Preliminary Alaska Fiscal Hall of Shame

Photo credit: roger4336Please, this is Serious. TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THESE FACES [below images]. These are the people that make decisions that affect our lives and our liberties. These people are also the ones who will either “destroy individual Alaskan’s financial liberty from state government” or “save it.” Right now, we are at a critical juncture and on the wrong track. ALL but the newly elected Governor and eight Representatives are responsible for past budgets with the greatest deficit spending in the history of Alaska. This excessive deficit spending has put Alaskans on the fast track to a statewide income/sales tax and an eroding PFD. If this happens, these are the names and faces to blame. You are witnessing with your own eyes the “Crime of the Century.”

They were all forewarned that their current spending was unsustainable and would lead to extreme financial consequences in the near future. They were all forewarned that delaying these difficult spending cuts would only exasperate the situation and increase the complexity in the future. THEY DID NOT LISTEN. Last year’s deficit was $1.67 billion, with oil prices down it’s now approximately $3.8 billion. We are bleeding $10 million a day from savings. They have done nothing to try and stop it.

The drop in oil prices is NOT the problem. They are using that as a scapegoat. The anomaly is NOT low oil prices; it is high oil prices, check history. The PROBLEM is their spending addiction. Low fuel prices should be a time of celebration because it keeps more money in ALL Alaskan’s pockets. Instead we are singing the blues because of our spend thrift leaders, who should have been saving the excess revenue during the unusually high oil prices and adhering to a Sustainable Budget Model were instead supporting their pet projects, growing the size of government, and raising the dependency baseline. That is clearly irresponsible and negligent. That is white-collar crime! Billions of dollars, GONE! Now we are supposed to be understanding and accommodating. I’m mad as hell and you should be too! My liberty and yours came at a great price and we should let no one chip away at it or destroy it. They failed our trust.

The sad fact is Alaska re-elected all but four who chose to run again. This CAN NOT happen again! Every Senator who is currently in office was part of the “28th legislature high rollers club.” They were gambling with billions worth of our liberty and all Alaskan’s financial future, not their own. Their gambling losses will force us to pay in far more ways than just dollars.

Once Alaskans start defending their liberties with the PASSION of our founders this type of behavior from our elected officials will cease at ALL levels of government. Shame on all of them! They all took an Oath to uphold and defend the U.S. and Alaska Constitution. That Oath is there for a reason. They are not free to do as they please. The time for applying extreme pressure to these folks is way over due. The photo chart was designed to help identify the ones who need it the most. By the time this session is over we will know who our champions are, who needs to leave office and who needs to be behind bars.

For now focus on the Main Drivers. Senator Kelly was a Senate Finance Co-Chair last legislature and again this legislature. Maximum fault will be on his shoulders if Alaska fails financially. In a recent Senate Finance Committee he stated that he had just had an “interesting revelation about the magnitude of the problem.” WHAT?

Where in the world has he been? Why is he Finance Co-Chair again? Next are Representative Neuman and Senator MacKinnon who were both Vice Chairs of finance last legislature. Now they are both in the driver’s seat along with Thompson who sat on finance last legislature also. These are the next guiltiest if this falls apart. Governor Walker is front and center. He ran his campaign on 16% cuts and beat Parnell. Where are they Governor or did you already forget? We didn’t.

The Crime of the Century!!!

The ones that are no longer in office are still just as guilty and we need to not forget who they are. That is why their photos are included. Also, this chart focuses on the budget because that is the main focus right now and they’ll be tracked all the way through both sessions. Other main topics to be concerned with are the unconstitutional programs of Common Core and Obamacare Medicaid Expansion. Stay tuned for the Hall of Blame (Common Core) and the Hall of the Lame (Medicaid Expansion). If you like and want these programs, they are in other states, please consider moving!

LEGEND: — First off, print and hang the chart of photos on a wall. Familiarize yourself with the names and the faces. Know who these people are. — Top Row: These are the Financial Drivers. They hold the power to make or break a budget and they are the Governor and the two financial co-chairs of the House and Senate. They are most responsible and liable. — Left and Right Columns: House members are on the left and Senate members are on the right. They are in order by their seniority from top to bottom. If you believe in term limits you will find this helpful. — Oval Mats: Identifies the Financial Drivers in the 28th and 29th legislature. — Oval Circles: Identifies those on the 28th and 29th finance committees; 2nd most guilty group! — Gray Frames: They are near the bottom and newly elected. That does not make any of them innocent; several ran on pork promises. — Slash or X across the Photo: At the bottom. “Slash” indicates they did not run again. The “X” indicates they ran but were not re-elected. In 2016 I’d like to see that number rise, dramatically. — Text: The year they came to office is before the name followed by the party affiliation. A slash separates their time in the House from their time in the Senate. After the name, identifiers indicate if they were in the House Finance (HFIN) or the Senate Finance (SFIN) preceded by the specific legislature (28th or 29th). Last is their Juneau phone number. Call Often!

