Americans Actually Hate Woke Corporate Activism

According to a new study conducted by the Brunswick Group, Americans are decidedly against woke corporations delving into politics and overwhelmingly view corporate activism as self-serving phony panderism used for marketing and manipulation.

Consumers have made it exceedingly clear that they don’t approve of actions such as Disney firing actress Gina Carano, the censorship of Dr. Seuss’ books, or Amazon pulling a documentary about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Many have protested by ditching companies that pull these kinds of stunts but corporations don’t seem to be getting the message.

Ajaw-dropping 63 percent of corporate executives “agree unequivocally that companies should speak out on social issues.” But their politicized viewpoints don’t align with those of voters. Only 36 percent agree with them. Corporate leaders also seem to have “a highly inflated sense of how effective corporate communication has been on social issues compared to voters,” according to the study.

Unbelievably, 74 percent of business executives actually think corporate activism is effective. Voters don’t see it that way… only 39 percent believe it works.

According to the study, the virtue-signaling by corporations doesn’t make a lot of sense considering they spend billions on marketing campaigns to project their wokeness and people see it as inauthentic and hypocritical. (Read more from “Americans Actually Hate Woke Corporate Activism” HERE)

Radical Leftist Attack on Gas Lines in Colorado Leaves Thousands Without Heat

The FBI is now investigating what the police are calling an “intentional attack” on the gas service lines in and around Aspen, Colorado.

According to ABC, coordinated attacks involved three separate Black Hills Energy gas line sites, one in Aspen and two elsewhere in Pitkin County on Saturday. According to Assistant Police Chief Bill Linn, the saboteurs had some knowledge to understand what they were doing, they “tampered with the flow lines. They turned off the gas lines.”

Police found the words “Earth First” written in black marker on the pipes at one of the sites. A second reference to a radical environmental group was found at another disrupted natural gas pumping site near Aspen, the police said. The sites had security measures that the saboteurs overcame. There were some footprints found, but there were no cameras at the sites. Looks like that was a critical thing to overlook with the crazies we now have on the left.

What that meant for the area was not good. That left thousands of residents and businesses without heat as the temperatures dropped to near zero degrees.

Local authorities handed out thousands of space heaters to try to help keep people from freezing on Tuesday. (Read more from “Radical Leftist Attack on Gas Lines in Colorado Leaves Thousands Without Heat” HERE)

Left-Wing Pastor Denounces ‘Straight White Men’ During Christian College Commencement Prayer — and Gets Cheers from Crowd

A left-wing pastor from a progressive church denounced “straight white men” in his commencement benediction last weekend at Baylor University, a private Christian college in Waco, Texas.

Dan Freemyer — pastor of missional engagement at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, which calls itself “fully affirming of women in lay and professional ministry roles and fully inclusive of LGBTQ+ persons” — got in a mention of the graduates’ “privileges” during his prayer Saturday morning along with an environmental appeal before turning his attention to skin color.

“And God, give them the moral imagination to reject the old keys that we are trying to give them to a planet that we’re poisoning by running it on fossil fuels and misplaced priorities,” he prayed. “A planet with too many straight white men like me behind the steering wheel while others have been expected to sit quietly at the back of the bus.” . . .

Rod Dreher, writing for the American Conservative, called Freemyer’s benediction “appalling” before asking, “I wonder how many straight white men are Baylor donors? I wonder how many straight white male and female parents of high school students will understand the meaning of this signal, and look elsewhere for their children’s Christian college education?” (Read more from “Left-Wing Pastor Denounces ‘Straight White Men’ During Christian College Commencement Prayer — and Gets Cheers from Crowd” HERE)

Nailed It: GOP Rep. Shows How to Expose the Left’s Radicalism

Yesterday, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., grilled a panelist at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on a Democratic bill that would restore voting rights to felons, showing how conservatives can expose the Left.

