John Kerry: Trump’s Soleimani Story a ‘Cover-Up’; Trump Authorized Soleimani’s Killing 7 Months Ago

By Breitbart. On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” former Obama administration Secretary of State John Kerry said he believed the Trump administration’s stories about the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani were a “coverup.”

Kerry said, “Obviously they’ve been all over the place , in fact, the place. and in fact the decision we now learn to go after Soleimani was made in June. We have heard all kinds of different stories imminence, about embassies, no there aren’t embassies this is a shifting story that is so shifting that I think is beginning to look like a coverup over their original choices.” (Read more from “John Kerry: Trump’s Soleimani Story a ‘Cover-Up’” HERE)

Trump Authorized Soleimani’s Killing 7 Months Ago

By NBC News. President Donald Trump authorized the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani seven months ago if Iran’s increased aggression resulted in the death of an American, according to five current and former senior administration officials.

The presidential directive in June came with the condition that Trump would have final signoff on any specific operation to kill Soleimani, officials said.

That decision explains why assassinating Soleimani was on the menu of options that the military presented to Trump two weeks ago for responding to an attack by Iranian proxies in Iraq, in which a U.S. contractor was killed and four U.S. service members were wounded, the officials said.

The timing, however, could undermine the Trump administration’s stated justification for ordering the U.S. drone strike that killed Soleimani in Baghdad on Jan. 3. Officials have said Soleimani, the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, was planning imminent attacks on Americans and had to be stopped. John Kerry Calls for Trump to RESIGN

John Kerry is spending a lot of time in foreign countries these days actively agitating against the president of the United States.

So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, the former secretary of state called on President Trump to resign from office.

Asked whether he would have any words of advice for the president if he had the opportunity to talk to him directly, Kerry responded:

“I can’t play that. I just — I would — but I know that — you see, because he doesn’t take any of this seriously. He doesn’t have the ability to have that kind of conversation,” Kerry started, before concluding that he would tell the president: “Resign.”

Earlier in the conversation, the Obama administration official claimed that “people will die” because the Trump administration pulled out of the Paris climate accords, a decision that saved the American taxpayer hundreds of billions of dollars.

“People will die because of the president’s decision,” Kerry said at a “The Future of Our Oceans” panel.

This is far from the first time that John Kerry has registered his displeasure with the president. In fact, Kerry has frequently attempted to foil this administration’s American foreign policy. In the past year, Kerry has advised rogue adversarial regimes on how to get the best of the Trump administration

In September, Kerry was spotted in Europe advising representatives from the terrorist regime in Iran on how to thwart U.S. sanctions. President Trump condemned the disgraced former secretary of state, describing his actions as “illegal.”

Last year, the former secretary of state was advising Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on how to thwart President Trump’s Middle East initiatives.

“Hold on and be strong,” Kerry told an adviser to the Palestinian president, insisting that the Palestinians should not “yield to President Trump’s demands.” (For more from the author of “John Kerry Calls for Trump to RESIGN” please click HERE)

John Kerry Attacks President Trump

By Washington Times. Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday said President Trump’s recently lamenting the indictments of two Republican congressmen so close to the midterm elections demonstrates that Mr. Trump doesn’t understand America or how the country’s justice system is supposed to work.

Mr. Kerry said Mr. Trump chastised Attorney General Jeff Sessions for “following the law” after the Justice Department recently announced charges being brought against GOP Reps. Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter, two early supporters of the president, and that the president put the charges in the context of how they could affect the midterm elections.

“You have a president who clearly doesn’t understand America, doesn’t understand the Constitution, doesn’t understand the role of the Justice Department, the separation of powers, and that’s dangerous,” Mr. Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, said on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS.”

Mr. Trump tweeted last week that Democrats must “love” Mr. Sessions now.

“Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department. Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff……” the president tweeted. (Read more from “John Kerry Attacks President Trump” HERE)

Trump Policy on Iran ‘Dangerous and Ill-Advised,’ Kerry Says

By Politico. Former Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday that President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear agreement he helped negotiate was “dangerous and ill-advised.”

Speaking on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” Kerry called the deal the “single strongest, single most accountable, single most transparent nuclear agreement anywhere in the world,” saying Trump had mucked everything up by exaggerating the importance of potential long-term problems.

“I think it’s a very dangerous and ill-advised move that is not based on any broad strategy,” said Kerry, who served under President Barack Obama and has been a target of Trump’s criticism.

