Planned Parenthood Says It Will Have to Shut Down if Texas Wins Lawsuit Demanding Millions

The state of Texas is suing Planned Parenthood, and the organization argued that it may go out of business if the lawsuit is successful.

“This baseless case is an active effort to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, the president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

The lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood wrongfully accepted payment from Medicaid during a time when the state was suing to end those funds.

Texas first notified the abortion provider that it would end Medicaid payments in December 2016. The organization sued and got a federal court to agree with it, which allowed it to continue Medicaid. In 2020, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit reversed that ruling, and it was upheld in 2021.

The lawsuit says that Planned Parenthood filed a legal appeal rather than a legislative appeal and argues that all payments accepted by the organization after Feb. 1, 2017, were fraudulent. Baltimore Police recently released video surveillance of an unidentified male attacking two pro-life advocates in front of a Planned Parenthood last month.

Dick Schafer, 80, and Mark Crosby, 73, were assaulted and injured outside the abortion facility on N. Howard Street. While Schafer reportedly had been recovering at home after the attack, Crosby received treatment for a large hematoma, hyphemia, and head and neck pain at the University of Maryland’s shock trauma facility.

Central District Detectives released the video on Thursday in a bid to find the person involved in the assault, which occurred on May 26, 2023. The footage shows the unknown suspect, described as a white male with brown hair and a full beard, wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. . .

Local pro-lifer John Roswell said the suspect asked Planned Parenthood “deathscorts” to hold his drink before attacking Schafer, who reportedly had his back turned away from the person at the time of the assault,” The Daily Wire previously reported. Pro-Life Protesters Beaten Outside Planned Parenthood

Two senior citizen anti-abortion protesters were attacked outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic in North Baltimore on Friday morning, sending one to the University of Maryland Medical Center.

“Please pray for my dear friend, Mark Crosby,” President of the Baltimore County Right to Life organization Jay Walton said on Facebook Friday. “He was viciously attacked yesterday, May 26, 2023 while he was praying in front of Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City. He and another prolifer were attacked from behind and the thug ran away.” . . .

WMAR reported that surveillance video shows the suspect tackling Shafer, disturbing a large flower planter outside of the abortion facility. When Crosby came to Shafer’s aid, the assailant shoved Crosby to the ground, and the person was seen punching and kicking him in the face.

Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Now Sells Millions in Hormones to Mutilate Children

Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report reveals that the multi-billion-dollar business has diversified its portfolio beyond abortion, pushing deeply into the transgender industry by offering puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to young adults and minors — often while explicitly withholding this information from parents.

While the organization does not list the number of transgender procedures it carried out, it has acknowledged the number of people seeking such services numbers in the tens of thousands. Planned Parenthood also aims to turn teens into “fighters” for their cause, bashing “ugly” legislation that would prevent surgeons from permanently castrating minors, and proclaiming that its sex education courses contain the information America’s children “need to be free.”

These views show that Planned Parenthood’s dual embrace of abortion and transgender procedures is “much more spiritual than political,” according to an expert on applying the biblical worldview to contemporary events.

In its annual report released this week, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) announced that 41 of its 49 affiliates carry out transgender hormone injections and/or distribute puberty blockers — a massive spike from the 30 affiliates that charged customers for such work in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

The report does not specify the number of transgender interventions committed in these offices. But at least 35,000 people nationwide came to Planned Parenthood to receive cross-sex injections in 2021, Dr. Bhavik Kumar, the medical director of primary and trans care at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, told NPR in February. Woman Sues After Botched-Abortion Horror

A 25-year-old New York woman is suing Planned Parenthood, claiming the facility botched her abortion and then abandoned her afterwards, leaving her with weeks of pain and blood loss — and then, a premature delivery of her baby.

In 2020, Nakara Alston tried to undergo an abortion at Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood in Albany, when she was eight weeks pregnant. At the time, she was living in a domestic abuse facility with her two daughters, having just escaped a violent relationship. After the abortion, a physician’s assistant examined the supposed fetal remains, and said the abortion had been completed. Alston was sent on her way — but she was still pregnant.

Over the next three months, Alston frantically tried to get help as her bleeding worsened, all the while with no idea that she still had a living baby in her womb. Alston’s attorney Lewis B. Oliver said staff at Planned Parenthood, St. Peters Health Partners, and Albany Medical Center failed to give Alston proper health care. . .

After realizing she was still pregnant, Alston reached out to Planned Parenthood again, but only got their voicemail. When they did call her back, they told her it wasn’t possible for her to be pregnant, because the abortion had been committed successfully. . .

At 22 weeks pregnant, she came back to the emergency room again at St. Peter’s, and an ultrasound showed that her amniotic fluid had drained completely — her water had broken. She was then told that doctors at Albany Med could commit abortions, but that no doctors at St. Peter’s would deliver a baby that premature, so she was transferred to Albany Med. A dilation and evacuation (D&E) was recommended; in this procedure, the cervix is forcibly dilated over one to two days, before the preborn child is torn apart limb from torso. Abortion Giant Planned Parenthood Stealth Edits Fetal Heartbeat Fact Sheet

Abortion giant Planned Parenthood reportedly issued a stealth-edit of its fact sheet on fetal development to alter language appearing to support the idea that fetuses indeed have a heartbeat after six weeks in the womb.

