Allen West: Obama Acting Like ‘Spoiled Brat’ (+video)

Photo Credit: Alex Wong/Getty ImagesFormer Rep. Allen West of Florida said President Barack Obama’s refusal to negotiate with Republicans is tantamount to the behavior of a “spoiled brat.”

“I can put it very basic Southern terms: a spoiled brat child,” West told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.

“We have been giving Barack Obama everything that he has wanted. We gave him a state senator position in Chicago, we gave him a U.S. Senate position out of the state of Illinois, unproven, untested, no resume, we gave him the presidency twice.

Former Rep. Allen B. West had some harsh words for President Obama and the Supreme Court on Sunday night, taking to Facebook to express his disdain for the court’s decision on Proposition 8.

“This week we’ll celebrate the 237th anniversary of our independence. But are we a free people?” Mr. West, a Florida Republican, asked.

“SCOTUS made an ill-conceived ruling believing the choice of sexual behavior should trump the people’s referendum. We are free to love anyone or anything we desire in America, but that does not correlate to rights beyond the unalienable ones Jefferson articulated 237 years ago.

“We’ll see what happens down the pike,” West said on WMAL’s “Morning at the Mall” radio show. “God will set my feet on the right path.”

Rep. Peter King on Spread of Radical Islam: ‘We can’t be Politically Correct’

By Jeff Poor. New York Republican Rep. Peter King said Friday that the potential radicalization of members of the Muslim Chechen community should be investigated after the Boston Marathon bombing.

“We can’t be politically correct,” he said on CNN’s “The Lead.” “I think we have to see, has radicalization has extended into the Chechen community?”

Host Jake Tapper asked King about one of the suspect’s apparent YouTube pages, where a video had been posted featuring Feiz Mohammad.

Tapper asked if King knew anything about Mohammad, who is described as a “fundamentalist Australian Muslim preacher.”

“I’m not aware of that radical cleric, but I do know that the idea of radical clerics in the Muslim community — again, it’s a small percentage — but they have had a disproportionate influence,” King said. “And I think that is something that has to be looked at. We can’t be politically correct. Read more from this story HERE.

Allen West: ‘We have domestic radical Islamic terror problem in America’

By Caroline May. Former Florida Rep. Allen West issued a harsh attack on political correctness Friday, as authorities continued to pursue second Boston attack suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

“Let me be very clear, the terrorist attack in Boston and evolving events indicate we have a domestic radical Islamic terror problem in America,” the Republican wrote on his Facebook page.

According to the former congressman, America must reject “political correctness” and advocacy groups like the Council on American–Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, and the Muslim American Society, which he linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. GOP lawmaker calls for ‘increased surveillance’ of Muslims after attack

By Julian Pecquet. Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) called for “increased surveillance” of Muslims on Friday, saying the Boston Marathon bombing suspects’ links to Chechnya represented a “new front” in the war on terror.

“Police have to be in the community, they have to build up as many sources as they can, and they have to realize that the threat is coming from the Muslim community and increase surveillance there,” the chairman of the House subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence told National Review. “We can’t be bound by political correctness. I think we need more police and more surveillance in the communities where the threat is coming from.”

He went on to suggest that the two suspects’ Chechen background and Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s visit to Russia last year suggested increased radicalization of the Chechen community. The two brothers immigrated to the United States in 2001 from Kyrgyzstan, and the FBI has so far not released any evidence that they did not act alone.
“There’s never been any history of any threats emanating in this country from the Chechen community,” King told the Review. “So in a way this opens up a new front in the war.” Read more from this story HERE.

After sternly warning college students to stop harassing his wife or they would face consequences, former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., now finds himself the target of a complaint.

West, a retired Army colonel who narrowly lost his congressional seat after serving a notable freshman term, had responded on Twitter and Facebook to students at Florida Atlantic University, where his wife, Angela, serves on the Board of Trustees. He explained in a Facebook post Wednesday that students had gone to his wife’s office, “stalked her at the FAU Board of Trustee meetings, and sent letters to her company headquarters.”

“How dare you animals attack my wife and her professional reputation. This is your one and only advisory notice,” West said.

He clarified: “This is not a threat, it is a promise that if Angela calls and tells me of one more incident, you will face me, the side of me that you do not want to see.”

He sent a similar message on Twitter: “To FAU students stalking my wife at Bd of Trustee mtgs, end it now. If u believe you can intimidate her, u are mistaken. Nxt time u face me.”

Rep. West: Obama is ‘Sad,’ ‘Pathetic,’ ‘Fear-Mongering’ on Debt Ceiling

Rep. Allen West calls President Barack Obama’s actions on the debt ceiling debate “sad”, “pathetic” and “fear-mongering”.

In an interview with CNSNews.com, West was asked about his recent comments that the president was fear-mongering when using the issue of Social Security payments in the debt ceiling debate.

“To come out and just say, we’re not going to – I don’t think we’re going to be able pay seniors, I don’t think were going to be able to pay veterans that’s not leadership. That’s why I said it was sad, it was pathetic, it’s fear-mongering and it’s trying to turn people against other folks who are trying to come up with viable solutions. That’s not what I think a president should be doing,” West said.

West claims the president needs to decide how to best prioritize the programs that he wants to see funded in the country, “I think the thing that the president needs to do, is sit down and say. With the revenues that we have coming in, with the revenues that we have existing in the Social Security trust fund right now. You know, what are we going to prioritize as far as spending here in the United States of America.”
