A Utah woman received two consecutive sentences of 25 years to life in prison Friday after pleading guilty to murdering her parents, as her brother blamed what he called the reckless prescription of sex-change hormones.

Mia Bailey received two consecutive sentences of 25 years to life for the murders of her parents, Joseph Bailey, 70, and Gail Bailey, 69, according to a news release from the Washington County Attorney’s Office. The court added up to five years for aggravated assault stemming from the same attack.

Prosecutors said Bailey broke into her parents’ Washington City home on June 18, 2024, and shot her father twice in the head and her mother four times. After killing her parents, Bailey fired shots through her brother’s bedroom door while he and his wife barricaded themselves inside, according to prior reporting by KUTV.

Police arrested Bailey the following day and charged her with 11 felony counts tied to the double homicide and the attempted killing of her brother. She later pleaded guilty in November, admitting in court documents that she intentionally shot and killed her parents, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Defense attorney Ryan Stout urged the judge to impose concurrent sentences, arguing Bailey had no criminal record and suffered from severe mental illness that left her functioning at the level of a young child. Court records listed diagnoses that included autism, psychosis, schizophrenia, ADHD and OCD, with possible bipolar disorder, The Salt Lake Tribune stated. Four Republicans Break Ranks, Vote Against Ban on Child Sex Change Procedures

Four House Republicans joined Democrats in opposing legislation that would ban irreversible sex change procedures for minors — a move that exposes just how fractured the GOP has become on protecting children.

The House on Wednesday evening passed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which would criminalize puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical procedures for minors seeking to alter their biological sex. The bill marks the first time a nationwide ban on child sex changes has reached the House floor.

Despite overwhelming Republican messaging against gender ideology, Reps. Gabe Evans of Colorado, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Mike Kennedy of Utah, and Mike Lawler of New York voted against the measure.

Their opposition came even as three Democrats — Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas and Don Davis of North Carolina — crossed party lines to support the bill. All three represent competitive swing districts that Republicans are targeting in the next election cycle, underscoring the political risks Democrats increasingly face on the issue.

Greene’s legislation would make performing sex change procedures on minors a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Parents and adults who assist minors in obtaining such procedures would also face penalties.

The bill simply codifies what common sense already dictates: children are not capable of consenting to permanent medical interventions that can sterilize them, alter their development, and cause lifelong harm.

“Republicans showed today that they are as committed to protecting children as Democrats are to disfiguring them,” said Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project. “Democrats have been captured by an ideology that is as poisonous as it is profitable.”

The vote also exposed bitter infighting within the Republican conference. Greene secured a floor vote on her bill by leveraging her support for a procedural vote advancing the annual National Defense Authorization Act — a tactic that drew sharp criticism from Texas Rep. Chip Roy.

“That’s the kind of [stuff] that happens around this institution and I’m sick of it,” Roy said during a House Rules Committee meeting, accusing leadership of trading votes.

Greene fired back, accusing Roy of attempting to weaken her legislation and enable what she described as the continued “trans agenda on kids.” Roy countered that narrowing the bill could improve its chances in the Senate.

For many conservatives, the argument rang hollow. More than half of U.S. states have already enacted bans on child sex changes, and public support for protecting minors from such procedures continues to grow.

Florida Sues Medical Organizations Pushing Sex Changes for Minors

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier filed a lawsuit against several medical organizations on Tuesday, accusing them of engaging in a coordinated effort urging physicians to perform transgender sex change surgeries on minors without proper evidence.

The lawsuit is specifically filed against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics and accuses the organizations of pushing mutilating sex changes for minors without proper evidence proving safety and efficacy, in violation of consumer protection and racketeering laws.

“We believe these organizations failed to disclose the risks, limits, and evidence when promoting so-called gender affirming care for children. For years, these groups insisted the recommendations were settled science, but behind closed doors, they knew the evidence was weak,” Uthmeier said in a video announcement of the lawsuit. “They knew the outcomes — uncertain, and the risks — very real. Parents were not told the full story. In fact, some parents were told that if they didn’t put their kids through permanent life, altering sick procedures like double mastectomies and castration, that their child would commit suicide.”

“Not only is that unethical and dangerous medicine, but it is against the law. Children were irrevocably harmed because truth was replaced with political activism,” he continued. “When organizations make medical claims, they have a duty to be honest. When they intentionally mislead families, their members, and the medical profession, we hold them accountable. Florida will always follow the evidence, protect children, and defend parents’ rights to make informed decisions.”

WPATH is considered the leading “transgender” healthcare organization, with its guidance for gender dysphoric individuals being widely used in American, British, and Canadian hospitals. The group influences health insurance policies and other health organizations such as the Endocrine Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Trans Pervert Who Sexually Assaulted 13-Year-Old Girl Claims Jury Was ‘Hypnotized’ into Convicting Him

A transgender-identifying pervert convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl told a judge he “wasn’t attracted to females” and claimed the police and jury were “hypnotized” into finding him guilty.

“Natalie Wolf,” a 47-year-old man born as Ryan Haley who pretends to be a woman, is accused of trying to grope a 13-year-old girl’s chest and touch her groin during an attack in Sutherland, England, the New York Post reported.

Wolf was convicted of sexual activity with a child and was sentenced on November 28 in Newcastle Crown Court to three and a half years in a male prison, according to the report.

During sentencing, Judge Gavin Doig read several notes he received from Wolf claiming there was a grand conspiracy to put him behind bars, the Newcastle Chronicle reported.

