Source: Durham Investigation Closing Down Without Indictments, Scared of Biden Blowback

For well over a year now, the Durham investigation has been pumped up as the coming justice for a lot of bad characters involved in the government’s Trump-Russia travesty. Any hope that figures like John Brennan, James Comey, and Andrew McCabe would pay a price for their illegal FISA warrants, lying, and targeting of Donald Trump rested on Durham doing his job. “Trust the plan” became a mantra among some on the right, with the idea being that the hammer was always just around the corner.

Unfortunately, it appears Durham successfully ran out the clock. What many have suspected for a long time appears to be true, namely that no one will be held accountable for the corruption of the Trump-Russia investigation. The Federalist, who has covered this saga better than any other news outlet out there, is now reporting that Durham is looking to close up shop, fearing that an incoming Biden administration will retaliate. . .

Worse, it appears that none of this is happening because Durham didn’t find anything. According to Sean Davis, he has enough to file multiple charges but appears to just be sitting on the evidence instead.

Director of National Intelligence: There ‘Should Be’ More Durham Probe Indictments

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Monday said he believes there “will be” and “should be” more indictments coming from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, based on the “intelligence” he has access to.

“I think there will be more indictments,” Ratcliffe said during an exclusive interview on FOX Business’ “Mornings with Maria.”

“Based on the intelligence I have access to, I certainly believe that there should be,” he said.

Ratcliffe, earlier this month, said that he has already provided 1,000 pages of material to the Justice Department to support Durham’s investigation.

“At my direction, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has now provided almost 1,000 pages of materials to the Department of Justice in response to Mr. Durham’s document requests,” Ratcliffe said in a statement Wednesday. “I will continue to ensure the Intelligence Community’s responsiveness to the DOJ’s requests.” (Read more from “Director of National Intelligence: There ‘Should Be’ More Durham Probe Indictments” HERE)

Trump Furious with U.S. Attorney John Durham for Delay Issuing Indictments

Donald Trump and Republicans are furious that U.S. Attorney John Durham has not brought indictments against senior people who spied on the president’s campaign, lied repeatedly to judges in order to do it, and based their intrusions on specious evidence, which they knew to be false — and had been commissioned by the opposition political party. We know the broad outlines of this coordinated operation, but we still don’t know its full extent, all those involved, and what precise roles they played.

Attorney General William Barr promised major developments in this probe by late spring, then mid-summer, then Labor Day, and now sometime after the election. If, as Republicans say (and the evidence seems to show), there was a systematic effort to weaponize federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies for political purposes, the public has a compelling right to know. This need-to-know is urgent because the Democrats’ presidential nominee, Joe Biden, served as the second-highest ranking member of the administration that conducted these acts. . .

So, how can citizens acquire the information they need between now and Nov. 3? How can they find out what senior officials in the Obama administration did to surveil political opponents and cover it up when they lost the election?

There aren’t many options. The only realistic one is exactly what President Trump is demanding: Executive branch agencies must release all relevant documents with as few redactions as possible. His demand is entirely political, designed to help him win reelection. Still, he has the legal authority to do it. Whether it helps the country depends on what the documents tell us and whether they disclose any secret intelligence techniques. Top Republican Hints Durham Bombshell Is Imminent

. . .Speculation over the status of Durham’s review into the origins of the Russia probe has only intensified amid the resignation of a top aide last week and comments from congressional Republicans suggesting developments could soon be announced.

Nora Dannehy, a top aide to Durham, resigned Friday, after working closely with the U.S. attorney for Connecticut for years. Durham’s office confirmed her departure but did not elaborate on the backstory.

Reports suggested, though, that Dannehy’s departure came amid concerns that the team investigating alleged misconduct at the origins of the Trump-Russia probe was being pressed by top Justice Department officials to produce a report on its findings before their full review was completed, for political purposes.

One source familiar with the investigation pushed back, telling Fox News on Monday that Dannehy “came in for a brief job” and questions surrounding her departure were simply from an “echo chamber trying to make things look bad” for Attorney General Bill Barr. . .

Last week, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., hinted that developments in Durham’s investigation were on the horizon. This was after newly released Justice Department records showed numerous phones belonging to members of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team were wiped of information because of forgotten passcodes, irreparable screen damage, loss of the device, intentional deletion or other reasons—all before the Justice Department inspector general’s office could review the devices. Report: Obama’s CIA Chief Had ‘Secret Task Force’ to Probe Trump; White House: ‘Additional Documents’ Spell ‘Trouble’ for Ex-Officials in Durham Investigation

By WND. Former Barack Obama CIA Director John Brennan set up his own “secret task force” to investigate Donald Trump before the FBI began its Russia-collusion probe, according to investigative reporter Paul Sperry.

The Brennan task force, operating out of CIA headquarters in Langley on a separate budget, was discovered in the investigation of the Obama Russia probe by U.S. Attorney John Durham, Sperry said.

Brennan has been one of Trump’s harshest critics, accusing him of “treason.”

Sperry’s reporting was backed up by reporter Adam Housley, who tweeted that Brennan had been “doing this well before Trump.”

White House: ‘Additional Documents’ Spell ‘Trouble’ for Ex-Officials in Durham Investigation

By Washington Examiner. White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said he has seen “additional” documents that are pertinent to U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation.

Meadows, a former congressional investigator, told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday that he does not have an update on Durham’s work but noted that these records he has viewed reflect poorly on top FBI officials who were involved in the origins of the operation looking into ties between President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

“Additional documents that I’ve been able to review say that a number of the players, the Peter Strzoks, the Andy McCabes, the James Comeys, and even others in the administration previously are in real trouble because of their willingness to participate in an unlawful act and I use the word unlawful at best, it broke all kinds of protocols and at worst people should go to jail as I mentioned previously,” Meadows said.

So far, Durham has charged one person with criminal wrongdoing in his investigation. A former FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith, pleaded guilty last month to a false statements charge for fraudulently altering a CIA email during the process of the bureau seeking a court’s permission to renew an order to wiretap a former Trump campaign adviser. Trump Chief of Staff: ‘I Expect Indictments’ From John Durham Investigation

President Trump’s chief of staff said that he expects criminal indictments to result from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s wide-ranging inquiry into the origins and conduct of the Trump-Russia investigation.

Mark Meadows, who took over as chief of staff in late March after serving as a North Carolina congressman since 2013, told Maria Bartiromo of Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News that, based on what he’d seen, he believes people involved in the investigation into Russian interference and alleged collusion with the Trump campaign will end up with charges being leveled against them by Durham, the federal prosecutor handpicked by Attorney General William Barr to lead the investigation of the investigators.

The Trump chief of staff also predicted that new, damning details would be made public soon, just a couple days after Republic Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham of South Carolina released newly-declassified documents, which cast doubt on the veracity of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s dossier and undercut the Russian collusion narrative pushed by some in the media.

“I think the American people expect indictments — I know I expect indictments based on the evidence I’ve seen. Lindsey Graham did a good job in getting that out. We know that they not only knew that there wasn’t a case, but they continued to investigate and spy, and yes, I use the word ‘spy,’ on Trump campaign officials and actually even doing things when this president was sworn in and after that and doing it in an inappropriate manner,” Meadows said.
