FBI Still has not Complied with Court’s November Order to Release Seth Rich’s Records; Now Asks Court to Reconsider

On Thursday, the FBI asked Obama-appointed US District Judge Amos Mazzant to reconsider their request not to produce [Seth Rich’s records alleging they] should be withheld under exemptions under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The filing was a response to Mazzant’s Nov. 2023 order to hand over images of Mr. Rich’s personal computer, as well as an index of his work computer.

It gets better; the FBI initially claimed that they didn’t have said records – only to later admit to being in possession of Rich’s personal and work computers, along with other items. . .

[The attorney demanding disclosure of Seth Rich’s files wrote,] “A presidential election is fast approaching, and voters have the right to know (1) whether the FBI knowingly framed one of the frontrunners, i.e., former President Trump; and (2) whether the FBI is still trying to cover up its partisan political activities. . . . It is bad enough that FBI personnel took opposition research from the Hillary Clinton campaign and used it to open a bad-faith investigation of Mr. Trump, thereby sabotaging him for more than two years,” Clevenger added. “It would be considerably worse and considerably more scandalous, however, if FBI personnel knew all along that Seth Rich—not Russian hackers—was responsible for leaking DNC emails to Wikileaks.”

Many believe that Rich was indeed the source of the leaked DNC emails provided to WikiLeaks – a rumor which was fueled by the odd circumstances surrounding his death, the sudden retirement of D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier five weeks after the murder, and an email John Podesta sent to Hillary’s inner circle about ‘making an example’ of a suspected leaker, written more than a year before Rich’s death.

Witness Claims Federal Agents Bragged About Murdering Seth Rich; Family Condemns ‘Conspiracy Theories’

A witness claimed Tuesday that he heard a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) witness and an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) agent discussing how they killed Seth Rich, the leaker of internal DNC emails to WikiLeaks, in the summer of 2016 right before the Democratic National Convention.

Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who said that he was recently shot while investigating the case, presented the witness at the Holiday Inn in Rosslyn. The witness is masked and had his voice disguised when audio of his statement played at the press conference set up by Burkman.

Similar theories have pointed to two MS-13 members who were allegedly hired by the federal government to kill Rich in the wee morning hours near his D.C. apartment. But this witness makes it clear that DEA and ATF boasted about their role in the assassination.

Seth Rich’s Parents Condemn Conspiracy Theorists on Anniversary of Murder

By Washington Examiner. The parents of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich on Tuesday condemned conspiracy theorists who are pushing false information two years after the death of their son.

“We would like to remind those who are not law enforcement officials who claim to be helping by conducting ‘investigations’ are not helping at all,” Joel and Mary Rich wrote.

Rich’s parents said the people spreading conspiracy theories are interfering with the official police investigation into their son’s murder.

Bombshell: Hunt for Seth Rich’s Murderer Turns up Witness

The convoluted case of the murder in Washington, D.C., of Democratic operative Seth Rich has taken another turn, with a lobbyist who has been investigating the case claiming a “credible” witness has been found.

Jack Burkman, a Washington-based lawyer and lobbyist, told the Gateway Pundit blog: “We believe that we have reached the beginning of the end of the Seth Rich murder investigation. After two long hard years of work, we have a witness who is prepared to identify the two killers of Seth Rich.”

Burkman told the blog in an exclusive interview on Sunday that one of the culprits identified by the witness is an agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration and the other is an agent for the ATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. . .

On July 10, 2016, he was fatally shot in the back in Washington, D.C., near his apartment in an affluent neighborhood. Rich had been working for the DNC at a time when emails from the organization were provided to WikiLeaks for publication.

The Metropolitan Police Department and Washington Mayor Muriel Bowers insist Rich was randomly killed during a “botched robbery.” But others are doubtful because he was found with his wallet, credit cards and other valuables. Gunfire Erupts: Bizarre Twist in Seth Rich Murder

By WND. . .As WND has reported, Jack Burkman, a lobbyist who has been investigating the Rich murder, has also filed a federal lawsuit that accuses Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee of rigging the 2016 presidential primary. The complaint by Burkman also demanded the release of the hacked DNC server.

More recently, Burkman had offered a $25,000 reward to FBI whistleblowers willing to provide information about the agency’s treatment of the Clinton email investigation and the Russia probe . . .

Doherty, who was charged Monday, had worked as the lead investigator for the Profiling Project, a team of private, nonpartisan investigators hired by Burkman to probe the Rich murder. As WND reported, the group released an 80-page report in June containing preliminary findings, primarily concluding that Rich’s killing was not random, as police have long claimed, but “more likely (was) committed by a hired killer or serial killer.”

