WATCH: Susan Rice Predicts Foreign Actors Fueling Civil Unrest Amid George Floyd Protests

Former national security adviser Susan Rice said she sees a pattern in nationwide demonstrations protesting the police killing of George Floyd and the breadcrumbs lead to Russia.

“This is right out of the Russian playbook as well,” Rice said on CNN this weekend. “We can’t allow the extremists, the foreign actors, to distract from the real problems we have in this country.”

Rice said foreign nations have been trying to sow discord in America during times of crisis “for years,” most recently on social media.

“They take any divisive, painful issue … and they play on both sides,” she said. “Their aim is to not simply embarrass the United States, their aim is to divide us.”

Rice’s comments are similar to those made by prominent Republicans and Trump administration officials. (Read more from “WATCH: Susan Rice Predicts Foreign Actors Fueling Civil Unrest Amid George Floyd Protests” HERE)

Acting DNI Declassifies Susan Rice Email on January 2017 WH Meeting; What Susan Rice’s Declassified Email Reveals About Trump’s ‘Obamagate’ Claims; Rice’s 2017 Comments Denying Knowledge of Trump Surveillance Resurface (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has fully-declassified an email that former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice emailed to herself hours before leaving the White House on January 20, 2017.

Grenell’s move was first reported Tuesday by the Wall Street Journal‘s Kimberley Strassel and confirmed by Breitbart News.

Rice sent herself an email memorializing a now-scrutinized meeting at the White House on January 5, 2017, where then-President Obama discussed with his top advisers calls between incoming Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and a Russian ambassador that would illegally leak to the media and that FBI officials would later use for Flynn’s prosecution. . .

The newly-declassified portion of the email revealed that Comey said he was proceeding “by the book,” and that he had concerns Flynn was speaking to Kislyak too frequently, though he did not express any other concerns, including about what Flynn was saying to Kislyak. Rice wrote:

Director Comey affirmed that he is proceeding ‘by the book’ as it relates to law enforcement. From a national security perspective, Comey said he does have some concerns that incoming NSA Flynn is speaking frequently with Russian Ambassador Kislyak. Comey said that could be an issue as it relates to sharing sensitive information. President Obama asked if Comey was saying that the NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn. Comey replied, ‘potentially.’ He added that he has no indication thus far that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that ‘the level of communication is unusual.’

Susan Rice’s Resurfaced 2017 Comments Denying Knowledge of Trump Team Surveillance Raise Eyebrows

By Fox News. A three-year-old interview clip of former National Security Adviser Susan Rice resurfaced Tuesday after the declassified email she sent to herself on the final day of the Obama administration was released.

During an April 2017 appearance on PBS News Hour, Rice was asked about the then-breaking revelations about members of President Trump’s transition team having been surveilled before he took office.

“In the last few hours, we’ve been following a disclosure by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes, that in essence, during the final days of the Obama administration, during the transition after President Trump had been elected, that he and the people around him may have been caught up in surveillance of foreign individuals and their identities may have been disclosed. Do you know anything about this?” PBS anchor Judy Woodruff asked.

“I know nothing about this,” Rice said at the time. “I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today.”

Rice then pivoted to Trump’s accusation that then-President Barack Obama had “wiretapped” him during the 2016 election, insisting that “nothing of the sort occurred.” She later insisted that “no president, no White House can order the surveillance of another American citizen. That can only come from the Justice Department with the approval of a FISA court.”

What Susan Rice’s Declassified Email Reveals About Trump’s ‘Obamagate’ Claims

By The Blaze. Susan Rice Told NSC Officials to ‘Stand Down’ in Response to Russian Meddling Attempts

Former national security advisor Susan Rice issued a stand down order to national security council officials developing aggressive options to respond to Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, a new excerpt from Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump reveals.

NSC officials were reportedly alarmed by Russia’s attempts to meddle in the 2016 presidential election, including the hacking of Democratic National Committee officials’ emails, and those belonging to Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

Michael Daniel, an NSC official responsible for the Russia portfolio, told to the book’s authors of multiple plans to strike fear in Russian President Vladimir Putin with the aim of ending Russia’s election meddling. These plans included surreptitiously releasing personal information about Putin’s family, which revealed corruption in Putin’s political party, and even crafting a large cybersecurity exercise as a public threat to Russia.

Daniel additionally told the authors that when Rice caught wind of his planning, she called him and berated him.

One day in late August, national security adviser Susan Rice called Daniel into her office and demanded he cease and desist from working on the cyber options he was developing. “Don’t get ahead of us,” she warned him. The White House was not prepared to endorse any of these ideas. Daniel and his team in the White House cyber response group were given strict orders: “Stand down.” She told Daniel to “knock it off,” he recalled.

