Biden’s National Security Adviser Issues Warning to China on Russia

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan underscored that there is no evidence that China has been providing military assistance to Russia in its war with Ukraine.

Responding to CIA Director William Burns’s public assertion that he was confident in the intelligence that China was mulling the prospects of giving lethal aid to Russia, Sullivan stressed that doing so would be a “mistake” and that the United States will monitor the situation “carefully.”

“We actually haven’t seen them take a final decision to provide the aid to Russia, and we haven’t seen the aid be provided to Russia. So we will watch carefully, we will be vigilant, and we will continue to send a strong message that we believe that sending military aid to Russia,” Sullivan told CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.

Sullivan said that deciding to provide military aid to Russia “would be a bad mistake, and China should want no part of it.”

China has publicly denied reports that it is weighing lethal aid, despite Burns’ statement. When pressed about how the U.S. would respond, Sullivan demurred, opting to keep the U.S. communication with Beijing private, though he stressed that the consequences have been communicated with China. Zelensky’s Message on Ukraine War Anniversary: ‘We Will Defeat Everyone’

A defiant Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked the somber anniversary of the Russian invasion by vowing to bring his country to victory as battles raged on in the east with no end in sight to the conflict.

At a solemn ceremony on St. Sophia Square in Kyiv, a visibly emotional Zelensky handed out medals to soldiers and families of those killed and held back tears when a military band played the national anthem under Ukraine’s yellow-and-blue national flag fluttering in the wind. . .

The 45-year-old first-term president sat at a desk and recalled how he addressed Ukrainians a year ago in a brief statement, as Russian troops poured into the neighboring country, hoping to bring it to heel in three days’ time. . .

UK Defence Secretary Warns ‘War Is Coming’ to Britain, Demands More Military Spending

UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has warned that “war is coming” to Britain, as he redoubled his demands that the government commit to more military spending.

Speaking ahead of the one-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, Mr Wallace said the world is “definitely more dangerous, more unstable and more insecure” and therefore Rishi Sunak’s government must commit to increasing the defence budget of the nation.

In an interview with the Sun newspaper, Wallace warned: “Conflict is coming by the end of this decade… whether it is a cold war or hot, war is coming.”

“We just have to recognise that in order to deter you just have to be ready, you have to be equipped and you have to stand with your friends and your allies,” he said, adding that therefore “we need a greater proportion of the public spend on defence.”

Warning that the conflict in Ukraine could last for another year, Wallace continued: “We are not in for a period, we are in it until you defeat Russia and Ukrainians can go home. Vladimir Putin’s Spiritual Missile Damns America

During his state of the nation address early Tuesday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin fired a spiritual missile at the United States.

American corporate media framed the 100-minute speech as a defensive rant justifying Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and threatening nuclear war against the West.

That all may be true. But that’s not what I heard. Nuclear missiles don’t scare me. Spiritual missiles do. What Putin said about Western civilization and America spooked me. It caused me to rethink the agenda behind the Russia hoax, the debunked left-wing conspiracy theory that alleged former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.

Corporate media desperately wants us to believe Trump and Putin are disciples of Satan, the worst international leaders to walk the planet since Adolf Hitler. After yesterday’s speech, I now understand why Putin is dangerous.

He at least pretends to care about God’s will. He called out the West for abandoning biblical values.

“They’re waging increasingly aggressive information attacks,” he said. “First of all targeting the young generations. Lying on every step, distorting historical truth, attacking our culture, the Russian Orthodox Church, and other traditional religious institutions in our country.

“Look at what they’re doing with their own people. They’re destroying the institution of family, their cultural historical identity. And various perversions with regard to children, up to pedophilia, are accepted as the new norm. And priests are forced to recognize and officiate same-sex weddings.”

American politicians, whether Democrat or Republican, refuse to speak the kind of unvarnished truth Putin did on Tuesday. The assault on biblical values goes unchallenged here by elected officials. The new normal here demonizes traditional Christian beliefs. Joe Biden, a self-described Catholic, would never say what Putin did. Some on the left have been trying to rehabilitate Joe Biden from the incompetent, incoherent bumbler he truly has been into some kind of statesman with this trip to Ukraine and Poland.

But as I noted, even that is in some measure fake. They notified Russia in advance that he was going so they wouldn’t do anything near him that could put him in danger. Then even though there were no Russian missiles or airstrikes, as both CNN and Reuters acknowledged, suddenly air raid sirens went off right when he was walking down the street with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to help the picture being painted of Biden as some kind of brave character. Talk about staged.

This morning on MSNBC, you had a former CIA guy/MSNBC “analyst” trying to paint Biden as the “savior of Europe.” . . .

That, of course, is demonstrably untrue. Let’s review the facts. Trump was president and Russia didn’t invade under him. They did invade under Obama/Biden, and now under Biden again. Obama/Biden pretty much did nothing in response the first time – they were reluctant to even provide Ukraine weapons. Trump provided them with weapons. Then Joe Biden gave a very bad signal that “minor incursions” might be okay with him and he lifted sanctions on Nord Stream 2. . .

