Times are tough out there for liberals, especially women. According to the 2022 American Family Survey, no demographic is unhappier and less satisfied with their mental health than liberal women.
Over 30% of conservative men and women said they were “completely satisfied” with their lives, compared to just 20% of liberal men and 15% of liberal women. The gap between liberals and conservatives was even wider on mental health. Over 35% of conservative men and women said they were completely satisfied with their mental health, compared to, again, just 20% of liberal men and 15% of liberal women.
Looking to explain why liberal women are so unhappy, National Marriage Project Director Brad Wilcox notes that no demographic is happier with their family life than conservative women. Over 60% of conservative women say they are completely satisfied with their family life, compared to 50% of conservative men and just 35% of liberal women. Joe Rogan said that what it means to be a liberal has changed, arguing that the term had come to be all about “people that want censorship,” “people that are intolerant of other people’s ideas,” and more.
During “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast on Tuesday, Rogan spoke to his guest MMA fighter Jake Shields, and Rogan definitely sounded like he was unsure exactly what group he belonged in anymore because he said he had identified his whole life as a liberal. He explained that being liberal now means thinking it’s “fine to insult people and to be like really aggressive” to them. It starts at the 1:27:16 minute mark here.
Shields agreed and said the “current liberals have turned really weird.” He explained he doesn’t consider himself “conservative still” but instead independent because he said these “parties they do things” he just can’t associate with.
“They seem a lot more intolerant,” Shields said.
“My parents were hippies,” Rogan explained. “It’s like there’s a difference between what liberal meant then and what it includes now. It includes now people that want military action. It includes now people that want censorship.” (Read more from “Is Bernie Sanders Running in 2024?” HERE)

Liberals may be filling up the offices at the White House right now. And the seats in Congress. And in newly filled judicial posts. And in education and the military. And don’t forget their dominance in social media. . .
The long history of liberals as an also-ran minority comes from Gallup.
Its new polling explains, “The way Americans identify themselves ideologically was unchanged in 2021, continuing the close division that has persisted in recent years between those describing themselves as either conservative or moderate, while a smaller share identifies as liberal. On average last year, 37% of Americans described their political views as moderate, 36% as conservative and 25% as liberal.”
While those defining themselves as liberal have grown from 17% three decades ago, those who are moderate have edged back from 43% to about 37%. Conservatives have gone from 36% to 40% to 36% over that time.
“Long term, Americans’ political ideology hasn’t varied greatly, but moderates were generally the lead group by a slight margin in most years from 1992 to 1998. Between 1999 and 2008, moderates and conservatives were about evenly matched (within two percentage points of each other) – similar to the pattern from 2015 through today. By contrast, in a unique period from 2009 to 2014 – the first six years of Barack Obama’s presidency – conservatives held a slight edge,” the report said. Ever since Jason Reitman teased that he would be “rebooting” the “Ghostbusters” franchise (yet again), social justice warriors who clamored to support the middling all-female “Ghostbusters” reboot from several years ago have been complaining about the decision. Now that a trailer has debuted, the anger has hit a fever pitch.
Reitman is the son of the original “Ghostbusters” director, Ivan Reitman, and his decision to jump start the “Ghostbusters” franchise after the disastrous 2016 effort came as a welcome surprise to Sony Pictures, which had all but written off “Ghostbusters” save for a possible cartoon television series or kids movie. A teaser dropped earlier this year, but a full trailer dropped this week. . .
That said, there’s no one angrier about the trailer than social justice warriors who saw 2016’s all-female Ghostbusters as a win for diversity in filmmaking, even if the movie itself was pretty awful.
Leslie Jones, who starred in the 2016 remake, led the way, several months ago, comparing Reitman’s reboot to “something Trump would do,” likely implying institutionalized racism and sexism.
James McMahon tweeted, “F**k that Ghostbusters trailer. White liberals present themselves as less competent when addressing minorities, while conservatives use the same vocabulary no matter what the race of their audience, according to a newly released study.
Yale and Princeton researchers found that white Democratic presidential candidates and self-identified liberals played down their competence when speaking to minorities, using fewer words that conveyed accomplishment and more words that expressed warmth.
On the other hand, there were no significant differences in how white conservatives, including Republican presidential candidates, spoke to white versus minority audiences.
“White liberals self-present less competence to minorities than to other Whites — that is, they patronize minorities stereotyped as lower status and less competent,” according to the study’s abstract.
Cydney Dupree, assistant professor of organizational behavior at the Yale School of Management, said she was surprised by the findings of the study, which sought to discover how “well-intentioned whites” interact with minorities. By Townhall. The liberal mainstream news media have a narrative about Donald Trump and they do not deviate. The constant refrain is that the President is unhinged, idiotic, tyrannical and especially racist. Recently, the President was labeled a racist when he criticized CNN’s Don Lemon and NBA star LeBron James. Their latest obsession is the new book written by fired White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman.
In the book, Omarosa accuses the President of being a racist and using the “N-word” while hosting The Apprentice on NBC-TV. The President’s inflammatory language was supposedly captured on a tape that has been withheld from the public. Nevertheless, the show’s former producer, Mark Burnett, denied that such a tape exists. The President also tweeted that he doesn’t “have that word in my vocabulary, and never have.”
Despite the denials, the media will continue to focus on Omarosa as a way of damaging the President who they love to hate. According to the Media Research Center, the coverage of the President by the major networks has been extremely biased. At least, 90% of the coverage has been negative, much worse than the positive press they showered on Barack Obama.
In this toxic media environment, it is amazing that a new Rasmussen poll shows that Trump has a 50% overall approval rating. This is higher than Obama’s rating at a similar point in his presidency.
Among the findings is an interesting trend among African American voters. Despite the constant media portrayal of the President as a flaming racist, the August 15, 2018 Rasmussen poll showed that 36% of African American respondents gave the President a positive approval rating. Trump at 36 Percent Approval Among African-Americans, New Poll Finds

