White House Says North Korea Will ‘Pay a Price’ if It Supplies Russia With Weapons

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters on Tuesday that North Korea would face consequences if it supplies Russia with weapons amid its ongoing war with Ukraine.

“Providing weapons to Russia for use on the battlefield to attack grain silos and the heating infrastructure of major cities as we head into winter to try to conquer territory that belongs to another sovereign nation,” Sullivan said. “This is not going to reflect well on North Korea, and they will pay a price for this in the international community.”

Sullivan’s remarks come after reports that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un may soon meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate on weapons. Senior Biden administration officials told The Washington Post that Kim plans to make a rare trip out of North Korea to meet with Putin later this month.

“It says a lot that Russia is having to turn to a country like North Korea to seek to bolster its defense capacity in a war that it expected would be over a week,” he added. “That in September of 2023, it is going to North Korea to get munitions to try to continue to grind out on the battlefield in Ukraine.” (Read more from “White House Says North Korea Will ‘Pay a Price’ if It Supplies Russia With Weapons” HERE)

Cuba Says It Busted Russian Op to Recruit for War in Ukraine; Not Everyone Is Convinced

Cuba‘s government claims to have uncovered a Russian operation to enlist its citizens to fight in the war in Ukraine, but not everyone is convinced Havana is being honest.

A release from the Caribbean nation said criminal proceedings are underway in an effort to dismantle the human trafficking network for military recruiting purposes.

The announcement from the country’s Foreign Ministry said the operation targeted Cuban citizens living in Russia as well as in Cuba.

“Cuba plays no role in the war in Ukraine,” the statement said, according to NPR.

“It is acting and will act vigorously against whoever, from the national territory, participates in any form of human trafficking for the purposes of recruitment of mercenaries so that Cuban citizens use weapons against any country,” it added. Kim Jong Un Expected to Meet With Putin for Weapons Talks: Reports

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un may soon meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for negotiations on weapons, according to multiple reports on Monday.

Senior administration officials told The Washington Post that Kim plans to make a rare trip out of North Korea to meet with Putin later this month.

The New York Times, citing American and allied officials, reported that Kim would travel from North Korea’s capital of Pyongyang to the Russian port city of Vladivostok — probably by armored train. The duo previously met in the same city, which is not far from North Korea’s border with Russia, in 2019.

With this new round of talks, Putin aims to secure more weapons for its war in Ukraine, such as artillery shells and anti-tank missiles, while Kim wants access to Russia’s advanced technology on nuclear submarines and satellites as well as food assistance for his starving country of roughly 26 million people, officials told the New York Times. Kim could also make other stops, including at the Vostochny Cosmodrome space launch center and even Moscow. (Read more from “Kim Jong Un Expected to Meet With Putin for Weapons Talks: Reports” HERE)

Russia Deploys Intercontinental Ballistic Missile for ‘Combat Duty’

The head of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said Friday that the country has deployed an advanced intercontinental ballistic missile that President Vladimir Putin once said will make Russia’s enemies “think twice.”

Agency head Yuri Borisov said Sarmat missiles have been placed on combat duty, according to Russian news agencies. Further details were not reported.

The Sarmat is one of several advanced weapons whose development Putin announced in 2018. The silo-based missile, capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads, is intended to replace the R-36 ICBMs that are known by the NATO reporting name of Satan.

Russian Official Says the US Is Turning Ukrainians Into a ‘Gay Zombie Army’

“These renewed troops of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, zombified and unified through gay sex, along with cult members ready to sacrifice themselves. This is what they’re preparing for us in the spring 2025.”

These were the words of Sergei Markov, a Russian political scientist and former advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a recent television appearance on Russian state television.

Markov is a former member of the Russian State Duma, the lower house of the country’s federal legislative body, a professor of political science at Moscow State University, and a lecturer on philosophy. He’s also known for his wild reactionary statements. His claim that the Ukrainian Army will suddenly become homosexual supersoldiers is just the latest.

“Military theorists and historians know which army in Greece was the strongest, remember? The Spartans! They were united by a homosexual brotherhood. These were the politics of their leadership. I think they are planning the same for Ukraine’s Armed Forces,” Markov said.

Markov is correct in his assertion that homosexuality in ancient Greece, and especially Sparta, was the norm. Historians Plato and Plutarch wrote extensively about the Spartan customs. Spartans were also one of many Greek forces remembered as elite warriors today. His assertion that the Spartans’ battlefield prowess was the result of their sexual relationships is less clear to historians. Ukraine Hoists Flag During Operation in Occupied Crimea

Ukraine’s military conducted an overnight operation on the Russian-occupied Crimea Peninsula.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, with navy support, launched the attack from the water and came up near the Olenivka and Maiak settlements on the western tip of Crimea, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Directorate of Intelligence said in a statement.

