Knives Out for DeSantis: Top Republicans Rage Over His Comments About Ukraine

The Republican Party establishment erupted in anger at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after he told Tucker Carlson Ukraine is not a vital interest of the U.S. and the White House should be trying to broker peace instead of offering a “blank check.”

Carlson, the Fox News host, asked several prominent potential 2024 GOP presidential candidates a half-dozen questions, including one about their stance on Ukraine. In his 369-word answer on Ukraine, DeSantis wrote that a secure southern border, military readiness, energy independence, and countering the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party are among the nation’s vital national interests, but becoming further entangled in a “territorial dispute” between Russia and Ukraine is not.

“The Biden administration’s virtual ‘blank check’ funding of this conflict for ‘as long as it takes,’ without any defined objectives or accountability, distracts from our country’s most pressing challenges,” DeSantis told Carlson. “Without question, peace should be the objective.”

DeSantis had previously criticized the Biden administration, which has pledged at least $113 billion in aid to Ukraine, for providing a “blank check” with little or no accountability for how the money is spent. But his expanded comments in the answer to Carlson put him at odds with GOP hawks, including potential 2024 rivals Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, and Liz Cheney, as well as Republican Senators Marco Rubio, of Florida; Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina; Thom Tillis, of North Carolina; and John Cornyn, of Texas. Karine Jean-Pierre Doubles Down on Claim That Capital Riots ‘Cost Police Officers Their Lives’ (VIDEO)

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attacked Fox News host Tucker Carlson again Wednesday after Carlson further discussed new footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol building.

“We agree with the chief of Capitol Police and the wide range of bipartisan lawmakers, you heard them all yesterday, you guys reported on it, who have condemned the false depiction of the unprecedented violent attack on our Constitution and the rule of law which cost police officers their lives,” Jean-Pierre said.

Jean-Pierre referred to the criticism of Carlson in a letter from Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger, who criticized Carlson’s use of footage showing Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick walking during Jan. 6 during his show Monday. Sicknick died of natural causes after suffering two strokes on Jan. 6, the D.C. medical examiner ruled, contradicting reports from The New York Times and other media outlets that Sicknick’s death resulted from injuries sustained during the riot. Tucker Carlson Said He Hates Trump in Private Text Messages: ‘I Can’t Handle Much More of This’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson sent a series of private text messages to his colleague regarding his relationship with former President Trump, which was released by Dominion Voting Systems as part of its defamation suit against the network.

According to a January 4, 2021, text message, Carlson revealed he has a strong dislike toward Trump.

“I hate him passionately,” a text sent by Carlson to a colleague read. “What he’s good at is destroying things. He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”

Two days before the January 6 Capitol Hill protests, Carlson wrote that he was very close to being done having to talk about the former president on-air.

GOP Rep. Massie to Tucker Carlson: January 6 Tapes ‘Changed My Perception’ — ‘and I Was There’ (VIDEO)

During an appearance on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) reacted to recently unreleased footage from the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol that depicted a different picture than what had been previously portrayed by congressional Democrats and the media.

Massie told host Tucker Carlson that the footage “changed” his perception of the events of that day and noted that he was there.

“You’ve exposed so many lies tonight with these tapes that it’s changed my perception of what happened two years ago, and I was there,” he said. “The tapes of people milling peacefully about, and my hat’s off to your producers for sitting over there and going through hours of this.” (Read more from “GOP Rep. Tucker Carlson Says Jan. 6 Footage ‘Demolishes’ Claims of Insurrection, Exposes Media Lies (VIDEO)

By The Blaze. On Monday night’s episode of his show on the Fox News Channel, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson aired some of the surveillance footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has granted Carlson access to the video. Carlson noted during his show on Monday that producers had enjoyed “unfettered access” to the surveillance footage.

While media outlets, Democrats, and some Republicans have described the events of Jan. 6 as an “insurrection,” Carlson asserted that the footage “demolishes that claim.”

Some of the footage shows police officers near Jacob Chansley, widely referred to as the “QAnon Shaman,” whose image has become ubiquitous in the wake of the Jan. 6 episode. Chansley was arrested on January 9, 2021, according to the Justice Department.

Carlson also aired footage showing Officer Brian Sicknick walking in the Capitol, and Carlson claimed that the January 6 Committee had been aware that the man had been “walking normally … after he was supposedly murdered by Trump supporters.”

Tucker Carlson Releases Exclusive Jan. 6 Footage, Says Politicians, Media Lied About Sicknick, ‘Qanon Shaman’

By Fox News. Tucker Carlson released never-before-seen footage from the Jan. 6, 2021 riots at Capitol Hill that appear to dispel several narratives pushed by the Democrat-controlled House Select Committee and the legacy media.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy granted “Tucker Carlson Tonight” an exclusive first look to over 40,000 hours of security camera footage from the Capitol Building that were hidden from the public for over two years. On Monday, Carlson offered the first glimpses of footage involving key figures from that day.

Carlson concluded the footage proves that lawmakers and the media were “lying” about the events that took place on Jan. 6.

