John McCain Just Revealed BEST Person to Take on ISIS–It’s Not Who You’d Expect

When a reporter from TMZ caught up with Sen. Jon McCain in the Los Angeles airport, McCain added an element to his existing list of policy steps to fight ISIS: the man who should be in charge of that effort.

“John McCain,” the senator replied when asked who should lead the fight to take out ISIS.

“John McCain running for president!” the reporter then exclaimed.

“I’m staying out of that part of it,” McCain replied with a smile.

McCain referenced a number of statements and on-the-record pieces he’s authored on how to defeat ISIS. One was issued Wednesday on the site Globalo.

“ISIL has now created a terrorist safe haven in Iraq and Syria that has attracted thousands of foreign fighters, including hundreds from Western Europe and the United States. This poses a direct risk to U.S. national security and threatens to erase the gains in Iraq that nearly 4,500 brave young Americans have given their lives to achieve,” McCain wrote. McCain Faces Toughest Reelection of His Career

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is facing what may be the toughest reelection of his Senate career in an unpredictable presidential year, when many voters are angry with Washington.

Early polls show McCain tied with his Democratic challenger, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.), at around 40 percent despite having nearly 100-percent name recognition in the state he has represented in either the Senate or House since 1983.

“The basic problem for John McCain is the same kind of thing that faces a lot of incumbents right now. He’s been there a long time. People are leery of Washington. They don’t like Washington,” said former Republican Rep. Jim Kolbe, who served 18 years alongside McCain in Arizona’s congressional delegation . . .

McCain’s path to victory is complicated by the likelihood the GOP ticket will be headed by Donald Trump, who has an overwhelmingly negative rating among Hispanic voters, a powerful and growing electoral bloc in Arizona.

Trump has scheduled three events in Arizona Saturday with an eye on the winner-take-all presidential primary Tuesday. He will campaign with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose get-tough approach to illegal immigration has made him a national lightning rod. John McCain Shamefully Says He Would Vote for Planned Parenthood Funding

The Republican Party in the largest county in Arizona will not endorse John McCain, in part because he said he would be willing to vote to fund Planned Parenthood.

The Maricopa County Republican Party endorsed “anybody but McCain” on Saturday by a vote of 921-to-582.

County Chairman Tyler Bowler said “many activists” expressed their view that “Senator McCain’s recent vote to increase the national debt to more than $20 trillion, while fully funding Planned Parenthood, was a clear message that he is more inclined to choose President Obama and Harry Reid over the will of the Arizona voters in order to retain his D.C. Establishment power.” McCain has voted to raise the debt ceiling about half of the times the option has come before the Senate . . .

McCain’s mixed, moderate record is increasingly out-of-step in the socially conservative Arizona GOP.

After the Center for Medical Progress released undercover footage showing national figures in the abortion industry haggling over the prices of aborted babies’ body parts, Sen. McCain became an original co-sponsor of a bill to defund Planned Parenthood. “The appalling footage that has been released over the last several weeks has made it abundantly clear that taxpayers should not be forced to pay for such disturbing activities,” he said last July. “It is long past time we stop sending American tax dollars to this scandal-plagued group and start doing more to protect the health and well-being of women, mothers, and their families.” (Read more from “John McCain Shamefully Says He Would Vote for Planned Parenthood Funding” HERE)

Watch: John McCain Chased off Navajo Reservation in Arizona

McCain1Activists associated with the Navajo Native American tribe in Arizona forced Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Republican Gov. Doug Ducey off their lands after the politicians were on the land to celebrate Navajo Code Talkers Day on Aug. 15.

Upset with the recent Gold King Mine spill that affected the Animas and San Juan Rivers in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado, members of the Navajo community questioned the leaders on the federal government’s lack of response and speed to clean up the millions of toxic chemical still residing in the waters.

“I keep saying when are we going to hear from the White House? Not a word,” President Begaye of the Navajo Nation said, according to Native News. “When somebody wins the Super Bowl or an NBA championship, they get a call, right? And when something like this happens and people are suffering, nothing.”

The spill was caused by employees of the Environmental Protection Agency, a department of the federal government that oversees greenhouse gases and climate change statistics, among other responsibilities. They were reportedly inspecting the abandoned Gold King Mine when the spill was triggered.

The sludge is believed to contain mercury, arsenic and lead, rendering the water useless for bathing, drinking or any other necessity, Raw Story reported. (Read more from “John McCain Chased off Navajo Reservation in Arizona” HERE)

Ben Carson Comes Out With an Announcement About Trump-McCain Feud

Earlier this month, Ben Carson stood out within the GOP presidential primary field by speaking positively about Donald Trump in the wake of his controversial statements about illegal immigrants. With Trump currently embroiled in another scandal involving his perceived insult regarding Arizona Sen. John McCain’s military record, Carson has once again come to his rival’s defense.

