Leftist Activist Compares Criticism of CRT to KKK, Segregation

Author Ibram X. Kendi compared criticism of critical race theory (CRT) to the KKK and pushback against the integration of schools during a Wednesday conversation with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

Kendi said that it is necessary to talk about racism in the same way that it is vital to treat cancer – if the uncomfortable subject is not talked about, then we will never heal. He also compared teaching about racism to teaching about the Holocaust when asked at what age children should be taught about racism, according to an article about the event by the AFT.

Kendi said that teachers educate children about the Holocaust in age-appropriate ways beginning when they are very young in order to prevent it from happening again, and the same approach should be used when teaching about slavery.

The author and activist then discussed critical race theory, the idea that America is fundamentally racist, and teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies. DOJ Post Nominee Pushed Essay Comparing Cops to KKK

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division circulated an essay from self-proclaimed Marxist poet Amiri Baraka defending cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal and referring to police officers as members of the Ku Klux Klan, according an email from her days at Columbia University.

Kristen Clarke forwarded the Baraka essay in an email on June 25, 1999, to her mentor, the late historian Manning Marable.

She suggested that the essay, entitled “Mumia, ‘Lynch Law’ & Imperialism” be placed in a magazine Marable edited and used for a panel on the death penalty.

“Here is a piece for the magazine & the panel 3 Race and The Death Penalty,” Clarke wrote to Marable.

The email was obtained by the American Accountability Foundation, a conservative advocacy group founded by two former Republican Senate staffers. The foundation, which has published other materials about Clarke on its website, BidenNoms.com, says that the email is from Marable’s academic archives at Columbia University.

Associated Press Confirms That Biden Once Eulogized a Former KKK Leader

The Associated Press this week confirmed in a fact check that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden once eulogized a former Ku Klux Klan leader who also served in the U.S. Senate for decades.

In a fact check of a claim circulating on the Internet, the AP disputed the allegation that Biden gave a eulogy for “former KKK Grand Wizard Robert Byrd” upon Byrd’s death in 2010.

Rather, the news wire said, Byrd was an exalted cyclops, not a “grand wizard.” The term “grand wizard” refers to a major leader of the white supremacist group, while an “exalted cyclops” is merely a leader of a local chapter of the Klan. Another Public School Distributed BLM Handout Comparing Law Enforcement to Slave Owners, the KKK

The left’s not very original. Anything they don’t like is either Hitler or the KKK: ICE, Republicans, cops, the founding fathers — you name it. So it’s no surprise that a public school teacher in Westlake, New York kicked off the first day of class by distributing a handout on the Black Lives Matter movement that compares cops and sheriff’s deputies to klansmen and slave owners.

The disgusting propaganda featured a five-frame cartoon panel that began with a depiction of a slave owner placing his knees on the back of a shackled slave, The New York Post reported. As the frames progress, the slave owner is replaced by a member of the KKK and then, finally, a sheriff’s deputy and a police officer[:]

“My daughter showed me the paper. I said, `What is this?! You’ve got to be kidding me!’ ” said Westlake mom Ania Paternostro. “This cartoon compares the police to the KKK. It’s an attack on the police.” . . .

Her daughter Nicole said she was troubled by Moreno’s lesson plan because she considered it one-sided and anti-police, too.

“The cartoon was disgusting,’’ the teen said. “It compared the police with all the terrible people in history. It was not fair. It wasn’t right.’’

Herschel Walker’s Son Goes off on Black Lives Matter: They’re ‘the KKK in Blackface’ and ‘a Terrorist Organization’

Christian Walker, the gay son of football legend Herschel Walker, unloaded on Black Lives Matter protesters and rioters in an in-your-face video posted to social media on Monday, calling them “domestic terrorists.”

“Anybody who honestly cares about black people could not support Black Lives Matter — it’s a terrorist organization, and personally I think it’s the KKK in blackface,” Walker said in the opening of the video posted on the Log Cabin Republicans’ Twitter account.

Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing the LGBT community.

In the video, Walker, who lives in Los Angeles, recalls being frightened and then enraged after witnessing looting and burning taking place on the streets right outside his home.

“I was on the roof of my building in Los Angeles, and I was looking around town and the whole town was on fire because of radical BLM domestic terrorists,” he said. “There were 12 helicopters in the sky. I was freaking out, and all anyone had to say was, ‘Oh, let me go post a black square on Instagram!’ And I said, ‘Oh, no-no-no, I’m not giving up my country up to the radical left.'”

