Navy Corpsman Killed in Kabul Shared Chilling Final Instagram Post Before Attack

The Navy corpsman who was killed by an ISIS-K suicide bomber outside of the Kabul airport in a vicious attack that left scores dead has been identifed as a young Ohio man, family said Friday.

Maxton Soviak, a Navy Hospital Corpsman in his early 20s, was killed in Thursday’s blast while stationed outside of Hamid Karzai International Airport, helping to oversee the evacuation of thousands of Americans and Afghan allies, family said.

Soviak’s last Instagram post, written 11 weeks ago, shared a chilling message beside a photo of him decked out in military gear with two other service members.

“It’s kill or be killed,” Soviak wrote in the post.

“definitely trynna be on the kill side.”

What We Know About the Woman Given Homes by the Nashville Bomber

. . .A young music industry executive has found herself at the heart of the Nashville Christmas bombing investigation — after mysteriously being gifted two homes by crazed loner Anthony Quinn Warner.

Los Angeles-based AEG Presents exec Michelle Swing, 29, was given two properties on the same street in suburban Nashville in the last year, paying nothing despite them being worth more than $400,000 combined, according to property records.

They include the house in Antioch that Warner had last lived in — one he gave to her on Nov. 25, a day before Thanksgiving and exactly a month before his devastating suicide attack in his explosives-laden RV.

Swing has refused to talk about how she knows Warner and has even claimed to have been unaware about the quitclaim transfer that granted her his home, which shows an RV parked next to it in Google Maps images.

By Lee Brown. A lawyer who represented [Warner] at the time, Ray Throckmorton III, told The Tennessean that the crazed, hate-filled, paranoid loner told him Swing was just “the child of a friend of his.”

“I remember him saying he knew her mother personally,” recalled Throckmorton, who said he “never asked and never made any inquires or any connections as to why he wanted to do that.”

The initial transfer — of Warner’s almost $250,000 childhood home in January 2019 — caused a “schism” in the family, leading to a legal battle that his mother, Betty Christine Lane, finally won, the lawyer said. . .

Throckmorton had also represented Warner’s unidentified 64-year-old girlfriend who alerted officials to his bomb-making plans in 2019.

American Father Had to Make Nightmare Decision in Sri Lanka Bombing

Former New York investment banker Matthew Linsey, 61, has spoken out in grief about the painful split-second decision he was forced to make on Sunday after a suicide bomber tore through the breakfast buffet in the Shangri-La Hotel in Sri Lanka’s capital city, Colombo.

“My son looked worse than my daughter, I tried to revive him,” Linsey, who survived the attack with facial lacerations, told the Times of London. “People were screaming. I was with my children. I couldn’t tell whether they were all right, it was dark. I was worried there would be another blast.”

His children Amelie, 15, and Daniel, 19 – dual citizens of the U.S. and the U.K. – were both severely wounded by shrapnel in the blast. Amid the chaos, Linsey recalled how he had to leave his daughter behind in the wreckage, believing that she had a better chance of survival, as another survivor pledged she would take her to the hospital.

Suicide Bomber Blows Himself up as Saudis Foil Mecca Plot

A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Grand Mosque in Mecca as police disrupted a plot to target the holiest site in Islam just as the fasting month of Ramadan ends, Saudi security forces said Saturday.

The Interior Ministry said it launched a raid around Jiddah, as well as two areas in Mecca itself, including the Ajyad Al-Masafi neighborhood, located near the Grand Mosque.

There, police said they engaged in a shootout at a three-story house with a suicide bomber, who blew himself up and caused the building to collapse. He was killed, while the blast wounded six foreigners and five members of security forces, according to the Interior Ministry’s statement. Five others were arrested, including a woman, it said. Heroic Dog Saves Wedding by Tackling Female Suicide Bomber

A dog died after tackling a female suicide bomber in Nigeria, preventing the would-be attacker from detonating herself in a wedding party.

The dog’s brave actions prevented the suicide bomber from causing any other casualties to the party. The failed attack occurred in Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s Borno state, where the ISIS-affiliated Boko Haram terrorist group is known to engage in suicide attacks.

“A female suicide bomber with [an improvised explosive device] strapped to her body attempted to infiltrate a wedding ceremony gathering in Belbelo community of Jere,” said a spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State, as quoted by Nigeria’s Premium Times. “She was however prevented by a watch dog, so she had to detonate the IED to kill herself and the dog. The dog was owned by a resident in the locality.”

