Watch: Megyn Kelly Admits Media Bias Against Cruz

After months of blatant media bias giving Donald Trump tons of air time, and seemingly being Pro-Marco Rubio (when it comes to Fox News), Megyn Kelly had a stunning revelation Tuesday night.

The Fox News anchor admitted that Cruz does not get fair media coverage either in coverage time or advocates.

Watch here:

Kelly assigns the blame to Cruz’s reputation in the Senate which hasn’t earned him as much support from his colleagues. Cruz argues that’s a good thing, and it looks as if the American people agree. Cruz outperformed expectations on Super Tuesday polling well in many southern states and notching wins in Texas and Oklahoma. Cruz Demands Release of NYT Tape Showing Trump Scamming Conservatives on Immigration

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday called on GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump to ask The New York Times to release a recording of an off-the-record meeting with its editorial board at which he is speculated to have said he might soften his tone on immigration once elected.

Buzzfeed Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith reported earlier Monday that the tape has achieved “near-mythical status” within the Times’ newsroom, and is believed to contain audio of Trump telling the board during a January 5 meeting that he is using the language of deporting 11 million illegal immigrants and building a border wall as bargaining chips in negotiations.

Smith cites a recent column by Gail Collins, who attended the meeting, in which she writes:

“The most optimistic analysis of Trump as a presidential candidate is that he just doesn’t believe in positions, except the ones you adopt for strategic purposes when you’re making a deal. So you obviously can’t explain how you’re going to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants, because it’s going to be the first bid in some future monster negotiation session.”

The last line isn’t mere speculation, Smith said, citing people familiar with the recording and the transcript. (Read more from “Cruz Demands Release of NYT Tape Showing Trump Scamming Conservatives on Immigration” HERE)

Cruz: Don’t Send Our Daughters to Fight a 200-Pound Jihadist [+video]

“I don’t think we outght to be forcibly drafting women, particularly putting them in a position where they’re in combat. I don’t think that makes sense; I don’t think it’s beneficial to the military,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told Fox News’s “The Kelly File” Wednesday night.

Forcibly drafting women risks putting them “in an unfair situation,” Cruz said.

“If you’re looking at close combat, for example, if you’re dealing with a 200-pound jihadist, the idea that we will forcibly take our daughters and put them in a position where they could be in close combat, I don’t think that makes sense, and it’s not recognizing the realities of combat.

Cruz pointed to recent studies by the Marines that found putting women in combat ended up increasing casualties among both women and men.

“It decreases military effectiveness,” he said. “And the job of our war fighters is to defeat the enemy. It’s not to be this cauldron for social experiments and political correctness. It is to keep America safe.” (Read more from “Cruz: Don’t Send Our Daughters to Fight a 200-Pound Jihadist” HERE)

Marco Rubio Mocks Donald Trump for ‘Wet’ Pants

By Tal Kopan. Riding high off a strong debate performance, Marco Rubio went after Donald Trump on Friday with new vigor — even mocking the real estate mogul for worrying that his pants were “wet” Thursday night at the CNN GOP debate.

The Florida senator spent the first roughly 10 minutes of his rally in Dallas, Texas, on Friday morning relentlessly attacking Trump, including reading off misspelled tweets and turning Trump’s attacks back on the reality TV star.

“He called me Mr. Meltdown,” Rubio said, smiling and saying that Thursday night during the commercial breaks, “he went backstage, he was having a meltdown.” (Read more from “Marco Rubio Mocks Donald Trump for ‘Wet’ Pants” HERE)

REPORT: Ted Cruz Trying to Secure Rand Paul Endorsement

After winning the Iowa caucuses, [Ted Cruz] has suffered three consecutive third-place finishes. And after spending a year courting the religious vote, Cruz has seen his pristine image blemished by charges — directed at him by Trump and Rubio — that his campaign plays too rough . . .

The debate precedes a slate of Southern Super Tuesday primaries that has been Cruz’s focus — and from which, without a good showing, it may be hard for him to recover. That means that during the debate he’ll reinforce his pitch that he is a conservative-minded Southerner whom voters in states like Tennessee, Oklahoma and Arkansas can relate to. He’ll also be tailoring his message for his home state of Texas, which also votes on March 1 — and where anything short of a victory would be devastating.

“The fact that Texas is a must-win for Cruz makes me suspect a lot of his strategy will be aimed at fortifying his position there by really demonstrating knowledge and key issues for Texas voters,” said Phil Musser, a former Republican Governors Association executive director. “Home state appeal — and a win — is a must.”

