Zuckerberg Admits Facebook Killed Hunter Biden Laptop Story After FBI ‘Warned’ of ‘Russian Disinformation’, Biden Admin ‘Pressured’ Platform to Censor Americans; Billionaire Says He Regrets Caving to White House Pressure on Content

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook killed the Hunter Biden laptop story after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) “warned” of a “potential Russian disinformation operation,” and acknowledged that it “shouldn’t have demoted the story.”

In a letter to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg wrote that after being warned by the FBI about a possible “Russian disinformation operation” regarding President Joe Biden’s family, Facebook went on to kill an article from the New York Post.

In response to the article about “corruption allegations” about the Biden family, Facebook “sent that story to fact-checkers” and had it “temporarily demoted.”

“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” Zuckerberg added. “We’ve changed our policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again — for instance, we no longer temporarily demote things in the U.S. while waiting for fact-checkers.”

Zuckerberg’s admission comes after Breitbart News Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris has previously testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government that the FBI had knowledge that the Hunter Biden laptop was real prior to December 2019, long before she had published a story about it in October 2020.

Zuckerberg Says He Regrets Caving to White House Pressure on Content

By Politico. Mark Zuckerberg says he regrets that Meta bowed to Biden administration pressure to censor content, saying in a letter that the interference was “wrong” and he plans to push back if it happens again.

Meta’s CEO aired his grievances in a letter Monday to the House Judiciary Committee in response to its investigation into content moderation on online platforms. Zuckerberg detailed how senior administration officials leaned on the company to censor certain posts about Covid-19, including humor and satire, and “expressed a lot of frustration” when the social media platform resisted.

“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” Zuckerberg wrote. “I feel strongly that we should not compromise our content standards due to pressure from any Administration in either direction — and we’re ready to push back if something like this happens again.” (Read more from “Zuckerberg Says He Regrets Caving to White House Pressure on Content” HERE)

Mark Zuckerberg Says Trump With Fist in Air After Getting Shot is ‘One of the Most Bada** Things I’ve Ever Seen in My Life’

Mark Zuckerberg said seeing former President Donald Trump with his fist in the air after getting shot during last weekend’s assassination attempt was “one of the most bada** things I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Zuckerberg — CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook — revealed his reaction during an interview Thursday at his company’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California, Bloomberg reported.

“Now look, I mean there’s obviously a lot of crazy stuff going on in the world,” Zuckerberg told Emily Chang of “The Circuit,” which is part of Bloomberg Originals, before shifting to the attempt on Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday.

“And I mean, on a personal note … seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag [in the background] is one of the most bada** things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg said with an incredulous laugh.

Zuckerberg added that “on some level, as an American, it’s … hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy.” (Read more from “Mark Zuckerberg Says Trump With Fist in Air After Getting Shot is ‘One of the Most Bada** Things I’ve Ever Seen in My Life'” HERE)

Mark Zuckerberg Spent $43M on Security, but Gives Millions to ‘Defund Police’ Groups

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t practice what he preaches when it comes to public safety.

The tech tycoon’s company has spent more than $40 million on Zuckerberg’s personal security over the past three years — while at the same time his family-run foundation has donated millions of dollars to groups that want to defund or even abolish the police.

Since 2020, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) has donated $3 million to PolicyLink, the organization behind DefundPolice.org, according to investigative reporter Lee Fang.

The anti-cop group boasts on its website that its funds efforts to “diminish the role of policing in communities, and empower alternative visions for public safety,” though it fails to list what those substitutes may be.

CZI, which Zuckerberg founded with wife Priscilla Chan, has also donated more than $2.5 million to Solidaire, Fang reported, which seeks to do away with policing. (Read more from “Mark Zuckerberg Spent $43M on Security, but Gives Millions to ‘Defund Police’ Groups” HERE)

Zuckerberg’s Admission Of FBI Meddling In 2020 Election Is Even Bigger Than It Seems

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s admission last week that the FBI pushed the social media giant to censor Russian misinformation — and thus the Hunter Biden laptop story, as that’s how the agency and Democrats characterized it — shortly before the November 2020 election is but a breadcrumb of a bigger scandal: the widespread interference by the FBI in the 2020 presidential election with the potential that the bureau coordinated its efforts with the Biden campaign.

