Mom Who Killed Her 3 Children Used Fake Doctor’s Note to Get Them out of School

The Michigan mother who shot her three daughters in the woods last Monday before killing herself in her boyfriend’s driveway used a fake doctor’s appointment to get her three daughters out of school and alone with her, investigators revealed.

Aubrianne Moore, 28, showed up at the children’s school in the middle of the day to pick up her daughters Alaina Rau, 2, Cassidy Rodery, 6, and Kyrie Rodery, 8, Kent County Sheriff’s Office detectives said. They added that her “doctor’s note” that she gave to school administrators was fake.

The mother’s former social worker had warned about her behavior last September in a petition to the Newaygo County Probate Court. She wrote of the need to have Moore committed to a mental hospital.

“Aubrianne is keeping her kids home from school because the television told her there would be a school bus accident today,” the social worker wrote, as WYFF reported. “Aubrianne stays awake at night believing people will break into her home. Aubrianne is not eating believing food is being poisoned.” . . .

Investigators said Moore took her children to lunch before going to a wooded area behind a property that belonged to the children’s great grandparents. She then took the children one by one into the woods and shot them with a bolt-action hunting rifle before driving back to her boyfriend’s house and killing herself outside the vehicle, WOOD reported. D.C.’s Homicide Rate Soars in the Midst of National Decline

Zyair Bradley was 20 years old. He loved football and boxing, music, dancing and playing jokes on people. He had a job and “a million friends.” He was a son, a protective big brother and his mother’s “beautiful angel.” He was also one of 18 people to have been murdered in the District of Columbia just this month.

As homicides across the country’s most populated cities declined overall in 2018, Washington, D.C. saw an increase of almost 42 percent in its murder rate, which experts say will continue to trend upwards in 2019. The D.C. Chief of Police warned that easing penalties would make the District less safe.

“Repeat offenders who have committed gun crimes will be back on the street sooner,” wrote Chief Peter Newsham in an editorial that ran in The Washington Post last summer. “Less-stringent penalties embolden criminals, demoralize law enforcement and enable violent offenders to return more quickly to terrorizing the very communities who are calling out to the government for help.” . . .

The Brennan Center for Justice reported 116 homicides in the District in 2017 and 165 in 2018. In other cities like Baltimore, Detroit and Chicago, homicides fell.

Robert Contee, the assistant chief of the Investigative Services Bureau at the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington, D.C., pointed to a few central issues at the heart of the homicide spike. (Read more from “D.C.’s Homicide Rate Soars in the Midst of National Decline” HERE)

Investigation Into Drive-By Shooting of Child Takes a ‘New Direction’

Investigators are now calling the shooting of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes a case of mistaken identity after witnesses believed a white man in a red pickup truck was responsible for her Dec. 30 murder, but officials said Sunday that two different men have been taken into custody and one has been charged with capital murder.

Barnes was killed while sitting in the backseat of her mother’s car with her three sisters as they drove out of a Walmart parking lot in northeast Houston on Dec. 30. Her mother, LaPorsha Washington, was also shot when a car pulled up and began spraying bullets.

The case garnered national attention after Washington said she believed the case to be a hate crime after she and her family identified the shooter in the apparently random attack to be a white male. . .

Authorities originally reported the suspect to be a white man driving a red pickup truck based on accounts of the shooting from Barnes’s family, but the Harris County Sheriff’s Office tweeted late Saturday that the investigation had “taken a new direction.”

Homicide investigators subsequently filed a capital murder charge against Eric Black Jr., 20, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office, who had been identified as a suspect based on a tip. He later admitted to taking part in the shooting.

‪I’ll go ahead and state the obvious. 24 y/o Larry Woodruffe doesn’t fit the description offered by the 4 different witness statements or composite sketch. Accordingly, this tip was difficult to believe. Assuming the confession elicited is reliable— it is possible the previously identified suspect seen fleeing by several independent witnesses was a bystanader attempting to escape the shooting. To observers, however, he appeared to be the shooter himself. ‬More information will have to be drawn out before there is a conviction. Nonetheless, the community is collectively responsible for obtaining evidence that has led to a credible arrest and we are closer to answers. That much is laudable.