The project, an “all-volunteer group of current and former George Washington University forensic psychology graduate students and instructors,” said it came together for the investigation to “aid the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police utilizing forensic psychology skills and tools in hopes of providing at least one actionable item.”. . .

Private investigators have claimed there is evidence Rich was the source WikiLeaks used to obtain thousands of Democratic National Committee emails released on the eve of the party’s presidential nominating convention last July. The emails, indicating the party was manipulating the primary race in favor of Hillary Clinton, led to the resignation of DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. On July 22, just 12 days after Rich’s death and days before the Democratic Party Convention in Philadelphia, WikiLeaks released 20,000 emails from DNC officials. Seth Rich Investigator: A Fake FBI Informant Lured Me Into Parking Garage and Shot Me

Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who has spent the past year and a half investigating the 2016 murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, tells Big League Politics in an exclusive interview that he was shot twice and hit by a black SUV after being led into a Virginia parking garage by a supposed FBI informant.

A fellow Seth Rich investigator has been arrested and charged for the shooting. Burkman says he did not definitively recognize the suspect during the shooting.

“The doctor said I’m the luckiest guy in the world. They think it was a .22. One inch in either direction it would have hit an artery, and the bullets could have gone up into my stomach. I’m lucky beyond comprehension. There were ten ways to die,” Burkman told Big League Politics. Burkman suffered a broken arm, broken wrist, and bruised ribs after being hit by an SUV following his shooting . . .

Last month, Burkman received a new round of emails on his Proton email account from a supposed FBI informant using a fake name.

“He approached me about a month ago as an FBI informant who had information that we wanted,” Burkman said. “We never met, we were just doing drops through a Proton email. He gave me fake resumes that looked real and fake credentials. What he was doing was luring me to this parking garage and he opened fire. Lobbyist Claims He Was Nearly Killed by Man He Hired to Investigate Seth Rich Death

By The Daily Caller. A former Marine, who claims to have worked as a special agent with the Department of Energy, has been charged with shooting and running over Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman, who conducted a controversial investigation of former DNC staffer Seth Rich’s murder.

Kevin Doherty, 46, was charged Monday with Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and two counts of Malicious Wounding, according to a press release from the Arlington, Va, Co. police department.

The Washington Post provided more details about the attack, which was the second to befall Burkman over the past several months. An unidentified assailant attacked Burkman with pepper spray at his home in January.

Burkman was shot and run over March 13 at a Rosslyn Marriott hotel’s parking garage. Burkman was there to retrieve what he thought were documents from an FBI whistleblower.

Doherty worked for Burkman on the Rich investigation until July 2017. Rich, a data analyst at the DNC, was murdered in Washington, D.C., on July 10, 2016, under mysterious circumstances. Doherty was an investigator on Burkman’s Profiling Project, the group he formed to solve the Rich case. Lobbyist Says He Was Nearly Killed by Man He Hired to Investigate Seth Rich’s Death

By The Washington Post. As conspiracy theories swirled around the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, lobbyist Jack Burkman took the unusual step of launching his own private investigation. A man with military and security experience stepped up to help.

Now Burkman alleges that man, Kevin Doherty, nearly killed him.

Burkman, a conservative lobbyist who has also raised money for Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign official who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, and protested gay athletes in the NFL, is used to controversy. But Doherty’s arrest Saturday by Arlington County police on charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony caps a saga stranger than Burkman’s own conspiracy theories . . .

Doherty briefly worked for Burkman’s Profiling Project, which was formed to build a psychological portrait of Rich’s likely killer. While police have concluded Rich was likely shot during a random robbery, many conservatives have claimed he was killed as part of a political conspiracy. Man Who Offered Reward for Info on Seth Rich Murder Is Attacked by Unknown Assailant

By The Daily Wire. A Republican strategist and lobbyist who offered a financial reward for information on the murder of Democratic staffer Seth Rich was violently attacked earlier this week at his home by an unknown assailant.

Jack Burkman, host of “Behind the Curtain” on Radio America, was attacked at his home in Arlington, Virginia on Tuesday as he approached the front door, The Washington Post reports.

According to the police report, a man in a dark-colored SUV parked in Burkman’s driveway and exited the vehicle when he saw Burkman approaching his home, sprayed him with a “caustic substance,” hit him in the head and then drove off. The Post notes:

Burkman said in an interview, he walked to the grocery store, a short distance from his quiet Arlington street a few blocks from the Potomac. He purchased items for dinner and went home, so lost in his own thoughts that he said he didn’t notice the dark SUV in his driveway until he was about 30 feet away.

