Report: DOJ Appoints Prosecutor To Probe Adam Schiff, Letitia James Mortage Fraud Allegations

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has appointed a special prosecutor to investigate alleged mortgage fraud by Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and New York Attorney General Letitia James, several outlets reported Friday.

According to the New York Post, Bondi has tapped former acting U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. Ed Martin to spearhead “the prosecution of James and Schiff for potential mortgage fraud, bank fraud and wire fraud, which carry jail terms of up to 30 years.”

“Attorney General Bondi and President Trump have given me a very serious and mission,” Martin told the outlet. “For months DOJ and the FBI have been working on these two cases, it is my job to stick the landing.”

As The Federalist’s Beth Brelje previously reported, Schiff — a major Trump-Russia collusion hoaxer — was singled out by President Trump in a Truth Social post over allegations of mortgage fraud last month.

“Trump announced that Schiff had been investigated by Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes division, which found Schiff may have committed mortgage fraud for more than a decade after he refinanced one of his homes — the one in Maryland, not the one in California,” Brelje wrote. “According to Trump, from 2009 to 2020, Schiff allegedly declared the Maryland home his primary residence ‘to get a cheaper mortgage and to rip off America.’” (Read more from “Report: DOJ Appoints Prosecutor To Probe Adam Schiff, Letitia James Mortage Fraud Allegations” HERE)

Unreleased Epstein Files Include Logbooks for Private Island, Records Show

Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in February released what was then described as the “first phase of the declassified Epstein files.”

That initial release — which was delivered to a group of prominent right-leaning influencers and journalists — included 341 pages of documents related to the disgraced financier. But 118 pages of those files were duplicative of one another.

The vast majority of those documents were previously made public through the prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein’s former associate Ghislaine Maxwell or civil lawsuits, including flight logs from Epstein’s plane, a redacted version of Epstein’s so-called “black book” of contacts and a heavily redacted seven-page list of masseuses.

The only newly-released document in “phase one,” which received little public attention, was a three-page catalog of evidence that appears to be an accounting of evidence seized during the searches of Epstein’s properties in New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands after his arrest in 2019, and a search of his Palm Beach mansion a dozen years earlier.

That little-noticed index offers a roadmap to the remaining trove of records that President Donald Trump’s administration has declined to release, including logs of who potentially visited Epstein’s private island and the records of a wiretap of Maxwell’s phone. Trump Issues Lengthy Statement Defending Pam Bondi

President Donald Trump posted a lengthy statement Saturday on Truth Social defending former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and criticizing renewed public interest in Jeffrey Epstein-related documents.

Trump praised Bondi’s work and accused political opponents and some of his own allies of focusing too much attention on Epstein. “We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening,” Trump wrote, calling the current administration “PERFECT” and condemning what he called “selfish people” trying to undermine it.

Trump reiterated longstanding criticisms of figures from past Democratic administrations — including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and John Brennan — tying them to what he described as a fabricated dossier and “Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein.”

“If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?” he asked. (Read more from “Trump Issues Lengthy Statement Defending Pam Bondi” HERE)

Trump Admin Suspends DOJ Lawyer Over Failure to ‘Vigorously’ Argue Case of Deported Illegal Alien

Attorney General Pam Bondi made headlines by suspending a Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyer involved in the controversial deportation case of a Salvadoran illegal immigrant reportedly linked to the violent gang MS-13. Bondi’s actions highlight the critical need for more vigorous enforcement of immigration laws and the protection of American citizens from dangerous criminals slipping through the cracks.

Erez Reuveni, a long-time Department of Justice lawyer, has been suspended over his handling of a deportation case involving a Salvadoran national allegedly linked to MS-13. The individual was removed due to Reuveni’s failure to “zealously advocate” for the government’s position in the case. With nearly 15 years of service at the DOJ, Reuveni was recently promoted by the Trump administration to acting deputy director of the Office of Immigration Litigation.

“Our only arguments are jurisdictional. … He should not have been sent to El Salvador,” Reuveni said in court.

His suspension comes after a judge ordered the Trump administration to secure the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national living in Maryland who had been protected from removal in 2019. The administration has attributed his deportation to El Salvador to an “administrative error.”

However, Bondi argued that Garcia was an illegal alien who had no right to stay in the United Stats. (Read more from “Trump Admin Suspends DOJ Lawyer Over Failure to ‘Vigorously’ Argue Case of Deported Illegal Alien” HERE)

Bondi Says The Real ‘Constitutional Crisis’ Is Judicial Lawfare, Not Trump Exec Actions

On Sunday, Attorney General Pam Bondi rejected claims that President Donald Trump is causing a constitutional crisis with his second-term executive actions, which are facing numerous legal challenges.

“The president is going to comply with the law,” Bondi told Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream, who asked if there was any “scenario” in which Trump would not comply with an order or final judgment from the Supreme Court.

“Since January 20th, we’ve had over 170 lawsuits filed against us. That should be the constitutional crisis right there,” Bondi stated. “Fifty injunctions, they’re popping up every single day, trying to control his executive power, trying to control where he believes our tax dollars should be allocated.”

The interview began with a clip of Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, suggesting that a president clashing with the Supreme Court could trigger a constitutional crisis. Bream pointed out that some critics frequently use that phrase amid the surge of lawsuits against the Trump administration.

