Former President Donald Trump said he “probably took a bullet to the head” in response to overheated rhetoric from Vice President Kamala and Democrats, referring to his near-assassination at a Pennsylvania campaign rally on July 13.
“I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me,” the 45th president shot back when Harris charged that he would “weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies.”
“They talk about democracy — I’m a threat to democracy,” he added.
“They’re the threat to democracy, with their Russia, Russia, Russia investigation that went nowhere.”
Trump, 78, and Harris, 59, sparred at their first debate on ABC Tuesday night in Philadelphia, just 55 days ahead of the November election. (Read more from “Trump Says He ‘Took a Bullet to the Head’ Thanks to Dems” HERE)

By Breitbart. Claim: Kamala Harris on Tuesday night accused Donald Trump of proposing a national sales tax.
Harris referred to a “Trump sales tax” and claimed it would add 20 percent to the cost of goods.
Verdict: False.
President Trump has not proposed a national sales tax. (Read more from “Fact Check: Kamala Harris Falsely Claims Trump Would Impose a National Sales Tax” HERE)
Fact Check: Kamala Harris Claims She Was Raised in the Middle Class
By Breitbart. CLAIM: Vice President Kamala Harris claimed during Tuesday night’s presidential debate that she had a middle-class upbringing.
VERDICT: Mostly false. Harris had a rich Canadian upbringing, growing up in Westmount — a majority English neighborhood in the French province of Quebec.
When asked if Americans are better off today than they were four years ago, Harris completely dodged the question, instead beginning with this line: “So, I was raised as a middle-class kid, and I am actually the only person on this stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the middle class and working people of America.”
Continuing to dodge the actual question, she said:
I believe in the ambition, the aspirations, the dreams of the American people, and that is why I imagine and have, actually, a plan to build what I call an opportunity economy. Because, here’s the thing, we know that we have a shortage of homes and housing, and the cost of housing is too expensive for far too many people. We know that young families need support to raise their children.

Donald Trump, Kamala Harris Face off for First Time
By Breitbart. . .Coming back from the first commercial break, Muir turns to Trump and asks him how he would end the war in Ukraine and whether he wants Ukraine to win the war. Trump said he wants to end the war, and he noted how the U.S. has put hundreds of billions of tax dollars into the war and he called out Harris for failing to get Europe to pay its fair share. He noted how Putin and Zelensky do not respect Biden, and he warns that this could “lead to World War 3” and that President Biden is missing in action and he was thrown aside “like a dog.”
Trump says Kamala “hates Israel,” something Harris denies. Trump also says he would end the war in Ukraine before he even takes office. Then Harris claims Trump said Putin “can do whatever the hell he wants and go into Ukraine,” even though Putin did so when Harris was leading the country as Vice President.
The discussion has moved backward to the 2020 election, and now Harris is claiming that Trump was “fired by 81 million Americans”–the vote total for Biden in 2020–four years ago. Harris then claims world leaders are “laughing at” Trump, but then Trump cites several world leaders back at Harris including particularly Viktor Orban of Hungary.
Trump then bashes Harris for getting zero votes but taking the nomination away from Biden, who got 14 million votes. “I’ll let you in on a little secret,” Trump says. “He [Biden] hates her [Harris].”
There is another emerging theme here where the moderators keep “fact-checking” Trump–sometimes accurately, sometimes not–live during the debate, but allowing Harris to openly and repeatedly lie nonstop from the stage. Harris continues making ugly frowning faces.

In the realm of news reporting, media bias has long been a point of contention, but recent findings from the Media Research Center’s (MRC) NewsBusters shed new light on how ABC’s “World News Tonight” exemplifies this issue. The analysis reveals a stark contrast in how the program handles Vice President Kamala Harris compared to former President Donald Trump.
According to the MRC report, an analysis of 100 campaign stories from July 21 to September 6 demonstrates a troubling trend: a 100 percent positive spin on reporting about Harris, juxtaposed with a staggering 93 percent negative spin on Trump. This discrepancy is not just a minor quirk but a clear indication of systemic bias in how political figures are portrayed on the network.
For Harris, “World News Tonight” showcased 25 positive statements with no counterbalancing criticism. This contrasts sharply with Trump’s coverage, which featured just five positive remarks amid 66 negative ones. This 93 percent negative portrayal aligns with a broader trend of disparaging coverage of Trump, while Harris is consistently highlighted in a favorable light.
The MRC’s report further underscores this imbalance by citing specific examples. During an interview in January 2017, David Muir seemed fixated on disparaging Trump’s focus on crowd size and media coverage of his inauguration speech, despite Trump’s insistence on the positive feedback he received. Muir’s persistent questioning about crowd size, even as Trump sought to discuss the substance of his address, suggests a deliberate attempt to undermine Trump’s credibility.
In contrast, during an August 2020 interview with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Muir appeared to give Biden a platform to criticize the Trump administration’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic without pressing him on specifics.
This trend is not unique to ABC News. The coverage from CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News shows similar patterns of highly positive coverage for Harris and markedly negative coverage for Trump. CBS’s reporting on Harris was found to be 94 percent positive, while NBC’s was 71 percent positive. Conversely, Trump’s coverage was negative 77 percent of the time on CBS and 86 percent on NBC.
As “World News Tonight” prepares for the upcoming presidential debate between Harris and Trump, viewers should be aware of this bias. The consistent pattern of positive reporting for Harris and negative coverage for Trump suggests a broader issue within mainstream media—a tendency to shape narratives in favor of one political side.

