WATCH: Protesters Surround Police Behind White House After Arrest; DC Protesters Organized via Zoom for Months

By Washington Examiner. Protesters on Tuesday surrounded Washington, D.C., police after they arrested a masked man behind the White House.

Police chased the man down the street before stopping him at an intersection. Protesters followed and confronted the officers who held the man down. Soon, a mob formed and police protected themselves with a ring of bicycles. Protesters began chanting at them as police attempted to push them backward.

As more protesters and onlookers rushed around the police, a helicopter circling overhead stopped and shined its light on the scene.

Police removed themselves from the situation amid shouts from protesters following them out of Black Lives Matter Plaza.

DC Protesters Organized via Zoom for Months

By Fox News. A collection of groups led by Black Lives Matter and Shutdown DC reportedly has been holding training sessions for demonstrators to protest on Election Day — and apparently, they’re planning a large-scale event across the street from the White House expected to draw thousands.

Several leaked documents and Zoom call recordings described a loose but coordinated network of activists seeking to mobilize around the country, especially if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden loses or if President Trump contests the election results. The materials purportedly showed plans to shut down federal buildings, including the White House, and to meet members of Congress at public transportation portals when they’re scheduled to reconvene in Washington after the election.

The apparent goal: to continue the civil unrest from Election Day until at least later this week — and potentially until the presidential inauguration in January. (Read more from “DC Protesters Organized via Zoom for Months” HERE)

Former White House Physician CONVINCED Biden Isn’t Mentally Fit for Office

Former White House physician Ronny Jackson told reporters on Tuesday that he was “convinced” Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, 77, does not have the cognitive ability to be commander-in-chief.

“I’m pretty familiar with what it takes both physically and cognitively to do that job and what the demands of that job are,” Jackson, 53, who is currently running for Congress as a Republican, said on a call organized by the Trump campaign.

“As a citizen, not as a candidate running for Congress, but as a citizen of this country, I’ve watched Joe Biden on the campaign trail and I am concerned and convinced that he does not have the mental capacity, the cognitive ability, to serve as our commander-in-chief and our head of state,” he went on.

Jackson served in the White House medical unit under George W. Bush and was appointed Physician to the President under Barack Obama and President Trump before he was nominated to serve as Secretary of Veteran Affairs in March 2018. . .

“I’m not trying to remotely diagnose him with anything,” he said. “I’ve not accused him of having Alzheimer’s or anything of that nature.” (Read more from “Former White House Physician CONVINCED Biden Isn’t Mentally Fit for Office” HERE)

WATCH: CNN Reporter Complains About Trump Taking Mask Off; Trump Campaign Shows Her Taking Her Mask off Inside White House

CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins bemoaned President Donald Trump taking off his mask when he returned to the White House from Walter Reed Medical Center late on Monday only to have her past actions with masks called into question by the Trump campaign.

“Yeah and let us remind viewers now that the president is on steroids and a drug that fewer than 10 people outside of clinical trials have gotten inside the United States to deal with coronavirus,” Collins said. “He had a level of treatment and a level of care that most Americans would not get. That’s understandable, he is the president of the United States, obviously everyone expects that.”

“But what the president is portraying by taking his mask off when he gets back to the Truman balcony to give this grand return to the White House, is that everything is fine and, as he said, don’t let coronavirus control your life,” Collins continued. . .

The Trump campaign quickly hit back at Collins, highlighting a video clip from earlier this year where she immediately took her mask off inside the White House press briefing room — an enclosed indoor space where other people were present — after she apparently thought the cameras had been turned off following the end of a news conference.

White House: Trump Will Accept Results of a ‘Free and Fair’ Election

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany sought to allay concerns that President Trump may not cede power if he loses on Election Day, telling reporters that he would accept the results of an election that is “free and fair.”

“The president will accept the results of a free and fair election,” McEnany said during a White House news briefing Thursday. “He will accept the will of the American people.”

Concerns that the president would challenge the results of the election were ignited on Wednesday when Trump would not “commit” to a “peaceful transfer of power,” declining to answer a reporter’s question clearly during a White House news conference.

Trump pointed instead to mail-in ballots, which he has argued are susceptible to fraud and predicted the election would be decided by the Supreme Court.