Though it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when Planned Parenthood edited the language, Fox News noted that the organization’s website said that babies have a heartbeat at six weeks as early as July 25 of this year. Life News also noted the change on August 22.

“A very basic beating heart and circulatory system develop,” the original fact-sheet said in its “what happens during week 5-6” section.

The edited section now says the following: “A part of the embryo starts to show cardiac activity. It sounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound, but it’s not a fully-formed heart — it’s the earliest stage of the heart developing.”

Planned Parenthood’s new fact sheet appears to conflict with the National Library of Medicine, which says that five-week-old fetuses have a “brain, spinal cord, and heart” that begins to develop, which then “beats at a regular rhythm” around six weeks. ‘Her Life Was a Walking Miracle’: Former Planned Parenthood Staffer Turned Pro-life Advocate Has Died

A Planned Parenthood facility director who later filed a lawsuit against her former employer and testified against the abortion giant in a congressional hearing, Sue Thayer, died on Tuesday following a short battle with kidney cancer. She was 62.

Her daughter, Kim Thayer, announced her passing in a Facebook post. “Mom lost her earthly battle with a rare, aggressive form of cancer but won the final war when she woke up in the arms of our Heavenly Father,” wrote Kim.

To family and friends, Thayer was known as a joyful woman of deep Christian faith. Most recently, she had served as director of outreach at 40 Days for Life, an ecumenical group based in central Texas and active in 63 countries that mobilizes prayer vigils outside abortion centers.

The ministry’s president, Shawn Carney, called Thayer “irreplaceable” and “an important part of the pro-life movement around the world” in a tribute video.

Women’s health advocate and author Abby Johnson, known for also exiting Planned Parenthood, said Thayer will be “greatly missed by many.” Johnson stated online: “Sue has been a force in the prolife movement. Catholic University to Host Fundraiser for Planned Parenthood

Loyola Marymount University (LMU) will host a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood on Friday, November 5.

The Catholic university, located in Los Angeles and sponsored by the Jesuits (Society of Jesus), the Marymount Sisters (Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary), and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, states on its website the school and its religious leaders “share a common dedication to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social justice as hallmarks of a contemporary Catholic university.”

A petition sent from RenewLMU to school President Tim Snyder, however, requests the event be cancelled, as PJ Media observed.

“Founded by the eugenicist and virulent anti-Black racist Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the United States and has been caught red-handed in the illegal sale of fetal tissues and has been complicit in sex trafficking,” LMU alumna Samantha (Stribling) Stephenson wrote in the petition.

Leaked Document Shows Biden Sidelining Public To Take Orders From Planned Parenthood

A new leaked document shows the Biden administration flouting the regulatory process in order to push through a massive financial favor to the powerful and lucrative abortion industry that backed Joe Biden’s presidential candidacy with tens of millions of dollars.

Less than two weeks after an already abbreviated period of time for the public to review and comment on the proposed regulatory change, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services circulated a draft final rule that violates the clear language of Obamacare in order to benefit Planned Parenthood and other corporate abortion interests. The leaked document, dated August 10 and more than 300 pages long, was then sent to the Office of Management and Budget for final approval, according to multiple sources familiar with the federal rule making process. OMB posted confirmation of receipt August 19, a mere 50 days after the major rule change was first proposed to the public. . .

On July 1, the Biden administration proposed to eliminate and replace the Trump administration’s separate billing requirement.

Normally, such an important and economically significant rule change would require giving the public months of opportunity to comment, followed by months more of rigorous review of and response to the comments, before finalizing the rule. In a stunning move, the Biden administration provided only 28 days for public comment, thereby receiving only 341 comments. . .

The rushed rule change covers one of the most important legislative battles Democrats waged in order to pass Obamacare, which legislated a massive regulatory overhaul of the health insurance marketplace. Sen. Ben Nelson, a pro-life Democrat from Nebraska, authored the section requiring separate payment for abortion services. The bill would not have passed without the provision. Ex-Planned Parenthood Director: Abortion is ‘Death Penalty of the Unborn’

A former Planned Parenthood director has accused the abortion giant of practicing “deception” in drumming up business for the abortion industry, the Christian Post reported Monday.

Speaking at the Democrats for Life of America’s annual conference in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend, Mayra Rodriguez said that Planned Parenthood targets illegal immigrants, promising not to report them but then suggesting they could be deported if they do not abort their babies.

Planned Parenthood officials tell “immigrants that they’re welcome there: ‘we won’t deport you, we won’t call ICE on you,’” said Rodriguez, the former director of an Arizona clinic. “‘But if you carry your baby and go to the hospital and you live, for example, in Arizona or Ohio or other states where they have very strict anti-undocumented people laws, you may get deported.’” . . .

“It takes about 15 to 26 minutes for an abortion,” she said. “They suffocate them and they also inject a saline solution into their heart until their heart stops for 24 hours before they pull them out piece by piece.”
