WATCH: Al Gore Compares ‘Climate Deniers’ to Uvalde Cops in Bizarre Interview

Former Vice President Al Gore said Sunday that “climate deniers” were comparable to the 400 law enforcement officers on the scene of the Uvalde school shooting.

Gore made the comments on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday with host Chuck Todd, as seen in a clip shared on Twitter. “You know, the climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred,” Gore said in the interview.

“They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward.” Gore continued, adding, “And God bless those families who’ve suffered so much. And law enforcement officials tell us that’s not typical of what law enforcement usually does.” His comments come just two months after nineteen students and two teachers were massacred in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Fatally Shot Uvalde Teacher Called Police Officer Husband – He Tried to Rescue Her but Was Stopped, Removed From Scene, and His Gun Was Taken (VIDEO)

Eva Mireles — a teacher who was fatally shot during last month’s massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas — called her police officer husband and told him she was dying, but when he tried to rescue her, he was detained, his gun was taken, and he was removed from the scene, according to Col. Steven McCraw, director of the state Department of Public Safety, NBC News reported. . .

McCraw — speaking Tuesday during a Texas Senate hearing on the police response to the massacre — described what Mireles said to her husband, Officer Ruben Ruiz, and what happened to him when he tried to take action, the network said.

“We got an officer, Officer Ruiz, whose wife had called him and said she [had] been shot, and she’s dying,” McCraw said, according to video of the hearing. “What happened to him was he tried to move forward into the hallway … he was detained, and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”

Uvalde Cops Made No Attempt to Open the Door Where the Gunman Was Shooting 19 Kids

New details continue to emerge after three weeks of the deadly Uvalde massacre that left 19 kids and two adults dead.

According to the San-Antonio Express News, video footage shows that law enforcement allegedly never even attempted to open the door of the elementary school where a gunman barricaded himself in a classroom for 77 minutes while police stood outside.

“Surveillance footage shows that police never tried to open a door to two classrooms at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde in the 77 minutes between the time a gunman entered the rooms and massacred 21 people and officers finally breached the door and killed him,” the paper reported.

There is also reason to believe the door was unlocked to the building, making it easy for law enforcement to enter the school. . .

However, the source says whether the door was locked or unlocked would have made no difference since police “had access the entire time to a ‘halligan’ — a crowbar-like tool that could have opened the door to the classrooms even if it was locked.” (Read more from “Uvalde Cops Made No Attempt to Open the Door Where the Gunman Was Shooting 19 Kids” HERE)