Wolf specifically claimed the victim “hypnotized” police officers and said the jury was also hypnotized into convicting him. He accused the victim of “lying through her teeth” and said, “I’m not even sexually attracted to females in that way,” according to the report. Transgender Cult Leader Goes On Anti-Trump Tirade In Courtroom

The transgender “Zizians” cult leader refused to answer basic questions and ranted about President Donald Trump during his Monday arraignment on a gun charge, The Baltimore Banner reported.

Jack “Ziz” LaSota, whose February arrest in Maryland concluded a nationwide manhunt, said Trump wants “genocide” against transgender people when a judge asked if he understood his charges, according to the outlet. The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged LaSota with possessing firearms and ammunition as a fugitive from justice after police found him and two others allegedly hiding in a box truck with loads of weapons. This was one of several strange crimes linked to the so-called Zizians.

“Your government is currently going around scooping up brown people and disappearing them,” the 33-year-old reportedly said while shackled by the ankles. “I’m transgender, and the intentions of this regime towards transgender people are very clear: genocide.”

LaSota declared that the judge was part of “an organized crime ring” run by the “states united in slavery,” according to The Baltimore Banner. When asked to state his name, he reportedly replied, “Justice,” and for his age, “Timeless.”

World’s Strongest Woman Winner Stripped of Title After Organizers Discovered She Was Born a Man

The controversial winner of the World’s Strongest Woman competition was stripped of her title Tuesday after organizers claimed the hulking American never told them she was born a man.

Jammie Booker was disqualified just days after she destroyed the competition at the Official Strongman Games World Championship in Arlington, Texas, over the weekend.

Organizers said Booker, from Philadelphia, violated the contest’s rules, which clearly stipulate that athletes must compete in the category that aligns with their biological sex at birth.

“It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as female competed in the Women’s Open category,” organizers said in a social media statement announcing the decision.

Bishops Vote To Prohibit Trans Surgeries And Hormone Treatment In Catholic Hospitals

U.S. Catholic bishops voted to prohibit transgender surgeries and the use of cross-sex hormones in Catholic hospitals, in a show of solidarity with Catholic physicians and medical groups who have advocated for an end to the procedures for more than a decade.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) met Nov. 11-13 in Baltimore, Maryland, for their biannual plenary assembly, in which bishops, individuals, and organizations determine and discuss church policy. On Nov. 12, bishops overwhelmingly voted to approve updates to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services (ERDs), including the prohibition of transgender surgical and hormonal manipulation.

The vote is significant, as more than one in seven patients are served in Catholic hospitals daily. Catholic health facilities serve patients in all 50 states, overseeing more than 600 hospitals and 1600 other health care facilities.

The Catholic Medical Association (CMA) has raised concerns over the dangers of transgender interventions for at least 20 years, with significantly increased attention over the past decade, said Dr. Tim Millea, CMA health care policy chairman.

In a 2016 publication, the CMA highlighted research conducted by Dr. Michelle Cretella, a CMA member and president of the American College of Pediatricians, who had specialized in adolescent mental and sexual health for years and witnessed the damage done by physicians experimenting on gender-confused youth. At the time, Cretella was supporting parent groups fighting for female- or male-only bathrooms and locker rooms in schools. NFL’s First Transgender Cheerleader Says Panthers Fired Him Because He Is Trans

The NFL’s first transgender cheerleader, Justine Lindsay, claims he was fired by the Carolina Panthers just because he is a trans person.

“I was cut because I’m trans,” Lindsay claimed in an Instagram Live video, according to Blavity. “I don’t wanna hear nobody saying ‘She didn’t wanna come back.’ Why the hell would I not wanna come back to an organization that I’ve been a part of for three years?”

Lindsay says he is “devastated,” “stung,” and “hurt” by the firing, but is not necessarily attacking the Panthers. . .

New Jersey Korean Spa Forced to Allow Trans Women in Female Nude Section After Being Sued

A popular Korean spa in New Jersey, where nudity is compulsory, will now let transgender women use the female-only section — even if they have male genitals — after being slapped with a lawsuit.

King Spa in Palisades Park recently changed its policies after it was sued by a trans woman for refusing to let [him] use the female facilities — despite [him] still having male anatomy, according to court documents obtained by The Post.

Under the change, the spa’s policy now clearly states that any guest may use the locker room that aligns with the gender identity displayed on their government- or state-issued photo ID.

If any spa-goer is uncomfortable with sharing facilities with a trans person who may have different genitalia from them, the policy states the customer can either request a private spa or give up use of the communal facilities going forward.

The wellness facility, which models itself after the traditional Korean spa known as a jimjilbang, requires men and women to be segregated in certain areas where clothing and any form of covering is banned. New Zealand bans puberty blockers for transgender minors

New Zealand health officials announced Wednesday that new prescriptions for puberty blockers will no longer be issued to children identifying as transgender.

Doctors will stop prescribing the gender-affirming medication — gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues — to minors starting Dec. 19, after the health ministry cited a lack of “high-quality evidence that demonstrates the benefits or risks,” Health Minister Simeon Brown said.

Existing patients can still access the medication for gender dysphoria or other conditions, such as early-onset puberty, endometriosis, and prostate cancer.

Officials said 113 people were using puberty blockers in 2023 — down from 140 in 2021.

Hormone blockers can pause puberty and are occasionally used to treat children with gender dysphoria.