In the lead-up to Super Tuesday, Cruz is seeking other ways to reinforce his Southern credentials. In recent weeks, he has been aggressively appealing to Rand Paul for an endorsement. Yet three sources close to the Kentucky senator said Paul had rebuffed Cruz, saying that he had no intention of endorsing anyone anytime soon. A Cruz spokesperson declined to comment. Cruz Staffer Goes Rogue, Makes SHOCKING Statement About Campaign No One Expected

An unnamed staff member for GOP candidate Sen. Ted Cruz told CNN Monday that, in his assessment, the campaign is “done.”

“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” an unnamed “Republican operative” working for the Cruz campaign told the news outlet. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”

The staffer’s pronouncement comes in the wake Cruz’s disappointing third-place finish in South Carolina, “where evangelical or born-again Christians made up 74 percent of the GOP electorate. Making things worse for Cruz, Trump captured all 50 delegates up for grabs. If Cruz can’t win one delegate with demographics like that, the fears are Super Tuesday won’t be much better without a change in tactics,” CNN reported.

The assessment also comes after Cruz announced Monday he had fired campaign spokesman Rick Tyler. Tyler pushed a false story on social media that GOP rival Sen. Marco Rubio made derogatory statements about the Bible, when the opposite was actually true.

As reported by Western Journalism, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., became very angry with the Cruz campaign and its allies for engaging in “outright lies” and “underhanded tactics” in the days leading up to Saturday’s South Carolina primary. The former federal prosecutor, who has endorsed Rubio, said there has been a “systematic effort by Sen. Cruz and his allies to spread false information.”

Cruz Fires Top Campaign Spokesman Over Rubio Bible Video

By Fox News. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said Monday he’s fired campaign communications director Rick Tyler, after his top spokesman promoted a video that wrongly depicted Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as trash-talking the Bible.

The Texas senator announced that he’s asked for the resignation at a press conference Monday afternoon.

“We are not a campaign that is going to question the faith of another candidate. Even if it was true, our campaign should not have sent it. That’s why I’ve asked for Rick Tyler’s resignation,” Cruz said in Nevada, ahead of the state’s GOP caucuses on Tuesday. “The standards of conduct in this campaign have been made absolutely clear.”

Tyler originally had linked to a story showing a video of Rubio walking by a Cruz staffer and Cruz’s father Rafael, who were reading the Bible in a hotel lobby. The original subtitles on the video showed Rubio saying to the staffer, “Got a good book there, not many answers in it.”

But after Tyler linked to the story, Rubio communications director Alex Conant tweeted out the same video with what he says are the correct subtitles — and they tell a very different story. (Read more from “Cruz Fires Top Campaign Spokesman Over Rubio Bible Video” HERE)

Cruz Campaign Memo Trashes Rubio

By Ryan Lovelace. A memo from Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s chief strategist trashes Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential bid.

Under the headline, “Ted Cruz is the only candidate who can defeat Trump,” Jason Johnson, Cruz’s chief strategist, made a case against Rubio.

“Marco Rubio cannot beat Trump,” Johnson wrote. “Trump can’t be beaten from the political Left, with a candidate who emphatically supports amnesty and who allows Trump to be considered the “conservative” in that context.”

Johnson argues that Rubio has failed to detail a successful strategy after the first three nominating states have cast their ballots. (Read more from “Cruz Campaign Memo Trashes Rubio” HERE)

Something Huge Is Coming Back to Haunt Rubio, Cruz (and it’s way worse for Trump)

By Cheryl Chumley. Rich Beeson, a deputy campaign manager for Sen. Marco Rubio, is causing a bit of a stir among the conservative evangelical crowd after reports surfaced he signed a petition pressing the U.S. Supreme Court to side with the pro-“gay” marriage plaintiffs in the landmark case Obergefell v. Hodges.

Rubio didn’t sign the brief, which staffers with other Republican presidential campaigns, both past and present, have also signed. But Rubio, according to LifeSite News, has other ties to homosexual activists that, when combined with his campaign staffer’s signature, could prove problematic for the public-relations image he’s worked to create as a supporter of traditional marriage.

And Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, raised this point, while tweeting a reaction to the report: “Troubling if true. Would top advisors in a Rubio administration be the same?”

Eric Teetsel, Rubio’s director of faith outreach, was quick to counter that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s legal counsel, Chris Gober, also signed the brief . . .

The Christian Post reported Friday that Ted Cruz for President paid over $245,000 to the campaign strategy firm Targeted Victory in 2015. The president and senior director of the firm, Zac Moffat and Abe Adams, were also signatories. (Read more from “Something Huge Is Coming Back to Haunt Rubio, Cruz” HERE)

Cruz Failed to Argue Pivotal Gay Rights Case, Lawrence v. Texas. Why?

