Michelle Obama Attacks President Trump in DNC Speech

Former first lady Michelle Obama, in a measured but searing address Monday to close out Democrats’ opening convention night, accused President Trump’s White House of operating in “chaos” and without “empathy” as she urged voters to cast their ballots for Joe Biden like their lives depend on it.

In prerecorded remarks, Obama stressed the “awesome power of the presidency,” while saying the job “requires clear-headed judgment, a mastery of complex and competing issues, a moral compass and an ability to listen.”

She added: “Whenever we look to this White House for some leadership or consultation or any semblance of steadiness, what we get instead is chaos, division and a total and utter lack of empathy.” . . .

Trump campaign adviser Steve Cortes told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that they presented a “dystopian” picture of the country. And the unusual format, at the first-ever virtual political convention, also raised eyebrows as videos of musical performances and news-style segments hosted by Eva Longoria were interspersed with remarks from lawmakers.

But Michelle Obama, in an impassioned address, sought to tie the strings together, concluding Trump is “the wrong president for our country.” (Read more from “Michelle Obama Attacks President Trump in DNC Speech” HERE)

Biden Says He’d Pick Michelle Obama as Running Mate ‘in a Heartbeat’

By NBC News. Joe Biden, the apparent Democratic presidential nominee, had an update about his search for a vice presidential partner: He said he would choose Michelle Obama as his running mate “in a heartbeat.”

“She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends,” the former vice president told KDKA-TV of Pittsburgh.

Biden, however, said that he doesn’t think the former first lady would agree.

“I don’t think she has any desire to live in the White House again,” he said. (Read more from “Biden Says He’d Pick Michelle Obama as Running Mate ‘in a Heartbeat'” HERE)

How the Obamas Could Easily Win Eight More Years in the White House

As the president of the United States shelters in place with the White House press corps, and Joe Biden gibbers senselessly into the GoPro camera in his Delaware basement, this fall’s national election has been thrown into a cocked tricorn by the coronavirus. Many of Donald Trump’s retail-politicking strengths — the huge rallies, his command of crowds — have been neutralized, and while he still has control of the narrative from his bully pulpit in the West Wing, the national media remains dead set against him, and puts the worst possible spin on every word he speaks. . .

Still, as 2016 demonstrated, even when the fix is in, you never know. What the Democrats need in order to be sure of beating Trump is the perfect vice presidential candidate, one who will not only balance the ticket, push progressive causes, and check all the social-justice boxes but who will turn out the African-American vote in droves without Biden’s having to say a word or lift a finger. . .

So the choice is clear: Michelle Obama. Never mind that she has even less political experience than Hillary Clinton did when she ran for the White House, and has long said she disdains public office.

Currently, Michelle is in talks to possibly endorse Biden via a video and is said to be lending her name to a campaign fundraiser as early as next week, according to The Hill. “If she engages, God help Donald Trump, because she’s tough as nails and enormously popular,” former Democratic Party chairman of South Carolina Dick Harpootlian told the outlet. With her husband finally having endorsed Biden last week, the stage is now set. (Read more from “How the Obamas Could Easily Win Eight More Years in the White House” HERE)

Michelle Obama Takes Swipe at Single Fathers: America Under Trump Is Like ‘Living With Divorced Dad’

[Michelle Obama] took a swipe at President Donald Trump — and single dads — during an event in London on Sunday. Hawking her new book “Becoming,” she sat down with late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert at the O2 Arena, where she first bragged about how good things were when The Chosen One was in the White House.

“For anyone who had any problems with Barack Obama, let’s just think about what we were troubled by — there were never any indictments,” she said. . .

“We come from a broken family, we are a little unsettled,” Obama said. “Sometimes, you spend the weekend with divorced dad. That feels like fun but then you get sick. That is what America is going through. We are living with divorced dad.”

Interestingly, Barack Obama is the product of a broken family. His white mother and black father were married in 1961, six months before he was born, and split in 1964. His estranged father would visit him in Hawaii only once before he died in a car accident in 1982. His father’s absence was part of the driving force behind Obama’s memoir, “Dreams from My Father.”

