Young Voters Are Fleeing the Left — Pew Poll Shows Massive GOP Surge Since 2023

A shocking new report from Pew Research shows a dramatic political shift among young Americans — and it’s not good news for Democrats.

In just under two years, voters under 50 — once considered the Democratic Party’s electoral backbone — have turned sharply toward the GOP, according to the nonpartisan polling outlet.

Back in August 2023, men and women aged 18–49 leaned blue across the board. Only older male voters — those aged 50–64 and over 65 — were reliably Republican. But by June 2025, everything changed.

Males aged 18–29 have flipped their allegiance, going from 62% Democrat in 2023 to 52% Republican in 2025 — a stunning 14-point swing. Women in the same age bracket saw GOP support jump from 30% to 37%.

Even Millennials, long viewed as solid Democratic voters, are shifting. Among those born in the 1980s, Democratic affiliation dropped from 57% in 2021 to just 47% in 2025. For those born in the 1990s, the drop is even steeper — from 59% to 46%.

Democrats managed to slightly grow their lead among women aged 30–49, but not through new enthusiasm. Instead, Republican support dropped modestly in that demographic from 42% to 39%.

One other trend caught analysts’ attention: a noticeable uptick in young adults refusing to identify with either major party. Among 18–29-year-olds, 13% reported having no political leaning or declined to answer.

Still, the overall trend is unmistakable: young voters are leaving the Democratic Party in droves — and the GOP is gaining momentum where it once struggled to connect.

State Lawmakers Across the Country Are Ditching the Democrats for the GOP: Report

In multiple states, Democratic legislators are switching their parties to become Republicans, citing the Democratic Party’s left-wing shift and the difficulty to accomplish policy goals, according to several reports.

Since 1994, 173 state legislators have changed their parties mid-term, of which 83 were Democrats who became Republicans, while just 23 shifted the other way, according to research by Politico. Since 2022, at least three legislators in West Virginia, North Carolina and Louisiana, who were elected as Democrats, have joined the Republican benches with significant political consequences.

In West Virginia, first-term state Del. Elliott Pritt became a Republican, joining the House of Delegates’ 88-seat Republican supermajority in a 100-member chamber, according to an announcement reported by West Virginia Public Broadcasting. Pritt attributed his decision to the Democratic Party’s powerlessness in the state legislature and frustration with repeated failures by the party to enact policy.

“Even if I were to run again and win, I would look at another term of never getting another bill passed, never getting anything done. For the time I’m going to be there, I’m not going to sit there and be a lame duck and not get anything,” said Pritt in comments reported by Politico. Pritt was preceded by former state Del. Mick Bates, who switched his party affiliation to Republican during the last session of the legislature, in 2021. Shocking Poll: Majority of Republicans Say ‘A Time Will Come When Patriotic Americans Have to Take the Law Into Their Own Hands’

[N]early half of Republican voters (47%) say that “a time will come when patriotic Americans have to take the law into their own hands,” per a new nationwide survey by George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.

Only about 29% of Americans agreed with this statement on some level, the poll found, including just 9% of Democrats. And 49% said they disagree or strongly disagree.

The poll also found that a majority of Republicans (55%) say “the traditional American way of life is disappearing so fast we may have to use force to save it.” About 15% of Democrats agreed with this statement, but more Americans disagreed (46%) than agreed (34%).

More Republicans (27%) than Democrats (18%) said that “strong leaders sometimes have to bend the rules in order to get things done.”

The poll also found extremely low levels of trust among Republicans when it comes to elections – 82% said it’s “hard to trust the results of elections when so many people will vote for anyone who offers a handout.” Only 15% of Democrats were on the same page. DC Expanding Absurd Criminal Leniency to Murderers Under 25. Republicans Still on Board for Criminal Justice ‘Reform’

What happens when Republicans stop being the party of law and order and instead help the Left promote the false narrative that America locks up too many criminals for too long? Well, there is then no check or balance on the behavior of the Left. Free from any fear that Republicans will ever run “soft on crime” ads against them, they are now pushing the most extreme pro-criminal laws throughout the country. Meanwhile, much as he does with amnesty legislation, Jared Kushner is trying to convince Republican donors that felons released from prison will actually vote Republican!