Even as cable news networks debate reports of the existence of a recording of President Donald Trump using a racial slur, a new poll from Rasmussen Reports says that the president’s approval rating among African-Americans is at 36 percent, nearly double his support at this time last year.
“Today’s @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 36%,” Rasmussen said in a tweet. “This day last year: 19%.”
That is a staggeringly high number for a man who only won 8 percent of the African-American vote in 2016.
It is even more unexpected given the president’s rocky history on matters related to race, including his current nasty feud with former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, who has alleged Trump said “n word” on the set of the reality-TV show “The Apprentice.” . . .

Commentators keep on pointing out examples of the Left’s antagonism toward free speech as if this were inconsistent with its first principles. It’s not. Leftism cannot be for free speech. Why? Because of what political philosopher Eric Voegelin recognized as the Gnostic character of its first principles.
Speech depends on the one-to-one correspondence between external realities and communicable concepts. Speech is reality’s witness and herald. What happens when you deny the fabric of external reality, as Gnosticism does? Or when, as leftism believes, objective reality is the projection of psychic and systemic forces by retrograde powers? . . .
Philosophically, Gnosticism sees speech as the tool by which demiurgic powers establish their corrupt systems, institutions, and social arrangements. We might think we’re just reflecting the binary reality of the sexes when we use the pronouns “he” or “she.” In reality, we’re stooges of that oppressive demiurge entrenching his tyranny, the sex binary.
All speech suffers the same judgment. It’s all about entrenching the existing power structures evolved over time through the distillation of human experience embodied in tradition. A white male cannot speak beyond the prison cell of his whiteness, maleness, and property ownership. Letters are fetters. His every word projects a cosmic architecture favorable to his own power quest. Language can only be his linguistic rape of those without power. All this, of course, he knows nothing about, because he’s un-woke.
Gnostics were the first to reduce all perceived reality to a network of power relationships. Archon is Greek for “power.” One is born under the influence of these power systems — his family system, his local culture and nation state, his religion, the various economic and social systems of his society — and from birth his mind marinates in the language propping up these systems. Journalists and major liberal news outlets have compared violent American flag-burning protesters to soldiers storming the beaches of Normandy — all while downplaying the leftists’ violence.
The protesters, known as antifa (short for anti-fascist), often advocate for communism and have been deemed a domestic terrorist movement by New Jersey. Persons associated with the movement have previously stabbed a police horse and beat people with bike locks.
The work to mainstream the violent leftists came as a response to President Trump saying that “both sides” were responsible for violence at a white nationalist rally over the weekend in Charlottesville, Va.
Indeed, many counter-protesters showed up with bats and maced rally-goers. Trump pointed this out Tuesday and said counter protesters were “swinging clubs” as they “came charging at, as you say, at the alt-right.”