When asked during a Thursday podcast with Joe Rogan how Facebook handles controversial news, such as the Hunter Biden laptop story, Zuckerberg stopped his host to provide a backdrop to Facebook’s decision to decrease distribution of the scandal. . .

First, it is implausible to believe Facebook is the only Big Tech company contacted by the FBI with a warning about Russian disinformation and the bureau’s expectation being that tech executives would then censor the Biden scandal. Rather, it is only reasonable to believe the FBI issued similar false warnings to Twitter and other outlets.

And while Facebook only limited distribution, Twitter completely censored the story, preventing it from being shared at all on the platform. Twitter also temporarily locked Trump’s campaign account to prevent the then-president from sharing the laptop story and suspended the New York Post’s account. . .

A second component to the scandal concerns the FBI’s interactions (or lack thereof) with the Biden campaign. According to John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the Delaware laptop repair shop where Hunter Biden abandoned his laptop in mid-2019, the former’s father approached the FBI on October 8, 2019, on his behalf to alert the FBI to the laptop’s existence. During that meeting, Isaac’s father claimed he told the agent there was pornography on the laptop as well as information about “dealing with foreign interests, a pay-for-play scheme linked to the former administration, lots of foreign money.” (Read more from “Zuckerberg’s Admission Of FBI Meddling In 2020 Election Is Even Bigger Than It Seems” HERE)

Trump Demands ‘Rightful’ 2020 Winner Declared or New Vote After FBI-Facebook Biden Laptop Cover-up; Top FBI Agent Resigns Amid Claims He Shielded Biden From Probe: Report

By New York Post. Donald Trump says the “rightful winner” of the 2020 presidential race should be declared or a new election held in the wake of revelations from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg that the FBI tried to suppress The Post’s scoop about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.

“So now it comes out, conclusively, that the FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY BEFORE THE ELECTION knowing that, if they didn’t, ’Trump would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election,’” the former president said Monday on his Truth Social media platform.

“This is massive FRAUD & ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before in our Country. REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!,” the 45th president said.

Zuckerberg made the stunning admission last week during an interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us — some folks on our team — and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert,’” Zuckerberg told the podcaster. Top FBI Agent Resigns Amid Claims He Shielded Hunter Biden From Probe: Report

By New York Post. A top FBI agent at the Washington field office reportedly resigned from his post last week after facing intense scrutiny over allegations he helped shield Hunter Biden from criminal investigations into his laptop and business dealings.

Timothy Thibault, an FBI assistant special agent in charge, was allegedly forced out after he was accused of political bias in his handling of probes involving President Biden’s son, sources told the Washington Times on Monday.

The agent was escorted out of the field office by at least two “headquarters-looking types” last Friday, the sources said.

Thibault and the FBI didn’t immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on Monday.

Thibault, a 25-year-veteran, had already been on leave for a month after the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), started raising concerns about whistleblower claims the FBI had obstructed its own investigations into the first son. Left a ‘Mark’: FBI Responds to Claim Agency’s Warning Led to FB Limiting Hunter Laptop Story

An appearance by Mark Zuckerberg on Joe Rogan’s podcast last week stoked controversy after the Meta CEO admitted that Facebook limited the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election because the FBI had warned about “Russian propaganda.”

After the release of the episode on Thursday, the FBI said it “routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, of potential threat information, so that they can decide how to better defend against threats.”

In a statement released to FOX Business, the agency said it has provided companies with “foreign threat indicators to help them protect their platforms and customers from abuse by foreign malign influence actors.”

“The FBI will continue to work closely with federal, state, local, and private sector partners to keep the public informed of potential threats, but the FBI cannot ask, or direct, companies to take action on information received,” the agency said.

