Man Says Tesla Has Locked Him Out of Car Until He Pays $26,000

A Tesla owner in Canada said the battery on his $140,000 vehicle died and that the electric automaker told him a replacement would cost him $26,000 and has locked him out of the vehicle until he gets a new one.

Mario Zelaya posted a video on TikTok saying his “piece of trash” car died and that the car is locked, preventing him from being able to get in. The caption on the video reads: “$26K for a new battery. Locked out of car. Recalls are needed.”

He said he purchased the car in 2013 but said models from that year and 2014 has issues with fluid from the air conditioning system leaking onto the battery.

Report: Tesla Sacks LGBTQ+ and Diversity Heads After Elon Musk Warns of the ‘Woke Mind Virus’

Tesla reportedly laid off the president of the LGBTQ+ community and a diversity volunteer leader Monday just one month after CEO Elon Musk warned of the “woke mind virus.”

The company let go of the LGBTQ+ volunteer president Bobby Berretta-Paris who worked at the company for five years, sources told Electrek. This follows a series of layoffs by the company, including a software engineer and four-year veteran involved in the diversity program last week, who had previously been promoted three times, according to the outlet.

In a May 19 tweet, Musk warned of the “woke mind virus” destroying civilization after claiming he would be politically attacked in coming months.

“Just curious…what is your motivation to become politically active?” social media user the Angry Astronaut asked. “Why make yourself a target? You are trying to get mankind to Mars and alert the public to the danger of Al. Why sabotage these worthwhile goals by wading into political controversy? Is it worth it?”

By Breitbart. After a two-week battle against opposition from the platform’s board members, self-declared free speech absolutist Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and currently the richest man in the world, has succeeded in his bid to buy Twitter.

In a press release, the Twitter board announced that they had reached an agreement with the multi-billionaire to sell 100 percent of the company at Musk’s original price of $54.20 per share. . .

Musk had been slowly acquiring shares in Twitter in the first quarter, becoming the company’s largest shareholder at the end of March.

Trump Will Not Return to Twitter Even as Elon Musk Purchases Platform, Will Begin Using His Own Truth Social

By Fox News. Former President Trump will not return to Twitter, even as Elon Musk purchases the social media company and reinstates his account, instead using his own TRUTH Social as the sole platform for his voice.

Twitter, on Monday afternoon, announced it agreed to be acquired by Musk for $44 billion.

The former president told Fox News Monday that he will formally join his own TRUTH Social over the next seven days, as planned.

“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”

Elon Musk Can’t Get Enough of China: Tesla Plans to DOUBLE Production in Communist Country

A recent report claims that Tesla plans to start the development of a new facility in Shanghai as soon as next month, more than doubling its production capacity in China. Elon Musk has frequently praised China’s genocidal communist regime. In one meeting with the government, Musk said “I love China very much and I am willing to come here more.”

Reuters reports that Tesla plans to begin construction on a new plant in Shanghai soon as part of its efforts to grow its presence in China. The new facility will more than double its production capacity in China to meet the growing demand for its vehicles in the country and other markets.

The new plant will give Tesla the capacity to produce as many as 2 million cars per year at its Shanghai facility, which is the company’s main export hub. The new plant will be located near the existing production plant in Lingang, Pudong New Area.

Tesla reportedly plans to produce around 1 million vehicles this year. The company aims to bring its weekly production at the Shanghai facility to around 22,000 vehicles in the coming months. This would result in around 1.1 million vehicles produced over a full year at the Shanghai facility, more than doubling its original projected capacity. Faced with an astronomical repair bill, the owner of a 2013 Tesla Model S recently decided that he’d rather strap 66 pounds of dynamite to the vehicle and record it exploding into thousands of pieces than pay the cost to fix it. . .

Tuomas Katainen said his modified electric vehicle only worked as advertised for the first 900 miles he drove it. Then it started leaking water and producing troublesome error codes, Business Insider reported.

