Zelensky Touts Capture of Putin Friend Viktor Medvedchuk

A key ally to Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to have been captured by Ukrainian forces.

Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk, dressed in military camouflage, is seen sitting in a chair in handcuffs in a photo shared on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Telegram account on Tuesday. . .

Putin is godfather to one of Medvedchuk’s two daughters, and the two men have vacationed together in the past. Officials believe Putin was eyeing Medvedchuk to helm a pro-Russian puppet state in Ukraine if Moscow was able to overthrow the government, Newsweek reported.

Medvedchuk was known for his strong pro-Russia political beliefs and was the co-chairman of the eurosceptic Opposition Platform — For Life party until losing that position last month. Zelensky has since suspended the party, citing its links to the Kremlin.

Last year, Medvedchuk was put on house arrest for allegations of treason and looting Ukrainian resources in Crimea. Medvedchuk was believed to have fled house arrest four days after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in late February, according to the New York Post. His capture marks a significant moral victory for Zelensky. (Read more from “Zelensky Touts Capture of Putin Friend Viktor Medvedchuk” HERE)

Putin Vows Russia’s ‘Noble’ Operation in Ukraine Will End in Victory

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday pledged victory in Ukraine, brushing off his military’s embarrassing battlefield missteps and casting the invasion as a “noble” fight.

Speaking to space industry workers at the Vostochny Spaceport in Russia‘s Far East region, Mr. Putin said that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have hit a dead end, suggesting that a negotiated cease-fire is not on the horizon and that he is prepared to continue the military campaign for the foreseeable future. The Russian leader also slammed U.S. and allied sanctions imposed since the invasion began Feb. 24 and said his country’s economy will survive the financial onslaught it is facing.

Tuesday’s public comments are Mr. Putin‘s first since his troops withdrew from northern Ukraine last week, effectively ending their ill-fated attempt to capture the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and topple the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Despite clear failures so far, Mr. Putin virtually guaranteed that the Russian mission will succeed.

“I don’t have any doubt at all,” he said, according to Reuters. “Its goals are absolutely clear and noble. There is no doubt that the goals will be achieved.” (Read more from “Putin Vows Russia’s ‘Noble’ Operation in Ukraine Will End in Victory” HERE)

Putin Says World Faces Food Crisis Due to West’s Sanctions

President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia must keep a close eye on its food exports to hostile countries because the West’s sanctions had fomented a global food crisis and spiralling energy prices.

The West’s sanctions over Putin’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine have tipped Russia towards its worst economic crisis since the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, though Moscow says the global impact of the sanctions could be much more significant.

The Kremlin chief cautioned that higher energy prices combined with a shortage of fertilisers would prompt the West to print money to buy up supplies, leading to food shortages among poorer countries.

“They will inevitably exacerbate food shortages in the poorest regions of the world, spur new waves of migration and in general drive food prices even higher,” Putin told a meeting on developing food production.

“In these current conditions, a shortage of fertilisers on the global market is inevitable,” Putin said. “We will have to be more careful about food supplies abroad, especially carefully monitor the exports to countries which are hostile to us.” (Read more from “Putin Says World Faces Food Crisis Due to West’s Sanctions” HERE)

Biden Used Cheat Sheet While Doubling Down on Unscripted Message to Oust Putin

President Joe Biden once again referred to a printed cheat sheet sheet as he doubled down on his unscripted weekend claim that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.”

On Monday Biden, 79, told reporters he made “no apologies” for his remarks — made off the cuff and not part of his prepared speech in a nationally televised address from Poland Saturday — and did not view it as a provocation to Russia. . .

His comments closely aligned with notes printed on a small piece of paper that he was photographed holding in his left hand as he spoke that began as follows:

If you weren’t advocating for regime change, what did you mean? Can you clarify?

I was expressing the moral outrage I felt towards the actions of this man

Trump Says Putin Used the N-Word a Lot…But It’s Not the Word You’re Thinking About (VIDEO)

By Townhall. . .Trump and Putin were always a liberal media obsession due to the collusion myth, but Trump noted that the latter man used the n-word a lot. No, it wasn’t some racist anecdote or a scene out of Django Unchained. Putin was a man who liked the nukes.

“Nuclear” was the n-word Trump said was the one tossed around a lot. The former president discussed this on Fox Business yesterday, which I’m sure made everyone in the control room reach for the Advil, whiskey, or both. The tension was probably palpable until Trump revealed which n-word he was talking about. It got your attention, right? The man knows how to capture an audience. . .

And this unpredictability appears to be enough to keep people in line. Speaking with former professional golfer, John Daly, Mr. ‘grip it and rip it,’ the president noted how he threatened to strike Moscow if things got out of hand. Trump admits that maybe Putin only believed that there was a 5-10 percent chance we’d follow through on that threat—but it was enough. No one wants nuclear war, though that’s also become a bipartisan consensus here in DC.

