Bill Clinton Meets Privately With Attorney General to Talk Golf and Grandkids?

It’s hardly news when two acquaintances meet up at an airport and spend half an hour chatting about golf, grandkids and travel. Good luck getting a grandparent or golfer to stop talking about those subjects.

However, it is news when the traveler is U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the golfing grandpa is former President Bill Clinton, whose wife is currently under intense criminal investigation by Lynch’s FBI. And it may well be unethical.

Credit ABC 15 in Phoenix for breaking the story. On Monday, just hours before the release of the Benghazi Report, Clinton joined Lynch aboard her plane on the tarmac of Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport. The two reportedly met for 30 minutes. The meeting was unannounced and Lynch didn’t reveal the chat until reporters from ABC 15 brought it up at a press conference.

“I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport,” she admitted. “As I was leaving and he spoke to myself and my husband on the plane. Our conversation was a great deal about his grandchildren. It was primarily social and about our travels. He mentioned the golf he played in Phoenix.”

Lynch insisted the two did not discuss the ongoing FBI probe.

“There was no discussion on any matter pending before the Department or any matter pending with any other body, there was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails, by way of example I would say it was current news of the day, the Brexit decision and what it would mean.”

The conservative Twittersphere reacted with a collective, “Yeah, right.” Here’s just one sample of many offered by Twitchy, under the title “Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch TOTALLY didn’t talk about -you-know-what during their private convo (suuure)”

To be fair, Clinton and Lynch do have history. It was President Clinton who in 1999 appointed Lynch to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. (She left there in 2001 to the powerful DC-based legal firm Hogan & Hartson, now Hogan Lovells, whose lawyers include Robert Bennett, most famous for representing Clinton during his impeachment ordeal. President Obama reappointed her U.S. Attorney in 2010 before tapping her America’s top law enforcement officer late in 2014.)

However, as a respected prosecutor who even Republican Rudy Giuliani praised as an “extraordinary appointment,” Lynch had to know a “social” meeting with Bill Clinton would raise legal eyebrows. Lynch has already said she is engaged in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server, and there are reports the FBI has opened a second investigation centered around the former secretary of state’s official activities and the Clinton Foundation. According to The Daily Caller News Foundation, this second investigation is “reportedly focused on allegations of “pay-to-play” efforts in which Clinton traded policy or other official actions in return for contributions by foreign donors to the foundation.” The DCNF recently uncovered a new filing by the Clinton Foundation in New York listing some $17.7 million in foreign donations during the time Hillary was in office.

So if this report of a second investigation is true, Lynch was not only meeting with the spouse of a subject she is investigating, she met with a man who himself could be a target.

Stream legal expert Rachel Alexander, herself a former prosecutor, found the talk on the tarmac “unbelievable.” She cited the National District Attorneys Association National Prosecution Standards and its section on conflict of interest. Subsection 1 reads:

Conflict Avoidance A prosecutor should not hold an interest or engage in activities, financial or otherwise, that conflict, have a significant potential to create conflict, or are likely to create a reasonable appearance of conflict with the duties and responsibilities of the prosecutor’s office.

Clearly, hanging out for half-an-hour in an airplane is already creating a “reasonable appearance of conflict,” even if Lynch is honoring her promise to be impartial and independent when deciding whether to charge Hillary Clinton.

“Simply put,” says Dan Abrams at LawNewz.com, “it just looks bad.”

Then again, what if, out of respect for a former president, the Attorney General wanted to deliver bad news in person? That’s certainly as plausible as parking on a hot runway an extra half hour just to coo over pictures of Bill and Hillary’s bouncing baby grandson. Lawfare: Left-Wing U.S. Attorneys General Wage Legal Blitzkrieg on Science, Freedom and Truth

16362646138_ce42b966bc_b (1)So a bunch of left-wing US Attorneys General have held a meeting in New York — presided over by discredited professional climate-alarmist Al Gore — to discuss how best to use the legal system to wipe out climate scepticism once and for all. They did so under the shamelessly political slogan: “AGs for Clean Power.”

Now the Attorney General of the US Virgin Islands — some utter nonentity called Claude Earl Walker — has gone a step further by actually subpoenaing the Competitive Enterprise Institute to give up ten years’ worth of documents pertaining to its relationship with ExxonMobil.

Walker is trying to nail the oil giant using a criminal statute originally designed to convict drug dealers and mobsters.

The voluminous, harassing 14-page subpoena says Inquisitor Walker is investigating ExxonMobil for “misrepresenting its knowledge of the likelihood that its products and activities have contributed to and are continuing to contribute to climate change in order to defraud the Government … and consumers.” This supposedly violates the Criminally Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, which is the Virgin Islands’ version of the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act, or RICO.

Well good luck with that, Claude Earl Walker, whoever you were — which will be nobody by the time the CEI’s lawyers are done with you. The prosecution case you are about to lend your name to is about as futile, fatuous and imbecilic as launching a class action against dentists for providing insufficient information to children about the Tooth Fairy; or against parents for failing to divulge the truth about Santa Claus. AG Lynch: DOJ Has Conferred With the FBI About Pursuing Climate Deniers [+video]

Attorney General Loretta Lynch acknowledged Wednesday that there have been discussions within the Department of Justice about possibly pursuing civil action against so-called climate change deniers.

