Why Puberty Blockers Are a Clear Danger to Children’s Health

. . .Citing guidelines issued by the political advocacy group World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), these physicians admit that the effects of cross-sex hormones are generally irreversible. Vulnerable patients who agree to this treatment are thus crossing the Rubicon into permanent bodily impairment.

However, most doctors insist that puberty blockers are safe and fully reversible, so that patients who decide not to continue with the “transition” can get their healthy bodies back. But mounting medical evidence shows the fallacy of the cavalier implication that puberty blockers are as harmless as aspirin and can be discontinued with as little effect. . .

One of the puberty blockers frequently administered to girls who identify as boys (female-to-male, or FtM) is called Lupron. Lupron belongs to a class of drugs called gonadotrophin hormone-releasing (GnRH) agonists and is used to suppress estrogen production, thereby delaying the physical changes of puberty in a pre-pubescent female patient.

The argument is that this will give the girl more time to “explore her identity,” an easier path to physical transitioning before her body matures, and a chance to decide if she wants to pursue more serious measures such as cross-sex hormones and surgery. (More on that later.) The first claim is that Lupron is safe. But thousands of patients who have been treated with Lupron for non-sex-related conditions would disagree.

Lupron was originally Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved to treat prostate cancer, but it’s now routinely prescribed for other conditions such as endometriosis and “precocious puberty” — i.e., puberty that begins too early (generally considered under age eight for girls, under age nine for boys). Many of these patients have experienced extreme side effects that shattered their health and their lives, including severe joint pain, osteoporosis, compromised immune systems, and mental health issues such as severe depression and even suicidal ideation. Teacher Fired for Using Wrong Pronoun for Transgender; 100 Students Protest Firing

By Newsweek. A high school teacher in Virginia has been fired after refusing to refer to one of his students using [her] preferred pronoun.

Peter Vlaming, a French teacher at West Point High School, was fired after the School Board voted 5-0 in favor of terminating his role.

The decision was made after Vlaming disobeyed orders to refer to a ninth-grade student as a male following [her] gender transition. The case is believed to be the first of its kind in the state, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

West Point Students Walk out of Class to Support Fired Teacher

By The Virginia Gazette. About 100 middle and high school students in West Point held a walkout in support of a teacher who was fired for refusing to use a transgender student’s preferred pronoun.

The West Point Public School Board voted unanimously 5-0 Thursday night to support division Superintendent Laura Abel’s recommendation to terminate French teacher Peter Vlaming’s employment, saying his actions harassed and discriminated against the student and were insubordinate.

The walkout began at 12:15 p.m. outside of the high school, and students trickled out of the school to protest the firing.

Students held signs reading “Justice for Vlaming” and “Save Vlaming,” as well as made shirts with French flags and signatures from classmates on them.

He Played Handball for Australia’s Men’s Team. Now Transgender, He’s Dominating Women’s Handball.

Standing at six-foot-two and weighing-in at 220 pounds, male-to-female transgender handballer Hannah Mouncey is dominating at the women’s Asian Championships in Japan. . .

According to Handbolls Kanalen, Mouncey scored four goals in a match against Kazakhstan on Friday and contributed a combined eight goals in matches against Japan and Iran.

“Australia defeated Iran by 29-24 and the result may turn out to be gold worth. If they finish in fifth place or better, Oceania is winning a World Cup through the Asian Championship. It also means that IHF will not have a wild card to share,” reports the Swedish outlet.

Due to Mouncey’s weight, height, and testosterone levels, he was barred from entering the Australian Football League, Women’s (AFLW) draft, last year. Mouncey wrote a piece for The Guardian in September blasting the AFL for their regulations. He noted specifically that the weight regulation is a form of “body shaming” and a blow to all women, transgender or not.

“My biggest concern is the fact that weight is being used as one of the key physical measures for possible exclusion. Forget the fact that in a game that has such an emphasis on endurance and speed, being heavy is not necessarily an advantage and think about the message it sends to women and girls about their bodies: if you’re too big, you can’t play. That is incredibly dangerous and backward,” Mouncey said.

Celine Dion’s Clothes for Kids ‘Definitely Satanic’

As swiftly as the advertising campaign for Celine Dion’s new “gender neutral” children’s clothing line launched, judgment –– which sees intrinsic evil being inflicted upon these innocent babes – has crashed upon the ill-advised effort.

The commercial, intended to be humorous, is dark. Dion, in what appears to be an act of sorcery, blows a handful of black dust in a hospital nursery filled with babies dressed in pastel pink or blue. Suddenly, black crosses hang in the air over the children as they find themselves clothed in drab black and white onesies covered in stars and messages in big letters declaring “NEW ORDER.” Images of skulls encircle the infants’ heads.

“I’m convinced that the way this gender thing has spread is demonic,” Msgr. John Esseff told the National Catholic Register. “It’s false. I don’t even know how many genders there’s supposed to be now, but there are only two that God made.”