By K. Eleveld. It appears that the champion of all that is sacred and true about “traditional marriage” has a teeny weeny hole in his resume: Ted Cruz ducked when faced with the opportunity to argue against LGBT rights in the 2003 Supreme Court case Lawrence v. Texas, which ultimately struck down sodomy laws and paved the way for future LGBT legal advances. . .

Maybe Cruz didn’t want to take on sodomy laws back in the day because he knew LGBT donors could be a real asset to his candidacies. Sure enough, Cruz’s turn with gay donors last [year] wasn’t the first time he’s taken money from gays or people who support LGBT causes:

He accepted $250,000 [in 2009] from gay donor Peter Thiel, the co-founder of PayPal, who is also a top contributor to the national gay conservative group GOProud. Thiel also gave $2 million to Club for Growth, a super political action committee that put $705,657 toward Cruz’s Senate run.

Paul Singer, a hedge fund billionaire whose son married his partner and who pushed for legalization of same-sex marriage in New York, gave Cruz $25,000 in 2009.

Trump is the Most Gay-Friendly GOP Candidate Ever

By Emma Margolin. With his penchant for name-calling and plans to deport every undocumented immigrant living in the United States, Donald Trump hasn’t exactly established a reputation for tolerance. Yet the real estate mogul and reality TV host might nevertheless be the most LGBT-friendly Republican running for president.

Asked whether private companies should be able to fire employees simply because they’re gay, Trump told “Meet The Press” host Chuck Todd on Sunday that he didn’t think sexual orientation “should be a reason” for letting workers go.

The question is a significant one for any White House hopeful – currently, 31 states lack employment protections for LGBT Americans, by the Human Rights Campaign’s count, and there are no federal barriers to discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Trump’s response, however, marked a significant departure from the rest of the crowded GOP presidential pack, many of whom have pledged to expand protections for those wishing to turn away LGBT people on religious grounds. Cruz, Carson Held Secret Meeting in a Closet About ‘Dirty Tricks’ — It Didn’t Go Well

Republican presidential candidates Ben Carson and Ted Cruz held a meeting Thursday night in a storage closet — literally.

The meeting, which was called by Cruz and held prior to Thursday’s Conservative Review convention, was an attempt to bandage his relationship with rival Carson ahead of the South Carolina primary on Saturday. The two conversed for about 30 minutes, as Carson’s Secret Service detail stood guard by the door, according to The Daily Beast . . .

The secret meeting was supposed to remain a secret, until the Cruz campaign leaked the fact that the talk had taken place, according to the Carson campaign.

“We weren’t going to comment to the press on it, but it seems pretty clear that the other party involved had a different agenda,” Carson spokesman Jason Osbourne said. “How else could we perceive that to be?”

Cruz apologized to the Carson campaign earlier this month for sending out an email telling supporters that Carson had dropped out of the race, citing a “breaking news story” that CNN sent out. In reality, Carson was just returning home for a few days in order to do laundry. In the weeks since the Iowa caucuses, the 2016 Committee, a PAC associated with the Carson camp, has capitalized on the confusion between the two candidates. Glenn Beck: God Killed Justice Scalia to Make America Vote for Ted Cruz…

Photo Credit: The Conservative Treehouse Radio and Media personality Glenn Beck has been campaigning heavily in support of Senator Ted Cruz for president. Previously, Beck stated Ted Cruz’s birth was driven by divinity comparable to the birth of Christ; that’s creepy. Beck increased the creepy quotient last week when he proclaimed Senator Cruz as the guiding hand, the resurrection, to take us through the rapture.

However, the latest Glenn Beck point of advocacy takes the creepy factor even higher than previous divine proclamations, if that’s possible:

(Via Daily Caller) […] On Tuesday, conservative radio host and vocal Cruz backer Glenn Beck asserted on his talk show that God brought about the death of Scalia so America would “wake up” and vote for Cruz.

Speaking in the voice of the heavenly father, Beck told his audience, “You’re welcome. I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, look at how close your liberty is to being lost.”

Reverting back to his own voice, the radio host added, “You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you’ve lost your liberty so you’d better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the Supreme Court]… The Constitution is hanging by a thread. That thread has just been cut and the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist.”

In 2013, Rafael Cruz, who’s an ordained pastor, said in a sermon at a church in Irvin, Texas, that his son is “anointed” from high above to serve as a “king” to bring about the “great transfer of wealth” from the wicked to the righteous.

The sermon given by the elder Cruz is in line with the fundamentalist sect of evangelical Christianity known as dominionism. Dominionists preach that America should be governed by their interpretation of biblical law and be ruled exclusively by devout fundamentalists.