The Real Reason the Media Still Believe Susan Rice’s Lies

There is one undeniable truth within the D.C. press corps. If an ally of the Left says something, it is believed until proven false; deference which is decidedly not given to conservatives or even more liberal members of the GOP. The latest case in point is Susan Rice, the former Obama national security adviser and ambassador to the United Nations. Rice, a habitual liar, is believed time and time again by the media, so much so that it is embarrassing. Especially in light of her whopper regarding Syrian chemical weapons.

When Bloomberg’s Eli Lake dropped the bombshell that it was Susan Rice who had the names of Trump associates unmasked in foreign communications intercepts, the media fell in line to protect Rice and former President Barack Obama. CNN led the charge, using another former Obama administration political appointee, Jim Sciutto — who is now a CNN employee — to forcefully downplay the allegations. CNN’s Don Lemon told his audience that he wouldn’t “aid and abet” those trying to blame Rice.

Of course, Lemon and the rest of the MSM have no problem with aiding and abetting Rice, or any other leftist if it pushes their agenda.

The Daily Caller News Foundation followed up on the story with a claim that Rice ordered the preparation of “detailed spreadsheets” regarding Trump associates’ foreign communications. The MSM downplayed those allegations as well. Andrea Mitchell, stenographer to the Clintons and Obama, had Rice on MSNBC to profess her innocence.

There would be no problem with the mainstream media doing this if, in fact, Rice had proven herself in the past to be trustworthy.

Time and time again, however, she hasn’t.

After the terrorist assault on the Benghazi consulate on September 11, 2012, Rice went on the weekend news shows to blame the assault on a reportedly anti-Islamic video. The producer of that video was later arrested by the Obama administration. It has since been proven that it was never a video that was the reason for the attack.

Rice lied.

Then there was the fact that Rice said earlier this year that she knew nothing about the unmasking of names of Trump associates. A claim she contradicted in the interview with Mitchell. To his credit, CNN’s John King played both clips and said it was troubling, and asked “will the real Susan Rice please stand up?” It was a rare moment of truth seeking, regarding Rice, on the network.

Paul Waldman, writing in the Washington Post, said the Rice affair was a “fake scandal” that was “ginned up by right-wing media.” Yes, that bastion of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy … Bloomberg News, allied with Trump.

This week, Waldman’s colleague Glenn Kessler somewhat begrudgingly wrote about another Rice whopper. Her statement in January that “Obama got Syria to ‘verifiably give up its chemical weapons stockpile.’” After Syria launched a chemical weapons attack this week, that notion was proven to be verifiably false.

Here’s what Rice said to NPR on January 16, 2017.

“We were able to find a solution that didn’t necessitate the use of force that actually removed the chemical weapons that were known from Syria, in a way that the use of force would never have accomplished. Our aim in contemplating the use of force following the use of chemical weapons in August of 2013 was not to intervene in the civil war, not to become involved in the combat between Assad and the opposition, but to deal with the threat of chemical weapons by virtue of the diplomacy that we did with Russia and with the Security Council. We were able to get the Syrian government to voluntarily and verifiably give up its chemical weapons stockpile.”

— Susan E. Rice, then-national security adviser, in an interview with NPR’s “Morning Edition,” Jan. 16, 2017

Kessler gave Rice the Post’s worst rating for those comments: four Pinocchios. That rating denotes “a whopper” according to the Post.

Given Rice’s long tortuous history with the truth, it is perplexing to understand why the media would continue to believe her. Shouldn’t the default position of anyone in the press dealing with Rice be that she is lying?

If the media operated with that level of skepticism regarding Rice and other members of the Obama administration, it would become harder to carry their water. That is why they don’t. Issa: ‘Slippery’ State Dept. Not Cooperating on Benghazi Documents

House Oversight Committee head Darrell Issa slammed the State Department Thursday for using “slippery tactics” to weasel out of providing documents related to the 2012 Benghazi attack – and issued a new subpoena to haul Secretary of State John Kerry before the panel.

The California Republican said he’d kept his part of a bargain – lifting an initial May 21 date for Kerry to go before the committee – but the State Department has “back tracked,” The Hill reports.

“With this State Department’s slippery tactics, it’s no wonder our friends in the world are losing faith in us and our adversaries doubt our credibility,” Issa said in a blistering statement.

A second subpoena for Kerry to appear May 29 was issued, and Issa warned “further accommodation will not be possible,” The Hill reports.