“The devil is going after children by confusing gender,” he continued. “When a child is born, what is the first things we say about that child? It’s a boy, or it’s a girl. That is the most natural thing in the world to say. But to say that there is no difference is satanic.”

The Real-World Consequences of Submitting to the Transgender Zeitgeist

. . .As it turns out, there are indeed public-policy consequences to the question of transgender pronouns. Those public-policy questions all revolve around a central issue: Can subjective perception trump objective observation? If the answer is yes, tyranny of the individual becomes the order of the day. We all must bow before the subjective wants, needs, and desires of people who require special protection from life’s realities. We must reeducate generations of people to ignore science in favor of feelings. We must strong-arm individuals into abandoning central planks of their morality in the name of sensitivity. . .

Meanwhile, Twitter announced this week that it would seek to ban those who “misgender” or “deadname” transgender people. In other words, if you note that Chelsea Manning or Caitlyn Jenner is a man, or if you use the names “Bradley” or “Bruce” with regard to the aforementioned transgender people, Twitter could ban you for “repeated and/or non-consensual slurs.” So you will abide by subjective self-definition, or you will be censored. Twitter recently banned a leftist feminist for merely noting that sex is biological and that men cannot become women.

It doesn’t stop there. As Walt Heyer of The Federalist reports, a Texas divorce case now pits a mother who dresses her six-year-old male child, James, as a girl and calls him “Luna” against James’s father, whom she is accusing of child abuse for refusing to treat James as a girl. Heyer reports, “She is also seeking to require him to pay for the child’s visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight.” James, as it turns out, prefers being called James and being treated as a boy by his father. That’s not stopping Mom. Refusing to abide by the judgment of a six-year-old — or in this case, a six-year-old’s mom — could mean losing your child in a world where we treat sex as malleable.

There are real-world consequences to the deliberate rewriting of basic biology, and the substitution of subjectivity for objectivity. It means rewriting business operation, school curricula, medical treatment standards, censorship rules, and even parenting. Sympathy for those who suffer from gender dysphoria is obviously proper — no one wants transgender people harmed or targeted. But sympathy for a mental disorder should not trump either objective reality or competing priorities based on those objective realities. “The Emperor’s New Clothes” is not a story about the wonderful sensitivity of a population educated on the subjective desires of a ruler ensconced in sartorial self-definition. Falsehood crumbles in the light of day, no matter how sympathetic we are to those who wish to perpetuate it — unless force becomes the order of the day. Mom Dresses Six-Year-Old Son as Girl, Threatens Dad With Losing His Son for Disagreeing

Six-year-old James is caught in a gender identity nightmare. Under his mom’s care in Dallas, Texas, James obediently lives as a trans girl named “Luna.” But given the choice when he’s with dad, he’s all boy — his sex at birth.

In their divorce proceedings, the mother has charged the father with child abuse for not affirming James as transgender, has sought restraining orders against him, and is seeking to terminate his parental rights. She is also seeking to require him to pay for the child’s visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight. . .

When his mother, a pediatrician, took James for counseling, she chose a gender transition therapist who diagnosed him with gender dysphoria, a mental conflict between physical sex and perceived gender. James’ precious young life hinges purely on the diagnosis of gender dysphoria by a therapist who wraps herself in rainbow colors, affirms the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, and dismisses evidence to the contrary. Remove the “rainbow” from James’ diagnosis, and it crumbles under the weight of the criteria for the diagnosis of gender dysphoria. . .

The criteria for a diagnosis of childhood gender dysphoria are that a child be persistent, consistent, and insistent about being the opposite sex. James’s mom is “all in” on the diagnosis of gender dysphoria and assisting with social transition. She used the name Luna to enroll him as a girl in first grade, and provides only female clothes.

Meanwhile, Dad isn’t seeing signs of gender dysphoria. In the father’s home, James appears to be a normal boy and doesn’t identify as a girl. He has a choice of boy’s or girl’s clothes there, and he chooses to dress as a boy. The fact that James changes gender identity depending on which parent is present makes the diagnosis of gender dysphoria both dubious and harmful. Top Court Asked to Rule If Male Students Claiming to Be ‘Girls’ Can Use Girls’ Shower

The controversy over forcing boys and girls to share restrooms in public schools may finally get a hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court, if the body agrees to a request by the pro-religious liberty firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).

At issue is a complaint by four high school students in Boyertown, Pennsylvania who object to being forced to share restrooms and locker rooms with teens who “identify” as a member of the opposite sex. They argue that Boyertown Area School District is violating their privacy rights in the name of transgenderism.

The first complainant, identified as “Joel Doe,” says he was changing in a locker room when he unexpectedly encountered an undressed female student. He reported the October 2016 incident, but was told students could now choose their preferred locker rooms based on their subjective self-identification. Neither parents nor students were given advance notice of the change, according to ADF.

“I was sure they would tell the boy he was wrong for him to be in the girls’ bathroom, but they didn’t. They said this is the way things are going to be,” student Alexis Lightcap, who grew up in the foster system until she was eleven, recalled. “Instead of listening to my concerns, they made me feel like I was the problem for feeling uncomfortable, unsafe, and vulnerable with a boy in my bathroom.”

