New Poll: Here’s How Many Voters Say They Want President Trump Impeached, Removed from Office

Just over half of voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, according to a Fox News Poll released Wednesday.

A new high of 51 percent wants Trump impeached and removed from office, another 4 percent want him impeached but not removed, and 40 percent oppose impeachment altogether. In July, 42 percent favored impeachment and removal, while 5 percent said impeach but don’t remove him, and 45 percent opposed impeachment.

Since July, support for impeachment increased among voters of all stripes: up 11 points among Democrats, 5 points among Republicans and 3 among independents. Support also went up among some of Trump’s key constituencies, including white evangelical Christians (+5 points), white men without a college degree (+8), and rural whites (+10). . .

A lot has happened since the July Fox poll on impeachment — namely, the launch of an impeachment inquiry in the House following allegations Trump improperly pressured Ukraine to investigate the Bidens’ dealings in that country. The 9-point increase in support for impeachment since July, however, doesn’t appear to be based solely on the latest allegations. To that point, more Democrats favor impeaching Trump (85 percent) than consider his call with Ukraine’s president an impeachable offense (76 percent). The same holds true among independents: 39 percent favor impeachment, while 30 percent describe the Ukraine call as impeachable.

The 4-in-10 voters opposing impeachment give a variety of reasons, including: Trump did nothing wrong (21 percent), it is politically motivated (20 percent), and don’t believe allegations (15 percent). Donald Trump: Impeachment Effort a ‘Coup’ to Take Power From the People

As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP, intended to take away the Power of the People, their VOTE, their Freedoms, their Second Amendment, Religion, Military, Border Wall, and their God-given rights as a Citizen of The United States of America!

Trump deployed his latest defense as the establishment media and Democrats grow increasingly critical of his rhetoric responding to the whistleblower’s complaint and the subsequent impeachment effort launched by the Democrats.

Trump said during private remarks at a reception in New York City after the United Nations General Assembly:

We’re at war. These people are sick, they’re sick and nobody’s called it out like I do. I don’t understand, people are afraid to call it out, they are afraid to say that the press is crooked, we have a crooked press, we have a dishonest media.

Donald Trump Sets Twitter Record as White House Fights off Impeachment Inquiry

By USA Today. It’s not your imagination: President Donald Trump is tweeting more.

Amid calls for his impeachment and preparations for his reelection bid, Trump tweeted or retweeted nearly 800 times during an eventful September, about 100 posts beyond what he published in any previous month of his presidency, according to a USA TODAY analysis. His monthly tweet frequency has steadily risen for months.

The president tweeted in his own words 500 times last month, twice his average monthly frequency in 2018.

His September slew of tweets came in response to calls for his impeachment based on his efforts to encourage Ukrainian officials to investigate his political rival Joe Biden, 2020 Democratic presidential frontrunner. . .

In more than 320 tweets and retweets since the story broke of a whistleblower report on Trump’s phone call in July with Zelensky, Trump used or repeated the word “treason” five times and the word “Ukraine” more than four dozen times. Polls: American Voters DO NOT Want Impeachment; 2020 Dem: Trump Impeachment Will ‘Further Tear Apart an Already Divided Country’

By Breitbart. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Tuesday that the House would begin a formal impeachment inquiry to streamline Democrats’ various investigations into President Trump, despite all the latest polls showing that the majority of American voters do not want impeachment.

Since July, polls have showed that at least half of American voters have opposed beginning impeachment or an impeachment inquiry. However, Democrats have decided that a whistleblower complaint alleging that Trump pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s son for corruption related to his work in Ukraine was a tipping point. Gabbard: Trump Impeachment Will ‘Further Tear Apart an Already Divided Country’

Gabbard said, “I think the question of impeachment would further tear apart an already divided country. I think it’s important Donald Trump is defeated. I believe I can defeat him in 2020. Joe Biden Backs Impeachment but Won’t Answer ANY Ukraine Questions

Joe Biden refused to answer questions on Wednesday after calling on Congress to impeach President Donald Trump.

The former vice president made the announcement shortly after House Democrats signaled they would begin an impeachment inquiry into Trump for urging Ukraine’s government to probe Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

“If President Trump refuses to comply with congressional requests, then he “will leave Congress, in my view, no choice but to initiate impeachment,” Biden said, before refusing to address questions from reporters. “That would be a tragedy, but a tragedy of his own making.” . . .

ince announcing his presidential campaign, the former vice president has refused to discuss his son’s business ties to either Ukraine or China, despite mounting evidence such dealings were made easier because of his political influence. As Peter Schweizer detailed in his book, Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, Hunter Biden made a lucrative profit off extraordinary deals that were unavailable to regular businessmen.

“I mean, you look at — around the world, there are two countries where Joe Biden is the point person for the Obama administration: China and Ukraine, and in both cases, his son lands huge deals in both countries. Democrats Hit the Panic Button After Internal Polling Shows Stunning Public Opinion on Impeachment; ‘Nobody in America’ Wants Impeachment

By The Blaze. More moderate Democrats are sounding the alarm after internal polling showed that a vast majority of voters saw the party as having misplaced priorities on impeachment.

Democratic Rep. Anthony Brindisi of New York took his concerns straight to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and explained his rationale to Politico.

“It’s very frustrating for me — someone coming from a district that was one of the districts that helped get us into the majority — having so much focus on things like impeachment or other issues that are divisive,” he explained. . .

He claims that other freshman Democrats agree with him that the agenda of the party does not match the voters’ concerns. . .

Polling for the Democratic party found that 54 percent of voters said that Democrats were more focused on impeachment than any other policy. But, only 10 percent of voters believed that impeachment should be their focus. Kevin Mccarthy Says ‘Nobody in America’ Wants Impeachment, but Jerry Nadler Is Set on It

By Fox News. The top Republican in the House of Representatives said congressional Democrats are on a quest for an “imaginary” impeachment against the will of the American people.

Instead, lawmakers like House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., have used the prospect of impeaching President Trump to forward their own political ambitions, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., claimed in an interview that can be heard in full Wednesday on the “Fox News Rundown” podcast.

“This is an imaginary impeachment,” he said.

WATCH: Former Trump Campaign Manager Slams Dems Over Impeachment Attempts

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski took the Democrats to school today. Trump impeachment theater is now a full production. Okay—ever since the Democrat retook the House, impeachment theater has been in production, but now it’s official. Lewandowski was yanked before the House Judiciary Committee via subpoena and gave the Left a run for its money. He slapped down the nonsense hurled at him regarding the Trump-Russia myth. He wasn’t going to play by their rules because he doesn’t need to accept those parameters. This is a witch hunt. It’s political theater. So, have fun—and he did (via Fox News):

Lewandowski visibly frustrated committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., during the Democrat’s first question – when the witness, in an apparent effort to stall for time, repeatedly asked Nadler to point to the specific section in the Robert Mueller report related to his question. Lewandowski was following White House orders not to discuss confidential conversations with the president beyond what was already public in the former special counsel’s report.

Lewandowski appeared to mock California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell’s unsuccessful bid for the White House earlier this year, calling him “President Swalwell” at one point during questioning.