According to a recent Washington Post report, Carson downplayed the controversy, suggesting that it “seems petty” to focus so much attention on a single comment. Speaking to reporters in Virginia this week, the retired neurosurgeon added that Trump’s statement has been misinterpreted.

“I’m not sure from listening to what he said that he thinks that Mr. McCain is not a hero,” Carson explained. “He has repeatedly said yes, he is a hero, so I don’t know where that comes from that he’s disqualified.”

Carson’s personal stance on whether McCain should be considered a war hero has evolved somewhat over the past several days, however. In the immediate aftermath of Trump’s controversy, Carson said the distinction “depends on your definition of a war hero.” (Read more from “Ben Carson Comes out With an Announcement About Trump-McCain Feud” HERE)

Trump Slams McCain; Wants More Christians to Immigrate to US

By Leo Hohmann. Donald Trump, married three times, the ruthless business titan in reality TV shows, might not appear to be the knight in shining armor that attracts Christian voters in the crowded 2016 Republican primary. . .

But is there something in those steely blue eyes and mop of blond hair, with all his worldly success at making money, that could make him the warrior of the right?

Trump started rising in the polls after making the comment that Mexico is “not sending their best” to America and that among those coming in illegally are a high percentage of rapists, murderers and other violent felons.

But that’s not all Trump is saying. He’s also speaking up for Syria’s persecuted Christians.

Though you won’t read about it in the establishment media, Trump has been making repeated comments about persecuted Christians in Syria and the difficulty they’ve had in coming to the West as refugees or asylum seekers.

At a speech in Las Vegas last weekend, Trump said those persecuted for their Christian faith by Muslims in Syria ought to be brought to America. And, if he were president, he’d make sure they get a one-way ticket to that safe haven. (Read more from “Trump Slams McCain, Wants More Christians to Immigrate to US” HERE)

Trump Calls McCain ‘Dummy’ as Feud Intensifies

By Dan Nowicki. The bad blood between Sen. John McCain and Donald Trump is getting worse, with the celebrity real-estate titan attacking the veteran Arizona Republican on Twitter Thursday as a “dummy.”

The feud began after McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, distanced himself from Trump’s much-criticized comments that illegal immigrants from Mexico bring crime and drugs to the United States and are “rapists.”

It escalated Saturday when Trump, the controversial 2016 GOP presidential candidate, mocked McCain as an “incompetent” politician at a campaign rally at the Phoenix Convention Center. The pro-Trump crowd booed the mention of McCain’s name. After the event, Trump denounced McCain as potentially vulnerable in his 2016 Senate re-election race . . .

State Sen. Kelli Ward, R-Lake Havasu City, on Tuesday launched a primary challenge against McCain.

“This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me,” McCain, a longtime immigration-reform champion, said referring to Trump. “Because what he did was he fired up the crazies.” (Read more from this story HERE)

As Obama Golfed, ISIS Slaughtered Egyptian Christians Held in Libya

CBS News reported that this past weekend, Obama was again playing golf, this time “at Porcupine Creek in Rancho Mirage. The owner is Oracle software company co-founder [billionaire] Larry Ellison.” In other words, Obama was screwing around on the golf course again while ISIS was creating mayhem across the Middle East.

As BBC reported:

A video has emerged showing the beheadings purportedly of 21 Egyptian Christians who had been kidnapped by Islamic State (IS) militants in Libya.

The footage shows a group wearing orange overalls, being forced to the ground and then decapitated. . .

The kidnapped Egyptian workers, all Coptic Christians, were seized in December and January from the coastal town of Sirte in eastern Libya, now under the control of Islamist groups.

The video of the beheadings was posted online by Libyan jihadists who pledge loyalty to IS. A caption made it clear the men were targeted because of their faith. . .

The beheadings were described as “barbaric” by al-Azhar, the highly regarded theological institution which is based in Egypt.

McCain on ISIS Fight: We Should Not Restrain the President

By Daniel Cooney. Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain, R-Ariz., said Sunday that Congress should not restrict the president’s broad authority in authorizing the use of military force against the terrorist group known as ISIS.

“If we don’t like what the commander-in-chief is doing, we can cut off his funds for doing so. But to restrain him in our authorization of him taking military action, I think frankly, is unconstitutional,” McCain said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” He added that restraining the president’s authority to take military action “eventually leads to 535 commanders-in-chief,” referring to the total number of members of Congress.

