Mike Johnson Unveils New Spending Bill With Bolstered Secret Service Funding

Speaker Mike Johnson introduced a short term spending bill on Sunday that includes $231 million of additional funding for the U.S. Secret Service.

Johnson’s new continuing resolution (CR), which will fund the government through Dec. 20, is set to be voted on less than a week before Friday’s fiscal deadline in order to avert a government shutdown. Johnson introduced the three month continuing resolution after his first funding bill, that included an attached bill requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration, failed a vote in the House on Wednesday.

“While this is not the solution any of us prefer, it is the most prudent path forward under the present circumstances,” Johnson said in a letter Sunday. “As history has taught and current polling affirms, shutting the government down less than 40 days from a fateful election would be an act of political malpractice.”

“From now until election day, I will continue with my tireless efforts and singular focus of growing our majority for the 119th Congress,” Johnson continued. “It is my great honor to serve with you all in these historic days. The future of our exceptional nation directly depends upon our success, and I am confident that together we will prevail!”

Johnson’s initial CR was scheduled for a vote the previous week on Sept. 11, but was abruptly pulled by the speaker that same day in order to “build consensus” within the party before he reintroduced the bill. Johnson’s six-month CR and attached SAVE Act was blocked by 14 Republicans, who mainly cited fiscal concerns, as well as 206 Democrats. We Finally Know Who Will Serve on the Trump Assassination Attempt Task Force

On Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) revealed which members will serve on the bipartisan task force to investigate the July 13 assassination attempt against former and potentially future President Donald Trump. Democrats had been taking their time to name their members.

Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman shared the names of members on Monday afternoon. His site’s morning newsletters have been tracking potential picks, and so these names on other side of the aisle aren’t exactly a surprise.

Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) will serve as the chairman of the task force while Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) will serve as the ranking member.

Speaker Mike Johnson Puts Kamala Harris’ Border Failures on Full Display

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made a surprise visit to the southern border as Vice President Kamala Harris’s failures as border czar are being highlighted as she seeks to secure the Democratic presidential nominee.

After touring the San Diego sector– one of the busiest parts of the U.S.-Mexico border– Johnson attacked Harris and President Joe Biden for blatantly ignoring the crisis that has resulted in tens of millions of illegal immigrants entering the United States.

“We’ve had a very interesting tour here at the San Diego sector. This has become, in many ways, the epicenter of the Biden-Harris border catastrophe,” Johnson said. “Now we’re very concerned in Congress that this illegal immigrant invasion is threatening even the integrity of our elections.”

In March 2021, Harris was tasked with solving the “root causes” of illegal immigration.

However, she abandoned her duties just as quickly as she was given them. (Read more from “Speaker Mike Johnson Puts Kamala Harris’ Border Failures on Full Display” HERE)

Top Mike Johnson Communications Staffer to Depart, Continuing Senior Staff Exodus

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is losing another senior staffer, continuing a troubling senior staff exodus in the Speaker’s office.

Raj Shah, Speaker Johnson’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications, is leaving the Speaker’s office soon, multiple sources told Breitbart News. It was confirmed by Axios Tuesday night after Breitbart News alerted Johnson’s office of an imminent story.

Shah was one of Johnson’s first hires after ascending to the speakership. Shah has been the Speaker’s key messaging staffer since being hired in October, assembling the Speaker’s extensive communications staff largely from scratch.

When confronted late Tuesday evening and told by Breitbart News that this report was forthcoming, Shah did not deny his intent to resign from Johnson’s office but instead asked Breitbart to hold the story. Breitbart declined his request. . .

“Because of the unprecedented circumstances under which I became Speaker, I needed an experienced leader with talent and gravitas to build and drive our message,” Johnson told Axios. “I am grateful Raj agreed to step up and serve. He has become a trusted advisor and built an incredible communications team. Raj has fulfilled his commitment to us and I wish him continued success.” (Read more from “Top Mike Johnson Communications Staffer to Depart, Continuing Senior Staff Exodus” HERE)

Democrats Save Johnson: 163 Votes to Continue Johnson’s Coalition Government

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) officially owes his gavel to Democrats.

An overwhelming 163 Democrats chose to continue Mike Johnson’s coalition government with the essential co-Speaker Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), voting to table a motion from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) to strip Johnson of his gavel.

The historic 359 to 43 vote likely cements Johnson’s speakership – for now.

The final tally included seven Democrats voting present and eleven not voting, along with ten Republicans who did not vote.

Ultimately, only 32 Democrats proved unhappy enough with Johnson’s stewardship of the House to vote to enable Greene’s gavel-stripping resolution to move forward. (Read more from “Democrats Save Johnson: 163 Votes to Continue Johnson’s Coalition Government” HERE)

Protesters Heckle Mike Johnson During Speech at Columbia University (VIDEO)

Students at Columbia University heckled Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) during his speech on Wednesday, addressing the rise of antisemitism on college and university campuses in the past week.

As Johnson began his speech at Columbia University, the crowd could be heard booing.

“We are standing here right now on the steps of the Low Library. In this very building right behind us, Columbia University once awarded Winston Churchill an honorary degree,” Johnson said. “And, it was Churchill who said, ‘It is manifestly right that Jews should have a national home where they may be reunited.’ We believe in that principle. And, today, I’m here to proclaim, to all those who gnash their teeth and demand to wipe the state of Israel off the map and attack our innocent Jewish students, this simple truth: neither Israel nor these Jewish students on this campus will ever stand alone.”

Video footage posted to X showed Columbia University students in the crowd shouting, “Get the f**k off our campus!” as Johnson was speaking.

