Ukrainian Scandal Confirmed: Alleged Embezzlement of $40 Million Meant for Ammunition by Officials, Reveals Intelligence Agency

Ukrainian officials stole nearly $40 million meant for procurement of ammunition in an embezzlement scheme discovered in December 2023, Ukrainian counterintelligence authorities said Thursday.

An unnamed directorate head in Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) allegedly was at the head of the scheme that illegally transferred almost UAH 1.5 billion (USD 39 million) meant to purchase artillery shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to foreign accounts of an MoD-affiliated intermediary company, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) said in a statement.

“This amount was 30% higher than the value of an alternative contract concluded by the newly created Defense Procurement Agency,” the statement read in part.

The stolen funds were state funds, the SSU noted in the statement. The SSU together with the Prosecutor General’s Office and the MoD reportedly uncovered the scheme, recovered the funds, and returned them to the state budget. . .

The fraudulent transaction — meant for 100,000 mortar shells that were never supplied — occurred during the former Minister of Defence Oleksii Reznikov’s tenure, the Washington Post reported. Those allegedly involved in the scheme include Oleksandr Liev, who was the head of the Department of Military-Technical Policy, Development of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense; the current head of this department, Toomas Nakhkur; and the head of the arms supplier Lviv Arsenal, Yuriy Zbitnev, according to the report, citing an unnamed security service official. Journalist Found Dead After Exposing ‘Luxury Villa Owned by Zelenskyy’s Family’

Egyptian investigative journalist Mohammed Al-Alawi, known for his exposé on the purchase of a luxury villa by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s mother-in-law, has been found dead.

The report, published by El Mostaqbal, details the discovery of Al-Alawi’s body in the Red Sea city of Hurghada, showing signs of fractures and bruises. The cause of death is reported as a cerebral hemorrhage resulting from a severe brain injury, with indications that the journalist had been subjected to a beating by a group of individuals.

Al-Alawi gained attention in August when he reported on the purchase of a $4.85 million villa in El-Gouna by Olga Kiyashko, Zelenskyy’s mother-in-law. The journalist leaked alleged documents as evidence, raising serious questions about corruption and the possible misappropriation of U.S. financial aid to Ukraine by the Zelenskyy family.

The Ukrainian embassy in Egypt has dismissed the allegations as “Russian propaganda,” while Orascom Development, the owner of the El Gouna resort, issued a statement categorically denying the reports. He claims the allegations are “completely false” despite Al-Alawi’s exposé.

Al-Alawi’s death has intensified concerns about the safety of investigative journalists and the challenges they face when exposing sensitive information. In a recent interview, the deceased journalist’s brother, Ahmed Al-Alawi, disclosed that Mohammed began receiving death threats after the release of his investigation. Ahmed also claimed that the police believe the assassination was carried out by Ukrainian operatives.

Zelensky Meets With U.S. Defense Contractors to Secure Taxpayer Money

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with defense contractors during his visit to Washington, DC, this week, amid a bid for $61 billion in U.S. taxpayer support for Ukraine, according to a video he posted on social media.

Zelensky said Ukraine was prepared to produce more ammunition and military vehicles, but it required support. He posted on X:

. . .He also posted a video showing snippets of the meetings as well as the attendees. The video showed that among the attendees were Stephen O’Bryan, corporate vice president and chief financial officer for Northrop Grumman Corporation, and Fatih Ozmen, the Turkish-American co-owner and CEO of Sierra Nevada Corporation.

U.S. defense contractors and Ukraine have had a cozy relationship since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

In December 2022, U.S. defense contractors — who stand to gain billions from the ongoing war in Ukraine — sponsored a party in D.C. for the Ukrainian armed forces at the Ukrainian embassy. The contractors who sponsored the party was Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney, and Lockheed Martin. Netanyahu Signals Affinity for Zelensky as Israel’s Ties With Russia Worsen

Israel intends to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a visit to show solidarity in response to the Hamas terrorist attack last month despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s careful management of ties with Russia.

“If President Zelensky comes, he will be welcomed with open arms,” an unnamed Israeli official told the Times of Israel.

Zelensky had planned to arrive in Israel on Monday, according to reports, which would have positioned him to mark the passage of a month since the unprecedented rampage that ignited a major war in Gaza. The visit was canceled after his plans leaked, but points in any case to the worsening relationship between Israel and Russia.

“It’s kind of an extension of this rhetorical signaling … to the Russians that [they should] measure your support to the Palestinians or those who are supporting Palestinians,” former Estonian diplomat Peeter Raudsik, who specialized in Middle East issues at the Estonian mission to the United Nations from 2019 to 2022, told the Washington Examiner. Zelensky: I Will Need 24 Minutes To Explain to Trump He Can’t Manage Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that it would take 24 minutes to explain to former President Donald Trump he can not end the Ukraine war in 24 hours because Russian President Vladimir Putin can’t be managed.

