‘We Support President Trump’: Smollett Hoax Brothers Defend Trump (VIDEO)

The brothers involved in the Jussie Smollett hoax said Thursday on Newsmax that they support former President Donald Trump and warned black voters consume too much “propaganda.”

Smollett alleged he was attacked in 2019 by two men that shouted anti-gay and racist remarks before putting a noose around his neck and pouring bleach on him in Chicago. Police investigated the incident as a hate crime until it fell apart and turned out to be a hoax.

Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo joined the show to discuss the hoax and the fallout.

“Now, final question, you’re wearing a MAGA hat, how do you feel about MAGA country, MAGA people and maybe Trump or not?” host Eric Bolling asked.

“Well, we’re Americans first, you know and my brother and I … we support all of our presidents. We support President Trump and we think that what’s happening with him right now, is a [tragedy], we don’t think it should be going the way it is,” Olabinjo said. WATCH: Resurfaced Video Shows Dr. Oz Praising Jussie Smollett After Hoax Attack

Resurfaced video of TV host-turned U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz saying how much he “adores” and “loves” his friend, hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett is now going viral online after former President Donald Trump endorsed Oz in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race.

“Jussie Smollett, who has been on the show, who we all adore, was recently injured. It’s been called a hate crime,” Dr. Oz said on his show.

Elsewhere, Dr. Oz referred to Smollett as “a good friend,” adding, “Jussie, if you’re watching this, the entire audience, all of us, are saying we love you very much, we wish you the best.”

Jussie Smollett also appeared on Dr. Oz’s show in December 2018 — Dr. Oz later revisited that interview after the actor’s staged attack against himself, to see if there were any “clues” to what may have happened the night he said Smollett was attacked. The actor repeatedly shouted, “I am innocent, and I am not suicidal,” as he was hauled off to jail.

Race Hoaxer Jussie Smollett Convicted on Five of Six Counts After Staging Fake Chicago Attack in 2019 (VIDEO)

Former “Empire” star Jussie Smollett was convicted by a jury on five counts of disorderly conduct on Thursday over staging a hate crime against himself in 2019.

Smollett, 39, was indicted on six counts in 2019 after authorities investigating the celebrity’s claims of a brutally racist and homophobic attack found that the assault had been orchestrated by himself. According to Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, Smollett hired a pair of Nigerian brothers to stage a conditional attack that would later be treated as a virulent “hate crime,” earning the actor sympathy from politicians and media personalities.

“I come really, really hard against 45,” Smollett said in reference to then-President Donald Trump when explaining to ABC’s Robin Roberts why he felt he was attacked by two white men who screamed racial and homophobic slurs before they tied a noose around his neck and showered his skin with bleach, according to Smollett’s telling.

Jussie Smollett Indicted on New Charges

Actor Jussie Smollett has been indicted on six new charges of disorderly conduct, accusing him of filing false police reports claiming he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack last year.

A special Cook County grand jury handed down the new indictment on Tuesday, following a six-month investigation by special prosecutor Dan Webb.

In a statement, Webb’s office said Smollett filed four separate false police reports claiming he was the victim of a hate crime.

“The grand jury’s investigation revealed that Jussie Smollett planned and participated in a staged hate crime attack, and thereafter made numerous false statements to Chicago Police Department officers on multiple occasions, reporting a heinous hate crime that he, in fact, knew had not occurred,” Webb said in a statement. . .

Last August, Cook County Judge Michael Toomin appointed Webb, a former federal prosecutor, as a special prosecutor in the Smollett case; tasking him to not only investigate Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s handling of the case, but to decide if Smollett should be further prosecuted for allegedly staging a fake hate crime against himself. Jussie Smollett’s Latest Legal Strategy: Blame Cops for Investigating

The classic definition of the word “chutzpah” is: “that quality enshrined in a man who, having killed his mother and father, throws himself on the mercy of the court because he is an orphan.” It means looking the judge right in the eye and declaring yourself the innocent victim of your own crime. He knows you’re guilty. You know you’re guilty. Everybody knows you’re guilty. But hey, it’s worth a try, right? What have you got to lose?

Well, now there’s a new definition of “chutzpah.” It’s a lot easier to remember because it’s just two words: Jussie Smollett.

Michael Sneed, Chicago Sun-Times:

. . .But the latest court filing contends even if Smollett did make a false report, there is no way the city can assert he would have known the city would investigate — and investigate it to the extent cops did.

“We contend the city is wrong,” Quinlan said of the city’s assertion that Smollett should have known the city would spend nearly 2,000 hours investigating. “ … The mere fact somebody filed a police report doesn’t presume the investigation will be done and certainly not to the extent of what the city is claiming.”

We Now Know What Was Said During the Jussie Smollett Hoax 911 Call

The New York Post on Wednesday evening released a 911 call from Jussie Smollett’s alleged attack. Smollett’s creative manager, Frank Gatson, made the call for help, which the Post obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The audio is from the first of two calls Gatson made to police.

“I work with an artist — I don’t really want to say his name — but he states that [redaction] he went to Subway he was walking by and some guys somebody jumped him or something like that, and I just want to report it and make sure that he’s alright,” Gatson told the 911 operator.