The first batch of footage showed Trump supporters peacefully touring the building, “sightseers” as Carlson put it, but the footage of the rioters overwhelmingly consumed the news coverage of Jan. 6, which many in D.C. have compared to 9/11 and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Capitol police officers were seen escorting Jacob Chansley, a Navy veteran widely referred to in the liberal media as the “QAnon Shaman,” around the building without incident. Carlson reported that officers were seen showing Chansley around, even trying to open locked doors for him. At one point, at least nine police officers were seen in close proximity to Chansley, and none of them slowed him down, as Carlson noted. Tucker Carlson Calls Out ‘Professional Christian’ Leaders for Silence as Canadian Pastor Arrested for Protesting Drag Queen Event

Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacted on Thursday evening to the arrest of a Canadian minister who protested a drag queen event for children.

Derek Riemer of Mission7 was arrested after he protested a drag queen story hour at Calgary Public Library on Saturday; video shows him shoved to the ground by attendees as he proclaimed that “Jesus Christ is Lord” and quoted biblical passages about homosexuality.

“We are disgusted and disturbed and appalled at the perversion and the indoctrination of the centralization and the normalization of this homosexual agenda and drag queen transgender agenda on the children,” Reimer said in an interview with LifeSiteNews. “We feel compelled to take a stand in the name of Jesus against this and to speak out and to preach the gospel, and to rebuke and to expose this.”

Carlson noted that the administration of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has actively opposed Christian and conservative movements in recent years. “On some level, all governments hate religious people, because it’s competition. And revolutionary governments, totalitarian governments, go after religious people first,” he observed. “That is the measure of a free country in the end: are you allowed to believe that there’s an authority higher than the people in charge of your government?”

Report: Kevin McCarthy Gave Thousands of Hours of Jan. 6 Footage to Tucker Carlson

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson exclusive access to 41,000 hours of footage from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Axios reported Monday, citing sources close to the speaker.

Carlson’s producers reportedly began reviewing the footage on Capitol Hill earlier in February, and his shows will start airing excerpts in coming weeks, according to Axios. Talks between Carlson’s show and McCarthy regarding the footage began in early February, the outlet reported.

“If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6. By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that,” Carlson told Axios. VIDEO: Tucker Carlson Demands Answers on Jeffrey Epstein Killing

Fox News host Tucker Carlson made headlines recently when he discussed the death of Jeffrey Epstein, a financier, who reportedly committed suicide on Aug. 9, 2019, while being held in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

During an in-depth review on his program, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host raised some important points about Epstein and called on the new GOP majority in the U.S. House to open an investigation into Epstein’s death.

“It’s all very strange and the story gets much stranger once you start pressing a little bit. We’ve pressed pretty hard for the last few days on this question, not because we have any special affection for Jeffrey Epstein. We’ve pressed because you don’t want to live in a country where it’s possible to murder people in federal lockup, cover up the killings, and then get away with them. That’s scary,” Carlson said.

“That should not be allowed in this or any other civilized place, but in the case of Jeffrey Epstein, it appears that it was allowed and on one level, you can see why it was. This is one of those crimes that have no natural constituency pushing to solve it,” he added. . .

“For moving on four years now, there has never been an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s death, the death of an American citizen. Now, we can only speculate as to why that is, but all the explanations are bad and ominous. Maybe someone in the new Republican Congress should look into all of this, not because Jeffrey Epstein was an American hero, but because for once it would be nice to see the federal government forced to tell the truth about something,” he said.

Canadian Politician Calls on Government to ‘Condemn’ Tucker Carlson (VIDEO)

A member of Parliament from the New Democratic Party of Canada called on other politicians to unanimously “condemn” Fox News host Tucker Carlson for “incendiary, anti-democratic language,” but was immediately met with a chorus of “nay” when the speaker of the House asked the other members about his motion.

MP Matthew Green (Hamilton Centre) was referring to Carlson’s remarks that the United States should “liberate Canada” on a recent episode of “Tucker Carlson Today.” . . .

In response, Green announced in Canadian Parliament that he had consulted with other members of the government before saying he believed he would garner “unanimous consent” on his motion.

The speaker of the House then rose, asking “all those opposed to honorable member moving the motion, please say ‘nay’.”

Tucker Carlson Accuses ‘Flamboyantly Pure’ Pence of Collaborating With Feds to Nail Trump in Docs Case

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson has a different take on the reports involving former Vice President Mike Pence and the classified documents found at his Indiana home.

According to Mediaite, Carlson attacked the former vice president as he accused him of conspiring with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to bring down former President Donald Trump as his classified documents investigation continues.

The conservative primetime host made the remarks during his segment of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday, January 24. He opened the discussion by highlighting what he describes as “unexplained weirdness.” . . .

“So here’s the latest example of unexplained weirdness in the news,” Carlson opened the broadcast. “Mike Pence, of all people, has just swooped in to save Joe Biden. Yes, Mike Pence, a man so flamboyantly pure he won’t have dinner with ladies, not his wife. And yet Mike Pence also had secret documents in his house, just like Joe Biden!” . . .

“We can’t say for certain, but it’s entirely possible; in fact, it’s likely that Mike Pence was asked to do this by federal prosecutors who are trying to build a case against his old boss, Donald Trump,” Carlson explained.