School District Assigns Students Project Likening Police to Slave Owners, KKK (VIDEO)

School officials in Wylie, Texas, apologized Thursday for a cartoon students received as part of an assignment that compared police to the KKK and slave owners.

“This is abhorrent and disgusting, and only further widens the gap between police officers and the youth in our community,” Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) National Vice President Joe Gamaldi wrote in a tweet:

Wylie Independent School District (ISD) officials said a social studies teacher at Cooper Junior High included the cartoon in a lesson for about 400 students, according to Fox 4 News.

The lesson was reportedly intended to be about the Bill of Rights and the right to protest.

However, students were allegedly “instructed to recreate political cartoons depicting current events, including the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis,” according to NBC 5.

WATCH: GOP Reps Push Resolution to Ban Democratic Party Over Ties to Slavery

A group of Republican House members, led by Rep. Louis Gohmert of Texas, introduced a resolution Thursday that would effectively ban the Democratic Party from the House or force a party name change over past slavery ties — a response to the recent efforts to remove tributes to past members of the Confederacy from the halls of Congress.

It specifically cites the Democratic Party platform’s support for slavery between 1840 and 1856, and other racist actions by party members through the early-to-mid 1900s, before calling on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to “remove any items that names, symbolizes or mentions any political organization or party that has ever held a public position that supported slavery or the Confederacy” from the House and its properties. The resolution also says such a party “shall either change its name or be barred from participation in the House of Representatives.”

Gohmert, in a statement accompanying the bill, told Democrats they should rebrand to “avoid triggering” anyone.

“As outlined in the resolution, a great portion of the history of the Democratic Party is filled with racism and hatred,” Gohmert said. “Since people are demanding we rid ourselves of the entities, symbols, and reminders of the repugnant aspects of our past, then the time has come for Democrats to acknowledge their party’s loathsome and bigoted past, and consider changing their party name to something that isn’t so blatantly and offensively tied to slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination, and the Ku Klux Klan.” (Read more from “GOP Reps Push Resolution to Ban Democratic Party Over Ties to Slavery” HERE)

Whoops: Progressive-Themed Beer Quickly Canceled for Offensive KKK Packaging

The beverage distributor World of Beer recently stocked a Democratic-themed beer dressed up in an old Democratic uniform, which scared Democrats. The questionable “Yellow Belly” beer was created by a pair of international breweries to “celebrate all things progressive.”

It was picked up by major craft brew distributor World of Beer, which quickly sent the Klan-clad brews across the country. According to the brewery, the intention was to bring awareness to institutional racism and the cowardice of the KKK. They named their beer “Yellow Belly,” which they define as “a person who is without courage, fortitude, or nerve; a coward.”

Exactly how this message is conveyed by a peanut butter biscuit stout wrapped in a KKK hood is unclear.

Democratic Congressman Who Called Trump a ‘Grand Wizard’ Says He Never Called the President Racist

By The Blaze. House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) defended his Martin Luther King Jr. Day comments likening President Donald Trump to a Ku Klux Klan “grand wizard” by saying he never called the commander in chief racist. . .

During a speech at an MLK event on Monday, Jeffries said, “We have a hater in the White House,” and then he called Trump “the grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

In an apparent attempt to clarify his comments, the congressman told CNN Wednesday that he doesn’t regret his statements “at all.”

“With respect to the comments of a few days ago, we’ve got to have an opportunity for at least one day a year to have a candid — if sometimes uncomfortable — conversation about race,” he explained.

“Seems to me that we can’t have that conversation on Valentine’s Day, we can’t have that conversation on St. Patrick’s Day,” he continued. “It’s perhaps appropriate for us to be able to have that difficult discussion on MLK Day when we’re celebrating the life and legacy of a champion for racial and social justice.” (Read more from “Democratic Congressman Who Called Trump a ‘Grand Wizard’ Says He Never Called the President Racist” HERE)

Jeffries Says Trump Isn’t a Racist but Defends ‘Grand Wizard’ Comparison

By Politico. House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries said Wednesday that he does not believe President Donald Trump — whom he referred to earlier this week as “the grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” — is a racist, only that he has a history of “racially insensitive remarks.”

At an event Monday marking Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the New York Democrat ripped Trump’s record on race relations, at one point labeling the president a “grand wizard,” the title for a leader of the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist group that has terrorized black Americans since the 1800s.

“We have a hater in the White House. A birther in chief. The grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. One of the things that we’ve learned is that while Jim Crow may be dead, he’s still got some nieces and nephews that are alive and well,” Jeffries said at the MLK day event in New York.