As Burkman tells it, a man in a black jacket got out of the SUV on the passenger side and, as he came around to the front of the car, put on a mask that “looked like something you would see in one of the movies of a bank robber.”

Conservative Lobbyist Who Offered Reward for Info on Seth Rich Murder Violently Attacked

By The Daily Caller.A well-known conservative lobbyist was sprayed with a “caustic substance” by a masked attacker outside his Arlington home Tuesday, according to local police . . .

Burkman told WaPo he was returning from the grocery store when a man wearing a ski mask jumped out of a black SUV, sprayed him in the face with what appeared to be pepper spray, and hit him the head before speeding away. He added that he thought “the end is coming,” when he spotted the man coming up his driveway, and said the attack “seemed professional,” though he had trouble pinning down who exactly might have cause to attack him.

“You could have 10 different causal nexi,” said Burkman, who made enemies in 2014 by campaigning to ban gay players from the National Football League.

Burkman drew the ire of many in the capital by fanning Seth Rich conspiracy theories and giving them a platform on a website he created for that purpose shortly after the young staffer’s death. Donna Brazile’s Fear for Her Life Reignites Seth Rich Murder

By WND. . . .Quit being paranoid and assuming there’s some conspiracy behind the random murder, they said.

So, if it were merely a botched robbery that killed DNC data staffer Seth Rich, why in the world would the former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee fear for her life, believing snipers might shoot and kill her after the mysterious murder of Rich?

In Donna Brazile’s upcoming book, “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House,” she writes about her fears following the July 10, 2016, unsolved murder of Rich. In fact, she dedicated the book to Rich, whom she calls a “patriot.”

Brazile, who served as interim DNC chairwoman after Rich’s murder, even reveals she felt her own life was in danger during the 2016 campaign. She says she closed her office window blinds so snipers couldn’t spot her. Brazile installed surveillance cameras at her home. And she worried that her office was bugged with a listening device.

Brazile’s account prompted Internet journalist Matt Drudge, founder of the Drudge Report, to tweet about the revelations Saturday.

Donna Brazile: DNC Primary Was Totally Rigged

Donna Brazile’s explosive book excerpt that confessed Hillary Clinton’s campaign was essentially pulling the strings at the Democratic National Committee nearly a year before she was the official party nominee is the latest proof that, even in a changing populist uprising spreading nationwide, the Democratic Party still clings to money before all else.

In her book, Brazile, the former DNC interim vice chair who fed questions to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in advance of a 2016 Democratic Primary town hall, explained how she uncovered the joint fundraising agreement struck between the Clinton campaign and the DNC in August, 2015—before any caucuses, primaries, or debates—that not only allowed the Clinton campaign to essentially funnel money designated for state parties and the DNC back into its own coffers, but gave it stunning control over staffing, strategy, and finances at the “neutral” DNC. . .

Basically, in exchange for raising money for a near-bankrupt DNC, the deal provided the Clinton campaign with advanced screening of communications sent out about other primary candidates during the primary, and gave it, as Brazile pointed out and the documents confirmed, control over which “of two candidates previously identified as acceptable to HFA [Hillary For America]” would be hired as DNC Communications Director during the primary. Bombshell Dropped on Seth Rich Murder Mystery

Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh appears to have dropped a bombshell in audio released Tuesday – pointing out that the DNC emails obtained by WikiLeaks stopped pouring in after the mysterious murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich in 2016.

In the audio, Hersh also claims an FBI report described to him by an insider confirms that Rich, the DNC voter-expansion data director, had taken some emails to WikiLeaks and requested payment for a full trove of DNC emails during the presidential campaign.

In fact, the latest DNC email released by WikiLeaks was dated May 18, 2016 – just weeks before Rich was shot twice in the back with a handgun.

“There are no DNC or Podesta emails that exist beyond May 21 or 22, last email from either one of those groups. What the report says is that some time in late spring … he makes contact with WikiLeaks, that’s in his computer,” Hersh says in audio almost certainly recorded by financier Ed Butowsky, who hired private investigator Rod Wheeler to investigate the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich last July.

Stunning Claim: ‘Seth Rich Is Russia’

Americans will be holding silent vigils across the nation July 10, marking the one-year anniversary of the murder of Seth Rich, the Democratic National Committee voter-expansion data director whom some suspect handed over thousands of DNC emails to WikiLeaks during the 2016 election.

All Americans should be concerned about the investigation of Rich’s murder, a woman who has been at the forefront of organizing the vigil in Washington, D.C., told WND, because “Seth Rich is Russia.” (In light of the onslaught of leftist attacks on conservatives, the organizer of the D.C. vigil, “Kelly,” requested that her real name be withheld from this report)

“The ‘Russia-Trump [election] rigging’ story was a complete lie and fabricated – probably to deflect in part from the murder of Seth Rich,” she said, insisting Rich was the DNC email leaker, not Russia.