Bondi highlighted Trump’s 2024 election victory and his efforts to fulfill promises made on the campaign trail. (Read more from “Bondi Says The Real ‘Constitutional Crisis’ Is Judicial Lawfare, Not Trump Exec Actions” HERE)

Pam Bondi Threatens Prosecution Amid DOGE’s Findings About Fraud: ‘We’re Coming After You’

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stern warning to those engaged in government fraud at the most recent Cabinet meeting on Monday.

Speaking with President Donald Trump present at the meeting, Bondi thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk for uncovering “fraud, waste and abuse” through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.

“A lot of waste and abuse, but there is a tremendous amount of fraud,” Bondi began. “And, Elon, thank you for your partnership. Thank you for your team. You have uncovered so much fraud in our government.”

Bondi then revealed that an internal task force is involved with bringing those accused of fraud to justice.

“We will prosecute you,” the attorney general warned. “We have an internal task force now working with every agency sitting here at this table. And if you’ve committed fraud, we’re coming after you. Thank you, Elon.” (Read more from “Pam Bondi Threatens Prosecution Amid DOGE’s Findings About Fraud: ‘We’re Coming After You’” HERE)

FBI Withheld ‘Thousands of Pages’ of Jeffrey Epstein Docs, Pam Bondi Says — And She’s Demanding They Be Turned Over

Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed Thursday that “thousands of pages” of documents in the FBI’s investigation into the sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein were withheld from her.

And she’s demanding that they be turned over by Friday morning.

Bondi, 59, disclosed in a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel a tipster said that all but “approximately 200 pages of documents” were still being kept secret at the FBI’s office in New York — despite her after repeated requests for the “full” Epstein files.

The initial batch included flight logs, phone numbers and the names of victims, but a source in the FBI’s New York office reached out and said that hundreds additional documents were not included.

“By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained,” Bondi said. AG Pam Bondi Takes Immediate Action, Sues Illinois and Chicago Over Sanctuary City Policies

Newly confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi took swift action on Thursday, suing Illinois and Chicago to enforce immigration law.

Bondi’s suit, one of her first actions in her post, contends the state’s and city’s sanctuary city policies are unlawful and seeks to have them deemed “invalid.”

“I will restore integrity to the Justice Department, and I will fight violent crime throughout this country and throughout this world and make America safe again,” Bondi said Wednesday after being sworn in as attorney general.

Justice Department filed the complaint in Chicago federal court.

“By refusing to honor civil detainers and warrants expressly authorized by Congress, Defendants have unlawfully eliminated these means for federal immigrations officials to carry out their statutory functions,” the complaint stated. LEAKED: Next ATF Director May Be an Anti-Gunner

Unfortunately, it appears that gun owners were right to be concerned about the appointment of Attorney General Pam Bondi.

According to leaked information that is being reported by the New York Times and now also by pro-gun YouTubers like Jared (of Guns & Gadgets) and Braden Langley, Bondi is considering recommending a “non-ideological” person who is an “older, more seasoned LEO” to be the new head of the ATF.

Her shortlist allegedly includes several former and current top ATF officials.

To put it bluntly, that would be a DISASTER for the Second Amendment.

Biden’s head of the ATF Steven Dettelbach was an “older, non-ideological, more seasoned LEO” – and as millions of gun owners are painfully aware, he spent years leading an all-out assault on our 2A rights!

You know who else was a “seasoned LEO?” The anti-gun radical David Chipman – whose nomination to lead the Biden ATF was torpedoed thanks to GOA members like you. Also, during his first administration, President Trump chose anti-gun president of the Fraternal Order of Police Chuck Canterbury and GOA members had to spend months fighting to tank his nomination.

It would be a mistake for a “pro-gun” administration to appoint another “seasoned” bureaucrat who knows nothing about the Second Amendment.

A lot of harm has been done in the name of “law and order” over the years.

Things such as registering gun owners in the name of fighting crime; attacking a group of loners in Waco, Texas; shutting down long-established gun stores for simple mistakes; abusing mentally handicapped people in gun “stings” in Milwaukee; victimizing pro-gun sheriffs with nonsensical new legal theories; murdering airport executives in Arkansas; and much, much more.

In fact, the ATF is defying judicial rulings against its unconstitutional gun control measures. Despite courts striking down their policies, the ATF has continued attempts to unlawfully enforce its pistol brace ban on multiple occasions—acting as if they are above the law!

Pam Bondi must understand that truly restoring “law and order” in the eyes of gun owners means fundamentally transforming the rogue ATF.

That means appointing an ATF director who will do ALL of the following:

• Stand up to ATF’s rogue officials;

• Help President Trump downsize the federal government (including ATF);

• Unravel Biden’s weaponization of law enforcement (especially ATF);

• Scale back the ATF’s infringements of constitutional rights; and

• Return freedom to the hands of the people to whom it belongs.

Maintaining the corrupt, tyrannical status quo by appointing current or former top ATF officials is not the kind of “law and order” that the American people want or expect.

In fact, President Trump began his second administration by taking an ax to the Deep State that has enabled “seasoned” bureaucrats to run wild in Washington.

He needs to do the same to the ATF by appointing a fighter who will defend the Second Amendment from the lawless bureaucrats who’ve waged war on our God-given rights for far too long.