Boko Haram is well-known for its use of female suicide bombers. Three suicide bombers blew themselves up Sunday while trying to enter Maiduguri. Iraqi Suicide Bomber Was Ex-Gitmo Detainee

A suicide bomber who attacked a military base in Iraq this week was a former Guantanamo Bay detainee freed in 2004 after Britain lobbied for his release, raising questions about the ability of security services to track the whereabouts of potential terrorists.

The Islamic State group identified the bomber as Abu Zakariya al-Britani, and two British security officials also confirmed the man was a 50-year-old Briton formerly known as Ronald Fiddler and as Jamal al-Harith.

He was one of 16 men paid a total of 10 million pounds (now worth $12.4 million) in compensation in 2010, when the British government settled a lawsuit alleging its intelligence agencies were complicit in the torture of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, according to the officials. Pakistani Park Suicide Bombing That Killed 65 Targeted Christians

At least 65 people were killed and as many as 280 injured in an explosion at a park in the Pakistani city of Lahore, which, according to the BBC, were Christian families out for the Easter weekend. The bomb went off in the early evening when the park was crowded with families.

The Taliban faction Jamaat-ul-Ahrar has claimed responsibility for the attack. “The target were Christians,” a spokesman for the faction said in a statement. “We want to send this message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that we have entered Lahore. He can do what he wants but he won’t be able to stop us. Our suicide bombers will continue these attacks” . . .

Facebook has apologized for sending out security check notifications to users across the world Sunday after the blast in Pakistan. The feature urges Facebook users to connect with friends and family during disasters to let them know they’re safe. The notification said, “Are you OK? Watch: Terrorists Comfort Crying Suicide Bomber Before Horrific Syrian Attack

syriaBefore a young terrorist blew himself up in Syria, he cried as other twisted militants comforted him about the fates of his victims, according to a disturbing propaganda video.

The jihadi, identified by reports as Jafar al-Tayyar of Uzbekistan, hugged militants before climbing into a vehicle strapped with explosives as creepy music played, according to video from Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Syria, Nusra Front.

Before closing the top of the car, al-Tayyar looked out and sobbed, his face scrunched in fear, the video obtained by the Mirror shows.

“Jafar, my brother, don’t be afraid,” a Uzbek-speaking militant said. “When you are scared, remember Allah” . . .

Since Boko Haram is Running Low on Suicide Bombers, You’ll Never Guess What They’re Using as an Alternative

Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram is plotting to use cattle as suicide bombers, officials have said.

Nigerian authorities also suspect that the extremist group, which aims at establishing an Islamic caliphate in the country, is preparing dozens of suicide bombers to carry out large-scale attacks.

Mike Omer, coordinator of the National Information Centre, said: “Available intelligence reports indicate a plan by Boko Haram to use young male suicide bombers disguised as cobblers to hide explosives in their tool boxes and detonate them on soft target areas such as markets, restaurants, ATM locations, political rallies, worship centres as well as other public places,” according to Nigeria’s Vanguard daily.

“Also, there is indication of a plan by this group to use livestock such as, goats, cows, donkeys and camels laden with explosives to attack chosen targets.”

The extremist group is on a rampage killing thousands of people in Nigeria and neighbouring countries over the past several years as the armed insurgency has risen sharply in the recent months. 7 Year Old Suicide Bomber Kills Seven in Nigeria

By AFP. A girl thought to be as young as seven killed herself and seven others in a suicide bombing in northeast Nigeria as President Goodluck Jonathan conceded his government had initially underrated the Islamist extremist group Boko Haram.

The attack on a market in the city of Potiskum, the commercial capital of Yobe state, was the latest in a string of suicide strikes in which children have been used.

The initial death toll given by witnesses and hospital sources was six — the bomber and five others — but medical sources at the state-run hospital in Potiskum said later two of those injured had also died.

ISIS Vows to Throw Homosexuals Off the ‘Leaning Tower of Pizza’

In the message, posted by a Twitter account linked to the terror group, the ISIS supporter also threatens to bring sharia law to the Italian capital.

It comes just days after masked jihadists warned of their intention to conquer the city in a video that showed the mass beheading of 21 Christians in Libya.

But rather than spark widespread panic, the threats have triggered a flood of mocking responses – with dozens taking to social media to make fun of the jihadists and their takeover plans. (Read more from this story HERE)