Scott Adams Explains in Layman Terms How the CIA ‘Captures’ Our Lawmakers Right Under Our Noses…

What the heck happened to Speaker Mike Johnson? When he first emerged as the speaker after McCarthy was ousted, he was hailed as a “MAGA” hero. Many thought we finally had someone at the helm who truly had our best interests at heart. Boy, were we wrong.

In a shockingly short period of time, Speaker Johnson went from a MAGA hopeful to a Deep State stooge. This drastic change has many people asking: Was he always a snake in the grass, or did they manage to blackmail him into becoming their dutiful little puppet? Well, it’s likely a very complex issue with many layers, but one thing seems clear: Speaker Johnson likely fell victim to a very coordinated CIA plot. This strategy is often used against our government officials to ensure they toe the line with the uni-party regime. The more we uncover and discuss, the more we realize just how deep these tactics go into manipulating our leaders. The good news is that this topic is gaining traction, with influential voices like conservative cartoonist legend Scott Adams chiming in. We appreciate how Scott Adams has brilliantly managed to break down what the CIA is doing into simple layman’s terms. It’s refreshing and enlightening to have such complex issues made accessible and understandable for everyone quickly. Scott took to X and, in just about five sentences, he summed up decades of CIA covert operations against our lawmakers and the American people.

Scott Adams:

If I correctly understand our system of government, when a president or leader in the Congress gets into office, someone in the CIA pulls them aside for “the talk” and completely changes their priorities.

The public is then told the leaders now have secret knowledge the public can never know.

But the leader has no way of knowing the “secret” information is true and in context.

That puts the secret-keepers in firm control of the government’s big decisions. If the secret-keepers agree with a government policy, they stay out of it. If they disagree with a policy, they say the UFOs will attack — or some other unverifiable thing — and by the way, we have recordings of every phone call you ever made, and scare the leaders into compliance.

Right in front of us. None of this is secret.

Betrayal Complete: Mike Johnson Teams With Dems, Violates House Rule to Pass $61B Ukraine Aid

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) delivered President Joe Biden a $61 billion gift on Saturday afternoon, reversing his months-long pledge to never advance foreign aid without first securing America’s border.

Multiple Democrats — and possibly a few Republicans — cheered; shouted, “Ukraine;” and waived Ukrainian flags as the Ukraine aid vote closed.

“It is in violation of decorum to waive flags on the floor,” Johnson scored Democrats.

The Ukraine portion of the foreign aid passed 311 to 112. One representative, Republican Dan Mauser (R-PA), voted present.

Johnson, once again, violated the Hastert Rule. Only 101 Republicans voted with Johnson, while 112 — a clear majority — opposed. (Read more from “Betrayal Complete: Mike Johnson Teams With Dems, Violates House Rule to Pass $61B Ukraine Aid” HERE)

Inside Mike Johnson’s Policy Shift: Lobbyist Influence and Controversial Staffing Raise Questions on Ukraine Aid

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s stance on Ukraine aid has come under scrutiny with revelations about his top policy adviser, Dan Ziegler, and the interests of his former lobbying clients. Ziegler, who transitioned from lobbying to serving as Johnson’s policy director, previously worked with the firm Williams & Jensen, where his client roster included companies with significant stakes in issues related to the Ukraine conflict, Breitbart News has revealed.

Among Ziegler’s former clients are major corporations that have publicly addressed the implications of the war in Ukraine on their business operations. This connection raises questions about the influence of corporate interests on Johnson’s policy decisions, particularly regarding foreign aid packages related to Ukraine.

One notable client of Ziegler’s former firm is the News Media Alliance, which advocated for legislative proposals that some critics argue could harm conservative media outlets. This association underscores concerns about the potential influence of special interest groups on Johnson’s agenda.

The composition of Johnson’s inner circle has raised additional concerns, with reports indicating troubling backgrounds among several of his staffers.

The timing of Johnson’s pivot on Ukraine aid further highlights the significance of his staffing decisions. Despite previous opposition to substantial funding for Ukraine, Johnson’s support for a multi-billion-dollar aid package aligns with the recommendations of his top advisers, including Ziegler and National Security Adviser Josh Hodges.

Johnson’s shift in position reflects a departure from his previous commitments to conservative principles, particularly regarding fiscal responsibility and national security. Johnson is prioritizing foreign interests over domestic concerns, pointing to his advocacy for aid packages that they argue neglect crucial issues such as border security.

Johnson’s approach to Ukraine aid has sparked backlash from within his own party, with prominent Republicans condemning his alignment with President Joe Biden’s agenda. Calls for Johnson’s resignation underscore broader divisions within the GOP, as conservatives express frustration with what they perceive as a departure from core conservative values.

House Dissatisfaction With Johnson Explodes Over Foreign Aid ‘Insanity’ That Neglects Southern Border

House Republicans’ dissatisfaction with Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is rapidly growing as Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA) and Jim Banks (R-IN) are sharing their frustrations about what Banks called “insanity” in Johnson’s foreign aid framework, which includes over three times as much money for Ukraine as it does for Israel while neglecting the U.S. Southern border.

Perry took to X Tuesday to share an image of the framework, showing the bills allocate $48.83 billion to Ukraine, $14.1 billion for Israel, $2.4 billion for “Red Sea Operations,” $2.58 billion for “INDOPACOM,” and $3.3 billion for a “Submarine Industrial Base.”

“Notice anything missing?” wrote Perry. Speaker Johnson “failed to incorporate any border security into any of the FOUR of the bills he’s going to ram down our throats this week.”

“On more than half a dozen occasions in the last six months, he promised the American People this wouldn’t happen,” Perry added.

Sharing Perry’s tweet, Banks called the package “Insanity,” emphasizing the plan would send three times as much money to Ukraine as it does Israel while simultaneously neglecting the U.S. Southern border.