The operator asked why Smollett didn’t make the call himself. Gatson said Smollett wasn’t going to call the police but Gatson wanted him to. The operator told Gatson that Smollett had to file the police report himself. . .

The alleged crime turned out to be a hoax. Smollett told Chicago police he had been attacked by two of President Donald Trump’s supporters who were racists and homophobes. It was discovered that the two “attackers” were brothers from Nigeria who Smollett had paid to attack him. One of the brothers had actually appeared in as an extra in “Empire,” the show Smollett is most known for.

Prosecutors ended up dropping all charges against Smollett. The city of Chicago is suing the actor for $130,000 related to the overtime costs associated with investigating his case.

Brothers Who Helped With Smollett Hoax Are Now Suing His Lawyers

The two Nigerian-American brothers who helped “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett carry out his alleged “hate hoax” attack have sued Smollett’s Hollywood-based attorneys in federal court alleging defamation.

CWB Chicago reports that “[t]he complaint filed this morning in Chicago’s federal courthouse seeks more than $75,000 each for Olabinjo ‘Ola’ Osundairo and Abimbola ‘Bola’ Osundairo from attorneys Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian as well as the Geragos & Geragos Law Firm.”

The lawsuit not only accuses Smollett’s attorneys of making defamatory claims that they believe went above and beyond merely advocating for their client in the public square, but outlines, in a signed and sworn document, how they helped Smollett carry out the alleged “hate hoax,” which, they say, was entirely orchestrated by Smollett himself.

The two brothers allege that Smollett paid them “a sum of money to stage the attack to benefit himself” and then “directed every aspect of the attack, including the location and the noose.”

The pair of brothers, who work as amateur personal trainers and nutritionists in Chicago, and took bit parts in local television shows, including “Empire,” where they first connected with Smollett, contend they were cowed into the deal: “Mr. Smollett used his clout as a wealthy actor to influence Plaintiffs, who were in a subordinate relationship to him and were aspiring to ‘make it’ in Hollywood.” (Read more from “Brothers Who Helped With Smollett Hoax Are Now Suing His Lawyers” HERE)

Prosecutor Who Let off Smollett Scrutinizes the Actor in Uncovered Texts

By Fox News. Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx described “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett as a “washed up celeb who lied to cops” in texts messages released Tuesday by her office in response to a public-records request by the Chicago Tribune.

Foxx compared Smollett’s case to her office’s pending indictments against R&B singer R. Kelly in text messages to Joseph Magats, her top assistant, on March 8, the paper reported

“Pedophile with 4 victims 10 counts. Washed up celeb who lied to cops, 16 (counts),” she wrote. “… Just because we can charge something doesn’t mean we should.” (Read more from “Prosecutor Who Let off Smollett Scrutinizes the Actor in Uncovered Texts” HERE)

Thousands of Texts, Emails About Jussie Smollett Probe Made Public by State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s Office

By Chicago Tribune. Just after news broke that “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett had been indicted on 16 felony counts, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx told her top deputy that Smollett was a “washed up celeb who lied to cops” and the number of felony counts he faced was excessive, communications obtained by the Chicago Tribune show. . .

Smollett, who is African-American and openly gay, had been indicted on 16 counts of disorderly conduct on charges he staged a hate crime attack on himself. Foxx’s office created a firestorm of protest after abruptly dropping all the charges less than three weeks later at a court hearing that reporters only learned about at the last minute.

Late Tuesday, Foxx’s office made public thousands of internal texts and emails on the Smollett case in response to public-records requests by the Tribune.

The office, though, denied outright requests for its internal files, saying it did so because the judge presiding over the case had agreed to seal the public court file moments after prosecutors dropped all the charges. The Chicago Police Department has also denied public-records requests for its internal documents on the same grounds. Kim Foxx, Who Dropped Jussie Smollett’s Charges, Also Gave a Break to a Man Convicted of Murder

After the sudden and surprising decision not to pursue any charges against Jussie Smollett for allegedly fabricating a hate crime, a deeper look at Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s record by WLS-TV revealed another example of controversial leniency. . .

Four teenagers were charged with the murder. Three of them were convicted and are still in prison. One of them, however, was only 14. His circumstance was a bit different.

Foxx, who at the time was the assistant state’s attorney, opted to charge him as a juvenile in an Extended Juvenile Jurisdiction prosecution. . .

Well, in 2015 Johnson was convicted of aggravated fleeing after being involved in a police chase. Although that should’ve triggered Johnson’s 30-year sentence, newly-elected State’s Attorney Foxx told Derrion Albert’s family that their son’s killer was only getting probation.

How did the family react? “I felt like [Foxx] sat in our face, she cried with us, she hugged us and then you turn around and let this murderer, I don’t care how old he is, he was convicted of first degree murder,” said Albert’s mother, Anjanette. “My son is not here anymore and she gave us all this hope and she promised us that this was going to be OK. And it didn’t turn out like that.” (Read more from “Kim Foxx, Who Dropped Jussie Smollett’s Charges, Also Gave a Break to a Man Convicted of Murder” HERE)
