Biden’s TSA Face Scanners Threaten Your Freedom and Privacy

President Joe Biden’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) quietly unveiled a controversial facial recognition program at airports, which has been followed by major pushback that could affect people’s everyday lives.

16 of the nation’s largest airports including, Atlanta, Boston Denver, and Los Angeles, are now using face scanners to verify the identity of travelers rather than handing over their driver’s license or passport.

TSA plans to expand the program so that eventually all U.S. airports are using facial recognition, making it one of the largest efforts to collect advanced biometric data of law-abiding citizens in US history.

The controversy of the program, which is already being used in Communist-run countries such as China, has mounted from the political spectrum, arguing that facial recognition is a direct violation of Americans’ privacy and civil rights.

Elon Musk Slams DHS Censorship Network as a “Propaganda Platform”

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently made a bold move by releasing the Twitter Files, which detail how the social media platform coordinated with federal law enforcement to silence voices that didn’t align with the company’s far-left agenda. . .

Even Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, realizes that the Department of Homeland Security is barrelling down a slippery slope when it circumvents the First Amendment and outsources censorship to a government-funded private network of totalitarian thought police.

Earlier this month, the head of the EIP, Alex Stamos, asked Elon Musk for “transparency” regarding the Tesla CEO tweeting, “the rules were enforced against the right, but not against the left.”

Musk responded to the CISA censorship czar, “You operate a propaganda platform.”

TSA Reports Record Number of Gun Interceptions at US Airports

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers said Friday the agency intercepted a record number of firearms at airport security checkpoints this year, a nearly 10% increase over 2021’s record level.

Officials reported the agency stopped 6,301 firearms from crossing through secure areas of airports since the beginning of 2022 and anticipates detaining approximately 300 more before the new year. Of those firearms, more than 88% were loaded, the agency said.

The number of firearm interceptions surpassed the previous record of 5,972 firearms detected in 2021.

“I applaud the work of our Transportation Security Officers who do an excellent job of preventing firearms from getting into the secure area of airports, and onboard aircraft,” TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in a news release. “Firearms are prohibited in carry-on bags at the checkpoint and onboard aircraft.”

Although firearm possession laws vary by state and local government, passengers are prohibited from carrying guns in carry-on bags at any TSA security checkpoint, even if a passenger has a concealed weapon permit. However, the agency says passengers may travel with a firearm — but it must be unloaded and locked in a hard-sided container and transported as checked baggage only and declared each time they present it for transport as checked baggage. Nunchuks and Saw Blades: TSA Confiscates an Armory’s Worth of Weapons From Carry-on Bag

A man’s carryon was flagged at a U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint in New York City on Sunday for containing banned items.

TSA confiscated six prohibited items, including nunchucks and saw blades, from an airline passenger traveling through New York City on Sunday, according to a TSA spokesperson.

“A lump of coal for this guy for the holiday,” TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein tweeted with a picture of the confiscated items. “Six prohibited items among a traveler’s carry-on items at @LGAairport on Sunday – 3 saw blades, nunchucks, a switchblade and a knife that folds into a bullet-shaped sheath. @TSA recommends packing these items in a checked bag.”

Republicans Look to Block Biden’s New ‘Woke,’ Trans-Friendly Approach to Airport Security

House Republicans introduced Thursday legislation to block the Biden administration’s newly issued screening policies aimed at improving the airport experience for transgender passengers, calling the updates a threat to national security.

The Security Americans from Transportation Insanity Act, led by Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Dan Bishop of North Carolina, would prevent the Transportation Security Administration from using federal funds to implement the planned updates, which were announced by the White House on March 31, or Transgender Day of Visibility.

As Ms. Boebert’s website put it: “Don’t woke the TSA.”

The new White House rules call for reducing the number of pat-downs; updating the TSA PreCheck and Trusted Traveler programs to include the “X” gender marker; promoting the use of the “X” with airlines, and removing “gender considerations” from TSA Standard Operating Procedures.

“If you doubt the Biden regime is on a woke crusade to remake America in its own image, then look no further than the TSA’s new trans screening policies,” said Ms. Boebert in a Thursday statement. Leftist Lunacy: TSA Plans ‘Gender Neutral’ Screening for ‘Civil Rights’

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on Thursday announced plans to kneel to the left’s radical transgender movement, adopting “gender neutral” screening at its checkpoints to better suit transgender, nonbinary, and “gender-nonconforming” passengers.