“This matter has been discussed. We have received information about it and have referred it to the FBI to consider whether or not it meets the criteria for which we could take action on,” Lynch said at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Justice Department operations.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) raised the issue, drawing a comparison between possible civil action against climate change deniers and civil action that the Clinton administration pursued against the tobacco industry for claiming that the science behind the dangers of tobacco was unsettled.

“The similarities between the mischief of the tobacco industry pretending that the science of tobacco’s dangers was unsettled and the fossil fuel industry pretending that the science of carbon emissions’ dangers is unsettled has been remarked on widely, particularly by those who study the climate denial apparatus that the fossil fuel industry has erected,” Whitehouse said.

“Under President Clinton, the Department of Justice brought and won a civil RICO action against the tobacco industry for its fraud. Under President Obama, the Department of Justice has done nothing so far about the climate denial scheme,” Whitehouse added. Come Get Me, Loretta

During her confirmation hearing in January, Attorney General Loretta Lynch declared that every illegal alien has “the right and the obligation to work” in this country.

Lynch displayed a callous arrogance for the most foundational principle of law enforcement, the sovereignty of this country and the protection of the American citizens. She completely disregarded federal law (8 U.S.C. § 1225), which requires ICE to place aliens who are not “clearly and beyond a doubt entitled to be admitted” to the United States into removal proceedings. It is therefore not surprising that she has recently expressed antipathy to our sacred First Amendment right to free speech.

While refusing to call San Bernardino an Islamic terror attack, Lynch promised radical supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood last week that she would bring legal action against “anti-Muslim rhetoric” that “edges toward violence.” Much like her European counterparts, Lynch is more committed to cracking down on those who express concern about the growing Islamic supremacism in this country than cracking down on the Islamic supremacists themselves, some of whom were in the very audience she addressed that night.

Well, Ms. Lynch, as someone who has been raising concerns about the growing Islamic immigration and the anti-American and anti-Semitic culture that has become ubiquitous throughout our country, you are welcome to investigate me. Come get me, Loretta!

It is downright appalling that Lynch would contrive a false narrative about a trend of hate crimes against Muslims when the reality is that Jews are the ones who are victims of the most hate crimes (whatever a hate crime means). According to the most recent FBI data, 56.8% of anti-religious hate crimes in 2014 were perpetrated against Jews, whereas Muslims accounted for just 16.1% of hate crime victims. In fact, the rate of hate crimes against Muslims in the U.S. has not increased one iota since 9/11, despite the rampant growth of Islamic terror attacks.

For Lynch to never utter a word about hate crimes against Jews yet focus on Muslims is transparently tendentious behavior on the part of the chief law enforcement officer.

And, speaking of anti-Jewish sentiment, what is behind the growing Jew hatred in the world and in America?

Last week, the Chief Rabbi of Brussels declared that there is no future for Jews in Europe. Why is that so? Undoubtedly, it is because of the suicidal immigration policies that have led to the Islamic takeover of so many European cities. Jews can no longer live safely in areas that are overrun by large Muslim populations.

America has always stood as the lone beacon of freedom, tolerance, and promise for Jews. It has stood out as the one country that is decisively and sentimentally supportive of Israel, even as the rest of the western world surreptitiously schemes against its survival. Yet, with the record Islamic immigration, that support is beginning to change, most evident on college campuses, which have become saturated with Muslim foreign students.

What is so revealing about the San Bernardino incident is not just the Islamo-Nazi views of the perpetrator, Syed Farook, but the views of his family.

In an interview with the Italian daily La Stampa, Farook’s father said that his son was “obsessed” with his hatred for Jews and Israel. So what did Papa Farook think about this?

“I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist any more. Geopolitics is changing: Russia, China and America don’t want Jews there any more. They are going to bring the Jews back to Ukraine. What is the point of fighting? We have already done it and we lost. Israel is not to be fought with weapons, but with politics.”

This is the type of mentality, culture, and political values we are importing to our shores through mass immigration from the Middle East. We are following in the footsteps of Europe. And remember, Papa Farook was one of the earlier Muslim immigrants and came of age before the internet and cyber jihad, and at a time when there were few Muslims in America. One can only imagine the political values of a large number of recent immigrants from the Middle East who have come here at a clip of over 100,000 per year.

What about Farook’s mother? The Daily Caller is reporting that she is a member of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an Islamic supremacist group that follows the teachings of Maulana Mawdudi and the Jamaat Al-Islami of Pakistan. Maulana has said that Jews will be exterminated in the end of days.

At the beginning of the Revolutionary War, Sam Adams spoke before a large audience at the State House in Philadelphia urging them to fight for freedom. He predicted that “our contest is not only whether we ourselves shall be free, but whether there shall be left to mankind an asylum on earth for civil and religious liberty.”