Fans everywhere raved about Beyoncé’s performance at the Grammy Awards Sunday night.
Just weeks ago, the singer had announced via Instagram that she is expecting twins with her husband Jay Z. Her first performance since the announcement was an obvious celebration of motherhood. She dressed as Oshun, the Yoruba goddess of fertility, her golden gown highlighting a sizable baby bump. Over the space of two songs, she honored her own mother Tina Knowles and her five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Even though British singer Adele ultimately bested Beyoncé for album of the year, the Lemonade artist’s performance dominated the evening buzz.

Media outlets like USA Today and Mic praised Beyoncé’s performance. The New York Times called it a “jaw-dropping, multimedia homage to motherhood.” The Associated Press acknowledged the star’s celebration of “her femininity and motherhood,” saying she “invoked images of both a goddess and the Virgin Mary.” The Washington Post called the performance “an ode to womanhood.”
The “Single Ladies” singer even garnered praise from some pro-choice organizations, including the Women’s March, which unceremoniously shunned pro-life groups that applied to participate in last month’s historic march in Washington, D.C. NARAL, the organization dedicated to protecting and expanding “reproductive freedom for all,” shared Mic’s praise of Beyoncé’s “ode to black motherhood.”

The Sad Hypocrisy
Don’t get me wrong — Beyoncé definitely deserves kudos for pulling off yet another compelling performance, complete with complex multimedia choreography, dance moves and even chair stunts — all while visibly carrying twins.
It’s sad, however, that so many of the people, organizations and even media outlets gushing over Beyoncé and her pregnancy are so quick to defend abortion.
In fact, the reaction to Beyoncé’s performance underscores the very hypocrisy that plagues pro-choice advocates. When babies are wanted — like when they belong to cultural idol Queen Bey — those babies are adored. Fans can’t wait to see what she will name them. They’re eager to speculate whether the twins will be boys, girls, or one of each. They aren’t talking about Beyoncé’s “fetuses,” as several pro-life outlets have already pointed out. No, these are Beyoncé’s babies.
But what about babies who aren’t wanted? Who prove a hardship? Or when the circumstances of their conception are painful or unplanned? When that happens, the same people currently elated over Beyoncé’s pregnancy will march in the streets demanding unlimited access to abortion. All of a sudden, to equate pregnancy with womanhood is offensive. Saying “babies” instead of “fetuses” is backward. And anyone who dares to suggest that all unborn life should be protected is silenced.
When You’re Beyoncé
This hypocritical message from the Leftist elite is incredibly harmful to women — especially the everyday, underprivileged, and often minority women they profess to care so much about.
When you’re Beyoncé, motherhood is glamorous. You can post photos of your growing belly on Instagram and garner over 10 million likes. You can dress up as a golden, glowing goddess of fertility and perform for millions on live TV. You can slip into a sparkling red gown after a team of professionals has freshened up your pregnant body and still have paparazzi rave about how “smoking hot” you are. And when you’re Beyoncé, you have all the resources, support, care and advice that money and adoration can buy.
I’m not undermining anything about Beyoncé’s motherhood. I’m just being honest. When you’re Beyoncé, it’s easier.
Most women aren’t Beyoncé. Many who get pregnant are underprivileged, with little money, no one to offer loving advice, and no partner to share the load of raising another human.
For those women, motherhood is not as glamorous as it is for Beyoncé. But it’s every bit as meaningful. The Left must not see that though, because its organizations such as Planned Parenthood target those women with zealous sales pitches for abortion.
Those mothers and their unborn babies need all the love, care and assistance the rest of us can offer — not the tragic “way out” so often advocated by wealthy coastal elites.
If we as a culture reserve our celebration of motherhood for the rich and famous, then we’re sending a dishonest and harmful message to millions of everyday women and girls. Normal motherhood isn’t glittery, glamorous, or Insta-famous. But it’s every bit as good, valuable and worth it.