He was also an advocate of fathers while president, even urging black men to stay in a family unit. “Fathers are our first teachers and coaches … they’re our mentors, our role models,” the president told a gathering of local students and their families in 2010. Fox Guest: Michelle Obama Got Smollett Charges Dropped, Here’s Why

A Wednesday Fox Business segment labeled Jussie Smollett’s exoneration a “travesty of justice” and sought to confirm conspiracy theories Michelle Obama called in “favors” to get his charges dropped by Cook County prosecutors.

Fox Business host Stuart Varney opened his Tuesday segment declaring “the influence and power of liberal elites” was on full display in Chicago this week as Illinois prosecutors waived 16 charges against the Empire star. Self-proclaimed libertarian and Sean Hannity correspondent Lawrence Jones III touted unfounded and baseless claims former First Lady Michelle Obama “made some phone calls” to have the charges dropped in order to distract Americans from the disclosure of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation into President Donald Trump.

Although Republican Senate House Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was behind the blocking of the full Mueller report, the Fox crew nonetheless accused Democrat politicians — and their wives — of corrupting Cook County prosecutors.

“We know that Michelle Obama’s chief of staff made some phone calls,” Jones said on Fox Business Wednesday. “I would also note that the reason why they released this now is because after the Trump investigation was concluded they knew during the news cycle this was the perfect time to release this.” The frequent Fox News guest cited Chicago Sun-Times, which reported Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney who formerly worked for Obama, had previously asked Cook County lead prosecutor Kim Foxx to coerce the Chicago Police Department into turning the investigation over to federal authorities.

Is This a Sign That Michelle Obama Will Run in 2020?

Former First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance Sunday night at the Grammy Awards, alongside female entertainers Jennifer Lopez, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lady Gaga, and Grammy Awards host, Alicia Keys.

NBC News reports that Obama, clad in a shimmering green jumpsuit, was greeted by a “25-second standing ovation as she spoke about the importance of music” to her life.

“From the Motown records I wore out on the South Side to the ‘Who Run the World’ songs that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story, and I know that’s true for everybody here,” Obama told the audience. “Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves, our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys. It allows us to hear one another, to invite each other in. Music shows us that all of it matters. Every story within every voice, every note within every song. Is that right, ladies?” . . .

Michelle Obama has been on something of a world publicity tour of late, after publishing her landmark book, “Becoming,” which quickly became an international bestseller. The former First Lady has also embarked on a multi-city arena book tour, sold out almost everywhere, dwarfing other authors on her imprint, and largely embarrassing her competitors — notably, Bill and Hillary Clinton who have all but canceled their joint book tour.

The PR full court press has left many wondering if Michelle Obama is being groomed for a future in national politics, particularly whether Michelle will run for president in either 2020 or 2024. (Read more from “Is This a Sign That Michelle Obama Will Run in 2020?” HERE)

Is Michelle Obama Plotting to Take the White House in 2020?

By Townhall. Recently, the mainstream media gleefully reported something that many at first dismissed, quickly passing it off as nothing more than a transient morsel of cultural trivia, if not fake news.

Allegedly, a recent Gallup Poll not only bestowed upon Michelle Obama the honor of being The Most Admired Woman in 2018,but also thereby declared her to be more popular than Hillary and Oprah!

I would suggest this news might represent an ominous bellwether of measurable import to all of us who are hoping to see President Trump elected to a second term.

In politics, 2020 is but a blink away, and who will be anointed by the Democrats to challenge President Trump is being decided right now. And I promise you, they are considering Michelle Obama a possibility.