“I lifted the subpoena requiring Secretary Kerry to testify on May 21 because the State Department made reasonable arguments for an accommodation and told our Committee they were seeking a suitable alternative date for his testimony on a voluntary basis,” Issa’s statement said.

Photo Credit: Fox News Lawmakers Say Rice’s Story Has ‘Absolutely Collapsed’ Amid More Questions on Benghazi Account

By Catherine Herridge.

Leading Republican senators charged Thursday that National Security Adviser Susan Rice’s public account of the Benghazi terror attack has now “absolutely collapsed,” citing inaccuracies in her statements not only on the origin of the attack but the level of security at the U.S. compound.

The lawmakers said she is clearly “frustrated” that her story is falling apart, a day after Rice appeared to scoff at a question on whether a congressional select committee probe would reveal new evidence. “Danged if I know,” Rice said in response to the question Wednesday.

“She’s frustrated this won’t go away,”Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told reporters at a Capitol Hill news conference along with Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H. “She’s frustrated that she appeared on national television and told a story about Benghazi that has absolutely collapsed.”

Aside from wrongly linking an anti-Islam video to the Benghazi attack — when U.S. personnel were reporting a direct assault by Ansar al-Sharia within the first 24 hours — Rice’s statements about U.S. consulate security are under fresh scrutiny.

On three network Sunday shows – ABC’s “This Week,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and “Fox News Sunday” — Rice said security was “strong” or “significant” at the consulate on the day of the attack, which was incorrect.

Susan Rice: Russian Military Intervention in Ukraine ‘Would be a Grave Mistake’ (+video)

Photo Credit: AP Photo/Efrem LukatskyAny Russian decision to send forces into Ukraine to restore a government it views as favorable “would be a grave mistake,” national security advisor Susan Rice said Sunday, after dramatic turns in the country’s standoff saw President Viktor Yanukovich effectively removed from office.

“It’s not in the interest of Ukraine or of Russia or of Europe or of the United States to see a country split,” Rice said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “It’s in nobody’s interests to see violence return and the situation escalate.”

Asked whether President Obama had told President Vladimir Putin to “back off” when the two spoke by phone on Friday, Rice replied, “The president’s message was, ‘Look, we have a shared interest in a Ukraine that remains unified, whole, independent, and is able to exercise the will of its people freely.’ At that point, Putin was in agreement.”

Russia and the U.S. have accused each other of interference in the crisis, which began when Yanukovich last November ditched a plan to strengthen economic and political relations with the European Union in favor of closer ties with Russia. Opposition supporters occupied Kiev’s independence square to protest the decision, which was cemented when Putin offered Yanukovich a $15 billion bailout.

Susan Rice Calls Benghazi ‘A False Controversy’ (+video)

“I don’t have time to think about a false controversy,” National Security Adviser Susan Rice told CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview that aired Sunday.

Rice was talking about the September 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and her insistence five days later — on all five Sunday talk shows — that the attack was a spontaneous event arising from a little-known anti-Muslim video.

“In the midst of all of the swirl about things like talking points, the administration’s been working very, very hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and our facilities. That’s what we ought to be focused on,” Rice told “60 Minutes” correspondent Leslie Stahl.

Susan Rice: Snowden Doesn’t Deserve Amnesty

National Security Adviser Susan Rice kept her cards close when asked Sunday on “60 Minutes” whether the United States would consider granting secrets leaker Edward Snowden amnesty if he promised to stop revealing classified information.

But she didn’t sound very open to the idea.

“We don’t think that Snowden deserves amnesty. We believe he should come back, he should be sent back, and he should have his day in court,” Rice told CBS’s Lesley Stahl.

Snowden is believed to still have 1.5 million classified documents he has yet to share.

Snowden, who’s living in Russia under temporary asylum, said he stole and leaked the documents to let Americans know that their personal phone calls and emails were being collected and stored as part of the National Security Agency’s fight against terrorism.

W.H. Sends Out Rice, Who Misled on Benghazi, to Make Case for Syria (+video)

Susan Rice famously blamed the Benghazi terror attack that took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, on an Internet video. She further said the terror attack occurred after a spontaneous protest over that anti-Muslim film got out of hand, instead of blaming the al Qaeda backed terrorists responsible for the murders.

“The White House has had quite enough of the controversy over ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, the misleading talking points she used in TV interviews about the jihadist attacks in Benghazi, and the Obama administration’s contradictory narrative about those attacks,” Steve Hayes reported in December.

But today, Rice will be called upon again to make a public case for the White House ..