Gaetz brought up multiple specific cases of convicted felons, including two men who were convicted of felony voter intimidation. He asked one of the panelists, Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, if the Democratic bill, H.R. 1, would let these people vote again.

Gupta began talking about how “disenfranchisement laws” were “a product of Jim Crow,” but Gaetz interrupted her talking points and brought the argument back to reality. Who, in 2019, gets to vote?

“I’m talking about the people who go out of their way to intimidate voters, and what you’re saying is that we ought to let those people back into the system,” Gaetz said.

He then asked if the bill makes a distinction between violent and non-violent felons. Gupta admitted that all classes of felon would receive their voting rights back, regardless of the type of crime they committed.

Gaetz had specific examples of ballot propositions that felons would be allowed to vote on. He brought up the case of a man who committed sex acts with a 12-year-old at knifepoint and asked if he should be allowed to move to Missouri and vote on a recent ballot initiative that dealt with whether an individual’s past criminal conduct in violent sexual acts would be considered in sentencing. Gupta had no answer to that other than to state that H.R. 1 “upholds voting as a national symbol of equality and full citizenship.”

“I think that, like, there are some things you can do that are so bad — the degradation of people’s right to vote, intimidating people from voting, raping children — that probably surrenders your right to participate in those decisions in the future,” Gaetz said.

Influential conservatives have come out in opposition to H.R. 1, calling the bill an “attempt by House Democrats to fundamentally undermine the American electoral system.” More than 150 conservative leaders signed a memo from the Conservative Action Project explaining the problems with the bill. The memo explains how this bill:

• Forces states to implement mandatory voter registration, removing civic participation as a voluntary choice and increasing chances for error.
• Mandates that states allow all felons to vote.
• Forces states to extend periods of early voting, which has been shown to have no effect on turnout.
• Mandates same-day voter registration, which encourages voter fraud.
• Limits the ability of states to cooperate to see who is registered in multiple states at the same time.
• Prohibits election observers from cooperating with election officials to file formal challenges to suspicious voter registrations.
• Criminalizes protected political speech by making it a crime to “discourage” someone from voting
• Bars states from making their own laws about voting by mail.
• Prohibits chief election officials in each state from participating in federal election campaigns.
• Mandates free mailing of absentee ballots.
• Mandates that states adopt new redistricting commissions.

Gaetz’s thorough preparation, specific examples, and relentless questioning exposed how the Left is perfectly fine passing sweeping legislation that would let child rapists and election fraudsters vote on decisions that would impact them. Does anyone honestly think most Americans support that? (For more from the author of “Nailed It: GOP Rep. Shows How to Expose the Left’s Radicalism” please click HERE)

Stephen King Exposes the Real Reason the Left Hates Kavanaugh in Two Tweets

On Tuesday, author and ardent leftist Stephen King took to Twitter to unleash venom on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and in the process revealed one of the main reasons why the Left has such hatred for the man — and it’s certainly not because of these vague, unsubstantiated, and uncorroborated accusations enabled by shoddy reporting, either.

“If ‘white male entitlement’ was in the dictionary, it could be illustrated by Brett Kavanaugh’s photograph. The thought of this closed mind on the Supreme Court for the rest of my life sickens me,” wrote King in a tweet.

And there you have it: Kavanaugh is loathed because he is a successful white male, unable to claim any victimhood credit. The judge belonged to a frat, he played football, he’s religious, he claims he was a virgin until well after high school, he was popular and had lots of friends, graduated at the top of his class and has achieved real success. . .

King followed it up with more nonsense: “While in college, Brett Kavanaugh was a heavy drinker and an enthusiastic party-boy. Those behaviors change with age, but the attitudes and assumptions which drove the behaviors rarely do,” he wrote.

The Liberal Left Is Blundering Into States Rights and Federalism

Recently, the state of California has done, or threatened to do, some very “radical” things in defiance of the federal government. Pro-Trump Republicans and independent conservatives have predictably wagged a finger at the Golden State of Liberalism, but they ought to reconsider the dynamic that is being played out. What we are witnessing is the liberal left blundering into states rights and federalism, something they will never like to admit. It could, however, portend well for other states that might have the gumption to reawaken devotion to true Constitutionalism.