Far from pushing “reforms” for “non-violent, first-time, low-level” offenders – the typical canard used to propagate jailbreak legislation – the D.C. City Council is now considering a bill to let out even the worst murderers, rapists, and child sex offenders potentially after just 15 years in prison. Even the Washington Post sounded the alarm in a Sunday editorial, noting that given the lack of exceptions in the bill, “if the gunmen who massacred innocent people in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, this month had instead committed their crimes in the District — and had both survived — one would be eligible for release or reduced sentence at age 36, at a judge’s discretion; the other at age 39.”

“Residents of the District of Columbia deserve protection from the most violent criminals and to be confident those offenders receive prison sentences commensurate with the gravity of their crimes,” said the notoriously leftist paper.

D.C., like several other states, has recently enacted legislation allowing those convicted of murder as juveniles to obtain early release after 15 years, even when the judge sentences them to life without parole. Now, proponents want to expand the aggressive push for leniencies for juvenile offenders to those as old as 25. I guess they feel if you are still young enough to be on your parents’ medical insurance, you must still not be fully at fault for murder. This is yet another trend in the runaway “criminal justice reform” leniency train that is expanding its reach to the most violent criminals.

Yet I can’t find a single Republican speaking out against this or similar measures throughout the country.

Republicans could single-handedly realign American politics and win back suburban voters if they were to counter the Left’s gun control agenda with a criminal control agenda. They could force Democrats to answer tough questions on their radical views against incarcerations that don’t sell outside the halls of academia. In San Francisco, after passing a slew of pro-criminal laws, they are now changing the language to sanitize criminals with their verbiage. “Convicted felon” is now a “justice-involved person.” Rather than fighting crime, they want Americans to begin acquiescing to criminals.

In North Carolina, the liberal-dominated supreme court recently let out a child porn offender on a technicality and created a new constitutional right for serial sexual offenders to avoid GPS monitoring. In fact, many child sex offenders are barely serving any time. One illegal alien child sex offender we reported on a few weeks ago was not only let out by Boulder County against an ICE detainer, he served zero prison time.

Many violent criminals and sex offenders are either being let out early or are serving probation. Then when they violate their probation, they are seldom locked up again, but often go on to commit other violent crimes. As KIRO radio host Dori Monson reported earlier this month, despite Washington state’s three strikes law, Gov. Jay Inslee, who was briefly a token presidential candidate, has been granting them clemency. Under the law, those convicted of three violent crimes are supposed to serve time for life, but Inslee gave clemency to one convict who then violated the terms of his clemency. Inslee apparently granted him another clemency, and he has now disappeared.

This entire notion of replacing incarceration with open-ended parole has become a joke and a public safety hazard. As Chicago Tribune editorial board member, John Kass, recently noted, the Chicago probation and monitoring system has been so overrun by politicians seeking to reduce prison populations at all costs that “there are only 100 deputies monitoring the system to watch over more than 2,000 alleged criminals, many of them violent.”

Kass observes that among them, “233 were charged with aggravated battery; 198 with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon; 108 with being an armed habitual criminal; 109 with sexual assault or abuse; 21 with kidnapping; and 109 with murder or attempted murder.” He wrote about one case of a gun felon caught with a 30-round capacity magazine who manipulated the GPS monitoring system designed to track him. He got let out on bail after paying just $9,000.

Remember, the very same people who want to push gun control and bans on extended magazines refuse to lock up those convicted of violent crimes who are caught illegally with those magazines! It’s the perfect rebuttal Republicans can use to demonstrate the hypocrisy of the Left, except they have bought into this agenda too.

According to Axios, Jared Kushner recently told a group of Republican donors at a Wyoming retreat that felons are registering to vote Republican. It’s hard to tell which promise is more absurd – that convicted felons will vote Republicans or that “Dreamers” will reward Republicans for joining Democrats in giving them amnesty. Why would they vote for an echo of the Soros agenda when they can vote for the real thing? And what about all those Americans who aren’t convicted felons but must suffer from Kushner’s jailbreak agenda helping fuel Soros’ life goals?

