Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is standing firm in her objection to Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) budget proposal, which she told Sean Hannity will raise spending over 10 years nearly $1.2 trillion.

“That’s trillion with a T, and that stands for trouble. Trouble for our nation because it still is involving deficit spending, increasing debt and we can’t afford that,” Palin told Hannity.

Hannity told Palin that he’d had Rep. Paul Ryan on his radio show, and Ryan was adamant that Palin would come around to his budget if he could only explain it to her.

“Bless his heart. He probably has more faith in politicians than I do, because I’ve been in this political arena on the local, state and now national level for a long time,” Palin said.

Indeed, Madam Secretary, Madam Senator, former first lady and FLOA, it makes a very big difference.

The last time we saw Hillary Clinton as our secretary of state, she was testifying before a congressional committee about Benghazi. During that meeting on Jan. 22, 2013, we heard her shriek, “What difference does it make?”

Earlier, right before one of the presidential debates, on Oct. 15, 2012, Hillary stated during a series of interviews that she, as secretary of state, was responsible for the security of the embassy staff. “The buck stops here.”

I remember being so surprised when I heard it, but I was immediately suspicious.

Palin Fires a Shot Over the GOP Establishment’s Bow at CPAC and Throws in Some Dr. Seuss Just for Fun

CPAC 2014Once again former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin wowed the crowd at CPAC and, in the process, put the establishment on notice if they do not stand for conservative principles, they will lose her support and that of many other Americans too.

In the closing address at the nation’s largest conservative conference, Palin sounded a similar theme to several of the firebrands–including Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul–who addressed the DC gathering of thousands from around the country. The spirit of their remarks can be summarized using the old Tom Petty lyrics, “I won’t back down, you can stand me up at the gates of hell, but I won’t back down.”

To the Republican Party leadership, Palin let them know that it’s time to have a “come to Jesus moment. America is counting on the GOP to get it right.” Why should any Republican get elected or re-elected who is for higher taxes, more government and more regulations? Why should they be rewarded with your vote, Palin queried. Borrowing a turn of phrase from Barack Obama, she reminded the GOP, “You know that 2010 election victory that swept you into power, you didn’t build that, the tea party did.”

Palin pointed to the examples of Senator Ted Cruz and House members like Louie Gomert and Trey Gowdy as the type of leadership that the times require. She fully supported Cruz’s ObamaCare filibuster believing it a great service to the country, and also approved of his reading of Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham” while he held the Senate floor last fall.

Sarah Palin debuted her own version of the classic tale for today’s CPAC audience: “I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man, I do not like, ‘Oh, Yes we can,'” which drew laughter and cheers from the CPAC crowd.

She continued, “I do not like this spending spree, we’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

The former Alaska Governor went on to bring up the crisis in the Ukraine and wondered why in the world the United States was reducing its conventional forces to pre-World War II levels and drastically cutting its nuclear arsenal in light of it. Palin advised, “Mr. President the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke,” prompting the crowd to rise to its feet with approval. She then added with a slight smirk, “I’m probably being too hard on the President, afterall who could have seen this coming.” Catching the reference, the crowd rose back to its feet cheering.

Palin ended on an upbeat note saying there is a “great awakening” happening in America.”The Age of Obama is almost over, marking the end of an error.” The message of liberty has resonated “since a band a brothers dumped tea in the Boston Harbor,” she exhorted. Because of that, she has hope. “The best is yet to come.”

Cruz and Lee at Top of Palin’s List if She Doesn’t Run in 2016

Former Alaska Gov. and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin closed out CPAC on Saturday and blasted the Republican establishment for marginalizing conservatives and the Tea Party after the historic 2010 elections in which the Tea Party gave House Republicans back their majority.

Palin, whose endorsement carries the most weight in GOP primaries, had a simple message for the “Beltway Boys”: “You didn’t build that. The Tea Party did.”

Palin closed out CPAC as the conference’s featured speaker for the second time in the last three years. Last year, Sen. Ted Cruz, who said he would not be in the U.S. Senate were it not for Palin, closed out the conference. Palin, whose endorsement is the most influential in Republican primaries, said that if she does not run for president in 2016, Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are at the top of her list. And she had plenty of praise for Cruz on Saturday, thanking Texas for helping put Congress on “Cruz control.”

She said reinforcements have to be sent to Washington to fight for American workers who “are caught between the crony capitalism that benefits the politically collected and the income redistribution that benefits the politically favored.”

Palin also spoke about how conservatives are now pushing back in winning in the culture wars, as was evidenced by A&E’s reinstatement of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, and took on the Democrats’ phony “war on women” rhetoric by saying Democrats think women are cheap, and that all they need are cheap lines about birth control to get their votes. Palin asking the women in the audience to not be cheap political accessories and said one will not hear Democrats scream, “I am women, hear me roar,” because while donkeys bray, “only Mama Grizzlies can say, ‘Hear Me Roar!'”

Guess Who’s Been Proven Right Again? Sarah Palin Mocked in 2008 for Suggesting Russia Could Invade Ukraine (+video)

Sarah Palin, the vanguard of the right, oft-mocked by the left, has been proven right on innumerable issues and yet the left refuses to give credit where credit is due. Whether Obamacare or IRS intimidation, Palin has been right and the left still refuses to listen.

Now, it appears Mrs. Palin was right once again. Though Palin was mocked in 2008 for her assertion that Russia could invade Ukraine, Russian forces have done exactly that.

We shouldn’t expect any admissions of “I was wrong, you were right” from the left, however; admitting fault is an impossibility for Democrats who rely on steadfastness at all costs in the face of political realities.