The TSA announced that it is moving beyond the “gender-based AIT [Advanced Imaging Technology] system” at airport checkpoints, using what it describes as “more accurate technology” which it claims will “advance civil rights.” As a result of this new process, TSA will essentially begin reducing the number of pat-down screenings to accommodate those who refuse to identify as one of the two only valid biological sexes. Specifically, “Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Transportation Security Officers (TSOs)” will “permit less invasive screening procedures for certain passengers who trigger the AIT scanner in a sensitive area.”

“This change will reduce pat downs for TSOs and the traveling public without compromising security and will be in effect until the new gender-neutral AIT screening technology is deployed later this year,” the federal agency announced.

The TSA also bragged about the changes it made in February in “identity validation,” essentially removing gender considerations “when validating a traveler’s identification at airport security checkpoints.”

“When travelers appear at the travel document checker podium for identity verification, gender information is irrelevant in determining that a traveler may proceed into the screening area,” it noted. (Read more from “Leftist Lunacy: TSA Plans ‘Gender Neutral’ Screening for ‘Civil Rights’” HERE)

Large Majority of TSA Workers Unvaccinated as Deadline Looms

President Biden’s announced vaccine mandate for private employers is being blamed for flight disruptions, and now his mandate for federal workers is posing the threat of further travel chaos with the TSA admitting that 40% of its agents remain unvaccinated six weeks before the deadline.

“We have about 60 percent of our workforce has been vaccinated, that that number needs to go quite a bit higher over the next few weeks,” Transportation Security Administration Administrator David Pekoske told CNN.

The Nov. 22 deadline is only two days prior to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which usually is the nation’s busiest travel day of the year.

“We are building contingency plans, for if we do have some staffing shortages as a result of this, but I hope to avoid that,” Pekoske said.

Meanwhile, the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Union, known as SMART, announced on behalf of its 203,000 members that it is standing against forced vaccination. (Read more from “Large Majority of TSA Workers Unvaccinated as Deadline Looms” HERE)

Hilarious: Only Two People Cited by TSA for Mask Violations Have Agreed to Pay Fine

Only two people have agreed to pay fines to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) among more than 2,400 incidents of noncompliance since a federal mask mandate took effect this year, according to new data provided to The Hill.

TSA said it has received referrals concerning 2,413 incidents of possible noncompliance and has completed investigations into 1,793 incidents.

The agency issued more than 1,690 warning notices and referred 38 matters for civil penalties. Only two individuals did not challenge their fines of $250 each, TSA said in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

The eye-opening figures come amid an uproar over the federal mask mandate for transportation that has been linked to numerous reports of scuffles and obnoxious behavior by airplane passengers.

“One explanation could be that the people who already violated it to start with are people who feel very strongly to begin with and don’t think the federal government could even mandate something like that. They do it partially as a protest, so it’s not surprising they haven’t paid the fine,” said Retsef Levi, professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management specializing in risk management and analytics. Be Calm, TSA Says After Traveler Accused of Biting 2 Agents

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) asked Thursday in a press release for travelers to be calm and respectful at security checkpoints after multiple incidents, one including a passenger allegedly biting two TSA officers earlier in June.

The TSA said they are investigating an incident where a passenger in Denver, Colorado, is facing possible civil penalties after allegedly biting two TSA agents.

The agency also said a separate passenger is facing criminal charges after allegedly assaulting two officers “while attempting to breach the exit lane and is facing state criminal charges for criminal trespass, fleeing and evading police, misdemeanor assault, and resisting arrest,” in an incident in Louisville, Kentucky, also in June.

Both suspects could face civil penalties of up to $13,910 for each violation of TSA security requirements, according to the press release.

“Passengers do not arrive at an airport or board a plane with the intent of becoming unruly or violent; however, what is an exciting return to travel for some may be a more difficult experience for others, which can lead to unexpected, and unacceptable, behaviors,” said TSA Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Administrator Darby LaJoye in a statement. “We appreciate our continued partnership and coordination with the FAA and stand together in a unified position of zero-tolerance with respect to attacks against our employees.”
