Cruz’s Father Re-Emerges in Indiana

8555659909_f6a6955a4b_bAfter negative reporting of his religious views, the Christian evangelist father of Ted Cruz has returned to the campaign trail in an effort to win evangelical voters in Indiana, whose primary Tuesday is regarded by many as the Texas senator’s last hope to keep his bid for the Republican presidential nomination alive.

While the national media largely has been silent about Rafael Cruz’s re-emergence, local reporters in Indiana have covered his various appearances.

WSBT-TV in Mishawaka, Indiana, reported Rafael Cruz created “a lot of excitement” by showing up as a guest of Indiana Republican Gov. Mike Pence at a Wednesday night fish fry dinner of Kosciusko County Republicans.

On April 8, the Courier-Times in New Castle, Indiana, reported Rafael Cruz stopped by a local restaurant for an event that opened with a prayer from pastor Randy Gross and the singing of “God Bless America” by Christy Stutzman, the wife of Marlin Stutzman, a candidate for the Indiana state Senate.

Andrea Yaeter, reporting for the Courier-Times, noted Rafael Cruz discussed several “hot-button issues in the Republican party including education, gay marriage, abortion, states’ rights and the Supreme Court.” (Read more from “Cruz’s Father Re-Emerges in Indiana” HERE)

Ted Cruz’s Father Just Sent out a Major Warning to Christians

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution begins, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” and Americans throughout history have interpreted this as a guarantee of freedom of religion.

However, as WND has documented, the Obama administration has stealthily replaced the term “freedom of religion” with “freedom of worship” in official pronouncements.

Pastor Rafael Cruz, the father of GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz and author of the new book, “A Time for Action: Empowering the Faithful to Reclaim America,” warns that this subtle shift in language would be devastating for America if the policy and practice come to follow the words.

“Most Christians don’t realize the danger of freedom of worship,” Cruz said during a recent appearance on “Hagee Hotline” with pastor Matthew Hagee. “Freedom of worship is not the same as freedom of religion. Every Communist country around the world has freedom of worship. What freedom of worship means is you can worship inside a house of worship.”

Cruz explained even in his native Cuba a person can share the gospel inside a church. There may be spies present to ensure no one speaks out against the government, but congregants nevertheless have the freedom to go to church and worship their God. Must Watch: Rev Rafael Cruz, Ted Cruz’s Father, Lets Loose With Totally Politically Incorrect Message For America

Rev Rafael Cruz said Americans must reject politically correct language, such as the liberals’ word “gay” for “homosexual” or “pro-choice” for “pro-murder,” because “there are absolutes” in morality and civil society, and he added that Christians must be “biblically correct instead of politically correct.”

“We have to stop being politically correct,” said Rev Rafael Cruz in a talk before evangelical Christians. “We have to stop acquiescing even to the wording that the liberals use.”

“Just think about it,” he said. “They talk about the issue of life. They say ‘pro-life’ or ‘pro-choice.’ That’s not the right word. It is ‘pro-life’ or ‘pro-death.’ It is ‘pro-life’ or ‘pro-murder.’”

“And so, it’s just like calling homosexuals ‘gays,’” said Rev. Cruz. “Gay means happy. Then they try to delude it so it becomes socially acceptable, and if you say anything against homosexual marriage, then oh, you’re not tolerant.”

“So we’re supposed to prostitute our principles on behalf of tolerance,” he said.

Rev. Rafael Cruz: U.S. Christian Churches Under Attack, Pastors Must Not Be Silenced (+video)

Rev. Rafael Cruz, director of Purifying Fire Ministries and father of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), said the Christian church in America is under attack “more and more every day,” and noted that many pastors are afraid of losing their tax-exempt status if they speak out on political issues.

Cruz stressed, however, that “no church in America has ever lost its tax-exempt status for speaking on what’s happening in the country.”

. . . CNSNews.com asked Rev. Cruz, “What do you think are some of the major problems facing the pastors in America today, and what would be your message to them?”

He said, “Well, I think the major challenge the pastors have is the pastors are afraid, and fear has come into the pastors because of lack of knowledge. And, you know, if the enemy can put fear into the hearts of the pastor, in essence the enemy accomplishes what he wants to do and that is to silence the pastors.”

“Many pastors are afraid of losing their tax-exempt status if they speak on what’s happening in our society today,” said Rev. Cruz. “But the reality is that no church in America has ever lost its tax-exempt status for speaking on what’s happening in the country. So, it is an empty threat. But never the less, it’s had the desired result – that is, to silence the pastors.”