It’s time the public finally became aware of the fact that this “criminal justice reform” movement is built on a lie and has nothing to do with low-level offenders. As the Washington Post noted in the Sunday editorial, “If they want to slash sentences for violent offenders — many or most of whom are in their 20s — let them make that case clearly and honestly.” But this entire movement is built upon deceit and working in the shadows. Census Could Reveal Electoral Extinction of the Republicans

The recent battle over a citizenship question on the 2020 census perked up ears and attention on both sides of the political aisle. Part of why there was the sharp division over this question comes from obvious partisan concerns. Governors of states with high numbers of illegal immigrants such as California and Texas realize that including the question would result in a loss of representation in Congress and the Electoral College, along with prospective federal funding changes. President Trump and his administration had wanted to return the historical question to the tally.

But there is also a fight over what the 2020 numbers tell us in terms of demographics and election results. The 2018 Texas Senate race and the stark transition of California into a Democratic stronghold intimates that changing immigration numbers could transform electoral politics for generations to come. Major alterations to immigration law since the 1960s have deprioritized migration from Europe and increased illegal entry at the border with Mexico. The Democrats are awaiting a majority minority nation, which could indeed become a reality over the next two decades.

Whites tend to vote Republican, while nonwhites tend to vote Democrat. This proved true in the 2016 election, when Trump carried white voters by 20 percent, while Hillary Clinton won 74 percent of nonwhite voters. With the number of Latinos living in the United States nearly doubling since 2000, it is not difficult to see why Texas could soon follow California, Colorado, and Nevada into the Democratic camp in the next 20 years.

Using the 2000 census and the 2010 census along with 2018 data, the electoral reality becomes more clear. The population of those under 18 will be majority nonwhite next year. Each of the major ethnic groups is expanding at different rates. By averaging the rate of annual population change between 2010 and 2018, we get an estimate of 2020 demographic figures. The number of Latinos will likely increase to nearly 63 million in 2020, an astounding 24 percent higher than in 2010. Latinos will comprise 19 percent of the overall population by 2020, up 50 percent from 2000. Finally, the proportion of whites as a percentage of the overall population will likely decline from 69 percent in 2000 down to 59 percent in 2020.

Should the demographic trends continue down the same path in future elections, there is a potential bloodbath for the Republican Party on the horizon. Due to the fact that the children of most recent immigrants are often under 18, modern elections actually underestimate the future voting potential of Latinos and other immigrant groups. In 2016, 29 percent of the electorate was nonwhite, but almost 40 percent of the country was nonwhite. Over the next decade, young nonwhites will reach the age of the majority of the electorate and begin their political participation. Writer: ‘I’d Rather My Daughter Dated an MS-13 Than a Member of the Republican Party’

MS-13 is a gang whose motto is: “Kill, rape, control.” So, freelance writer Rob Rousseau drew headlines on Monday when he announced on Twitter: “I would rather my daughter dated a member of MS-13 than a member of the Republican Party.” . . .

Turns out, Rob doesn’t even have a daughter. Also turns out, Rousseau fashions himself as a troll who loves to get right-wingers worked up.

Rousseau says on his Twitter profile that he’s a “gun expert, mediocre musician, and cool dad,” in addition to his credentials as a writer for VICE Sports and Paste Magazine.

In the profile, Rousseau also posts his phone number, which might change after his Twitter reactions — considering another tweet where he admitted: “Think I’m going to go ahead and close up the old DMs now” after posting a series of messages directed toward him that were seen as threats. . .

What’s interesting, is the fact that Rousseau admits in his Paste piece that when he Tweeted that “AR stands for assault rifle,” he “didn’t end up learning what the AR in AR-15 stands for” and that he “didn’t really care.” It’s also quite evident that either he’s not a gun expert, or that’s also a joke. Corrupt Establishment Orchestrates Yet Another Successful Attack on the People: Roy Moore Loses Senate Race, AL Supreme Court Allows Destruction of Voting Records

Editor’s Note: What the Establishment has done to Roy Moore, Joe Miller, Chris McDaniel, Sharron Angle and a few other “uncontrolled” candidates reflects that the Oligarchy is firmly in control of the American political system. We are convinced an uncompromised candidate who truly advocates for “We the People” and the Constitution cannot win a U.S. Senate seat in the face of this corrupt opposition. Regrettably, this is our future, as the enemies of the People own virtually every major media outlet and every U.S. politician of note. Vote integrity no longer exists. And our once-great nation continues to self-destruct. May God help us.