While this rings true today for all Americans, the notion of America as the last remaining “asylum on earth for civil and religious liberty” is perhaps more poignant for Jews than for anyone else. As America faces the existential threat of Islamic fascism, all our religious and civil liberties are threatened by the importation of Sharia and its virulently anti-Jewish intolerance.

So go ahead, Ms. Lynch. Come after the millions of patriotic Americans who stand for religious liberty and will fight until the bitter end to ensure America doesn’t become as unhospitable to Jews as Europe.

We’re waiting for you. (For more from the author of “Come Get Me, Loretta” please click HERE)

Scandal-Ridden Loretta Lynch Clears Committee With Three GOP Votes

By Seung Min Kim. Loretta Lynch cleared a key vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday in her bid to become the nation’s next attorney general, picking up support from three Republicans on the panel in favor of her confirmation.

The vote was 12-8. The three Republicans who backed her nomination, along with all committee Democrats, were Orrin Hatch of Utah, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jeff Flake of Arizona.

The next battle is on the Senate floor, where the federal prosecutor from Brooklyn is still expected to have enough GOP backing to be confirmed. But the controversy over President Barack Obama’s executive actions on immigration have overshadowed her nomination — particularly after her confirmation hearing last month, where she testified that those unilateral moves are legal.

Most GOP senators on the committee stressed that they could not support someone to be the nation’s chief law enforcement official who believes that the executive actions — which Republicans uniformly oppose and say are unconstitutional — are legal. Loretta Lynch’s Secret Prosecutions

By Johnny Dwyer. The office headed by the woman poised to become the next attorney general has used an unusual method to keep many of its prosecutions hidden from the public, an NBC News investigation has found.

Federal prosecutors in New York’s Brooklyn-based Eastern District pursued cases against secret, unnamed “John Doe” defendants 58 times since Loretta Lynch became head prosecutor in May 2010. Two of the 58 are terrorism cases.

Eastern District prosecutors have also sought permission to close the courtroom to the public for 11 different Doe cases during the same period, and judges have granted permission in at least 10 of the cases, as recently as February 12.

Critics are concerned the practice may infringe the Constitution’s guarantee of a public trial. (Read more from this story HERE)

Obama’s Attorney General Nominee in Boiling Water Over Banking Scandal

Her nomination is stalled, caught up in a deepening investigation in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The woman President Obama wants to replace outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder as the nation’s top law enforcement officer could be facing legal troubles herself, the kind that might derail her hopes to head the Justice Department.

According to a lengthy and detailed report by Jerome Corsi at WND, Loretta Lynch is now being investigated by the very senate committee considering her nomination to become one of the most powerful officials in the Obama administration.

Listen to Dr. Corsi’s interview about the scandal on The Joe Miller Show:

At the heart of this reported Senate probe are allegations of money laundering by international banking giant HSBC and the role that Lynch, as a U.S. attorney in New York, may have played in the Obama administration’s decision not to prosecute HSBC and certain of its top officials.

The exclusive WND report states that the Senate Judiciary Committee has been working with a whistleblower, a former HSBC vice president, who is providing critical information about the financial institution’s alleged laundering of funds for Mexican drug cartels and Middle Eastern terrorists.

The staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee focused Wednesday on Cruz’s allegations, first reported by WND Feb. 6, that Lynch, acting then in her capacity as the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, engaged in a Department of Justice cover-up . . .

Ironically, when he nominated Lynch for the Justice post, President Obama praised her for prosecuting “drug lords and terrorists.” Now, claims the WND exclusive, Lynch could find herself in boiling hot water for not prosecuting powerful bankers allegedly involved with drug lords and terrorists. Obama’s Extremist Attorney General Nominee Says Illegal Aliens Have the Right to Work in the U.S.

Photo Credit: BreitbartOn Thursday, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) announced that he would vote against the nomination of Loretta Lynch for attorney general based on her statement that she supported President Obama’s executive amnesty.

Sessions explained:

Unfortunately, when asked today whether she found the President’s actions to be ‘legal and constitutional,’ Ms. Lynch said that she did. I therefore am unable to support her nomination. My concerns are furthered by Ms. Lynch’s unambiguous declaration that ‘the right and the obligation to work is one that’s shared by everyone in this country regardless of how they came here.’

Unfortunately, many other Republicans did not share Sessions’ sentiments, tossing softball questions at Lynch throughout her confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, Lynch demurred from answering over and over again, abiding by the new rule that nominees must avoid giving honest answers lest they be held accountable for those answers.

For example, when queried about the legal difference between the case for same-sex marriage and the case for polygamy by Senator Lindsey Graham, Lynch simply refused to answer. “Senator,” she said, “I have not been involved in the argument or the analysis of the cases that have gone before the Supreme Court. So I’m not comfortable undertaking legal analysis without having had the ability to undertake a review of the relevant facts and the precedent there. So I certainly would not be able to provide you with that analysis at this point, but I look forward to continuing the discussions with you.” Right.