Regardless, in May a three-judge panel of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously rejected the students’ case after just twenty minutes of deliberation. During oral arguments, U.S. Circuit Judge Theodore McKee telegraphed the panel’s leanings by going so far as to admonish ADF attorney Randall Wenger for using “sex” and “opposite sex” instead of “transgender boy or girl,” because the latter were more “respectful” terms that “enhance[d] the communication.” (Read more from “Top Court Asked to Rule If Male Students Claiming to Be ‘Girls’ Can Use Girls’ Shower” HERE)

Whistleblower Teacher Says 17 Students Are Changing Genders, Some Were ‘Tricked’

Seventeen students at a British school are changing their genders and most of them who are undergoing the process are autistic, according to a teacher there, the Daily Mail reported. . .

The teacher, a 20-year veteran who asked to not be identified for fear of losing her job, told the news outlet she spoke out to help protect students. She said she believes schools and some politicians are peddling a politically-correct “fallacy” driven by “ a powerful transgender lobby.” . . .

She said many of the children believe they are the wrong sex because it helps them cope with problems caused by autism. Only a few of them have gender dysphoria a medical term used to describe someone who believes they were born “in the wrong body.”

Earlier in the year, the Daily Mail reported that one-third of children referred to the National Health Service in England had ‘moderate to severe autistic traits’. In all, “150 autistic teenagers were given puberty blocker drugs which stop the body maturing.” . . .

Regarding the student who is set to undergo a mastectomy, Carol said the child was diagnosed as autistic at age 14 and “certainly was not transgender. She had other complicated mental health problems. It is a tragedy her claim was accepted so readily. Turns out the Caravan Is Reportedly a Bad Place for Gay and Trans People

While the migrant caravan may have largely dropped off the media radar after the election, it’s still coming, and it’s apparently a really bad place to be for gay and transgender people.

According to a recent story at BuzzFeed News, gay and transsexual migrants actually had to leave and go ahead of the caravan because of how they were treated. The report focuses on the journey a migrant named Christian had made and some of the things he experienced along the way:

“We went ahead of the main caravan because we put our lives at risk on the road,” Christian told BuzzFeed News. “My heart feels lighter now that we’re here, we’re so close.”

The gay 24-year-old from Guatemala said that someone threw a bottle at him during the caravan’s march north. When the group, which includes several transgender women, would try to hitchhike while traveling with the main caravan, drivers who were offering a lift to other members of the caravan would deny them rides or leave them stranded along desolate highways, Christian said.

In fact, things are so bad for migrants like him that BuzzFeed reports one immigration group shelled out money for his group to ride on their own separate buses, away from the rest of the caravan.

Much as with the demands for near-unrestricted immigration from the Middle East, here we have another situation where two common policy positions of those on the Left find themselves at odds.

Here’s the question: If the caravan is such a dangerous place for gay people and transsexuals, why are so many on the Left so keen to let thousands of people who may treat them this way into the country on specious (if not outright bogus) asylum claims?

Sure, the open-borders crowd would find any way they can to deflect and change the subject if any of these migrants were to get drunk, drive a car, and kill or maim an American citizen, but what happens if any of them starts throwing beer bottles at pride parades?

Will those who harbor these kinds of views actually be expected to (gasp!) assimilate? But then, since calls for immigrants to assimilate and change their ways are so often decried as xenophobic and racist these days, what’s a leftist to do?

School Punishes Male Teacher for Refusing to Watch a Naked Girl in the Boys’ Locker Room

By The Federalist. A Florida school district allowed a self-described transgender female student regular access to the boys’ locker room, with no advance warning to the boys or their parents. The first time she walked in, she caught “boys (literally) with their pants down, causing them embarrassment and concern by the fact that they had been observed changing by an obvious girl,” says a complaint letter to Pasco County School District from Liberty Counsel, a pro-bono constitutional law firm.

With a “gag order,” school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room, the letter says. Male Gym Teacher Punished for Refusing to Oversee Transgender ‘Male’ Get Undressed

A physical education teacher in Florida was punished for refusing to oversee a biologically female middle schooler who identifies as male potentially get undressed in the boys’ locker room. The school, stunningly, allowed the female student to have access to the boys’ locker room without so much as informing the male students who would be sharing the locker room with the girl or the students’ parents.

According to a compliant letter from Liberty Counsel to Pasco County School District, the female student caught “boys (literally) with their pants down, causing them embarrassment and concern by the fact that they had been observed changing by an obvious girl,” reports The Federalist.

Teachers and administrators were barred from speaking about the transgender policy, and when a male P.E. teacher refused to supervise the boys’ locker room with the female student, he was reprimanded and told he would be transferred to a different school:

“With a ‘gag order,’ school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room,” the letter says. When he refused to “knowingly place himself in a position to observe a minor female in the nude or otherwise in a state of undress,” administrators told him “he will be transferred to another school as discipline for ‘not doing your job in the locker room.'”
