PETA Got Fact-Checked for Their Thanksgiving Tweet, And It’s Hilarious

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving with your families. It’s one of the best holidays of the year that sadly gets undercut due to its proximity to Christmas. Still, given how social media has exploded, along with the trend that everyone and anyone needs to weigh in on something, a**holery has proliferated. It’s not a credit to them, but the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has been consistent with these sorts of posts on the holidays.

It got community noted, which was one of the best. It’s hilarious because it’s tongue-in-cheek to the nth degree. It shows a bunch of mega-sized turkeys about to feast on a beheaded human for Thanksgiving. It’s meant to promote going vegetarian or something, which will never happen, and tofu turkeys are sacrilege. The note was a bit educational; I never knew turkeys ate frogs:

Turkeys are not vegetarians. Turkeys eat mice, lizards, frogs, and just about anything they can fit in their mouth. If turkeys were larger or had the technological means to farm and eat humans, their current diet reveals they likely would.

Now Walmart Agrees with PETA, Says You Can’t Use Animals to Harvest Food; Is Veganism Next?

Walmart says it has stopped selling a brand of coconut milk — because the manufacturer allegedly uses forced monkey labor.

Chaokoh coconut milk has been accused by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals of keeping monkeys chained and forcing them to harvest coconuts.

PETA’s executive vice president, Tracy Reiman, said in a statement that the Thai company is treating monkeys as “chained-up coconut-picking machines.”

PETA said it conducted two undercover investigations into Chaokoh coconut milk and claims to have found “cruelty to monkeys on every farm, at every monkey-training facility, and in every coconut-picking contest that used monkey labor.”

PETA has lobbied major retailers to drop Chaokoh coconut milk while released disturbing videos of the company’s alleged treatment of the monkeys. (Read more from “Now Walmart Agrees With PETA, Says You Can’t Use Animals to Harvest Food; Is Veganism Next?” HERE)

PETA Demands Federal Prison Accommodate Ghislaine Maxwell’s Vegan Diet

Animal-rights activist group PETA is demanding a federal prison accommodate Ghislaine Maxwell’s vegan diet to prevent her from “contributing to suffering.”

PETA sent a letter to the Metropolitan Detention Center on Tuesday demanding the federal prison provide Maxwell, a longtime confidant to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, with plant-based meals—”regardless of the accusations against her.” Maxwell was arrested in July on multiple charges related to sex trafficking and sexual abuse of young girls and is being held in the Brooklyn detention center without bail.

“Regardless of how anyone feels about Ms. Maxwell, no one should be forced to eat the corpse of an animal who felt pain and fear and didn’t want to die,” PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement.

PETA said its decision to advocate for Maxwell follows multiple reports that the facility has for months failed to provide her with meals suitable to her vegan diet. In the letter, addressed to the detention center’s warden, PETA said that providing vegan meals to Maxwell and other inmates can help end animal suffering. “Although none of us can stop all violence, by providing everyone with vegan meals, you have the power to prevent Ms. Maxwell and other inmates from contributing to suffering,” the organization said. PETA Goes OFF on AOC for Buying a Dog

Animal rights organization PETA wagged their finger at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for buying a dog instead of getting one from a shelter.

“With the millions of homeless dogs out there, you apparently chose to buy a purebred puppy instead of adopting one from an animal shelter,” PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a Thursday letter to the New York Democrat. “Right this minute, on Petfinder alone, there are more than 110,000 dogs — including French bulldogs — who need homes. Animal shelters are bursting at the seams with hundreds of thousands more, many of whom will be ‘put to sleep’ for lack of a home.”

Ocasio-Cortez shared news of her new dog earlier this week on Instagram, showing a picture of her dog in a pet cage. “We are thinking something Star Trek related or Bronx/Queens/NYC/social good related,” she said.

The animal rights organization president begged Ocasio-Cortez to be “part of the solution” to end the “dog-overpopulation crisis” instead of adding to it. “Consider setting the right example for your millions of followers by adopting a mutt and encouraging them to do the same,” she said. “Not only will you be saving another dog’s life, the new dog will also provide your puppy with the companionship he desperately needs as your busy schedule takes you around the country.” (Read more from “PETA Goes OFF on AOC for Buying a Dog” HERE)

PETA Wants People to Stop Using Language ‘Offensive’ to Animals

On Tuesday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) issued a tweet calling for human beings to stop using “anti-animal language” and using “speciesism” in conversations. . .

But then, PETA may have better things to do, such as freeing animal crackers from their cages. In August, Peta wrote in a letter to the makers of Barnum’s animal crackers, “Given the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals and the public’s swelling opposition to the exploitation of animals used for entertainment, we urge Nabisco to update its packaging in order to show animals who are free to roam in their natural habitats.”

Or arguing that cheese is sexist, as they did in August 2017, stating, “Contrary to popular belief, female cows produce milk only when they’re pregnant or nursing. They make milk for the same reason that human women do: to feed their babies. Cows who are imprisoned on dairy farms are forcibly impregnated through artificial insemination again and again on rape racks. Rape racks. All for your milk, cheese, and yogurt.” . . .

