Jill Biden made an unannounced trip to Ukraine on Mother’s Day to meet with first lady Olena Zelenska in a show of support for the country and its people.

“I wanted to come on Mother’s Day,” the U.S. first lady said. “I thought it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war has to stop and this war has been brutal and that the people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine. . .

Meanwhile, back in the U.S., Biden had a phone call with G7 leaders and then played golf with his brother.

Jill Biden Visits Ukraine, Meets First Lady

Jill Biden made an unannounced visit to western Ukraine on Sunday, holding a surprise Mother’s Day meeting with first lady Olena Zelenska to show U.S. support for the embattled nation as Russia presses its punishing war in the eastern regions.

She became the latest high-profile American to enter Ukraine during the war, while Zalenska’s public appearance was her first since since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24

The president confused the two women in his life during a speech at a Women’s History Month celebration at the White House.

“[T]here’s been a little change in the arrangement of who’s on the stage because of the first lady’s husband contracting COVID,” Biden said. . .

After Biden’s blunder, first lady Jill Biden interrupted the president to point out his mistake. . .

Now-Deleted Harris Tweet Claimed US Is Supporting Ukraine ‘in Defense of the NATO Alliance’

By Fox News. A social media account for Vice President Kamala Harris stated Tuesday in a now-deleted tweet that the United States is supporting Ukraine “in defense of the NATO alliance,” which the Ukraine is not a part of.

“When I was in Poland, I met with U.S. and Polish service members, thanking them for standing with our NATO allies for freedom, peace, and security,” a tweet from the @KamalaHarris account stated. “The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.”

The remarks made in the tweet, which featured a photo of Harris greeting American and Polish service members, come on the heels of similar statements she made while addressing House Democrats over the weekend at the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) winter meeting in D.C.

“Russia’s invasion threatens not just Ukraine’s democracy, it threatens democracy and security across Europe,” Harris said. “So I will say what I know we all say, and I will say over and over again: The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.”

Those remarks prompted the White House to alter the transcript from the event, adding “[and]” to make it appear that she said the United States supports Ukraine and defends surrounding NATO countries. First lady Jill Biden has called concerns and questions about President Biden’s mental fitness “ridiculous” as speculation swirls about whether he will seek a second term in 2024 and who will succeed him if he does not.

In an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” that is set to air this weekend, Jill Biden was pressed on a recent poll that shows registered voters split on the question of whether the president is “mentally fit.”

“Quite a few Americans have some questions about the president’s current mental fitness,” CBS correspondent Rita Braver suggested to the first lady.

“I think that’s ridiculous,” Jill Biden responded in a portion of the interview released Thursday.

The Politico/Morning Consult survey highlighted in the interview was conducted last month and found that only 46 percent of respondents agreed with the statement “Joe Biden is mentally fit,” while 48 percent disagreed. Biden Blunders: President Serves up More Word Salad, Jokes Jill Biden Has Second Husband, Loses His Mask

President Joe Biden seemed to fumble his words during his Monday address ahead of signing the bipartisan infrastructure bill, then joked that first lady Jill Biden had a second husband.

During his speech , Biden made the bizarre joke as he thanked his roster for their contributions in bringing the bipartisan infrastructure bill to fruition.

“I want to thank everyone who helped make this happen,” Biden said. “Vice President Harris, my Cabinet members, my White House team, Jill, Doug, our first lady, and our … second husband, no I’m joking.” . . .

Before sitting down to sign the bill, Biden appeared to forget his face mask, but after returning to the podium, he couldn’t find it.

The White House tried to downplay photos of President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden maskless in an upscale Washington, D.C., restaurant, contravening the capital’s indoor mandate.

The Bidens had their masks in hand as they left Italian seafood restaurant Fiola Mare last Saturday, according to Jen Psaki.

“There are moments when we all don’t put masks back on as quickly as we should,” she told reporters Monday. “But I don’t think we should lose the forest through the trees here.” . . .

The Bizarre Connection Between Jill Biden and ‘Wife-Killer’ Robert Durst

Jill Biden’s ex-husband revealed that he had an intimate relationship with the first wife of accused killer and New York real estate heir Robert Durst — just 10 days before she vanished in 1982.

Bill Stevenson, who was married to the first lady from 1970 to 1975, said in an interview with News 12 Westchester that he decided to open up about the affair for the first time because of Durst’s failing health and ongoing trial.

“I feel like I’m the missing link in this case,” Stevenson, a concert hall owner from Delaware, told the outlet’s Tara Rosenbloom. . .

Kathie went on to marry one of America’s most notorious suspected serial killers, while Stevenson got hitched to Jill, who eventually married the future president.

Hilarious Video: Jill Biden Tries to Speak Spanish

First Lady Jill Biden tried to speak Spanish on Wednesday at an event honoring César Chávez but seemed to have trouble with pronunciation.

Biden tried to pronounce “Sí Se Puede!” which means “Yes we can!” in Spanish — tried, and didn’t quite succeed.

Biden’s pronunciation was quickly mocked on Twitter, with some trying to phonetically spell out her pronunciation of “puede.”

Any respectable crowd would have let it go, but not this leftist one. Of course, the gaffe-master himself, VP Joe Biden, was encouraging the childish behavior from the background.
