Biden Tells Harris to ‘Hang On’ When She Interrupts Him During Meeting, Calls Her ‘President’

President Biden on Friday joked that Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is his “boss” and referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the “president” while he delivered an update on hurricane recovery efforts from the White House.

Seated in the Roosevelt Room with members of his Cabinet, including the secretary and the vice president, who joined by teleconference, Biden said the priorities for his administration are power restoration and debris removal.

“Our heart goes out to all those folks who’ve lost not only personal property, but their homes and some lost lives and grieving after the aftermath of the tornadoes, brutal wind, record downpours and historic flooding,” Biden said.

The president informed reporters that he has spoken with dozens of officials from North Carolina, Florida and other states impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the last two weeks. According to Biden, experts have estimated that Milton caused $50 billion in damage alone. . .

North Carolina authorities on Friday confirmed at least 92 storm-related fatalities from Hurricane Helene, but were unable to provide the number of those who remain missing or unaccounted for. Florida officials confirmed at least eight people are dead after Hurricane Milton spawned at least four tornadoes which wreaked havoc in St. Lucie County, The Associated Press reported. Harris Is Only Running For President Because It Became Impossible To Hide Biden’s Decline

In her appearance on “The View” this week, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked if she would have done anything differently than President Joe Biden over the past four years. She answered, incredibly, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.”

Commentators were quick to note how disastrous an answer it was given Harris’ previous efforts to distinguish herself from Biden, whose tenure in office is widely seen as a failure. The problem for Harris of course is that she’s the current vice president, which means she’s not the challenger but the de facto incumbent. Distinguishing herself from Biden was always going to be difficult. What’s more, the Biden White House has gone out of its way to emphasize how integral Harris has been to the administration. Biden himself said last week, she has been “a major player in everything we’ve done.”

Previous attempts by Harris to distance herself from Biden, like choosing “A New Way Forward” as her campaign slogan, or talking about what she’ll do on “day one in office,” have come off as fake and half-hearted. They have also lacked credibility. As former President Donald Trump noted in the debate last month, she’s been in office nearly four years. Why hasn’t she done any of the things she says she’ll do if she wins the presidency?

But Harris’ answer on “The View” also did something else, which might be even worse for her electoral prospects than endorsing all of Biden’s decisions. She inadvertently exposed the uncomfortable truth at the heart of her campaign, which Harris and the corporate media desperately don’t want to talk about.

And the truth is this: she’s only running for president because it became impossible to hide Biden’s cognitive decline. (Read more from “Harris Is Only Running For President Because It Became Impossible To Hide Biden’s Decline” HERE)

Book States Biden Blames Obama For Russia Invading Ukraine: He ‘F***ed Up’

President Joe Biden blamed former President Barack Obama for Russia invading Ukraine in 2022, according to a new book from Bob Woodward, saying that the former president’s weakness in 2014 led to Russian President Vladimir Putin feeling emboldened to go further.

During a moment of political upheaval in February 2014, Russian soldiers, wearing uniforms with no insignias, seized government buildings throughout Crimea and later seized its airports. Russia illegally annexed Crimea the following month.

In his new book, “War,” journalist Bob Woodward says that Biden blamed Obama for Russia invading Ukraine.

“They f***ed up in 2014,” Biden said to a friend, according to Woodward. “That’s why we are here. We f***ed it up. Barack never took Putin seriously.”

“We did nothing. We gave Putin a license to continue!” Biden reportedly fumed. “Well, I’m revoking his f***ing license!” (Read more from “Book States Biden Blames Obama For Russia Invading Ukraine: He ‘F***ed Up’” HERE)

Harris and Biden Clash in Final Weeks of Her White House Run

Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden say they’re singing from the same song sheet but haven’t always been on the same page in the campaign’s final weeks.

Both have publicly said that they’re closely aligned on policy, which could be problematic in and of itself as Harris brands herself a change candidate. Yet the two were at odds when it came to a high-profile Republican governor and sharing the spotlight.

Harris has accused Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) of being “selfish” for ignoring her phone calls amid preparations for Hurricane Milton. While DeSantis pushed back strongly, saying Harris had never called him about a storm before she ran for president, that she’s “not in the chain of command” for weather operations, and advising her to look in the mirror when making accusations of politicking.

That type of cross-party argument is expected in today’s political environment, but Harris’s claims have also been undermined by her boss. Biden spoke with DeSantis over the phone Monday night and praised the Florida governor afterward.

“The governor of Florida has been cooperative,” Biden said Tuesday. “He said he’s gotten all that he needs. I talked to him again yesterday. And I said, ‘I know you’re doing a great job. It’s all being done well. We thank you for it.’ And I literally gave him my personal phone number to call.” (Read more from “Harris and Biden Clash in Final Weeks of Her White House Run” HERE)

KJP Refuses To Say Whether Biden Will Leave White House For His Private Residence During Hurricane Landfall

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused Wednesday to answer whether President Joe Biden will remain at the White House or depart for his private residence during Hurricane Milton’s landfall.

Biden postponed his upcoming trip for Germany and Angola as Hurricane Milton, a Category 4 storm, is set to make landfall and potentially cause destruction in Florida. Jean-Pierre said the president does not currently have any travel plans for Florida and did not make it clear whether he intends to remain at the White House.