Consider first California’s new state law on the selling of federal lands to be first offered to the state, rather than to another party. Attorney General Jeff Sessions pontificates from a quote in the Washington Post: “The Constitution empowers the federal government — not state legislatures — to decide when and how federal lands are sold. California was admitted to the Union upon the express condition that it would never interfere with the disposal of federal law. And yet, once again, the California legislature has enacted an extreme state law attempting to frustrate federal policy.”

This is selective reading of the Constitution, something which everyone except a few people, like Ron Paul, falls into. California was also admitted into the union on the premise that the federal government would obey the Constitution. What are we to do when this is violated? What kind of a deal is a contract where only one party must abide by the terms but not the other?

Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 specifically lists the things that the federal government is entitled to own in regards to land: The District of Columbia, forts, arsenals, magazines, dock-yards and other needful buildings. The existence of national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, monuments, battlefields, even cemeteries, ought to have required a Constitutional amendment. Instead, Yellowstone was created in 1872, when states rights were at a nadir in the era of Reconstruction. True, Yellowstone was in federal property at the time, but such designations still would have required an amendment.

The fact that national parks and the like have proven popular should not be confused with “constitutional”. Once a contract is violated, and accepted by both parties, the sky is the limit. Yet, why haven’t the amendments been passed? Because it would demonstrate that the “supreme law of the land” has been held in wanton disregard, and there would be other things that are not quite so popular which would be called into question.

Now, hold on, because I hear a voice that says, “But the Constitution doesn’t say you CAN’T have national parks!” Oh, yes it does, in the 10th Amendment. It fully informs us that the Founding Fathers fully anticipated such arguments and sought to answer them through the misnamed “Bill of Rights”, which, if one reads its preamble, makes it abundantly clear that many states would never have joined the union without first adding additional clarifications and restrictions to federal power. James Madison’s Federalist #45 also confirms this interpretation: that federal powers were “few and defined”, and all other powers were left to the states.

Let us now visit California’s other threat, and that is to defend illegal immigrants in its “sanctuary cities”. This is clearly a violation of federal prerogatives in controlling our borders and sovereignty.

Ah, but it also bespeaks something that few conservatives want to revisit, and that is secession. It clearly has been legal all along. Read the Declaration of Independence in its first breath. The American colonies were seceding from the British Empire, and creating thirteen separate nations, cooperating in self-defense. They had no legal mechanism within British imperial laws. However, they did cite Natural Law, an aspect of humanity that seldom gets any study except in seminaries and theology classes.

I publicly debated the right to secession not too long ago and pointed out that if the Constitution had specifically written a clause that fully confirmed what happened in our War Between the States, not a single state would have joined. It might have read, “No state may voluntarily or unilaterally leave the union without threat of invasion from the general government and the states”. There is no such clause, of course, yet it is precisely what Lincoln did.

In fact, New York, Virginia and Rhode Island laid out a conditional proviso that they could and would leave the union if the promises made in the Constitution were violated. This shocks many people, especially those who worship at the Cult of Lincoln. A supposed genius, Abe was more of the typical political hack than most historians care to admit. He was a “more government” member of the Whig Party for decades, which is what the Republican Party was at in its inception. Like most lawyers, he knew little of Constitutional law, and certainly was selective in citing history.

So, what does this have to do with California’s “sanctuary cities”? Clearly, the federal government is being defied, and in this case, in a legitimate power. If Governor Brown, his

attorney general and the California liberal legislators were honest with themselves, they would admit that they, in fact, don’t like being in the union. When they awake to this fact, the term “Erring Sisters, depart in peace” might have new meaning.

They brag about their state having one of the world’s strongest economies. Before political independence, the economic independence of a state is necessary. And this might explain a lot as to why Alaska’s statehood act has kept us in dwarf status and prevented us from largely making our own economic decisions.