What did our estimable leader Joe Biden say in response to Russia’s thumbing its nose at him? “I don’t have time,” Biden responded, with a weird smirk, after he looked lost and tried to figure out how to stand properly for a photo-op in Poland.

WWIII Watch: Putin Suspends Nuke Treaty (VIDEO)

Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced in a nearly two-hour speech on Tuesday the unilateral suspension of the longstanding New START agreement that limits American and Russian nuclear development, describing Western support for Ukraine amid an ongoing Russian invasion as an existential threat to Russia.

Putin also took the time to reiterate his claim that the administration of current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “neo-Nazi” in its ideology and to denounce “perversion” and “spiritual catastrophe” in the West, spending particular time condemning the Anglican Church for allegedly considering “the idea of a gender-neutral God.” . . .

Putin used his speech to announce an end to the New START agreement, a treaty passed under Obama.

“I am forced to announce today that Russia is suspending its participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty,” he declared, accusing the United States and the greater West of attempting to eliminate the existence of Russia as a whole. . .

“The Western elite does not conceal their goal, which is to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. Visions of ‘Justice’: Ukraine Wants Tanks in Moscow, Estonia Talks ‘Nuremberg Trials’ for Russian Leaders

Thoughts are turning to the end of the Ukraine war in some European capitals and how “justice” is to be meted out to Russian leaders, with suggestions from top political figures in recent days ranging from war crimes trials to Ukrainian tanks parked in Moscow’s Red Square.

Military ambitions for how to end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine took a considerable leap forward this week with comments attributed to Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov who spoke of “justice” in the form of troops marching on Moscow.

The remarkable comments from Danilov were reported in the British high-circulation tabloid The Sun, which claimed an interview with the Ukranian politician and relayed him as saying: “Our tanks will be on Red Square and that will be justice. . .

Whether Danilov was articulating actual Ukrainian policy to push the front line 300 miles back to Moscow, or if he was speaking metaphorically, or exaggerating for effect is not made clear in the Sun report. Breitbart News has approached the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for clarification.

Should Kyiv envision a march on the river Moskva or not, a NATO member state prime minister has certainly called for post-war repercussions for Russia’s present leaders this week. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference Estonia’s Kaja Kallas said Moscow must be held to account and discussed changes for the Russian people, which could imply a Western occupation of Russia, or at the very least the end of the Russian state as we now know it. Belarusian Foreign Minister Died by Suicide after Meeting Putin Officials: Report

The foreign minister of Belarus died by suicide just days after returning from a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s officials in Armenia, according to a new report.

Long-serving Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, 64, was reported to have suffered a heart attack when he died suddenly on Nov. 26.

But according to reporting by the independent Belarusian media outlet Nasha Niva, citing four unrelated sources, the liberal-leaning Makei took his own life four days after attending the summit in Armenia.

“Makei’s friends say he was painfully upset by the collapse of the course he was leading,” reported Nasha Niva, adding that those close to him did not believe he was murdered.

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko aimed to replace Makei, who had served as his top diplomat since 2012, according to the news outlet, although it was unclear whether this was at Moscow’s behest. China’s Xi Jinping Is Preparing to Visit Putin in Moscow: Report

Chinese President Xi Jinping is preparing to visit Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow in the coming months, sources told The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Xi is seeking to push for multilateral peace talks to end the war in Ukraine and stress the importance of not using nuclear weapons during a summit with Putin, WSJ reported Tuesday. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials have given indications recently that Beijing would like to play a bigger role in the peacemaking process as Russia moves further into China’s sphere of influence.

The timing of Xi’s visit is not yet finalized but could be in April or early May, according to WSJ. People familiar with the matter said the CCP’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, is set to discuss the potential visit when he himself visits Moscow on Tuesday, WSJ reported. Wang said during the Munich Security Conference that China will unveil a position paper on the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late February. Zelensky Warns of World War III if China Allies With Russia; As Biden Visits Ukraine, China’s Top Diplomat Goes to Russia

By Daily Wire. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Monday that World War III is inevitable if China allies with Russia.

Zelensky’s comments came the same day President Joe Biden made a surprise visit to Kyiv and two days after U.S. intelligence officials revealed that they believe China is considering sending lethal aid to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces.

“For us, it is important that China does not support the Russian Federation in this war,” the Ukrainian president told German daily Die Welt, according to Reuters. “In fact, I would like it to be on our side. At the moment, however, I don’t think it’s possible.”

“But I do see an opportunity for China to make a pragmatic assessment of what is happening here,” Zelensky added. “Because if China allies itself with Russia, there will be a world war, and I do think that China is aware of that.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned China on Saturday that there would be consequences if the communist country sent lethal aid to support Russia in the war nearing its one-year mark. As Biden Visits Ukraine, China’s Top Diplomat Goes to Russia

By CNN. As US President Joe Biden touched down in Ukraine to meet with his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, China’s top diplomat was traveling in the opposite direction, on his way to Russia.

Wang Yi – who was promoted as Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s top foreign policy adviser last month – is due to arrive in Moscow this week as part of his eight-day Europe tour, a trip that brings into focus China’s attempted diplomatic balancing act since Russia tanks rolled into Ukraine a year ago.