6-Month-Old Baby Girl Found Alive, Floating in Pond After Father Says He Drowned Her

By The Blaze. A 6-month-old was miraculously discovered alive, floating face up in a Missouri pond on Monday, after her father walked into the Greenwood Police Department and confessed — so he thought — to drowning his baby girl.

Police rushed to rescue the infant, retrieved her from the water and were able to revive her after performing CPR. She had been in the water for an estimated 10 minutes or more and was found with mud in her eyes, and grass in her mouth.

Jonathon Zicarelli, 28, made his way to the department around 10 a.m., telling police that he had just drowned his daughter and that he saw her sink after placing her in the water, according to KSHB-TV.

Cpl. T. Calhoun and Police Chief Greg Hallgrimson leapt into action, sped to the location of the pond, and found the child floating on her back in the water. Hallgrimson said the infant wasn’t moving when they found her and that she looked like a porcelain doll.

Calhoun quickly performed CPR on the baby girl after pulling her from the water, and she began to breath normally. The officers removed her wet clothing and Calhoun wrapped her in his own uniform shirt in an attempt to warm the child, who was taken to a local hospital where she is recovering from severe hypothermia. Investigators said Zicarelli confessed he had been planning to kill his baby for over 24 hours. He said he parked his car and walked down to the pond three separate times, trying to determine if he could kill her. He said he put her in the water and watched her sink, then got in his car and left.

Satan-Worshiping Girls Planned to Kill Classmates, Drink Their Blood

Police say two middle school girls, who worship Satan, armed themselves with knives in a foiled plot to violently kill classmates and drink their blood at school on Tuesday.

The 6th and 7th-grade girls attend Bartow Middle School, police say. At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Bartow Police School Resource Officer assigned to the school was summoned to the principal’s office in reference to an armed juvenile complaint. . .

According to the Bartow Police Department, a student warned a teacher on Monday about one of the girl’s mentioning that “something bad” would happen in building 500 of the middle school. The superintendent said extra officers were at the school on Tuesday as a result of this warning. After one of the girl’s mother received a robo-call alerting her that her child was not in second period, she called the school to inform teachers that the child should be there.

Bartow Middle School staff immediately began to search the campus. They found the two girls in a bathroom. The girls were holding a goblet which an administrator suspected was being used to drink alcohol.

Once in the principal’s office, the girls were told to empty their pockets, which revealed a knife and knife sharpener. After that, their bags were searched, and several weapons including a pizza cutter and butcher knife were found on the girls. The two admitted to planning to kill students as they entered the bathroom. (Read more from “Satan-Worshiping Girls Planned to Kill Classmates, Drink Their Blood” HERE)

3 Arrested After Politician and His Wife Found Murdered in Home

Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of the mayor of a tiny North Carolina community and his wife.

The bodies of Leggett Mayor Gary Skelton and his wife, Jackie Skelton, were discovered Thursday after Jackie Skelton did not report to work, WRAL reported.

“We were able to solve this double-homicide in less than eight hours,” Edgecombe County Sheriff Cleveland “Clee” Atkinson said Friday, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The couple had been attacked in their home Wednesday night, WRAL reported, but authorities did not provide details about the attack or their investigation.

Two of the suspects were from Tarboro, a town about 7 miles from Leggett. The third was from Rocky Mount, about 15 miles from the murder scene.

Keith Earl Williams, 25, of Tarboro, was charged with first-degree murder. Williams had been released on parole from state prison on Aug. 28 where he was serving time after April 2017 convictions for possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon, the Observer reported.

On Friday evening, police announced that Mitchell Brinson, 18, of Tarboro, was also charged with first-degree murder.

The third arrest was announced Saturday. Police charged Dakeithia Nesha Andrews, 30, of Rocky Mount, with conspiring to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Observer.

Check out CBS 17 coverage here:

“The terror that they had to have felt, going through what they were going through, it’s unimaginable,” said Leggett Town Commissioner Teresa Summerlin told WRAL.

“It is unimaginable what they came home to last night, that’s what sickens me to my core, how they must have felt. It sickens me and they were the epitome of good people, they were awesomely good people.”

“They would have given them the shirt off their back,” Summerlin said, according to WNCN. “For this to happen in this small a community. The work that man has done for this community. People just don’t realize he has invested so many man hours.”