Bernie Sanders’ Supporters Face Threats Over Their Lawsuit Against the DNC, Cite Seth Rich Murder

The Democratic National Committee has tried to shut down investigations into the mysterious death of former DNC staffer Seth Rich, who was suspected of leaking DNC emails to Wikileaks. They have labeled questions into his death a “right-wing conspiracy.” In retaliation for his discussing the topic, they convinced some of conservative talk show host Sean Hannity’s advertisers to pull their ads from his show.

But it’s not just the right looking into the suspicious death.

Strange Bedfellows

This makes for some strange bedfellows. Antifa USA promotes violence against conservatives. They also praised a lawyer who filed a lawsuit against the DNC on behalf of Bernie Sanders’ supporters.

They filed the class-action lawsuit after the leaked DNC emails showed that the DNC was slanting the election to favor Hillary Clinton. Many suspect that Rich, a Sanders’ supporter, leaked the emails because he wanted to expose the fraud. The suit was filed on July 13, 2016, just three days after Rich was murdered. It accused the DNC of fraud and other legal violations. The plaintiffs are asking for damages, including punitive and compensatory.

The actual complaint doesn’t allude to Rich. Instead, it alleges that Russian hackers accessed the DNC’s emails and posted them on the website of shadowy figure Guccifer 2.0. He is rumored to be Russian.

On June 13, plaintiffs’ attorneys filed a motion requesting a protective order for the plaintiffs, their families and any potential witnesses. In support of the motion, they cited:

1) The untimely death of their process server, Sean Lucas

2) Rich’s unsolved murder

3) The recent untimely death of federal prosecutor Beranton Whisenant, Jr., in south Florida

4) Recent bizarre and disturbing conduct, including threats directed at the plaintiffs, their counsel and employees.

‘Bizarre and Disturbing Conduct’

The fourth category includes several disturbing actions. Florida resident Carol Wilding, a secretary in the Beck & Lee law firm representing the plaintiffs, said someone called the firm with a voice-masking device. She also reported that an unknown woman paid a strange visit to her mother’s home. The woman asked her mother if she was around, and left a DNC vote-by-mail application. The stranger did not visit any other homes in the vicinity.

On June 1, the plaintiffs’ attorneys filed a notice with the court about the call Wilding received. The caller used a voice changer and asked her about the firm’s lawsuit against the DNC. The firm took a screenshot of the caller ID, which showed “305-936-5724.” An internet search of the number traced it to Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s congressional district office in Florida.

Schultz was the head of the DNC at the height of the scandal. She denies the call came from her office. She said she has turned the matter over to the police to investigate.

Attorney Cullin O’Brien, who is also representing the plaintiffs, said he received received three telephone calls from a “No Caller ID” number. The caller identified himself as “Chris.” He inquired if O’Brien was working on the “DNC fraud lawsuit.” When O’Brien asked him to put this in writing, the caller hung up.

The second call appeared to be from the same caller. He said, “This is bigger than you and your family and your law partners.” He referenced the news of the recent mysterious death of Assistant U.S. Attorney Whisenant. Whisenant was allegedly looking into Wasserman Schultz. O’Brien again asked the caller to put his message in writing. The caller responded in part, “I’ll play the law firms off of each other.”

O’Brien hung up, but the caller called back again. O’Brien didn’t pick up the phone. The caller left a nearly four-minute-long message. It is included in the suit as a sealed exhibit. O’Brien also said he received 11 emails from the caller. They are included in another sealed exhibit.

Plaintiff Angela Monson says she returned home recently to discover that her computer had been tampered with and was no longer working. Finally, the motion referenced the death of Rich and the mysterious death of their process server, Shawn Lucas, who served the DNC with notice of the lawsuit. The DNC has been trying to get the lawsuit dropped for improper service, and Lucas is no longer available to testify and refute this.

Motion Denied

The judge denied the motion on June 15, citing the defendants’ denial of the charges.

Two of the plaintiffs’ attorneys, husband-wife team Jared and Elizabeth Beck, often tweet about the lawsuit. On May 27, Beck tweeted that he feared for his life.

Left-Wing Conspiracy Theory?

Rich was the DNC’s Voter Expansion Data Director. One of his duties was developing an app to help voters locate polling stations. In one video, he can be seen asking officials about votes that aren’t counted. He asks, “How do we get better access to data that tell us why ballots were rejected, why ballots were cast as provisional …?”