Last Minute Alabama Supreme Court Order Allows Destruction of Digital Voting Records in Moore-Jones Race

By Taylor Hatmaker. Following an eleventh-hour order instructing voting officials in Alabama to keep the digital ballots generated in Tuesday’s controversial Senate election, the state’s Supreme Court has issued a stay to block that decision.

The order to preserve the records was issued by the Montgomery County Circuit Court on Monday afternoon — less than 24 hours before voting was set to begin — and the stay that will effectively nullify that order was issued late Monday night.

“All counties employing digital ballot scanners in the Dec. 12, 2017 election are hereby ordered to set their voting machines to save all processed images in order to preserve all digital ballot images,” the Montgomery County order stated. . .

A full hearing for the case is set for December 21, but the state has a green light to continue destroying its digital voting records until that time.

Roy Moore Loses by Barely One Percent

By Chelsea Schilling. The Republican Party lost a critical seat in the U.S. Senate Tuesday as voters in the deeply conservative state of Alabama elected Democrat Doug Jones in an upset race that could jeopardize President Trump’s legislative agenda.

With 99 percent reporting, Jones had received 49.7 percent of the vote to Roy Moore’s 48.6 percent . . .

After Jones’ victory, President Trump tweeted: “Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!”

Moore, 70, a former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice, had been in a tight and contentious race for a normally safe Republican seat with Democratic opponent Jones. That’s because several women accused him of pursuing sexual relationships with them more than 40 years ago when they were teens. Two woman accused Moore of sexual assault, and one claimed he groped her 26 years ago.

As WND reported, one of the women, Beverly Young Nelson, admitted to annotating a yearbook inscription she had offered as the best evidence of her claim, and the Moore campaign said the admission undermined her credibility. Another woman, Leigh Corfman, alleged that when she was 14, Moore took her to his home where he removed her clothes and touched her inappropriately while he wore only underwear. And Tina Johnson claimed he groped her in his law office in 1991, when she was 29 and Moore was married. Moore has denied any misconduct. In recent campaign speeches, Moore has claimed he didn’t even know any of his accusers. (Read more from “Roy Moore Loses Senate Race” HERE)

Murkowski Campaign Makes ‘Highly Unusual’ Massive Transfers of Funds To State Party

Anchorage, Alaska. October 24, 2016 — An FEC Report filed by the Alaska Republican Party for financial activity in September has disclosed a series of highly unusual financial transactions involving both the Lisa Murkowski for U.S. Senate Campaign and the Alaska Republican Party.

Starting on September 20, the Murkowski campaign began making large transfers of campaign funds from her campaign account to the Alaska Republican Party which were described on an FEC report as “Contribution of Surplus Campaign Funds.”

The Murkowski campaign made the following payments, totaling $150,300, to the Alaska Republican Party: September 20 – $50,000; September 23 – $67,800; September 30 – $25,500. And, an FEC Report filed by the Murkowski campaign also showed a fourth transfer to the Alaska Republican Party on September 30 in the amount of $7,000.

It should be noted all these payments were made after Joe Miller entered the U.S. Senate race on Sept. 6.

“The whole purpose of campaign finance law is so the voters can know the true source of the message and who is funding it,” said campaign spokesman Randy DeSoto. “There appears to be strong evidence in these instances the Murkowski campaign and the Alaska Republican Party are trying to circumvent the law.”

In a phone call today, FEC compliance staff described such pre-election transfers of “Surplus Campaign Funds” by federal candidates to a party committee as “highly unusual” and the sort of matter that, at the very least, “may require an Advisory Opinion” from the Commission.

The Murkowski Campaign ambiguously categorized each of these four large transfers simply as “other.” If the funds were transferred for some legitimate purpose, this is where the purpose should have been disclosed.

