues sat down with Zelensky in the oval office with press cameras present for a brief discussion before the real talks would begin in private, but a beligerent attitude from Zelensky derailed proceedings before they even began.

Responding to talk about the importance of diplomacy, President Zelensky appeared to dismiss the utility of American influence altogether, saying under President Obama, the Trump first term, and Biden the U.S. had achieved nothing through talk. This caustic statement, finishing with a rhetoric “what kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about? What do you mean?” led to Vice President Vance to retort, with evident distaste: “I’m talking about the kind of diplomacy that’s going end the destruction of your country. JD Vance Tangles With British PM Starmer Over ‘Infringements on Free Speech’ in Contentious Oval Office Meeting (VIDEO)

The “special relationship” between the US and the UK got awkward Thursday, when Vice President JD Vance confronted British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the Oval Office over the longtime American ally’s weakening of freedom of speech.

Earlier this month, at the Munich Security Conference, Vance had riled European opinion by decrying what he called “the threat from within, the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values—values shared with the United States of America.”

Vance stood by his comments Thursday when pressed by a reporter, saying: “I said what I said, which is that we do have, of course, a special relationship with our friends in the UK and also with some of our European allies.

“But we also know that there have been infringements on free speech that actually affect not just the British, of course, what the British do in their own country is up to them,” the 40-year-old added, “but also affect American technology companies and, by extension, American citizens. So that is something that we’ll talk about today at lunch.” . . .

In Munich, Vance had rattled off examples of criminal convictions in Europe for what would be protected First Amendment activity in America, including the case of 51-year-old British Army veteran and physiotherapist Adam Smith-Connor, who was ordered to pay £9,000 ($11,346) for violating a buffer zone while praying outside of an abortion clinic. Vance’s Munich Speech Threw Down the Gauntlet and Left EU Leaders Melting Down

. . .This was the moment for President Trump’s administration to make its grand entrance onto the world stage—and they rolled into Europe like a boss. And yes, Vance threw down the gauntlet, putting every European leader on notice.

Vance made it clear—Europe and America are drifting apart. They’re heading straight into communist waters, while we’re swimming in a sea of freedom. Finally.

It’s time for them to reverse course and join us.

He called out the globalist leaders for being manic little tyrants who have weaponized censorship and obliterated free speech. He also highlighted the shameful case of a British man arrested for the so-called “crime” of praying outside an abortion clinic.

Lines like this are timeless:

“I wish I could say that this was a fluke, a one-off crazy example of a badly written law being enacted against a single person. But no… Free speech, I fear, is in retreat.”

Trump And Vance Aren’t Defying The Constitution, They’re Following It

Under the Constitution, “the President is invested with certain important political powers, in the exercise of which he is to use his own discretion.” For his decisions, “he is accountable only to his country in his political character, and to his own conscience.” His choices cannot be questioned in court because “the subjects are political. They respect the nation, not individual rights, and being entrusted to the executive, the decision of the executive is conclusive.”

Who penned these outrageous words? Democrats and many pundits might answer Vice President J.D. Vance. Over the weekend, Vance provoked an onslaught of criticism for suggesting that federal district judges “aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

But the usual suspects would be wrong. The right answer is John Marshall, the greatest chief justice in Supreme Court history. And he did not squirrel this view away in a private journal. Instead, Marshall publicly explained that courts could not review presidential decisions on “political” subjects “entrusted to the executive” in a Supreme Court opinion.

He announced this principle not just in any case, but in Marbury v. Madison, the greatest opinion in Supreme Court history. The very same Marbury that concluded that federal judges should reject unconstitutional statutes, also recognized that courts could not intrude into the president’s exercise of his constitutional — dare we say “legitimate” — powers. Marshall’s opinion has given rise to the “political question doctrine,” which prohibits courts from reviewing decisions vested in the Constitution in the other branches, such as making war, prosecuting cases, and conducting impeachments.

Nevertheless, Democrats and pundits have exaggerated Vance’s remarks into a “constitutional crisis.” They claim that the Trump administration is threatening to defy court orders before overthrowing the constitutional structure, governing by presidential decree, and ruling without regard to the law. To be sure, all of us ought by now to be accustomed to such bizarre and overwrought reactions from Trump’s and Vance’s critics — and to write them off. Marshall himself would have seen these claims as a deliberate misrepresentation of the separation of powers. Americans should today as well. Trump Gives Surprising Answer When Asked About JD Vance Being His Successor in 2028

President Trump has said it’s too early to know if he will anoint Vice President JD Vance as his would-be successor ahead of the 2028 election.

Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier asked Trump, 78, in an interview taped ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl: “Do you view Vice President JD Vanceas your successor, the Republican nominee in 2028?”

“No, but he’s very capable,” Trump replied.

“I think you have a lot of very capable people,” the president added. “So far I think he’s doing a fantastic job. It’s too early. We’re just starting.”

“By the time we get to get to the midterms,” Baier interjected, “[Vance] is going to be looking for an endorsement.” (Read more from “Trump Gives Surprising Answer When Asked About JD Vance Being His Successor in 2028” HERE)