Kerry was a key negotiator on the agreement, which was designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and which also included the world’s other leading powers, including Britain, France, Germany, China and Russia. He said that the U.S. withdrawal from the deal had empowered Iran’s hard-liners in their criticism of the United States as untrustworthy. Top Iranian Official, John Kerry Meeting Partner, Caught Chanting ‘Death to America’

By The Daily Caller. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, a key architect of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, was caught on camera chanting “Death to America,” “Death to Britain” and “Death to Israel,” Israeli outlet Ynetnews reported on Saturday.

Zarif participated in the violent chants on Thursday after Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a speech in Tehran, according to Ynetnews.

Zarif’s call for the destruction of America came less than two months after he secretly met with former Secretary of State John Kerry in mid-April to try and save the Iran nuclear deal. (Read more from “Top Iranian Official, John Kerry Meeting Partner, Caught Chanting ‘Death to America'” HERE)

China to Host Iran to Avoid Project Disruption Amid Nuclear Deal Doubt

By Reuters. China will host Iranian President Hassan Rouhani next month at a regional summit aimed at avoiding disruption of joint projects, its foreign ministry said on Monday, as major powers scramble to save Iran’s nuclear deal after the United States pulled out.

Rouhani will pay a working visit to China and attend the summit of the China and Russia-led security bloc the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the ministry said.

It did not give exact dates for his visit, but the summit is scheduled to be held on the second weekend of June in the northern Chinese city of Qingdao.

Iran is currently an observer member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, though it has long sought full membership. (Read more from “China to Host Iran to Avoid Project Disruption Amid Nuclear Deal Doubt” HERE)

Nunes Calls for ‘Arrest’ of John Kerry

After news broke of John Kerry’s spokesperson admitting that the former Secretary of State violated the Logan Act, Congressman Devin Nunes took to Twitter to express his feelings on the unveiling situation:

The Daily Caller reported that Kerry was working with Iran for sometime:

John Kerry is in the hot seat after new reports revealed that former President Obama’s Secretary of State was actively working with his Iranian counterparts to keep the Iran Nuclear Deal in place.

The Boston Globe reported Friday that Kerry has been secretly meeting with politicians and diplomats around the world in an attempt to salvage the future of the Iran nuclear deal and undermine the current administration.

According to The Globe, Kerry met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif multiple times over the last few months. He also met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, French President Emmanuel Macron and multiple members of Congress here in the United States.

. . .

The Logan Act states:

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Kerry’s Two-Faced Middle East Solution

In his recent speech excoriating Israel for refusing to commit suicide by allowing a sworn enemy to have a state adjoining the Jewish state, Secretary of State John Kerry claimed the U.S. government “did not draft or originate” the UN resolution critical of Israeli “settlements.”

Kerry said there were no American fingerprints on the resolution and that it was totally the idea of the Egyptians and Palestinians. Except that it wasn’t, if one can believe Egyptian intelligence.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reports on a story published in an Egyptian newspaper with close ties to Egyptian Intelligence. According to the report, a secret meeting took place in Washington in mid-December attended by John Kerry, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and a rather large Palestinian delegation that included PLO Executive Committee secretary and negotiating team leader Saeb Erekat. If the report is true, the Palestinian delegation also supposedly met with representatives of Homeland Security and the CIA. Political discussions were also said to be part of the agenda.

According to the transcribed minutes obtained by the Egyptian daily, Al-Youm Al-Sabi, the secret gathering “reveals U.S. coordination leading up to the UN Security Council vote on Resolution 2334 regarding Israel’s settlements. … It states that the sides ‘agreed to cooperate in drafting a resolution on the settlements’ and that the U.S. representative in the Security Council was ’empowered’ to coordinate with the Palestinian UN representative on the resolution.”

The Egyptian newspaper further reported that the secret meeting in Washington “was aimed at coordinating Kerry’s attendance at the upcoming international Paris Conference set for Jan. 15, 2017, in order to propose his ideas for a permanent arrangement ‘provided they are supported by the Palestinian side.’”

Susan Rice is said to have warned the Palestinians about the “danger” of the incoming Trump administration’s policies, adding that both she and Kerry had advised Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas not to make any preliminary moves that might “provoke the new administration.”

