By WND. Don’t look now, but with President Trump out of the White House, establishment media and some government leaders are signaling the coronavirus pandemic has dramatically turned a corner. . .

Blaze TV host Steve Deace, who compiled a list on Facebook of developments this week, pointed out that the narrative NPR published on the day before the inauguration conflicted with its assessment the day after.

On Jan. 19, NPR ran the headline “As Death Rate Accelerates, U.S. Records 400,000 Lives Lost to Coronavirus.” But on Jan. 21, it featured a story titled “Current, Deadly U.S. Coronavirus Surge Has Peaked, Researchers Say.” . . .

A peer-reviewed paper favorable to the “Trump drug” hydroxychloroquine completed in August was published in the American Journal of Medicine.

Now WHO Admits ‘Gold Standard’ COVID Test Is Unreliable

By WND. The World Health Organization has officially acknowledged that the “gold standard” test used to diagnose COVID-19 has a high rate of false-positives that make it unreliable. . .

“Where test results do not correspond with the clinical presentation, a new specimen should be taken,” the guidance says.

The WHO warns that most PCR tests “are indicated as an aid for diagnosis,” meaning health care providers should consider at least seven other factors to confirm any test.

This State Just Sued the Biden Administration

Just two days after President Joe Biden took office, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) announced Friday that he’s suing the Biden administration over its plan to freeze most deportations for the next 100 days, an early signal that some conservative state officials plan on fighting in courtrooms to halt Biden’s agenda.

Paxton’s lawsuit aims to reverse a 100-day deportation moratorium imposed by Biden starting Friday, which pauses removals for most immigrants who entered the United States before November and aren’t deemed national security threats.

Paxton claims the deportation freeze runs afoul of federal law and violates a contract DHS signed with Texas in the final weeks of former President Donald Trump’s term, in which the federal government promised to give the state written warning and 180 days to weigh in before enacting any major changes to immigration policy. ‘WE ARE UNGOVERNABLE’: Antifa in Seattle and Portland Smash Property, Oppose Biden, Police

Far-left activists vandalized buildings and clashed with police in the Pacific Northwest on Jan. 20, voicing their opposition to the government, law enforcement, and the freshly sworn-in President Joe Biden, with some carrying signs reading, “We are ungovernable.”

In Portland, black-clad activists with their faces covered broke windows and the glass door at the Democratic Party of Oregon business office, spray-painting an anarchist symbol over the party sign, video posted on social media showed. Some of them tipped over garbage containers and lit the contents on fire, according to reports.

“We don’t want Biden. We want revenge for police murders, imperialist wars, and fascist massacres,” read a banner they marched under, while others carried a banner saying, “We are not governable,” which was dotted with anarchy symbols.

‘Catholic’ Biden Marks Roe V. Wade Anniversary With Pledge to Make Abortion Available for ‘Everyone’

President Joe Biden, who calls himself Catholic, marked the 48th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that brought legal abortion to all of America with a pledge that he will make sure that “everyone” who wants it has access to the procedure of killing their preborn children.

“In the past four years, reproductive health, including the right to choose, has been under relentless and extreme attack. We are deeply committed to making sure everyone has access to care — including reproductive health care — regardless of income, race, zip code, health insurance status, or immigration status,” said Biden via a White House Press Office statement that was attributed to both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to codifying Roe v. Wade and appointing judges that respect foundational precedents like Roe. We are also committed to ensuring that we work to eliminate maternal and infant health disparities, increase access to contraception, and support families economically so that all parents can raise their families with dignity. This commitment extends to our critical work on health outcomes around the world,” the statement continued.

“As the Biden-Harris Administration begins in this critical moment, now is the time to rededicate ourselves to ensuring that all individuals have access to the health care they need,” the statement concluded. Biden Orders Assessment of ‘Domestic Violent Extremism’ Threat

President Biden on Friday ordered the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to conduct a “comprehensive threat assessment” on “domestic violent extremism” along with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at the White House.

Psaki said Biden wants “fact-based analysis to shape policy,” the building of National Security Council “capacity” to counter “domestic violent extremism,” and the “coordinating of relevant parts of government to accelerate and enhance” the effort.

The issuing of the order on Biden’s second full day along with the intent to “accelerate” the initiative confirmed the disclosure Thursday by former Obama CIA Director John Brennan, that — amid calls by Democratic leaders to “deprogram” and “reeducate” Trump supporters — the Biden team was “moving in laser-light fashion” to root out an “unholy alliance” that includes “religious extremists” and libertarians.

While Biden has not specified the targets of his “domestic violent extremism” thrust, he touched on the issue in his inaugural address Wednesday, speaking of “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat.”

Sen. Biden to Reverse Policy Preventing Taxpayer Dollars From Funding Abortions Abroad

President Biden is set to allow federal funds to be used for abortions abroad, by rolling back the Mexico City Policy renewed by the Trump administration, Dr. Anthony Fauci said.