“When performing the task, Ukrainian defenders engaged in [a] combat clash with the units of [R]ussian occupiers. As a result, the enemy suffered personnel and equipment losses. Also, the National Flag has been hoisted once again in the Ukrainian Crimea,” the statement continued. “All objectives and tasks were fulfilled. As the special operation was completed, Ukrainian defenders left the scene without casualties.”

The statement did not specify what the goals of the mission were, despite saying the goal was accomplished. Thursday is Ukrainian Independence Day. (Read more from “Ukraine Hoists Flag During Operation in Occupied Crimea” HERE)

US Officials Urging Ukraine to Change Strategy as Window for Success in Counteroffensive Narrows

Ukraine has a limited window left to make strategic gains in its faltering counteroffensive as men and war materiel runs thin, and Biden administration officials are urging Kyiv to alter its strategy, The New York Times reported, citing U.S. and Western officials.

Too many of Ukraine’s forces and top-tier combat units are concentrated to the north and east, where Bakhmut lies, instead of in the south, where Ukraine hopes to sever Russian supply lines and demolish the “land bridge” between Russia and occupied Crimea, the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the NYT. American military planners have advised Ukraine to reallocate forces toward Melitopol and Berdiyansk and be open to accepting more losses before weather conditions turn unfavorable in the fall.

Ukrainian commanders have divided troops and equipment in roughly equal amounts across both fronts, likely a legacy of Soviet military doctrine that called for even distribution of resources to minimize conflict between military factions, according to the NYT.

One U.S. official told the outlet Ukrainian troops are dispersed over too wide an area and need to hone in on a single strategic location.

Two officials briefed on a call between Ukraine’s senior military commander Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhnyi and senior U.S. and British military leaders said Zaluzhnyi agreed, according to the NYT.

US Citizens in Belarus Told to ‘Depart Immediately’

The U.S. Embassy in Belarus issued an alert Monday for all American citizens in the country to leave immediately and warned against traveling there.

The warning comes after Lithuania closed two of its major border crossings with Belarus over concerns about the Russian mercenary group Wagner that has established operations in the country. . .

The U.S. State Department has advised Americans not to travel to Belarus due to Minsk’s support of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the buildup of Russian military forces in Belarus, the “arbitrary” enforcement of local laws, potential civil unrest, the risk of detention.

“U.S. citizens in Belarus should depart immediately,” the State Department advised. “Consider departing via the remaining border crossings with Lithuania and Latvia, or by plane.”

Wagner’s presence in Belarus comes after an apparent failed uprising spearheaded by the group’s leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in late June. (Read more from “US Citizens in Belarus Told to ‘Depart Immediately’” HERE)

Russian General Suggests U.S. Helped Create COVID-19, May Be Plotting New Pandemic for ‘Global Control’

The United States government officially claims that its scientists study pathogens in biolabs around the world to develop preventative measures to potential viruses, but Moscow does not buy that.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said that the United States may have played a role in inflicting the COVID-19 pathogen on the world and may be working to create another biological crisis.

“We do not rule out the United States may use so-called defensive technologies for offensive purposes, as well as for global governance by creating crisis situations of biological nature,” Kirillov warned.

According to the Russian State media outlet RT, Moscow believes there was collusion between Big Pharma and USAID through the EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based non-government organization run by Peter Daszak, to develop new strains of coronavirus.

“The intermediary organization EcoHealth Alliance has played a key role in implementing projects to study this pathogen. Since 2015, the organization’s researchers have been involved in studying a diverse population of bats, searching for new coronavirus strains and mechanisms for animal-to-human transmission. Over 2,500 bats have been studied,” Kirillov stated. (Read more from “Russian General Suggests u.s. Helped Create COVID-19, May Be Plotting New Pandemic for ‘Global Control’” HERE)

Russia Launches Its First Mission to Moon in 47 Years

Russia has successfully launched its first moon-landing spacecraft in 47 years in a race to find water on the moon.

A Soyuz 2.1v rocket carrying the Luna-25 craft launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome in Russia’s Far East, some 3,450 miles (5,550 kilometers) east of Moscow, on Friday at 2:11 a.m. Moscow time. A video feed from Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos, showed the Luna-25 craft having launched successfully.

It marks Russia’s first moon mission since 1976, when it was part of the Soviet Union.

The Soviet Union, the United States, and China are the only three nations to have achieved successful moon landings. Now, India and Russia are setting their sights on being the first to land at the moon’s south pole.

India launched its Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander on July 14. The estimated arrival time of the Indian craft is around the same day as Russia’s. (Read more from “Russia Launches Its First Mission to Moon in 47 Years” HERE)