The report also said Kerry and Rice had “fulsomely praised Abbas’ policies and how he handled matters, and harshly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that he ‘aims to destroy the two-state solution.’”

This is remarkably cynical even in our cynical age. If the Egyptian newspaper report is true — and the Obama administration has so far not denied it — the administration is guilty of a two-faced solution to the conflict, which is no solution at all from the standpoint of Israel and the Jewish people who have been the targets of unprovoked attacks and wars since Israel’s rebirth in 1948.

Not only has Abbas said he would expel all Jews from a Palestinian State, but neither he, nor any other regional player technically still at war with Israel has said they will ever recognize a Jewish state in their midst. Furthermore, since the Palestinian side now includes Hamas and Fatah in a unity coalition — two entities that have vowed not only to never make peace with Israel, but to seek its destruction and the expulsion of all Jews from the land — only a fool would believe that peace is possible under such circumstances.

Peace, like success, is a byproduct, not a goal that can be reached without certain precursors. Success is achieved by hard work, a good education and right relationships. Peace is achieved when one side is victorious or two sides decide they don’t want to fight anymore. Jordan and Egypt gave up on war, leading to peace with Israel. The Palestinian side fights on. They have an ally in the Obama administration, but only for a few more days.

President-elect Trump has promised things will be different when it comes to U.S. policy toward Israel starting Jan. 20. One can only hope. (For more from the author of “Kerry’s Two-Faced Middle East Solution” please click HERE)

Kerry Takes a Parting Shot at Israel in Middle East Speech

Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a detailed speech Wednesday defending the Obama administration’s recent abstention on a U.N. Security Council vote condemning Israeli settlements.

Kerry claimed that the decision to permit the passage of the one-sided resolution was aimed at “preserving the two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which “is now in serious jeopardy.”

The 70-minute long lamentation amounted to a passionate defense of his own failed diplomatic efforts to renew Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Kerry proposed six principles that should guide future negotiations, including secure borders for both Israeli and a Palestinian state, a “fair and realistic” solution to the question of Palestinian refugees, and designating Jerusalem as an “internationally recognized capital of the two states.”

Billed as a “comprehensive vision” of Arab-Israeli peace, Kerry’s speech boiled down to a jeremiad against Israeli settlers, whose “agenda is defining the future in Israel.”

Kerry assumed a high-minded moralistic tone that was detached from reality. He focused obsessively on settlements as impediments to peace while glossing over the harmful role played by Palestinian terrorism, the continuing incitement of the Palestinian Authority, and the failure of Palestinians to abide by their commitments under the Oslo peace accords.

Kerry’s tunnel vision regarding the settlements, and his paying only lip service to Israeli security needs, were major reasons for the failure of his diplomatic efforts to jump-start the long-stalled peace talks.

Kerry failed to mention that when Israel did freeze settlement expansion for 10 months during the Obama administration’s first term, no progress was made on peace negotiations because the Palestinians ruled out any concessions.

Moreover, settlements can be dismantled if necessary to reach a peace agreement.

Israel removed all of its settlers in Gaza and turned over the territory to the Palestinian Authority in 2005. The move backfired when Hamas staged a bloody coup to expel the Palestinian Authority in 2007 and transformed Gaza into a terrorist base for destroying Israel.

As long as Hamas retains a stranglehold on Gaza, there is no realistic chance for a stable Israeli-Palestinian peace. Yet rather than focus on defeating Hamas militants who reject peace negotiations and even Israel’s right to exist, the Obama administration has chosen to chastise Israel at the U.N.

Kerry’s speech comes during a historic low point in U.S.-Israeli bilateral relations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused the U.S. of colluding with the Palestinians by allowing last week’s resolution to be adopted by the U.N. Security Council.

Kerry denied that “somehow the United States was the driving force behind this resolution.”

Israel is concerned that the Security Council resolution is a harbinger of more anti-Israeli actions at the United Nations, which has a long history of siding against Israel.

France plans to host an international conference attended by 70 countries next month to endorse an international framework for Mideast peace. Israeli officials worry that the conference’s recommendations may then be enshrined in another U.N. Security Council resolution before Obama leaves office on Jan. 20.

At a time when Russia and Iran are slaughtering thousands of civilians in Syria and ISIS continues to inflict carnage, it is unseemly that the Obama administration has gone out of its way to censure, isolate, and undermine Israel, a longtime ally.

