Mom Says Teachers’ Union Treated Her Like ‘Enemy of the State’ After Asking About Curriculum

Rhode Island mom Nicole Solas slammed an area teachers’ union she claimed harassed her and made her the topic of a “secret meeting” after she made a records request regarding the district’s curriculum.

“They painted me like a wanted enemy of the state simply because I submitted public records requests,” Solas told Fox News’ Rachel Campos Duffy Sunday on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“There were 250 teachers that attended where they were alerted to me being an attack on public education,” she later added.

Solas, who was sued by her daughter’s school district last year, said presentation slides condemning her at the secret meeting were leaked to her by a teacher.

She also alleged that the person who created the slides containing pictures of her was a middle school math teacher. (Read more from “Mom Says Teachers’ Union Treated Her Like ‘Enemy of the State’ After Asking About Curriculum” HERE)

This Dem State Senator Says She Focuses on ‘Real Issues’—Like Twerking

Democratic Rhode Island state senator Tiara Mack on Thursday posted a series of flyers saying she will “twerk for trans rights,” among other reasons.

Mack was responding to a video posted on Monday by influential Twitter account “Libs of TikTok” that shows the state senator “twerking”—dancing in a provocative manner that involves shaking her butt and thrusting her hips. Mack in response blasted “the media” for “trying not to cover the real issues.”

“Not on MY watch,” she wrote. “I #TwerkFor joy, abortion justice, body autonomy, trans rights, and intersex rights.” She then posted the flyers.

While Mack will likely win reelection in her heavily Democratic state Senate district, Democrats face a surprisingly tough race in one of the deep-blue state’s congressional districts. Republican Allan Fung is polling ahead of all potential Democratic nominees in Rhode Island’s Second Congressional District, a seat the GOP has not held for 30 years. The Rhode Island Republican Party is using the Mack controversy to fundraise. (Read more from “This Dem State Senator Says She Focuses on ‘Real Issues’—Like Twerking” HERE)

Sex Assault Suspect Who Faked His Own Death Found Alive — Barely — Across the Atlantic

A Rhode Island man who faked his own death to evade sex assault and fraud charges has been found alive in Scotland, reports said.

Nicholas Alahverdian, who also goes by the last name Rossi, supposedly died at age 32 in February 2020 from non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but turned up last month at a Glasgow hospital, where he was on a ventilator for COVID-19, the Providence Journal reported Wednesday.

Hospital staffers only learned that Alahverdian, who was living under the name Arthur Knight, was wanted by Interpol when authorities turned up last month at the infirmary and arrested him, the Scottish Sun reported.

The fugitive was on the run from criminal charges in Utah and Ohio, and faked his death so he could avoid prosecution, the Utah County Attorney’s Office told the Providence Journal.

“He has been taken into custody and the Utah County Attorney’s Office is working with federal and international agencies to extradite Mr. Rossi back to Utah,” the agency said in a statement. Rhode Island City Official Resigns After Having a Man Dress up in DRAG [+video]

A senior services official in Rhode Island has resigned over a bizarre ‘Mrs Doubtfire’-inspired PR stunt involving a middle-aged man disguised as an old lady.

Sue Stenhouse, director of senior services in the City of Cranston, organized a news conference last Tuesday to announce the launch of the Snow Angels program, which encourages local teenagers to help elderly residents during the cold winter months by shoveling driveways and pathways.

The event was attended by the mayor of Cranston, a group of beaming high school students armed with colorful shovels, and what at first glance appeared to be an elderly woman with a name tag that read ‘Cranston Senior Home Resident.’

It has since emerged that the ruddy-cheeked, curly-haired lady wearing pink lipstick and matching clip-on earrings was, in fact, a male van driver by the name David Roberts.

The station WJAR-TV, which aired the original press conference last week, uncovered the ruse in reports this week. (Read more from “Rhode Island City Official Resigns After Having a Man Dress up in DRAG” HERE)