Back in May 2016, I published an op-ed entitled: Overlooking the Obvious, if Hillary is Indicted? In that editorial, I attempted to alert people in the late spring of that election year to the possibility that —in the event Hillary Clinton was indicted for the felonies she committed in connection with her infamous private email server— Michelle Obama stood an excellent chance of becoming the candidate who would be chosen by the DNC to replace Hillary at their National Convention in July. Dispute Between Michelle Obama and Donald Trump Shows Our Need to Forgive

Former first lady Michelle Obama wrote in her new book that she will never forgive Donald Trump for questioning Obama’s birth certificate. . .

When told about Obama’s comments, Donald Trump hit back by saying that he’d never forgive President Obama for his handling of the U.S. military. . .

For all of his strong rhetoric, Trump seemed to understand why such language is of another kind when he took on Hillary Clinton for her claim that Trump supporters were “deplorable” and “irredeemable.” Many people focused on the “basket of deplorables” comment, but in the second presidential debate of 2016 Trump said he thought the “irredeemable” language was worse:

We have a divided nation, because people like her — and believe me, she has tremendous hate in her heart. And when she said deplorables, she meant it. And when she said irredeemable, they’re irredeemable, you didn’t mention that, but when she said they’re irredeemable, to me that might have been even worse.

. . .

When we forgive one another — including for their grievous sins against us — it shows us that we truly believe God has forgiven us. The Catechism says, “Inasmuch as we sin greatly against God every day and yet He forgives it all through grace, we must always forgive our neighbor who does us harm, violence, and injustice [and] bears malice toward us…. If you do not forgive, do not think that God forgives you.”

Here’s What Is Making Michelle Obama Depressed and Frustrated

. . .The former first lady told the audience that she understood how many felt that there was not enough progress in politics, or worse, that the vote was “rigged” and not worth putting effort into.

“Is there any wonder why we’re so frustrated and tuned out of our politics?” she said. “When a huge chunk of the population sits out of the process, why are we surprised when our politics don’t reflect our values?” . . .

“I am tired of the daily chaos, the pettiness, the meanness that too often dominates the political discourse,” she continued.

“We all are,” she said. “It is exhausting and honestly it is depressing.”

Obama told the audience that they needed to vote because it was the “only” avenue open to them to have an effect on those on in power. She also said that if they didn’t vote that others who wanted to leave them behind would take power. (Read more from “Here’s What Is Making Michelle Obama Depressed and Frustrated” HERE)

Michelle Obama Makes Creepy Comparison to Trump, Says Barack Was the ‘Good Parent’ in White House

By Bizpac Review. Former first lady Michelle Obama took a few jabs at President Donald Trump on Thursday at the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston, even suggesting that her husband, Barack Obama, was the “good parent” in comparison to Trump.

“I think what we see is what happens when we take things for granted,” Obama told Simmons College President Helen Drinan, according to The Hill. “For the eight years Barack was president, it was like having the ‘good parent’ at home. The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”

“And now we have the other parent,” Obama continued, referencing President Trump. “We thought it’d feel fun, maybe it feels fun for now because we can eat candy all day and stay up late and not follow the rules.”

Obama’s seemingly innocous”parent” jabs echo the Democrats deep desire for a nanny state.

Like Hillary, Mrs. Obama blamed women for not being brave enough to vote for another woman. She also echoed Hillary Clinton’s Orwellian desire to “shape” children from the Oval Office in her comments about President Obama being a “parent.”

Michelle Obama: My Husband Was ‘the Good Parent’ Compared to Trump

By The Hill. Former first lady Michelle Obama likened her husband’s presidency to having “the good parent” at home at a women’s leadership conference on Thursday.

At the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston, Obama appeared to take shots at President Trump’s administration in remarks first reported by local TV station WBZ.

The Obama administration “was like having the ‘good parent’ at home,” the former first lady said. “The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”

“And now we have the other parent,” Obama added. “We thought it’d feel fun — maybe it feels fun for now because we can eat candy all day and stay up late and not follow the rules.”

During the wide-ranging discussion, Obama also offered praise for Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic nominee and the first woman to secure the nomination of a major U.S. political party. (Read more from “Michelle Obama: My Husband Was ‘the Good Parent’ Compared to Trump” HERE)