Anchor Kristen Welker said, “Former President Trump who is the GOP frontrunner has said if he is reelected he could end this war in 24 hours. What is your reaction and message to former President Trump about that?”

Sec of State Blinken Dressed Son as Zelensky for Halloween (VIDEO)

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken dressed his four-year-old son as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a White House Halloween party on Monday night.

“Biden gave the young ‘Zelensky,’ who wore a dark green sweatshirt, a box of M&Ms bearing the presidential seal — after asking Congress earlier this month to give another $61.4 billion for the real deal, on top of $113 billion already appropriated to help Kyiv resist Russia’s 20-month-old invasion,” noted the New York Post.

Blinken’s daughter also wore a Ukrainian flag outfit.

Report: Zelensky Asks Occult Artist to Be Ambassador for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has allegedly asked occult “Spirit Cooking” performance artist Marina Abramović to serve as an ambassador for his country, according to a report from London’s Daily Telegraph.

Ahead of debuting her first solo exhibition in Britain, the controversial 76-year-old Serbian claimed that President Zelensky has asked her to become an ambassador for Ukraine and to help the country rebuild its school system.

In comments reported by The Telegraph, Abramović said: “I have been invited by Zelensky to be an ambassador of Ukraine, to help the children affected by rebuilding schools and such.”

The Serbian artist went on to claim that she has also been invited to join the board of the Babyn Yar organisation to help protect the Holocaust memorial centre for Jews killed by Nazis in Ukraine, which was damaged in a Russian missile attack shortly following last year’s invasion of the country.

Abramović, an ardent opponent of Vladimir Putin, has previously worked in Ukraine, installing the ‘Crystal Wall of Crying‘ at the Babyn Yar centre just months prior to the invasion. Visitors to the forty-metre-long structure are encouraged to “interact with the crystals and meditate”. Zelensky Cozy Ups With the World’s Richest Elites After Begging the U.S. For More Money

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not stopped begging the United States for hundreds of millions to fund his country’s proxy “war” with Russia.

This week, Zelensky showed up in Washington D.C. asking for 46 aid packages from the American government to keep his country well funded— in which he secured another $24 million from American taxpayers.

Zelensky used his time in the U.S. as an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the world’s wealthiest elites, a move very well-known to Democrats.

According to the New York Post, the Ukrainian leader attended a swanky soiree arranged by the multi-billionaires at J.P. Morgan.

Mike Bloomberg, worth an estimated $96 billion; Ken Griffin of the Citadel investment empire, worth around $35 billion; Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, worth $20 billion; Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, worth $11 billion; Jona­than Gray, the president of private equity powerhouse Blackstone, worth around $7 billion; Barry Sternlicht, of Starwood Capital; worth about $4 billion; Bill Ackman, the high-profile hedge fund operator, worth nearly $3.6 billion— were all in attendance. Fetterman Wears Casual Shorts to Senate for Meeting With Zelensky

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., dressed down for an official meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Capitol, just days after the Senate dress code was altered.

Zelenskyy traveled to Washington, D.C., on Thursday to meet with President Biden and a bipartisan group of lawmakers, a trip that marks his second visit to the U.S.

While every other member of Congress appeared in a suit and tie to welcome Zelenskyy, Fetterman arrived in his usual casual attire — shorts, a short-sleeved shirt and tennis shoes.

Since getting sworn into office in January, Fetterman has been known for showing up to work in gym shorts and sweatshirts — an uncommon choice for most senators.

While Thursday marks only one of many occurrences where Fetterman appeared in casual clothing to the Senate building, it is one of his first appearances since Democrats changed the dress code standards for lawmakers. Zelensky Lectures the World About Climate Change, Tries New Tactic for Increased Aid (VIDEO)

President Volodymyr Zelensky must have an inkling that his unlimited check could soon be running out because the Ukrainian president is trying out a new sales pitch to world leaders: We need to defeat Russia, or evil dictators will “weaponize” the damaging effects of climate change.

Zelensky made his case in the form of a lecture on Tuesday at the United Nations General Assembly.

“Even though humanity is failing on its climate policy objectives, this means that extreme weather will still impact normal global life and some evil state will also weaponize its outcomes,” he said. “And when people in the streets of New York and other cities of the world went out on climate protest — we all have seen them — and when people in Morocco and Libya, and other countries die as a result of natural disasters, and when islands and countries disappear underwater, and when tornadoes and deserts are spreading into — into new territories, and when all of this is happening, one, a natural disaster in Moscow, decided to launch a big war and killed tens of thousands of people. We have to stop it.”

So it seems Zelensky is implying that Russian President Vladimir Putin took advantage of climate change — global boiling as the U.N. calls it — to attack Ukraine.