Kash Patel, former Department of Defense Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of National Intelligence under President Trump, believes that Kamala Harris may be installed as President before the 2024 election.
Speaking on the popular X22 Report podcast, Patel shared his belief that President Biden might step down and hand the reins of the presidency to his vice president in a carefully orchestrated political move designed to shield his embattled family.
Patel, who was promoting his new book Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy, didn’t mince words.
“It’s really on him to, I guess in this instance, work with Biden as the Commander-in-Chief, who could also, by the way, slip the Commander-in-Chief hat over to Kamala in the lead up to the election here to make her President and give her a boost politically somehow, and he could just retire from the seat,” Patel said.
Patel speculated that a deal could already be in the works, whereby Biden steps down to ensure that Harris assumes power before the election. (Read more from “‘It’s in the Works’: Kamala Harris Will Be Installed as President Before Election” HERE)

U.S. discount retail chain Big Lots filed for bankruptcy Monday as Biden-Harris era inflation continues to weaken consumer spending and push retailers out of business.
The company filed for Chapter 11 protection after posting consecutive quarterly losses since 2022 and being forced to close numerous stores, operating roughly 1,300 stores in the U.S. as of May compared with 1,425 in early 2023, according to The Wall Street Journal. Big Lots also announced it had secured over $700 million in funding to guide the company through the bankruptcy process and ensuing sales process, with an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management expected to acquire the company.
“The actions we are taking today will enable us to move forward with new owners who believe in our business and provide financial stability,” Chief Executive Bruce Thorn said in a Monday press release.
The Chapter 11 filing follows a wave of bankruptcies in the retail industry, with 21 retailers filing for bankruptcy through July 16 — a record for the same period of any year since the pandemic began in 2020, the WSJ reported. The retail sector lost 11,100 jobs in August, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. . .
“Like many other retail businesses, the Company [Big Lots] has been adversely affected by recent macroeconomic factors such as high inflation and interest rates that are beyond its control,” the company wrote in its press release. “The prevailing economic trends have been particularly challenging to Big Lots, as its core customers curbed their discretionary spending on the home and seasonal product categories that represent a significant portion of the Company’s revenue.” (Read more from “Massive Retailer Files for Bankruptcy as Biden-Harris Inflation Continues to Wreak Havoc on Economy” HERE)

Election data savant Nate Silver said over the weekend that Vice President Kamala Harris passed up a “big opportunity” with her choice of running mate, a move which polls indicate could cost the Democrat a crucial swing state.
The FiveThirtyEight founder wrote in his “Silver Bulletin” newsletter Sunday that the 59-year-old “blew one big opportunity to tack to the center with her selection of [Minnesota Gov.] Tim Walz rather than [Pennsylvania Gov.] Josh Shapiro.”
Silver was responding to a New York Times/Siena College poll which showed nearly half (47%) of likely voters considered Harris too liberal, a reflection of her abortive 2020 presidential campaign in which she staked out several far-left positions.
“[Harris] is a more talented politician than she showed in 2019, and it’s shame that her campaign that year was run by people who seemingly thought Elizabeth Warren was a right-winger,” Silver wrote. “I think Walz was a decent enough pick on his own merits, but given an opportunity to offer a tangible signal of the direction her presidency was headed, [Harris] reverted to 2019 mode.”
The potential selection of Shapiro had triggered backlash from far-left Democrats due to his support for Israel. Many critics said the criticism of the Jewish Shapiro was rooted in antisemitism and Silver wrote Sunday “that a tiny minority of progressives objected to Shapiro was an argument in Shapiro’s favor, if anything.” (Read more from “Kamala Harris Missed ‘Big Opportunity’ With One Campaign Decision, Polling Expert Says — And It Could Cost Her the Election” HERE)

