Biden Administration Threatens Texas Over Trans Kids

President Joe Biden’s administration warned Wednesday that it will take “immediate action if needed” to protect children involved in transgender surgery procedures.

Both the White House and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra issued statements Wednesday evening condemning Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX)’s direction to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate the parents of children who have undergone “so-called ‘sex change’ procedures.”

“This is government overreach at its worst,” Biden said in a statement. “Like so many anti-transgender attacks proliferating in states across the country, the Governor’s actions callously threaten to harm children and their families just to score political points.

“These actions are terrifying many families in Texas and beyond,” he added. “And they must stop.”

Becerra promised that HHS is “committed to protecting young Americans who are targeted because of their sexual orientation or gender identity” and said that he has directed HHS to “evaluate the tools at our disposal to protect trans and gender diverse youth in Texas.” (Read more from “Biden Administration Threatens Texas Over Trans Kids” HERE)

Joe Biden’s State of the Union Previewed Dems’ Fake Attempt to Walk Back Their Culture War

Joe Biden’s ”State of the Union” address clearly marked an attempt by his White House to make their culture war seem like an afterthought. It’s not, of course, as evidenced by the president’s description of abortion as “health care” and his demand that Congress pass the radical Equality Act. But the bulk of Biden’s speech focused on “meat and potatoes,” as Chris Hayes repeatedly claimed during MSNBC’s coverage.

It’s true, Biden dedicated much of his address to Ukraine, infrastructure, the economy, health care, and Covid-19. He earned a robust round of applause with a line that said, “We should all agree the answer is not to defund the police. It is to fund the police.” He touched on guns, immigration, and the environment, but they were hardly his focus. Notably, Joy Reid lamented the absence of Jan. 6 from Biden’s address, arguing it was characteristically devoid of “red meat.”

Reid was right to find that balance remarkable. Rather than signaling a shift away from Democrats’ scorched-earth culture war, Biden’s speech signaled a shift away from the party’s strategy of obsessing over identity politics. This comes with an enormous caveat: Democrats cannot and will not meaningfully make any such pivot beyond rhetoric.

Until they’re willing to drop truly radical policies like the Equality Act, it’s all smoke and mirrors meant to distract voters from what they’re actually doing to the culture. Democrats cannot simply pretend the summer of 2020 and the lockdowns never happened, no matter how much the media might help them try, because the party has now spent years committing to inflated definitions of bigotry that would condemn any moderation from their positions. Biden SCOTUS Pick: Judicial System ‘Unfair’ to Sex Offenders

President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, acknowledged in a Senate confirmation questionnaire that she was the author of a paper published anonymously that charged the American judicial system was “unfair” to sex offenders.

The paper, which said sex offenders’ punishments had been “excessive,” “unfair and unnecessarily burdensome,” was titled “Prevention Versus Punishment: Toward a Principled Distinction in the Restraint of Released Sex Offenders.”

It was published in 1996 in the Harvard Law Review as a “note.” Jackson did not disclose her authorship until the Senate Judiciary Committee asked her to list published writings as part of her nomination, Just the News reported

She argued that courts had been “unable” to differentiate between “preventive” and “punitive” punishments for sex offenders. . .

“[E]ven in the face of understandable public outrage over repeat sexual predators, a principled prevention/punishment analysis evaluates the effect of the challenged legislation in a manner that reinforces constitutional safeguards against unfair and unnecessarily burdensome legislative action,” she wrote. China Largely Ignores Biden’s State of the Union Speech

President Joe Biden had very little to say about China in his first State of the Union (SOTU) address on Tuesday night, and Chinese media returned the favor by saying very little about Biden’s speech.

China’s state-run Global Times counted only two mentions of China in the speech, neither of them terribly confrontational (Biden added a third in the remarks as delivered). The Chinese paper dismissed Biden’s address as a weak imitation of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s famed “Iron Curtain” speech that unsuccessfully sought to use Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to rally the divided American political parties behind Biden’s presidency.

The Global Times quoted Fudan University professor Shen Yi mocking Biden’s claims of leadership against Russia:

“If the US has been prepared for Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, why is Washington still discussing with other countries on how to sanction Russia on SWIFT? If US intelligence agencies can make correct early-warnings about Russia’s operation, but the White House failed to fully prepare for sanctions, the US’ capability and national strength are in trouble,” Shen said.

Biden said in his speech that “Our forces are not going to Europe to fight in Ukraine, but to defend our NATO Allies.” But Shen said this is another pointless line that shows Biden’s weakness. “This means the US will leave Ukraine alone even though Kiev pinned high hopes on Washington. To defend NATO? Did Russia say it wants to invade NATO?”

It’s Now Clear How Misinformed the Public Has Been About the Risks of COVID-19

Now that President Joe Biden has declared that Americans can begin to return to life as normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s possible to look back at the toll it wrought on the United States and how that compares to the perception of the American people.

After recent polling showed that a majority of Americans are ready to begin moving toward a society without COVID-19 restrictions, Democratic governors and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) began to lift mask mandates and relax mask guidance that Democratic voters have largely supported throughout the pandemic. There’s a sharp partisan divide still between Democrats who are more wary about moving on and Republicans who generally already have, and it can be explained by how misinformed the American people are about the risks of COVID-19.