Rudy Giuliani Says ‘Genius’ Trump Threatened To Blow Up Putin’s ‘Gold Bubbles’

By Yahoo News. Rudy Giuliani said former President Donald Trump made an unusual threat to Russian President Vladimir Putin while he was in office.

Giuliani told Newsmax over the weekend that Trump had authorized him to share the details of a meeting with Putin where Ukraine came up in the conversation.

Trump “says, ‘Vladimir, you shouldn’t, like, attack Ukraine. I never liked those big, what are those things you got in Moscow, those big bubbles? Those big gold bubbles, I never liked those things, so I’m gonna have to blow them up,’” Giuliani said. . .

“So Putin says, ‘They’re churches,’” Giuliani recounted. Trump said, “Oh, Vladimir, don’t tell me that about churches, c’mon. Churches? You can fool Bush, you can’t fool me. You care about churches?” (Read more from “Rudy Giuliani Says ‘Genius’ Trump Threatened to Blow up Putin’s ‘Gold Bubbles’” HERE)

Trump Says He Would Send Nuclear Submarines to Go ‘Up and Down’ Russia’s Coast to Pressure Putin

By Business Insider. Former President Donald Trump said on Monday that the US should put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin by sending its nuclear submarines to ply the Russian coast. . .

“And we say, ‘Oh, he’s a nuclear power.’ But we’re a greater nuclear power. We have the greatest submarines in the world, the most powerful machines ever built,” he told the host Stuart Varney.

“You should say, ‘Look, you mention that word one more time, we’re going to send them over and we’ll be coasting back and forth, up and down your coast,” Trump said. “You can’t let this tragedy continue. You can’t let these, these thousands of people die.”

The US has a fleet of 14 Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines “designed specifically for stealth and the precise delivery of nuclear warheads,” per the US Navy. (Read more from “Trump Says He Would Send Nuclear Submarines to Go ‘Up and Down’ Russia’s Coast to Pressure Putin” HERE)

Russia Hits Back at Biden With Insult About His Memory

Russia responded Friday to President Joe Biden calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” by insulting Biden for his “irritability, fatigue and forgetfulness.”

Top Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia sees and hears the statement that Biden made, and considers it a “personal insult” to Putin, but won’t take the accusation seriously, according to Russia media outlet TASS.

“Bearing in mind Mr. Biden’s irritability, fatigue and forgetfulness, which eventually results in aggressive statements, we will possibly prefer to refrain from making any strong comments so as not to trigger more aggression,” Peskov continued. Biden Calls Putin a ‘War Criminal’ (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” Wednesday for invading Ukraine.

Putin Told to Fire Nuclear Missile at Largest US Weapon Range as a ‘Warning’

A twisted Russian politician has urged Vladimir Putin to fire “a ballistic missile” at the largest weapons testing site in the US as a warning.

Yevgeny Alexeyevich Fyodorov – a deputy of Russia’s Duma – urged the despot to push the button and launch a missile at the Nevada test range as a warning because western leaders are assuming “Putin has no trump cards in his hand.”

Another of the “trump cards” he proposed was the bombing of laboratories belonging to the US armed forces.

Fyodorov believes that if Russia did strike its Cold War foe, the US wouldn’t retaliate, the Daily Star reports.

His comments are the most-recent in a long line of bizarre statements about US-Russia relations in recent years – including CIA assassination plots, rock music likened to “US-instigated sabotage” and a western-backed “revolution” that would lead to child sterilization and famine. Zelensky Says Russians Will Have to ‘Kill Us All’ to Take Kyiv

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says he’s open for talks with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in Israel, but only if there is a cease-fire in place.

Zelensky said Saturday he told Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett that he would be ready to meet Putin in Jerusalem. Bennett visited Moscow for a meeting with Putin and spoke repeatedly with Zelensky and the leaders of France and Germany as he sought to help mediate an end to the war. . .

Speaking at a news conference, Zelensky said the Russians could take the Ukrainian capital “only if they kill us all.” (Read more from “Zelensky Says Russians Will Have to ‘Kill Us All’ to Take Kyiv” HERE)

Russia Takes Putin’s War Into Space

Vladimir Putin’s war is spreading to space: Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, is threatening to strand NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei aboard the International Space Station.

The threat to maroon the American — scheduled to touch down in Kazakhstan next month with two Russian cosmonauts aboard a Russian spacecraft — came after President Biden imposed sanctions over Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Rogozin, a close Putin ally, has also refused to launch a UK satellite company’s payloads, stopped supplying Russian-built rocket engines to US customers and even threatened to cut ties to NASA and disconnect the Russian section from the ISS.
