State Senator Says U.S. Will Soon Look Like South American Countries

Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen, a Republican from the small town of Snowflake, expressed concern at a recent GOP event that the United States is “going to look like South American countries very quickly,” claiming that new immigrants will not be able to “assimilate.”

The Phoenix New Times obtained audio of Allen’s comments on Thursday — they were published on Friday. In the speech, the senator expressed her fears that the United States does not have the resource capacity for new immigrants. She also argued that immigrants are arriving at a rate that does not allow them to learn “the principles of our country.”

According to the New Times, Allen’s comments were part of a 25-minute speech delivered at the Arizona Republican Party headquarters in Phoenix during an event called “Mormon Political Pioneers: Then & Now” on July 15. . .

In a statement released Friday afternoon, Allen said her remarks had been taken out of context and been made into “something they are not.” Her statement continues to say immigrants are welcome if they come legally and “assimilate to our country and its laws.” It says she referenced South America because she was concerned that some South American countries were “socialist.” Allen’s statement did not address the birth rate comment. . .

Allen also spent some of her speech criticizing feminism, reiterating her opposition to an Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Arizona is one of about a dozen states that has yet to ratify the ERA since it was introduced in 1972. (Read more from “State Senator Says U.S. Will Soon Look Like South American Countries” HERE)

Country Bans Material on ‘Gender Ideology’ in Public Schools

Paraguay’s Ministry of Education banned public schools from using or spreading materials on “gender ideology,” a move critics say promotes discrimination toward women and LGBTQ people.

At a press conference in September, Education Minister Enrique Riera said the government recognizes “traditional values” and the “traditional family,” consisting of “father, mother and children.”

“We naturally respect different options, but we’re not going to instill them in our public schools,” Riera said, according to local newspaper ABC Color.

Riera, who officially issued the ban in an Oct. 10 resolution, specifically called out as problematic material that stated “gender is a social construct.” Under pressure from conservative groups, Riera also said in a speech on Oct. 5 that he would burn any books that spread “gender ideology.” (Read more from “Country Bans Material on ‘Gender Ideology’ in Public Schools” HERE)

Video: Shock Report Reveals Alarming Iranian Recruitment Efforts in Central and South America

TheBlaze’s senior Washington correspondent Sara Carter appeared on TheBlaze TV Monday to discuss the growing issue of Islamic extremism in Central and South America — an issue both she and Glenn Beck have warned about for years.

Carter noted that the Washington Post recently came out with an article about a man named Moshen Rabbani, who is an Islamic cleric from Iran and a former cultural attache at the Iranian Embassy in Buenos Aires. He has also been accused of being the mastermind behind the bombing of a Jewish Community Center in 1994 that killed 85 people.

“He is the head of a group, a department in Iran, that actually spends all their time building cultural centers in South [and Central America]…recruiting young Latinos that he can take back to Iran to train and indoctrinate in the religious city of Qom,” Carter said.

According to the article in the Post, once the young men and women arrive in Iran, they are put into intensive courses in “perfect Spanish” on subjects like “anti-Americanism and Islam.” Experts estimate roughly 1,000 people have gone through the program since 2007.