“Will [Biden] be here the whole time, probably, is it possible he will go to Delaware over the weekend, are you guys talking about a possible trip to Florida at some point already?” CNN senior White House correspondent MJ Lee asked.

“The president’s gonna continue to get hurricane briefings, not just on Milton, and how we’re preparing and what’s happening. He is going to be laser focused on that as well as the vice president,” Jean-Pierre said. “So he will continue to be updated, continue to get those briefings, I don’t have any travel to read out to you at this time, whether it is to the impacted areas or outside of that. What I can say is the president is going to continue to be laser focused on the storms and what’s happening, the preparations, how we are still certainly responding to the immediate needs of folks who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene as well. That is also very much in front of us and what we’re trying to do and get done there, but that’s gonna be his focus.” (Read more from “KJP Refuses To Say Whether Biden Will Leave White House For His Private Residence During Hurricane Landfall” HERE)

Harris Finally Takes Full Ownership of Every Disastrous Biden Policy

Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed her alignment with President Joe Biden during an interview on Tuesday morning on “The View.”

Harris was asked whether she would have “done something differently than President Biden during the past four years.”

In her response, she ostensibly admitted that a Harris presidency would be no different from Biden’s.

“There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of — and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact,” she replied.

Wall Street Journal senior political correspondent Molly Ball reacted to Harris’ response, stating, “I’m surprised, frankly, that she doesn’t have more to say about this given that she and her campaign know that this is one of the main questions that voters have about her.” (Read more from “Harris Finally Takes Full Ownership of Every Disastrous Biden Policy” HERE)

‘Incredible’: President Joe Biden Accused of Trying to ‘Destroy’ Kamala Harris’s Campaign

President Joe Biden (D) is being accused of trying to ruin Vice President Kamala Harris’s (D) campaign for the White House.

During a press conference Friday, a reporter asked Biden how Harris worked on recent crises in the nation and “what role she has played over the past several days,” according to video footage.

“I’m in constant contact with her,” Biden said. “She’s aware… we’re singing from the same song sheet. She helped pass all the laws that are being employed now. She was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of legislation in which we were told we could never pass.”

“Her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing,” Biden added. . .

Gang That Grew Out of Venezuelan Prisons Fueling U.S. Crime Wave

Two cops shot in New York City. A jogger beaten to death in Georgia. A Texas hotel taken over by armed criminals.

The common thread in a sprawling nationwide web of violence, according to law enforcement officials, is a ruthless Venezuelan prison gang exporting its drug-weapon-human-trafficking operations north to U.S. cities.

But the gang’s leaders have largely eluded any effort to bring them to justice in the U.S., according to analysts who have studied Tren de Aragua, or TDA, as the gang is commonly known.

TDA’s secretive hierarchy has helped its crime bosses stay steps ahead of U.S. authorities, said Gregg Etter, a University of Central Missouri criminologist who has written extensively about the gang.

More than 150 TDA members have been arrested at the border, and dozens more inside the U.S., the past two years. But thanks to the group’s decentralized chain of command, police are mainly capturing low-level gang members, Mr. Etter told The Washington Times. Biden Says U.S. Discussing Possible Israeli Strikes on Iran Oil Facilities

Joe Biden has said the US is discussing with Israel the possibility of Israeli strikes on Iran’s oil infrastructure.

When asked if he would support such strikes, Mr Biden said: “We’re discussing that. I think that would be a little… anyway.”

His off-the-cuff remarks, made as he left the White House, did not make clear Washington’s stance. Mr Biden has previously said he would not support Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The price of benchmark Brent crude oil shot up by 5% immediately after the remarks. It has now increased by 10% since Iran’s large-scale missile attack on Israel on Tuesday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran “will pay a heavy price” for Tuesday’s attack, which saw at least 180 ballistic missiles fired at Israel. (Read more from “Biden Says U.S. Discussing Possible Israeli Strikes on Iran Oil Facilities” HERE)

White House Reporters Audibly Shocked at Sight of Joe Biden in White House Briefing Room

Reporters in the White House press briefing were audibly shocked when President Joe Biden entered the room Friday to take questions for the first time in his administration.

Biden paid a surprise visit to the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room to give remarks about the latest jobs report and take several questions for about 15 minutes. Reporters gasped when the president entered the room for the first time in his presidency alongside White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

When Biden began his fourth year in office, he was averaging the lowest number of press conferences per year, 11, since former President Ronald Reagan, according to data compiled by the University of California at Santa Barbara’s American Presidency Project. As of Feb. 2024, Biden had participated in fewer interviews with media outlets than his predecessors, only doing 86 interviews since his inauguration in 2021, according to NBC News.

The president appeared in the briefing room after an early morning report from Axios that the president has had no public events scheduled on 43 of the 75 days since he ended his 2024 campaign. Of the public events the president did participate in, only two were scheduled before 11 a.m., zero before 10 a.m. and five after 5 p.m., the Axios analysis shows. The president has also taken all calls and meetings with world leaders, except for one instance, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m since leaving the race, Axios reported.