The Finnish native decided to have the car towed to a nearby Tesla dealership for inspection and see what could be done. A month later, the dealership informed him that the only solution would be to completely replace the entire battery cell. The job would cost him $22,000.

On top of that, Telsa would need to authorize the repair and no warranty would be offered, Katainen said.

Police: Two Dead After Driverless Tesla Slammed Into Tree And Burst Into Flames (VIDEO)

Two people were killed Saturday night in a fiery crash involving a Tesla, according to Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman. . .

Constable Herman said the 2019 Tesla Model S was traveling on a roadway and at some point, the vehicle, which deputies said was traveling at a high rate of speed, came to a slight curve. Deputies say the car went off the roadway, crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

Herman said it took firefighters nearly four hours and more than 30,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. . .

Once the fire was put out, Herman said deputies recovered two bodies from the Telsa and neither one of them was behind the wheel. Herman said one person was found in the front passenger seat and the other person was in the backseat. . .

“They are 100 percent certain that no one was in the driver seat driving that vehicle at the time of impact. They are positive,” Herman said. “And again, the height from the back seat to the front seat, that would be almost impossible, but again our investigators are trained. They handle collisions. Several of our folks are reconstructionists, but they feel very confident just with the positioning of the bodies after the impact that there was no one driving that vehicle.”

Elon Musk Restarts Tesla Plant in Defiance of Lockdown, Says He’ll ‘Be on the Line With Everyone Else’

Billionaire Elon Musk announced Monday that Tesla would resume production in Alameda County, California, in defiance of local orders dictating a continued lockdown on manufacturing over coronavirus concerns.

The entrepreneur, who has been in a feud with officials for trying to keep Tesla shut down, said he would be joining the production line himself and told authorities, “If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.” . . .

Last week, Gov. Gavin Newsom lifted some restrictions of his statewide lockdown to allow for retail and manufacturing to resume on Friday. But Alameda County, where Tesla’s headquarters is located, continued its lockdown and its health officer reportedly told Tesla it could not reopen on Friday as Musk had planned. . .

Musk noted that the state had already given the green light for manufacturing to resume, “but an unelected official illegally overrode.” He added, “All other auto companies in US are approved to resume. Only Tesla has been singled out. This is super messed up!”

93 MWh Tesla Megapack Coming to Alaska to Save Customers Cash

A new 93 MWh Tesla Megapack system installed in Alaska by the Homer Electric Association, Inc., will be used to directly offset electricity that would have otherwise required a peaker plant to fire up. The new battery pack will be installed at the Soldotna Power Plant (map), adjacent to the existing natural gas-fired GE LM 6000 turbine currently used to provide electricity to cover peak usage in the area.

The new Tesla batteries will demonstrate that not only can batteries directly replace gas-fired peaker plants, they can do so even in the frigid temperatures of Alaska, where temperatures typically stay below freezing for months at a time in the winter.

The battery pack is being installed by the Homer Electric Association specifically to “increase grid stability, electric power reliability and system efficiency for its members.” The Tesla Megapack installation will be able to fully discharge its 93 MWh of stored energy to the grid at a rate of 46.5 MW, so a full discharge takes 2 hours. California Police Officer Forced to Abandon Chase After Tesla Patrol Vehicle Runs Low on Battery (VIDEO)

A Tesla electric patrol car fizzled out on an officer in the middle of a police chase in Fremont, California, last week, when a low battery caused the officer to drop his pursuit. . .

“I am down to six miles of battery on the Tesla, so I may lose it here in a sec,” the officer can be heard telling dispatch, according to police radio transmissions obtained by KPIX-TV. “If someone else is able, can they maneuver into the number one spot?”

Other patrol officers were able to jump in and continue chase on the suspect, but ultimately abandoned their pursuit after the situation became dangerous when the suspect began driving erratically. CNN reported that the suspect’s car was later found abandoned in San Jose. . .