Meta said later Friday night that nothing about the Hunter Biden laptop story was new.

Trump Spy Chief ‘Surprised’ by Zuckerberg’s FBI Story

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe says Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg surprised him with his version of events concerning an FBI warning about Russian disinformation that preceded Facebook throttling the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.

The Trump-era spy chief insisted to Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Friday that FBI Director Christopher Wray gave him a different impression at the time and suggested the bureau’s actions amounted to election interference.

“I was actually surprised to hear Mark Zuckerberg say that, because what he related the FBI told him was exactly the opposite of what my conversations with the FBI director himself at the time were about,” Ratcliffe said.

Facebook took action to limit the spread of reporting on the laptop believed to have belonged to the son of President Joe Biden on the eve of the election after the FBI alerted the social media giant of Russian propaganda, Zuckerberg said in an interview with podcast host Joe Rogan released Thursday. Although Zuckerberg did not say the FBI’s warning was about the laptop in particular, his comments sparked outrage among Republicans, with some lawmakers saying they want Zuckerberg to come before Congress as they raise concerns about whether his Big Tech company “colluded” with the FBI. The bureau defended its actions. (Read more from “Trump Spy Chief ‘Surprised’ by Zuckerberg’s FBI Story” HERE)

Special Counsel Finds Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Money Violated State’s Bribery Laws

Nearly $9 million in Zuckerberg grant funds directed solely to five Democratic strongholds in Wisconsin violated the state’s election code’s prohibition on bribery. That conclusion represents but one of the many troubling findings detailed in the report submitted today by a state-appointed special counsel to the Wisconsin Assembly.

Last August, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos authorized the Office of Special Counsel, headed by retired state Supreme Court justice Michael Gableman, to investigate concerns about election integrity and the 2020 election. Gableman delivered an interim report to the state assembly on November 10, 2021. Earlier today, the special counsel provided a second interim report to the state legislative body, noting the report “is final in the sense that it provides a list of recommendations with time for the Legislature to act before the close of its session in March.”

While the special counsel’s nearly 150-page report closed with recommendations for the state’s legislative body, Gableman stressed from the get-go that the report did not seek to re-analyze the re-count that occurred in late 2020. Nor was the report’s purpose to challenge certification of the presidential election. Rather, the report represented a small step toward fulfilling “the duty of all citizens of our State and our nation to work hard to secure our democracy for this generation and the next,” the special counsel explained.

From the details exposed in Monday’s special counsel report, the state legislature has much work to do to address “the numerous questionable and unlawful actions of various actors in the 2020 election.” The first unlawful action, according to the report, concerned the payment of grant funds to five Wisconsin counties that were used to facilitate voting. That arrangement, Gableman wrote, violated Wis. Stat. § 12.11, which prohibits election bribery by providing it is illegal to offer anything of value to or for any person in order to induce any elector to go to the polls or vote.

According to the report, Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg providing financing that allowed the Center for Tech and Civic Life to offer nearly $9 million in “Zuck Bucks” to Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha and Green Bay counties. In exchange, the “Zuckerberg 5,” as the report called the counties, in effect, operated Democratic get-out-the-vote efforts. Those grant funds then paid for illegal drop boxes to be placed in Democratic voting strongholds. Zuckerberg’s New Nickname for Meta Employees Sparks Mockery

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants his employees to call each other “Metamates” — and the new moniker is sparking widespread mockery, both inside and outside the company.

“Metamates” will replace “Facebookers” after the Silicon Valley-based owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp rebranded itself as Meta last fall, highlighting its emphasis on building a metaverse. . .

But Twitter commenters said the new nickname sounds like a dating app from the metaverse. Others quipped that it sounded too much like grade school.

“Metamates report to the Metatorium for a Metameeting,” one Twitter user wrote.

One Twitter user joked that they were eating “lunchables with my metamates.” (Read more from “Zuckerberg’s New Nickname for Meta Employees Sparks Mockery” HERE)