McCain’s comments came after the president sent a draft of a new authorization of military force — or AUMF — to take action against ISIS. The draft stipulates a three-year authorization with no geographic limits and limited use of ground troops. The authorization would repeal the 2002 AUMF, which former Pres. George W. Bush used for the war in Iraq.

McCain, making his first appearance on “Meet the Press” since September 2013, said the president probably did not need the authority, but Congress should debate the issue. (Read more from this story HERE)

Congress Poised to Expand Obama’s Authority to Fight ISIS

Photo Credit: International Business Times By Sean Lengell. New Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain said he expects Congress will “get the ball rolling” on legislation this month to give the White House expanded authority to conduct military operations against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria militants.

“It’s got to be sooner rather than later,” the Arizona Republican told reporters Tuesday.

In December, the then-Democratic controlled Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved along partisan lines a measure to give President Obama more leeway in using the military to fight foreign terrorists. The bill, which barred the use of ground forces, died after it failed to receive a vote in the full Senate.

But with Republicans now controlling both houses of Congress, McCain said the matter is a vital national security priority. The measure will be primarily handled by the foreign relations committee with input from the armed services panel, he said.

McCain said he is “begging” the Obama administration to produce a draft of the bill, known as an Authorization for the Use of Military Force, or AUMF, but that the Senate is ready to act regardless. (Read more about the possible expansion to fight ISIS HERE)

Chief Executioner for ISIS Found Beheaded

By Gianluca Mezzofiore. In a grotesque twist of the saying “live by the sword, die by the sword”, an Islamic State executioner in Syria who carried out beheadings for the jihadist group has been found with his head cut off.

The body of the Egyptian man, known to be the deputy emir of the feared al-Hesbah (or Hisbah) force in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, was recovered near a power plant in al-Mayadeen city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The corpse showed signs of torture and carried the message “This is evil, you Sheikh” written on it. The severed head also had a cigarette in its mouth. It is unclear who carried out the decapitation but the message was obvious. (Read more from this story HERE)

Alleged ISIS Photo Controversy Engulfs Sen. John McCain

Photo Credit: BreitbartSen. John McCain (R-AZ) and his aides swear the Syrian “rebels” he was pictured last year with weren’t ISIS members or supporters, and the mainstream media is by and large buying the 2008 GOP presidential nominee’s story.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has endured brutal criticism—media fact checkers, reporters, and political figures have shredded him—for questioning just who McCain posed with.

But a closer look at the situation tells perhaps a different story than McCain’s office or the mainstream media have pushed.

The criticism of McCain centers around how the Arizona senator met with Syrian rebel leaders in May 2013 when he visited the country. McCain posed for photographs with those people, and since then rumors have sprouted up across the Internet that he met with ISIS or some other terrorist kidnappers or nefarious forces.

“The people in the pictures with Senator McCain in Syria included General Salim Idris, then-Chief of Staff of the Supreme Military Command of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Mouaz Moustafa, the Executive Director of the DC-based Syrian Emergency Task Force (which supports the moderate opposition and helped arrange some of the trip), and fighters and commanders from the Northern Storm Brigade, a FSA-aligned group,” McCain’s spokesman Brian Rogers told Breitbart News.

Amnesty-King John McCain Sounds Converted, Says ISIS is Trying to Cross Porous Southern Border

After urging national Republicans not to make illegal immigration an issue in the midterms, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) on Wednesday warned that ISIS is trying to exploit the porous U.S.-Mexico border to carry out terrorists attacks on American soil.

Appearing on Fox News with Sean Hannity after Obama’s foreign policy address to the nation on ISIS, McCain, the Gang of Eight member who has been one of the most prominent advocates of comprehensive amnesty legislation, said that ISIS terrorists are encouraging members to sneak into America through the southern border.

“On Twitter and Facebook, they are urging people to come across our border and attack the United States of America,” McCain said on Fox News of ISIS.

On CNN, McCain said America’s “porous” border with Mexico makes the country more vulnerable to a terrorist attack from ISIS. Former Homeland Security officials have previously conceded that ISIS terrorists may have already illegally entered the country through the porous U.S.-Mexico border.

BUCHANAN: EXECUTIVE AMNESTY WILL CAUSE ‘HELLISH FIRESTORM’

Breitbart TV.

Columnist and author Pat Buchanan predicted that President Barack Obama would “have a hellish firestorm on his hands” if he moved forward with plans to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants through an executive order on this weekend’s “The McLaughlin Group.”

“I’ll tell you, he’s going to have a hellish firestorm on his hands if, he in December, which my guess would be he would likely to do, he grants an executive amnesty…