“It will be our policy to support women’s and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights in the United States, as well as globally,” Fauci said during remarks to the World Health Organization. “To that end, President Biden will be revoking the Mexico City Policy in the coming days, as part of his broader commitment to protect women’s health and advance gender equality at home and around the world.”

Biden Admin Faced Day One Controversy Over Change to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Twitter Account

The Biden administration on Wednesday stirred controversy on day one by temporarily changing the Twitter account for the U.S. Ambassador to Israel before reversing the change after a report from the Washington Free Beacon called attention to it.

The Twitter account, which was most recently operated by former Ambassador David Friedman, was changed to read, “U.S. Ambassador to Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza,” after Friedman vacated his office. The modified account drew heavy criticism from Republican lawmakers and others who thought that the change suggested the United States would not recognize Israeli control over the West Bank and Gaza amid the ongoing dispute between Israel and the Palestinians. . .

The Trump administration’s Middle East policy placed a strong emphasis on strengthening ties with Israel. In 2017, Trump became the first U.S. president to keep his campaign promise of moving the embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing the city as Israel’s capital, a move that infuriated Palestinians who have long claimed the city as their own. Violating Norms on Day One, Biden Axes Respected Labor Attorney

President Joe Biden caved to the demands of labor unions and fired the National Labor Relations Board’s top prosecutor on Wednesday, a move that many have labeled as “unprecedented.”

While members of the NLRB general counsel usually serve four-year terms, shortly after his inauguration, Biden pressured attorney Peter Robb to resign from his position before his tenure at the independent agency expired. Robb refused to resign, criticizing the decision in a letter to the Biden administration, saying the pressure seemed partisan coming from an executive branch that continues to peddle a message of unity. . .

Despite Robb’s concerns, Biden fired him following months of pressure from the large Service Employees International Union, which assisted the now-president on the campaign trail. In December, the union sent Biden a letter demanding Robb be removed, but not before coordinating with “allies in the labor movement” to persuade them to join the cause. According to reporting by the Huffington Post, the letter from the union claimed Robb is an “extreme, anti-union ideologue” and a “uniquely destructive figure” that damages the fight for labor relations.

Biden’s New America: Joe Biden Signs Stack of Executive Orders to Roll Back Trump Agenda

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden signed a stack of Executive Orders on Wednesday, immediately rolling back some of former President Donald Trump’s top priorities.

The president signed three executive orders in front of the press as he sat next to a stack of folders which he intended to sign afterward. . .

Biden signed executive orders mandating masks on federal property, ordering support for underserved communities to ensure equity and equality in health care and other areas, and an order reversing the Trump Administration’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord. . .

According to the White House, Biden also signed orders revoking President Trump’s travel ban and revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Biden Executive Order Repeals Trump Travel Ban

By Washington Examiner. President Biden rescinded the Trump administration’s travel ban against citizens from seven countries just hours after being sworn into office.

Biden on Wednesday afternoon repealed the first executive order that former President Donald Trump signed upon arriving at the White House in January 2017. The move was one of 17 reversals aimed at altering policies Trump put into effect.

That ban on travel affected countries in northern Africa and the Middle East: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and Sudan. It was the first of three the Trump administration would set into action on the basis that those countries did not adequately vet travelers headed to the United States. Biden Gender Equality Order Rankles Religious Conservatives

By Washington Examiner. President Biden on Wednesday announced an executive order confirming religious conservatives’ fears that he will undo Trump-era exemptions to gender identity nondiscrimination laws.

The order, released in a blast of 17 directives aimed at undoing former President Donald Trump’s policies, requires all entities under federal control to forgo discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Referencing the landmark Supreme Court decision Bostock v. Clayton County, which interpreted Title VII of the Civil Rights Act to protect gay and transgender people in the workplace, Biden’s team said his executive order would enforce that ruling on the government.

Biden’s announcement came after he voiced support for the Equality Act, a bill that has circulated through Congress for several years, which, if passed, would apply much of the content of his order more broadly. Several states have already passed their own versions of the Equality Act, most recently in Virginia, where the requirements have already drawn a challenge from religious liberty advocates. Biden to Lift Transgender Military Ban

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden will lift the ban prohibiting transgender people from openly serving in the military, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a Wednesday statement according to NBC News.

President Joe Biden drew a hard line Wednesday for incoming appointees, making it clear that he would not tolerate them disrespecting each other.

During a virtual swearing-in ceremony with dozens of appointees and their families, Biden said that he would fire “on the spot” any he observed talking down to their coworkers. . .

“I want to thank your families for the sacrifices,” Biden continued. “But I’m not joking when I say this. If you are ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot. No ifs, ands or buts. Everybody, everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity. That’s been missing in a big way the last four years.”