Michael Cloer of Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, who was the Skeltons’ pastor, said the couple moved to Leggett, population 55, to enjoy the quiet life, WTVD reported.

“They came here because they wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle,” Cloer said. “They bought a big home, remodeled it, they loved to entertain guests, they were just outgoing, friendly, community people.”

He said Skelton enjoyed the community he led.

“All these years I’ve known Gary, he has never mentioned that he was the mayor of any town. That’s not how he is,” Cloer said.

“He lived in the country, he loved Leggett, he loved the people there, he loved the simplicity of life. (For more from the author of “3 Arrested After Politician and His Wife Found Murdered in Home” please click HERE)

Alleged Cop Killer Should Have Been in Jail for Other Charges

Last week, Townhall reported the senseless killing of Weymouth, MA police officer Sgt. Michael Chesna on July 15th. More than 3,000 people attended a vigil held in Chesna’s honor this past week, but it turns out his alleged killer, Emanuel Lopes, should have been in jail due to violating the conditions of his bail on a drug-dealing charge from October 2017.

The Boston Herald reports that Emanuel Lopes was arrested in October 2017 for dealing cocaine to minors. As part of his bail conditions, Judge Jeanmarie Carroll required that Lopes refrain from all drugs, including legal medicinal marijuana, and be subjected to pre-trial probation drug testing. The bail was set at $500 and was supposed to be revoked if Lopes failed to comply. In February 2018, Lopes failed a drug test, but claimed that he had a medicinal marijuana card at a court appearance in April. But, Lopes’ prosecutors did not recommend bail revocation.

“I tested Mr. Lopes. He was positive for marijuana. He reports to me that he has a THC card,” probation officer Michael Walsh informed the court Assistant Norfolk District Attorney Arthur Czugh ultimately decided against recommending his bail be revoked.

Thus, Lopes was able to roam Weymouth freely. Three months later, he was pulled over by Sgt. Chesna for driving erratically. Lopes exited his vehicle and attacked Sgt. Chesna with rocks, knocking the officer to the ground. The suspect then allegedly stole the officer’s gun and fired at him, which led to the officer’s death. Authorities say that Lopes then shot and killed a nearby 77-year-old neighbor, Vera Adams, who witnessed the event from her porch.

But, Republican Gov. Charlie Baker defended the court’s decisions, saying, “As I understand this, this is a decision that ultimately belongs to the courts. Her decision was made within the bounds of the discretion that she has. For me the question is whether or not we’re doing enough to put enough tools in the toolbox for district attorneys to make decisions about dangerousness and to pursue hearings about dangerousness. That’s where the opportunity I believe rests. (Read more from “Alleged Cop Killer Should Have Been in Jail for Other Charges” HERE)

Men Linked to Mexican Drug Cartel Behead 13-Year-Old Special Needs Girl, Murder Grandmother

Two men loosely associated with a brutal Mexican cartel, one of whom is an illegal immigrant, are responsible for beheading a 13-year-old girl with special needs and murdering her grandmother, Alabama law enforcement allege. . .

Authorities say Yoni Aguilar and Israel Gonzalez Palomino murdered Oralia Mendoza and her granddaughter, Mariah Lopez, because they didn’t trust Mendoza after she exhibited suspicious activity during a recent drug running trip to a small town in northeast Atlanta.

Authorities say the group ran drugs for the Sinaloa Cartel, the largest organized crime syndicate in the world. Police say it was Mendoza who had deep connections to the cartel.

According to AL.com, authorities believe something went wrong during their trip, spurring Palomino to believe he was being setup. Upon returning to Huntsville, Palomino discovered Mendoza had removed the SIM card from her cellphone. He also discovered text messages to an unknown woman during the drug run. Police say Mendoza texted a woman asking her to secure Lopez, who was staying with Palomino’s wife, because she feared for their lives, WAAY-TV reported.

After discovering the messages, Aguilar and Palomino allegedly awoke Mendoza in the middle of the night on June 4. They told her they were taking her and Lopez to a safe location. (Read more from “Men Linked to Mexican Drug Cartel Behead 13-Year-Old Special Needs Girl, Murder Grandmother” HERE)