Vice President Kamala Harris published a policy page on her official website Sunday promising she is “ready to be Commander in Chief on day one,” but she cited one of her most notorious foreign policy gaffes — claiming the United States has a “strong alliance” with North Korea — as evidence.
Harris’s presidential campaign debuted a slightly more detailed page of her stances on policy issues seven weeks after she replaced outgoing President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic Party ticket. The page focuses heavily on her experience as a prosecutor and attorney general in California but also features a more limited explanation of her stances on international issues.
“Vice President Harris is ready to be Commander in Chief on day one,” her campaign states. “Vice President Harris has been a tireless and effective diplomat on the world stage.”
A prime example listed on the “issues” page is her visit to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in September 2022 in which she attempted to reassure the nascent government of conservative South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol of Biden’s commitment to supporting it against the persistent threat of a nuclear North Korea. Biden has not treated the Korean Peninsula as a foreign policy priority during his tenure. During his time in office, communist dictator Kim Jong-un has significantly expanded his influence internationally through broadening alliances with Russia and Iran.
Harris, her policy page states, “has met with China’s Xi Jinping, making clear she will always stand up for American interests in the face of China’s threats, and traveled to the Indo-Pacific four times to advance our economic and security partnerships.” (Read more from “Kamala Policy Page Touts DMZ Visit – Site of ‘Alliance With North Korea’ Gaffe – As Proof She Is ‘Ready’ on ‘Day 1’” HERE)

By New York Post. For the first time in weeks, former President Donald Trump pulled ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in one of the most-watched national polls — raising the prospect that her momentum has fizzled out just ahead of their debate.
Trump edged out Harris 48% to 47% among likely voters nationally, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll.
The poll mirrors the surveys from late July when Trump led Harris among likely voters just after President Biden dropped out of the race. Other polls have similarly begun to show the 45th president regaining ground against his rival weeks after the Democratic National Convention wrapped up.
Trump’s renewed razor-thin lead comes despite the fact that 70% of voters and 37% of those backing him felt that the 45th president had uttered something they found offensive.
Harris had surged in the polls across the board after getting jolted to the top of the ticket and captured the lead over Trump in the RealClearPolitics aggregate of polling. She also gained ground in the battleground state polls, which still remain largely a tossup. New Poll Shows Trump Holds Lead With ‘Remarkably Resilient’ Support
By Fox News. Former President Donald Trump is maintaining his lead nationally, seemingly shrugging off a burst of enthusiasm for Democrats after Vice President Kamala Harris entered the race.
Trump garnered the support of 48% of likely voters, compared to 47% who indicated support for Harris, according to the latest results of the New York Times/Siena poll released on Sunday.
The results are essentially identical to the last time the New York Times/Siena poll asked voters for their preference in the aftermath of President Biden dropping out of the race in late July, with that poll also showing Trump with a 48-47 lead.
The poll comes after weeks of increased enthusiasm for the Democratic ticket after Harris took over for Biden, though the New York Times argued that it appears Trump’s support is “remarkably resilient” to the stunning changes to the election landscape.
The poll found that Harris has yet to sell voters on her vision for the country, with 28% of respondents indicating that they felt like they needed to know more about her in order for her to earn their support. In contrast, only 9% indicated similar concerns about Trump. (Read more from “New Poll Shows Trump Holds Lead With ‘Remarkably Resilient’ Support” HERE)

Now that she is running for president in a political moment when victimhood is currency, Vice President Kamala Harris paints herself as being brought up on the “streets” — complete with fake accents as part of her bit.
However, unfortunately for that narrative, the politics editor at Breitbart News (me) happens to have grown up in the same neighborhood Harris lived in from when she was 12 to 18 and can report that calling herself “middle class” is definitely a stretch.
On Labor Day, Harris put on one of her myriad fake dialects to address a working-class crowd in Detroit, Michigan.
However, it is virtually impossible for Harris to have organically adopted that accent — or “code switch,” as the propagandists at the Associated Press refer to it — given that not only did she not grow up anywhere near the working class, she actually grew up in one of the most upscale enclaves in Canada, a commonwealth nation with distinctly non-American English.
When Harris was 12, she left Berkeley after her mother was hired to work with McGill University, doing breast cancer research at Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital — the hospital in which I was born. Local doctors described her mother as a “pioneer.” (Read more from “Exposed: Kamala Harris’s ‘Middle-Class’ Upbringing in Westmount, Canada” HERE)
The New Republic, a publication I can vaguely recall from my youth (when people last cared about it), is saying the quiet part out loud: “Kamala Harris Doesn’t Need Policy to Win.”
This might be a true statement, but coming from the media, Kamala’s policy, or lack thereof, ought to be examined as a matter of public interest. Which is to say that the question they should be asking is not whether Kamala can win an election without talking about policy but whether she should.
Kamala Harris still doesn’t have a single policy position listed on her website. Even Mark Penn, a former top adviser to Hillary Clinton, is appalled:
One interview. One debate. Some rah rah stump speech you read over and over. And voila you have a 50 per cent chance of being president.
Good gig if you can get it. No 3 debates. No 2 years of primaries, coalition building, no detailed policy development, and no daily press briefings. Or tests of leadership.