Since January 21, 2020, there have been 78.8 million positive COVID-19 tests in the United States, according to the CDC, and according to any expert, at least tens of millions more undiagnosed cases. As of March 1, 947,882 Americans have died of the virus, the vast majority of them elderly or with serious comorbidities. 1,433 Americans under age 18 have died with COVID-19, making up about 0.1% of total deaths. Seventy-five percent of COVID-19 deaths have been in Americans aged 65 and older, and among the vaccinated, over 75% of COVID-19 deaths occurred in people with at least four comorbidities, such as obesity, diabetes or cancer.

Man Forced to Return ‘Offensive’ Let’s Go Brandon License Plate

An Alabama man is being instructed to return a personalized “LGBF JB” license plate he received in January after ordering it in October or he would have his vehicle registration canceled because the plate featured “objectionable language.”

The Alabama Department of Revenue’s Motor Vehicle Division in February recalled the license plate and sent a letter to the man telling him to return the license plate for language it considered “objectionable” because the letters are seen as a reference to “Let’s go, Brandon, f–k Joe Biden.”

The license plate is yellow and includes the “Don’t Tread on Me” Gadsen symbol. The vehicle also features a license plate cover that reads “FJB” and “Let’s Go Brandon” but the cover was not purchased from the state along with the plate.

The vehicle’s owner, Nathan Kirk, was told in the letter that the state considered the license plate to be “offensive to the peace and dignity of the State of Alabama,” according to The Trussville Tribune.

Kirk’s registration for the license plate would not be issued or renewed, the letter read, adding that he must return the license plate within 10 days or face fines of “$500 for the first offense and $1,000 for the second or subsequent offense” on top of his vehicle’s registration being revoked. Navy SEALs Notch Another Win Against Biden Admin Vaccine Mandate

President Joe Biden’s endeavor to reimpose a COVID-19 vaccination mandate for the U.S. Navy was stopped by a federal appeals court Monday.

The court’s decision follows a Fort Worth district judge’s temporary halt to Biden’s mandate in early January while the case was under consideration, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The original mandate, which required service members receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by November 2021, was challenged by a group of active duty Navy SEALs seeking religious exemptions.

The court found that Biden’s Department of Defense (DOD) did not demonstrate “‘paramount interests’ that justify vaccinating these 35 Plaintiffs against COVID-19 in violation of their religious beliefs.” The court also stated that the Navy prepared unvaccinated SEALs for deployment during the pandemic, which “undermined” the Navy’s alleged “compelling interest” in a vaccine mandate. Joe Biden’s America Pays Putin $70 Million per Day for Oil

Think about the madness of this… Joe Biden is running around trying to look tough, hitting Russia with sanctions over Vladimir Putin’s obscene invasion of Ukraine. But at the same time, we pay Russia in the vicinity of $70 million per day for oil imports.

In other words, during these seven days of Putin’s criminal war against Ukraine, we’ve sent this same Putin during those same seven days close to a half-billion dollars! . . .

On the one hand, Biden claims to be crippling Vlad with sanctions, while on the other hand, we’re slipping him $70 million PER DAY! . . .

“In 2021, the U.S. imported an average of 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 500,000 bpd of other petroleum products from Russia.”

In Leaks About Failed Russian Diplomacy, Biden Exposed Dangerous Weakness on China

The Biden administration’s weakness and incompetence were on full display in a New York Times article last week recounting the White House’s repeated—and failed— attempts to urge China to help avert war in Ukraine. The purpose of the article was to allow senior administration officials to take their duplicitous Chinese counterparts to task, but the account reveals above all that White House officials are out of their depth in dealing with China.

It is nearly impossible to read the Biden administration’s side of the story without perceiving the weakness, gullibility, and ineffectiveness that the Biden White House unwittingly presents. Administration officials describe how they were “repeatedly rebuffed” by Chinese officials even as the Americans scrambled for “half a dozen urgent meetings over three months” to try to avert the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The article repeats how “Each time, the Chinese officials… rebuffed the Americans,” as if to drive home the humiliating point.

These rebuffed Americans are quickly recast as duped Americans. Biden officials disclosed to The New York Times that they shared intelligence with their Chinese counterparts only to be double-crossed when the Chinese quickly leaked that intel to the Russians.

To add insult to injury, the Chinese also told the Russians that the Americans were “trying to sow discord,” and promised Moscow that Beijing would not interfere with Russia’s war plans. The Biden officials who leaked these details must not be aware of how embarrassing they are.

The article then provides a background on the growing public partnership between the Russian and Chinese autocrats, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, with their countries’ ties appearing stronger than any time since the Cold War. U.S. officials figured that if anyone could talk Putin out of an attack on Ukraine, it was Xi, given that Putin and Xi have met 37 times as national leaders. But Xi didn’t, and Chinese officials “persistently sided with Russia.” The Biden officials were for some reason puzzled about why. Biden Plans to Highlight These Two Big Topics During SOTU Address

President Joe Biden will address surging inflation and tout the U.S. response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine during Tuesday evening’s State of the Union address.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki hinted Sunday that Biden’s SOTU address had partially pivoted due to the Russian invasion. Still, she told ABC News’ “This Week” at the time, the American president plans to also focus on matters closer to home, The Hill reported.

According to excerpts of Biden’s SOTU speech provided to the Daily Caller, Biden will argue that there’s “a better plan to fight inflation” than driving “down wages and” making “Americans poorer.”

“Lower your costs, not your wages,” Biden will say, focusing on his push to rely less on other countries for products. “Make more cars and semiconductors in America. More infrastructure and innovation in America. More goods moving faster and cheaper in America. More jobs where you can earn a good living in America.