There may not be enough time for PETA to address all of those statements regarding animals, with everything else on their plate. (Read more from “PETA Wants People to Stop Using Language ‘Offensive’ to Animals” HERE)

PETA: If You Drink Milk, You Support Racism, or Something

At first, I thought this was a parody. It had to be. Everything has become a political battlefield. From television shows, food, clothes, and even hairstyles, the liberal, politically correct are policing things they find problematic. And now we’re dredging this nonsense from the grave: milk is racist. And take a wild guess on who’s pushing this trash. Yeah, it’s People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). They’re unspooled. So, how is milk racist or used as a supposed symbol of white supremacy? White people have an enzyme or something. The New York Times got in on this drivel, and spent way too much time on it:

“Studying human genetic diversity is easier in a society where diversity is clearly valued and celebrated — right now, that is very much on my mind,” said John Novembre, a University of Chicago evolutionary biologist who has taken to concluding his visiting seminars by illustrating how one of the field’s textbook examples of natural selection has been adopted for illiberal ends.

One slide Dr. Novembre has folded into his recent talks depicts a group of white nationalists chugging milk at a 2017 gathering to draw attention to a genetic trait known to be more common in white people than others — the ability to digest lactose as adults. It also shows a social media post from an account called “Enter The Milk Zone” with a map lifted from a scientific journal article on the trait’s evolutionary history.

PETA Puts up Billboard Telling Marylanders to Stop Eating Crabs

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) put up a billboard in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor featuring a picture of a blue crab with the message “I’m ME, Not MEAT. See the Individual. Go Vegan.”

“Just like humans, crabs feel pain and fear, have unique personalities, and value their own lives,” PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman commented. “PETA’s billboard aims to give Charm City residents some food for thought about sparing sensitive marine animals the agony of being boiled alive or crushed to death in fishing nets simply by going vegan.”

However, Twitter users and locals reacted pretty much as could be expected to PETA’s efforts to get them to stop eating the Maryland specialty.

Why Parents with Disabled Children are Defending Sarah Palin

My sister stood around the corner and deliberately out of sight, curious to see what her then-14-month-old son, Chaim, was up to. He sat on the kitchen floor, legs spread around the dog’s dish. With a devilish smile, Chaim looked around a couple of times before plunging his bare hands into the bowl and extending it as an offering to his closest friend, Sammy, the family’s poodle mix.

My sister, Sheryl, couldn’t have been more delighted. No, she wasn’t fond of Chaim boy-handling the Alpo. But the idea that Chaim knew he was doing something wrong and took precautions to avoid being caught showed logic and reasoning skills that she hadn’t before seen or anticipated. After all, before a baby with Down syndrome is born, doctors warn the expectant parents that a dire, sad, dependent life may lie ahead. . .

This is the side of those controversial images—the ones that former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin posted of her son, Trig, standing on his dog—that my sister and other parents of children like Trig and Chaim say is overlooked. . .

I admit I didn’t get that right away, either. . . But then I saw a Facebook post from a close friend–an unimpeachable animal lover and inveterate political liberal—who is also raising a boy with Down syndrome. . .

“I’m finding myself in the very odd and somewhat disorienting position of defending Sarah Palin. My 35-pound son sits on our 82-pound Golden Retriever all the time (and, yes, he has stood on her to reach something). They have a beautiful bond, and I have great confidence that Ginny will simply get up and move if she objects. It feels weird to say it, but in the Palin/PETA smackdown, I’m going to have to side with Palin this time.”

PETA Urges Vegan Diet for Alleged Cannibal Killer

Photo Credit: Clark County (Ind.) jailAnimal rights group PETA has sparked fury from a local sheriff by demanding that an Indiana man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and eating parts of her body receive a vegan diet while he is in custody, according to local media.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) sent a letter to Clark County Acting Sheriff Brian Meyer, encouraging him to provide a diet free of animal products for Joseph Oberhansley, reported the Jeffersonville News & Tribune.

Oberhansley, 33, is accused of breaking into the Jeffersonville home of ex-girlfriend Tammy Jo Blanton, 46, murdering her and abusing her corpse by eating parts of it. He was arrested on Sept.11 and arraigned on Monday. Jeffersonville is across the Ohio River from Louisville.

The letter, signed by Lindsay Rajt, PETA’s associate director of campaigns, said other prisons had seen a decrease in violence after switching to vegetarian meals.

But Meyer told Louisville TV station WHAS that he thought the letter was “a cruel joke,” he said, “When I realized it was real, my first thought was to not even respond because it’s ridiculous.

Common Core Shows Fourth Graders Gory, Painful Ways to Kill Class Pets

Common Core math has gotten a lot of negative attention.

However, the Common Core standards also mandate a nonfiction-heavy reading regime that devalues literature tremendously. Specifically, under the Common Core standards, “informational texts” must constitute a huge part of what students read.

So, what exactly is in these “informational texts”?

In the idyllic expanses of New York’s Lakeland Central School District, the “informational texts” for fourth graders are disturbing agitprop from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

As EAGnews.org reports, the entire text forced on the fourth-grade kids was taken word-for-word from the PETA website PETAkids.com—home of the “30-day vegan pledge,” militant screeds against KFC and statement such as: “Zoos collect animals and put them on display to make money.”