For this reason, he said, filling the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat before the election is important. (Read more from “White House: Trump Will Accept Results of a ‘Free and Fair’ Election” HERE)

Unnerving: ‘Occupy’ Radicals Now Plan ‘White House Siege’

The activist group behind the Occupy Wall Street protest nine years ago, Adbusters, is planning a 50-day “White House Siege” next month.

“Drawing wind from #MeToo, #BLM, #ExtinctionRebellion and protests against Trump’s lethal bungling of coronavirus, we’ll inspire a global movement of systemic change — a Global Spring — a cultural heave towards a new world order, the activists say in a “Tactical Briefing” posted by Adbusters magazine.

The Adbusters Media Foundation is a Canadian-based anti-capitalist, enviromentalist group founded in 1989. Adbusters prompted the “occupation” of Wall Street in 2011 saying that had “one simple demand — a presidential commission to separate money from politics” that would “start setting the agenda for a new America.”

The activists say the launch date of the “seige,” Sept. 17, is the Occupy anniversary, making it “the perfect day to trigger another global big-bang moment — a massive collective action of the sweetest kind of disobedience.”

They complain that in the nine years since Occupy Wall Street — more than five of which were under Democratic President Barack Obama — “the shadows have only grown longer.” (Read more from “Unnerving: ‘Occupy’ Radicals Now Plan ‘White House Siege'” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Evacuated From Press Briefing After Shooting Outside White House

Secret Service took down an armed person near the fence outside the White House early Monday evening.

According to The Post Millennial, Secret Service “whisked” President Donald Trump away from his White House press briefing to the Oval Office. He returned about nine minutes later and confirmed there was a shooting.

“There was a shooting outside of the White House and it seems to be very well under control. I’d like to thank the Secret Service for doing their always quick and very effective work,” Trump said.

Fake Photo Circulated of ‘Dark’ White House Is Actually From 2015

Media outlets and Twitter users circulated a photo of the White House showing the lights darkened both inside and outside, allegedly from Sunday night during the riots.

Many are taking the darkened image of the White House as a dark symbol of present unrest, often placed on Twitter against a photo of the White House lit in rainbow lights under Obama.

There is just one problem: the photo was not from last Sunday. In fact, it was not from the Trump administration at all, but rather a stock photo from 2015. It was uploaded to Getty Images, a stock photo compilation site, in December of 2015, but has been passed off to be a photo taken during the rioting. The stock photo was edited further to increasingly darken the image for the greatest possible dramatic effect, and “manipulated to remove the lit lantern,” an AP Fact Check reports.

Report: Military Trucks Roll Onto Grounds Ahead of Curfew

The White House sent nonessential staffers home early on Monday, and troops were trucked onto the grounds ahead of the city’s 7 p.m. curfew as protests continue to rage in Washington, D.C., over the death of George Floyd.

Bloomberg reported that White House management told staff to clear out by 4 p.m., citing fears that ongoing protests outside the grounds could escalate to violence again as demonstrators have clashed with law enforcement over the weekend.

Reporter Jennifer Jacobs reported that the campus was “emptied out” and that two food spots were also closed early. CNN’s Jake Tapper noted that a source clarified to him that senior staff members would continue working.

White House Discussing Possible Resumption of Nuclear Testing

The White House has been discussing the possible resumption of testing nuclear devices as a means to pressure Russia and China to come to the bargaining table.

Nuclear testing was completely banned in 1991 when George H. W. Bush signed the START treaty. Resuming tests now would send a clear message that the U.S. wants another arms control treaty, this time involving China. China has rebuffed the suggestion, saying its nuclear arsenal is tiny compared to those of Russia and America. But the Chinese military is building missiles as fast as it can, and putting the brakes on China’s efforts makes sense.

The White House meeting discussing the testing option was a “deputies level” meeting, meaning it didn’t involve any cabinet secretaries or the president.

Guardian:

The discussion was first reported on Friday night by the Washington Post, which cited a senior administration official as saying that a demonstration to Moscow and Beijing that the United States could carry out a “rapid test” could be a useful bargaining counter in the achieving the administration’s priority on arms control – a trilateral deal with Russia and China.