Kerry’s speech is one more reminder that the Obama administration, even in its waning days, remains much more concerned about engaging adversaries than it is about alienating allies.

Its self-righteous tendency to lecture and berate friends while accommodating adversaries, such as Iran and Cuba, is a major reason that its foreign policy has been such a disaster. (For more from the author of “Kerry Takes a Parting Shot at Israel in Middle East Speech” please click HERE)

$9 Million. That’s How Much John Kerry’s State Department Gave His Daughter’s Nonprofit

Here we go again, folks. It looks like Hillary Clinton was not the only secretary of state in the Obama administration to use the State Department for personal gain or special favors.

According to an exclusive report from the Daily Caller, “more than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter.”

Specifically, a Peace Corps program called the Global Health Service Partnership (GHSP) received the funds from the Department of State. The program, which “sends volunteer physicians and nurses to medical and nursing schools in Malawi, Tanzania” was created by Dr. Vanessa Kerry. The Peace Corps then “awarded the money without competition to a nonprofit Kerry created for the program”:

Initially, the Peace Corps awarded Kerry’s group — now called Seed Global Health — with a three-year contract worth $2 million of State Department money on Sept. 10, 2012, documents show. Her father was then the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which oversees both the Department of State and the Peace Corps.

Seed secured a four-year extension in September 2015, again without competition. This time, the Peace Corps gave the nonprofit $6.4 million provided by the Department of State while John Kerry was secretary of state.

Seed also received almost $1 million from a modification to the first award, as well as from Department of State funds the group secured outside the Peace Corps.

Memos obtained by the Daily Caller indicate that Dr. Kerry worked with government officials to ensure these funds would be “fast tracked and non-completed” to her organization without competition.

Peace corps officials, State Department officials, and a spokesman for Dr. Kerry’s organization all denied any conflicts of interest or other untoward behavior. So John Kerry’s State Department helped secure $9 million for his daughter’s non-profit, and that was just coincidence?

Does anyone really believe that? (For more from the author of “$9 Million. That’s How Much John Kerry’s State Department Gave His Daughter’s Nonprofit” please click HERE)

John Kerry’s Plan to Defeat Jihad: Cover Your Eyes and Ears

When the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight held a hearing led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) titled “Willful Blindness: Consequences of Agency Efforts To Deemphasize Radical Islam in Combating Terrorism,” one wonders if it could have been imagined that only a few short months later the head of the State Department would come out and personify precisely such a policy.

Yet according to the Weekly Standard’s Jeryl Bier, it just occurred.

During a visit to Bangladesh — where three American students were hacked to death among 20 murdered by ISIS this past July — Secretary of State John Kerry said:

No country is immune from terrorism. It’s easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But if you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on. [Emphasis mine]

Got that?

The appropriate response to the global jihad is to ignore reality. The less the public knows about it, the better.

Avoiding or whitewashing hard truths has been America’s policy over the 15 years since September 11, 2001.

In that regard, Sec. Kerry’s candor is refreshing. But it is also terrifying.

We are doomed if we have a federal government comprised of individuals who simply do not understand or are afraid to confront the truth about the nature of the enemy we face.

This is an enemy with a totalitarian Islamic supremacist ideology hell-bent on making the world submit to Allah’s rule. It seeks to turn our freedoms against us not just through maiming, murdering, and thus demoralizing our nation by way of terror, but through the more insidious civilizational jihad.

The global jihadist effort in other words relies on not just military warfare but political and ideological warfare — it is an all-encompassing, never-ending battle on all fronts. And it is uniquely suited to subvert us because of a religious veneer that masks an antithetical political and social program.

Our country’s so-called leaders display little to no understanding of this threat by way of their rhetoric and policies.

The countering violent extremism paradigm itself — which by way of its title alone indicates a belief that there is no animating ideology behind Islamic terrorism — dictates that we outsource our national security to the very civilizational “peaceful” jihadist groups who pose perhaps the most insidious threat.

As Chris Allen Gaubatz, a panelist during the aforementioned Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing and national security expert who himself infiltrated the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) noted in his written testimony:

The current administration and the US national security apparatus continues to use leaders of Muslim Brotherhood groups like ISNA, the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), CAIR, and others to provide direct input into American foreign policy and domestic counter-terrorism strategies. One of the results of this dangerous situation is to order the removal of terms like, “jihad”, and, “sharia”, from our counter terrorism lexicon.

