The Largest Fresh Egg Producer in the US Has Found Bird Flu in Chickens at a Texas Plant

The largest producer of fresh eggs in the U.S. said Tuesday it had temporarily halted production at a Texas plant after bird flu was found in chickens, and officials said the virus had also been detected at a poultry facility in Michigan.

Ridgeland, Mississippi-based Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. said in a statement that approximately 1.6 million laying hens and 337,000 pullets, about 3.6% of its total flock, were destroyed after the infection, avian influenza, was found at a facility in Parmer County, Texas.

The plant is on the Texas-New Mexico border in the Texas Panhandle about 85 miles (137 kilometers) southwest of Amarillo and about 370 miles (595 kilometers) northwest of Dallas. Cal-Maine said it sells most of its eggs in the Southwestern, Southeastern, Midwestern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

“The Company continues to work closely with federal, state and local government officials and focused industry groups to mitigate the risk of future outbreaks and effectively manage the response,” the statement said. Police: High School Teacher Sexually Abused up to 12 Boys

A Texas high school teacher accused of grooming and sexually assaulting up to 12 male students is now claiming to be pregnant, officials say.

Jaden Charles, a 25-year-old former Agua Dulce High School science teacher, was arrested Tuesday after being turned in by her own mother, following recent investigations by the Agua Dulce City Marshal’s office and the Alice Police Department.

Agua Dulce City Marshal Joe Martinez told 3NEWS that the city’s investigation was initially about kids vaping at school, but officials found that Charles allegedly provided vape products to victims.

The disgraced teacher is also accused of getting the victims intoxicated before having sexual relations with them.

Senator Sounds Alarm Over ‘Clear and Present Danger’ to U.S. That Biden Caused

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) highlighted an explosive story this week about an illegal alien who was apprehended at the U.S. southern border this month who admitted to being a member of one of the world’s largest Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO).

U.S. border officials arrested 22-year-old Lebanese national Basel Bassel Ebbadi on March 9 near El Paso, Texas. He told agents he was a member of the Hezbollah terrorist group and that he was planning to make a bomb in the United States.

“That is what happens when Joe Biden and the Democrats open up our southern border,” Cruz said during the most recent episode of his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson. “And it is inviting the inevitable, which is what just happened. Hezbollah terrorists crossing our border with the intention of carrying out acts of terror in the United States.”

Cruz then spoke about the explosion in the number of individuals who have been apprehended on the southern border who are on the terrorist watchlist.

Woman Says She Jumped Through Her Window to Escape Naked Intruder She Found Smoking Drugs in Her Home

A Texas woman described the harrowing series of events after she went to her home to find a naked man smoking drugs after ransacking her belongings.

Austin police said that a SWAT team had to respond to her home after 44-year-old Larry Robinson broke in.

Elena Doguet told KEYE-TV that she had returned home from visiting her husband when she realized someone had trashed the house. Her guard dogs were barking and foaming at the mouth.

That’s when she found Robinson allegedly naked with a drug pipe and a lighter. . .

“I guess I hadn’t heard him come in, because he didn’t have shoes on or any other clothes, so I saw him and was obviously startled and just kind of froze there,” said Doguet.

Texas Wildfire Torches Over 1M Acres, Largest in State History: ‘The Losses Could Be Catastrophic’ (VIDEO)

One of several wildfires raging in the Texas Panhandle has grown to become the largest in state history.

The Smokehouse Creek fire has been burning since Monday and emergency crews have made little progress in containing it. It has so far torched over 1 million acres of land in Texas, the most by a wildfire in the history of the state, and 31,500 acres in Oklahoma, according to CNN.

The Smokehouse Creek fire is just one of several that have ripped through Texas cattle country this week. Two people have died so far in the fires. Ranchers have lost thousands of livestock with many more likely to be euthanized. Many homes and other buildings have been lost to the flames, as well.

The owners of the historic Turkey Track ranch in Texas estimate that it has lost at least 80% of its land to the wildfires.

“The loss of livestock, crops, and wildlife, as well as ranch fencing and other infrastructure throughout our property as well as other ranches and homes across the region is, we believe, unparalleled in our history,” the ranch said in a statement.

Pro-Abortion Leftists Are Mad Texas’ Heartbeat Law Saved Thousands of Nonwhite Babies

A new report finds that there were more than 16,000 additional births in Texas in 2022 — more than 13,000 of them to Hispanic women — and wrongly concludes that the state’s Heartbeat Act helped drive an increase in Hispanic children and prevented what would have been a further decline in black and white births.

The report, by the University of Houston’s Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality, notes that Hispanic women were “especially affected” by the pro-life law and face “more challenges” in accessing “abortion.” The community, the lead author said, should discuss “how this affects individuals.”

Did you catch that? This is the lie perpetuated for decades by abortion advocates: the dark distortion that you can help minority populations by reducing their number. Instead of celebrating the additional births, the scholars’ underlying conclusion was subtle and horrific — the expansion of minority populations is a problem in need of a solution. It reeks of racism. . .

Unfortunately, this sentiment is unsurprising. Its roots date back to the founder of Planned Parenthood herself, Margaret Sanger, and her advocacy of racial cleansing. Sanger, admittedly, was an unabashed eugenicist who pushed for fewer “undesirable” children. These “undesirables” included poor black children, certain immigrant children, and children with disabilities. She argued for forced sterilization of those she deemed unfit to reproduce. . .