I might not like California’s liberal use of states rights, but I certainly am encouraged by it, because once this cat gets out of the bag, abused western states such as Alaska will call in its chips and demand a proper relationship between the states and the federal tyrants in Washington, a tyranny that exists no matter what party currently controls the federal power.

REAL HISTORY: The Fascists and Nazis Included Numerous Homosexuals, Closely Mirror the Modern American Left

For a generation, progressives have portrayed fascism and Nazism as exemplified by sexual repression and moral conservatism. In this view, the left has an anti-Nazi sensibility because the left is into bohemianism and sexual expression. In my new book, “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of American Left,” I show that the fascists and Nazis, far from being repressed moral conservatives, were themselves sexually and stylistically bohemian. In style as well as in ideology, fascism and Nazism are phenomena of the political left.

The whole notion that fascism and Nazism are forms of sexual repression is the invention of one man, Herbert Marcuse of the so-called Frankfurt School. Himself a refugee from Nazi Germany, Marcuse was a Marxist who detested Christianity and capitalism with the same passion that he hated Hitler. In the period after World War II, Marcuse set about to mobilize the hatred Americans felt for Nazism against America’s own capitalist and Christian social and sexual mores. . .

Marcuse proclaimed that this “suppressed sexuality” was indicative of an emerging American fascism. Without being released, he wrote, it “manifests itself in the hideous forms so well known” including the “sadistic and masochistic orgies” of prison inmates and “concentration camp guards.” Marcuse’s mantra was: Away with all this. Liberate the libido. Let it all hang out. Marcuse termed what he was promoting as “polymorphous sexuality”. . .

In reality, Marcuse was pulling off a major scam. While the rutting bohemians of the 1960s had no idea, Marcuse surely knew that the Nazis and the Italian fascists were themselves – almost to a man – bohemians. Hitler himself was a painter and artiste before he went into politics. He was obsessed with music and regularly attended the Bayreuth Festival; Wagner’s music, Hitler said, reflected the triumph of art over life. He was also a vegetarian. Hitler had a secret mistress, Eva Braun, whom he only married the day before the two of them committed suicide. In their case, “till death do us part” was literally a matter of hours.

Hitler also despised Christianity as a kind of disease and regularly spoke of seeking its eventual eradication in the Third Reich. “Pure Christianity,” Hitler said, “leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. … Let us be the only people who are immunized against the disease.” While he recognized the political inadvisability of openly attacking Christianity, privately Hitler called it “an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless.” Of Christianity, Hitler said, “The catastrophe for us is that of being tied to a religion that rebels against all the joys of the senses.”

Heralded Author Identifies Dark Force Behind the Left

Michael Walsh is not suggesting they sacrifice goats, but he is saying there is something decidedly satanic about leftists’ politics, and he cites classical literature and history as his proof.

The author, Disney screenwriter, occasional New York Post op-ed columnist, regular contributor to National Review and PJ Media, winner of the American Books Awards prize for fiction for his 2004 novel, “And All the Saints,” and former music critic for Time magazine was in Washington this week to give a talk at the Family Research Council.

His highly acclaimed new book, “The Devil’s Pleasure Palace,” has garnered rave reviews from such conservative luminaries as Victor Davis Hanson, William Kristol and Kathryn Jean Lopez.

The title of the book comes from an obscure opera of the same name by Schubert, in which a pleasure palace offering all earthly delights turns out to be a deadly illusion, something Walsh finds echoed when leftist thought has been put into practice . . .

In his book, Walsh said the left has erected “a modern Devil’s Pleasure Palace, a Potemkin village built on the promises of ‘social justice’ and equality for all … a world without without want or cold or fear or racism or sexism … a world that sounds very much like heaven,” but, instead, “this world has become hell.” (Read more from “Heralded Author Identifies Dark Force Behind the Left” HERE)