Moreover, under federal law, the amount of money that the Alaska Republican party committee may expend on Coordinated Party Activities with this year’s Senate campaign is strictly limited to $96,100. This means that if all these transferred funds are used to pay for coordinated media or mailings boosting Murkowski’s campaign or opposing Miller’s, there would not just be one violation of federal election law, but two.

The Alaska Republican Party would be violating federal election law for making an illegal, excessive Coordinated Party Expenditure of more than $50,000. And Murkowski would be violating federal election law for receiving an illegal, excessive in-kind contribution in the same amount. Such illegal excessive contributions would no doubt result in hefty five-digit fines being imposed not just on the Murkowski campaign, but on the Alaska Republican Party as well. If all of the Murkowski funds are spent on helping Murkowski, this fine would need to be paid from the scarce resources of the Alaska Republican Party.

On the other hand, if the funds transferred to the Alaska Republican Party were not being used for the benefit of the Murkowski campaign, these enormous transfers of cash would constitute a betrayal of those who donated to the Murkowski campaign in order to help elect her to office — not for some other purpose.

Moreover, for Murkowski, as a candidate in a close race, to make such massive transfers of money that would not benefit her campaign, would be the height of arrogance — demonstrating that she believed that she had already won the election, just as the first votes are being cast throughout the State today.

“Sadly, the political establishment of Alaska has for too long taken for granted the people of Alaska. It is time to end the tenure of this arrogant, high-flying, loose-dealing professional politician and return the U.S. Senate seat to the people of Alaska,” said DeSoto.

Joe Miller Campaign Releases First Campaign Ad ‘Testimonials’

Fairbanks, Alaska. September 27, 2016 — The campaign of Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller released its first radio ad on Monday, which is called “Testimonials.”

The ad features four members of the Alaska Republican Party Central Committee, who left their positions (and in one case was removed) to publicly back Miller’s candidacy for U.S. Senate over incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Others featured include Amy Demboski, the 2015 GOP nominee for Anchorage mayor, who was threatened with removal as district secretary by the vice chairman of the state Republican Party for backing Miller, as well as Russ Millette, who was elected the Alaska Republican Party chairman in 2012.

In the ad, former Anchorage district 25 chairman Dave Bronson states he “was removed for supporting the Constitutional Conservative for United States Senate . . . Joe Miller.”

Others voicing support for Miller are district chairs Shannon Connelly (Palmer), Ron Johnson (Chugiak), and state Central Committee member Mike Widney (Big Lake).

The ad began airing on stations in multiple markets in Alaska on Monday.

“I am very honored that members of the central committee would take the extraordinary step of leaving their positions to back my candidacy,” said Miller. “We have seen a groundswell of support during these last few weeks, which I believe will continue to grow and carry us to victory in November.”

In announcing his candidacy earlier this month, Miller pointed to the near historic low voter turnout in the Republican primary as evidence that Alaskan voters want another choice.

Despite entering the race in September, Miller has already garnered the endorsement of Alaska Right to Life and the support of the Alaska Republican Assembly.

Miller also has the support of the co-chair of Donald Trump’s campaign in Alaska and the former co-chair of Sen. Ted Cruz’s Republican presidential primary campaign.

The Gun Owners of America and conservative talk show host Mark Levin endorsed Miller during the past week.

Joe Miller is a limited government Constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. He supports free people, free markets, federalism, the Constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense

Congressman Says Washington Committee Seats Come at a Price

Every election cycle, U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie said he is “extorted” by the Republican Party to pay $300,000 for his committee assignments . . .

These “assessments,” essentially dues to the Republican party, are fundraised through political action committees and lobbyists as a price to pay for committee positions, Massie told a crowd of about 25 during a recent coffee and pizza forum in Flatwoods.

He told them, “I can’t go and do a fundraiser and raise $300,000 and stand up in front of people and tell them, ‘Well, you know what? It’s not really about the election. I need the money to buy a committee seat.’”

It’s not just that way with the Republican Party — Democrats are also expected to pay to be on certain committees, too, and the price tag steepens based on the power of both the committee and the seat. Powerful committee chairmanships can cost millions of dollars, Massie said.

Massie sits on three House committees: Oversight and Reform, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Science, Space and Technology. (Read more from “Congressman Says Washington Committee Seats Come at a Price” HERE)