In 2008, then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin warned Republicans that if Barack Obama were elected, we should expect poor foreign policies that could lead to instability on the world stage- including a possibility that Russia could invade Ukraine.

Palin Mocked in 2008 for Warning Putin May Invade Ukraine If Obama is Elected. By Tony Lee.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin warned that if Senator Barack Obama were elected president, his “indecision” and “moral equivalence” may encourage Russia’s Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.

Palin said then:
After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.

For those comments, she was mocked by the high-brow Foreign Policy magazine and its editor Blake Hounshell, who now is one of the editors of Politico magazine.

Poll: Sarah Palin Has Highest Favorability Rating Among 2016 GOP Primary Contenders

Though former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was not included in a Public Policy Polling survey of potential 2016 Republican presidential contenders, she was still overwhelmingly the most liked person among Republican primary voters.

According to Public Policy Polling:

The best liked person we tested on this poll with Republican primary voters is actually Sarah Palin who has a 70/20 favorability rating. She’s followed by Huckabee at 64/18, Ryan at 58/18, Paul at 58/21, Bush at 56/18, Cruz at 45/20, and Christie at 40/38. Most of those numbers are similar to what they were a month ago but Christie’s seen a substantial drop from +18 at 47/29 a month ago to his new +2 net favorability.

IRS ‘Horribly Harassed’ Sarah Palin’s Father Six Times Since 2008

Chuck Heath, Jr. wrote on Facebook that his father had never heard from the IRS before 2008. Since then, he said, the IRS has tried to “dig up something on him but he’s always operated above board.”

“Coincidence? You decide,” he wrote.

He continued:

My father, who worked multiple jobs and faithfully and honestly paid his taxes for fifty years, had never heard a word from the IRS. In 2008, his daughter was tapped to run for vice president of the United States. Since that time, he has been, in his words “horribly harassed” six times by the agency. They’ve tried to dig up something on him but he’s always operated above board.

Sarah Palin has a New Year’s resolution — to be “more aggressive” in calling out the media for “practicing lapdog laziness.”

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the former Alaska governor and one-time vice-presidential nominee railed against the media for standing behind President Barack Obama, even after the revelations about the National Security Agency’s spying programs.

“Hey reporters, we know that once Barack Obama got elected you bailed on keeping government accountable; you’ve been abject failures there,” Palin wrote. “Case in point: Nixon’s presidency was over once reporters busted him for allowing his people to spy on political opponents. Today, the Obama presidency’s hallmark is spying (in addition to violating economic and Constitutional liberties), for which you celebrate Barack Obama. Transparently hypocritical, much?”

Do you expect Sarah Palin’s support again?

Of course, we would love to have her support. She is a bastion of freedom. She is out there working the same sort of message we are. That is, we have to get back to free enterprise, get government out of the way, so we can build up the middle class again.

Are you Democratic Senator Mark Begich’s dream or worst nightmare?

Mark Begich was the 60th and deciding vote for ObamaCare, so that’s the political noose that’s around his neck. I tell you he’s at a real low approval rating right now. We think it is a very doable race. Keep in mind that when we beat the sitting incumbent senator in 2010 in the primary, she was at a 70 point approval rating. He’s at about 39 right now.

But here’s their concern, in 2010 your victory over the Lisa Murkowski upset the establishment. She held on to the seat in the three way race. If the Democrat is very strong, and you don’t get traction, you may end up losing that senate seat.

Hey, we are happy at what we see in a head-to-head contest. This is about Reagan principles against Big Government, Obama principles. The message of freedom, the message of Reagan is going to win every day in Alaska.

The 2010 elections ended up being a pretty big year for the tea party. We’ve seen some of the freshman from that class and some of the newer members become very, very prominent. Mike Lee from Utah, Ted Cruz from Texas, Rand Paul from that 2010 class. How do you envision your role? If you end up in the Senate, will you be linking arms with those guys?

I will absolutely be hand-in-hand with Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul in the work that they are doing. And I think we are going to have greater numbers than just Joe Miller added to that liberty caucus, if you will.

This is a crucial year 2014 for Republicans nationwide. Do you think this is the year the Republicans take back the Senate?

Absolutely, I think this is the year we do take it back, in fact, I think we have to take it back, because we’ve got a lot on the line.

Palin: Read My Lipstick- No New Taxes

No one can argue with the fact that Paul Ryan’s compromise budget bill raises taxes and increases spending. Show me one Republican who got elected on that platform. Spare America the Orwellian word games. If the government is taking money out of your pocket to fund its growing Big Brother operations, it’s a tax. Whether money is taken from you via your phone bill, your airline ticket, or your income, it’s a tax. If politicians can’t be honest about this, it’s time to go home.

The TEA Party’s very acronym stands for “Taxed Enough Already.” We sent these politicians to Congress in an historic landslide election in 2010 with a mandate to stop the runaway spending train bankrupting our nation, not to wave to it from the station or – heaven forbid – increase its speed. And yet, here we are still pretending that there are no real world consequences to running up near trillion dollar deficits year after year with no end in sight.

So, where does this leave us? We can sit back and accept the increased spending “Compromised Plan” with increases in taxes and spending, or we can charge ahead to at least preserve the very modest Sequester cuts American workers already fought for. If we go with the first option, we simply kick the can down the road yet again and wait for the inevitable real world consequences of bankruptcy (see Detroit for an example of what’s in store). Or we can go with the second option and probably get clobbered by the media (so what’s new?!).