What some activists do not want to admit is that the odious beliefs of Sanger and her allies remain with us today. They manifest as arguments for low-income women to have greater “access to abortion,” that some women are just not capable of motherhood, and that more births in a particular racial demographic should prompt a “discussion” about their abortion access. Biden Plans Alaska National Guard Deployment to Texas Border, but Not to Support Governor Abbott

President Joe Biden has initiated plans to deploy Alaska National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, a decision that appears to align with his administration’s approach to border control. The move has sparked concerns, particularly in Texas, where Governor Gregg Abbott has been actively securing the border using methods that include the installation of concertina wire atop shipping containers, colloquially referred to as “Operation Lone Star,” in a desperate attempt to stop the influx of illegal aliens into the state.

The decision to deploy National Guard troops takes a notable turn, as it seems geared towards supporting the federal government’s border control efforts, rather than fortifying the state-level security measures undertaken by Texas. President Biden’s move to nationalize a National Guard contingent is seen by many as a response to the left-leaning faction within his base, advocating for a more lenient approach to immigration and border policies. Biden evidently aims to allow more criminals and drugs through the southern border, further proving his ongoing attempts to destroy the country.

The U.S. Supreme Court had ruled in January that the federal government could dismantle Governor Abbott’s razor wire while the legal battle over Texas’s rights to defend against a potential invasion unfolds.

The National Guard deployment plan, set for 2025, has raised suspicions, since Biden’s plan is set to take effect post-election. The Alaska National Guard has been directed to prepare helicopters and personnel for potential deployment in early 2025, providing aviation support to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Alaskan Governor Mike Dunleavy, a supporter of Abbott’s border security efforts, was reportedly excluded from the decision-making process.

Recently, Governor Abbott emphasized that the new Ukraine funding bill, masquerading as a border bill, compromises the states’ rights to challenge the federal government within their own jurisdictions further adds to the complexity of the situation.

Nikki Haley Walks Back Claim That Texas Can Secede From U.S.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley walked back comments she made last week when she suggested that the state of Texas could secede from the U.S. if it wanted to.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Haley said that “if Texas decides they want to do that, they can do that.”

“If that whole state says, ‘We don’t want to be part of America anymore,’ I mean, that’s their decision to make,” she continued, later adding: “Let’s talk about what’s reality. Texas isn’t going to secede.”

During a Sunday interview with Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Haley walked back those comments when asked if she really believed that “individual states have the right to leave the USA.”

“No one is talking about seceding. That’s not an issue at all,” she responded. “What we are talking about the fact is, here you have Governor Abbott and the people of Texas, who just want to be kept safe. They’re putting up barbed wire to keep people coming in. And the idea that the federal government is wanting to sue them and cut that barbed wire, when we’re trying to make sure that we keep people out, that’s a huge mistake.”

Man Allegedly Poses as Minor to Lure and Fatally Shoot Convicted Pedophile

A 22-year-old Texan, identified as James Lewis Spencer, is facing murder charges after allegedly posing as a minor to lure and fatally shoot 37-year-old Sean Connery Showers, a convicted sex offender in Houston, Texas.

According to court documents reported by KHOU, Spencer had shared his intentions with a witness, claiming he knew how to track sex offenders using a phone app and expressing a desire to rob and harm them. When Spencer believed the authorities were not taking sufficient action, he allegedly decided to take matters into his own hands.

During a probable cause court hearing on Thursday, cellphone records revealed that Spencer and the victim had been in contact. The court documents suggest that Spencer, posing as a minor, engaged in discussions with Showers about his sexual history with minors before arranging to meet him. Showers agreed to meet with the intention to have sex with a minor.

The Houston Police Department launched an investigation after receiving a report of an unresponsive man in a ditch at 900 Northwood Street. Upon arrival, officers identified the victim as Showers, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation indicated that Showers was walking along the roadway when a vehicle approached him, and someone from inside the vehicle shot him.

Further investigative efforts led authorities to identify Spencer as the suspect in the case, resulting in his arrest on Wednesday. A Harris County judge set Spencer’s bond at $250,000, and his bond conditions include 24-hour house arrest, a GPS monitor, and strict prohibitions on accessing firearms, ammunition, or weapons.

Report: Adult Son Fatally Beats Elderly Father With Ceramic Bowl, Police Find Him Playing Video Games Shortly After

In a shocking and disturbing incident, a 45-year-old man in San Antonio, Texas, is accused of brutally beating his elderly father to death with a ceramic bowl. The harrowing details emerged after police responded to a welfare check requested by a home health care agency concerned about the couple’s well-being.

The San Antonio police arrived at the Three Fountains apartment complex on January 19 around 6 p.m. after attempts to reach the couple were unsuccessful. Upon entering the unit with the assistance of a maintenance person, officers were met with a grisly scene. A woman, later identified as the 85-year-old victim’s wife, was found in an injured state inside a room. She revealed that her son, James Gordon Barber, had attacked them the night before.

The police discovered the lifeless body of an 85-year-old man covered with blankets on the ground. Investigators later determined that the elderly father had succumbed to blunt force injuries inflicted by a broken ceramic bowl, which was found at the crime scene with traces of blood.

Disturbingly, when the police located James Gordon Barber, he was reportedly playing video games. Authorities noted that Barber, who did not resist arrest, was uttering incoherent statements. The couple had endured the assault approximately 20 hours before the police discovered them.

The motive behind the brutal attack remains unclear, but a family member informed KENS-TV that Barber had been grappling with severe mental health issues. After a recent divorce, he had moved in with his parents, raising concerns about his well-being.

The 57-year-old mother suffered life-threatening injuries, including head trauma and fractures, and was promptly admitted to a hospital for medical attention. Meanwhile, Barber has been charged with murder and aggravated assault, with a bond set at $400,000.