As further testimony from that hearing shows, the foxes are literally guarding the hen house in America.

That is the direct result of being blind to the threat, or seeking to conceal it out of suicidal political correctness or profound ignorance.

The cost of our inability to handle the truth, and react accordingly, is civilization itself.

From the Iran Deal to his urgings to tamp down coverage of the global jihad, Sec. John Kerry is playing the part of useful idiot well for those who wish to see our civilization perish. (For more from the author of “John Kerry’s Plan to Defeat Jihad: Cover Your Eyes and Ears” please click HERE)

John Kerry Is Wrong Again: Not Talking About Terrorism Won’t Make It Go Away

In the latest episode of “ridiculous things U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says about terrorism,” the former senator and presidential candidate thinks that the media needs to stop reporting so much on terrorism — because that will help stop it.

“Remember this: No country is immune from terrorism,” Kerry said in Bangladesh on Tuesday. “It’s easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”

“But if you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself,” he continued, “you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on.”

There are two major problems with this.

Firstly, not talking about something doesn’t make it less terrible. Jihadist terror has become such a widespread global problem that if one wants to spend the time aggregating and reporting news of terror attacks all over the world it is more than a full-time job. And no matter how much reporters, bloggers, and columnists try, they cannot adequately report on the sheer scale of the problem. Even if they were able to, the average reader would quickly go from enflamed to inured — as many already have regarding ISIS atrocities — at the constant influx of horror and destruction.

Yes, if the media reported less on the effects of the global jihadist threat, people might not be as concerned or enraged by their government’s utterly feckless approach to dealing with it, but to do so would be a gross disservice to the truth.

Secondly, Obama’s State Department clearly has a problem understanding what actually motivates terrorism, as evidenced by previous statements by Kerry and others on the subject. Jihadists aren’t motivated by headlines; they are, and have always been, motivated by jihad.

While Kerry’s proposed approach is nonsensical, it’s just the latest in a long line of statements by Obama administration officials desperate to associate terror attacks with anything but radical Islam. Just a few weeks ago, Kerry claimed that chemicals used in refrigerators and air conditioners were just as big a threat as ISIS.

“As we were working together on the challenge of [the Islamic State], and terrorism,” Kerry said last month at an international meeting in Vienna to amend the 1987 Montreal Protocol, which deals with said substances. “It’s hard for some people to grasp it, but what we — you — are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.”

The president has also taken this line. As CR’s Tom Borelli points out, President Obama has repeatedly equated jihadist terror with climate change or other factors that have nothing to do with jihad.

And who can forgive the dynamite “jobs for jihadis” interview that State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf gave last year on MSNBC when she claimed that the best way to combat the centuries-long issue of jihadism in the Middle East is to “help countries work at the root causes of [terrorism]” and ask “what makes these 17-year-old kids pick up an AK-47 instead of trying to start a business?”

Well, Ms. Harf, seeing as poverty is a problem in almost every society — including the ones that AREN’T breeding grounds for terror organizations — it might just be a pervasive ideology that has been in the region for centuries.

The kind of “terrorism” that is most often experienced (with very few notable exceptions) throughout the world is motivated by jihadist ideologies carried out by international organizations, or militants affiliated/inspired therewith, holding a clearly-defined worldview with a centuries-long history.

As laid out in greater detail by Sebastian Gorka in his book, “Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War,” modern global jihadism (what some Republican politicians like to insufficiently label as “radical Islamic terrorism”) is the product of over 1,000 years of theological and strategic thought.

“Just as one must study Clausewitz, Machiavelli, and Napoleon to understand the modern Western way of war,” explains Dr. Gorka, “so one must be intimately acquainted with certain key jihadi writers and thinkers if one wishes to defeat our current enemy.”

The terrorists to which John Kerry is referring — the guys who just want to “make some noise” — see themselves in the same line as the mujahideen who took on the Soviets and the foot soldiers of the original Ottoman caliphate. While groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda may vary greatly in their strategic approaches, the overarching goal remains the same: the establishment of a global caliphate run by a medieval interpretation of sharia law.

These guys are not teenage delinquents calling in bomb threats to high schools, they are militants appealing to an ancient, barbaric tradition of oppression and terror. Nor are they just guys looking to get a hand up; they see themselves being on a divine mission to subvert our way of life. The sooner the Obama administration realizes this, the better.