Passionately start defending your liberties. Get involved! Educate yourself. Listen to the legislative committee meetings (live or archived): https://w3.legis.state.ak.us/index.php. There is a call-in number. Call and email the Governor and legislators. Make public testimonies. Write public testimonies (very important). If you need help getting started, contact me. Anything is better than nothing.

*** If you are a true fiscal conservative and constitutionalist (small government and greater individual liberty/personal responsibility) please consider running for office. Duty calls!

NOTE: If you are a Legislator that is taking this Fiscal Crisis serious, removing Common Core from the state, and not implementing ACA(obamacare) Medicaid Expansion, your actions will be reflected positively in future updates and charts.

The new Sustainable Budget Number is $4.5 Billion!!!

Baby Found Alive, Mother Dead 13 Hours After After Horrific Car Crash

A baby was found alive but in critical condition inside a wrecked car in Utah Saturday, 13 hours after the car the child was in plunged into a river, police said. The child’s mother was found dead in the car when an fisherman discovered the crashed vehicle at around 12:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police believe the car hit a cement barrier on a bridge at around 10:30 p.m. Friday night and ended up in the Spanish Fork River in Spanish Fork, a city of around 37,000 people south of Provo.

The 4-door Dodge was upside down and resting on its roof and the 18-month-old girl was found locked in a car seat in the rear passenger seat, police said. The baby’s 25-year-old mother was dead in the driver’s seat when first responders arrived, Spanish Fork Police said in a statement. (Read more about the horrific car crash HERE)

Guess What? Common AR-15 Green Tip Ammo is ALREADY Banned, Turning Tens of Thousands into Felons Overnight [UPDATE: ATF Responds]

On Friday February 13 at 4:00 pm, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms released a proposal to ban commonly used M855 “green tip” AR-15 ammunition under the guise of law enforcement safety. The same day the proposal was released, on a Friday of a three day holiday weekend, ATF opened up a shortened 30-day period for the public to submit comments about the new regulation.

But it turns out, ATF has been working on a ban of AR-15 “green-tip” ammunition for quite some time and has already issued the ban in its new, 2014 Regulation Guide. For reference, ATF Regulation Guides come out approximately every ten years.

When you take a look at the 2005 ATF Regulation Guide, you’ll see an exemption for AR-15 “green-tip” ammunition, which means it exempted from the definition of “armor piercing” and therefore is legal on the federal level . . .

“The 2014 edition of the Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide contains information that will help you comply with Federal laws and regulations governing the manufacture, importation and distribution of firearms and ammunition. This edition contains new and amended statutes enacted since publication of the 2005 edition, as well as updated regulations and rulings issued by ATF. In addition to these updated materials, in response to inquiries received from industry members, the public, and partner agencies, the 2014 edition contains additional and amended Questions and Answers to assist with compliance,” ATF Director B. Todd Jones states in the 2014 edition of the new Regulation Guide (emphasis mine). “Laws may change over time, as will information in this guide.”

The Office of Management and Budget must review and approve ATF Regulation Guides, which again, come out approximately every 10 years. This can take months and changes to Regulation Guides are not easily or often made. Because of the lengthy amount of time it takes for OMB to approve a new ATF Regulation Guide, ATF’s comment period is just for show. ATF officials and the White House have (and never did) no interest in actually listening to or considering comments that are currently being submitted. The exemption for the ammunition in question has already been stripped out of the regulation handbook moving forward and “green-tip” has been reclassified as “armor piercing.” The rules have been changed. Further, because of local rules and regulations in different states across the country having their own “armor piercing” standards based on ATF regulations, thousands of people in possession of AR-15 green tip ammunition have essentially been turned into felons overnight. UPDATE: ATF Claims Publishing Mistake

Yesterday I exclusively reported that common AR-15 “green tip” ammunition has already been banned in the new 2014 Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Regulation Guide, which was published in January. After the story received wide public attention [above] ATF released a response Friday night at 9:12 p.m. blaming a publishing error for stripping out the “armor piercing” and ban exemption for AR-15 “green tip” ammunition.

Nothing to analyze here folks, just a publishing mistake. No AP ammo exemptions revoked @NRA @NSSF. See https://t.co/mEIKThYBAX
— ATF HQ (@ATFHQ) March 7, 2015

. . .Most importantly, if you’re in possession of AR-15 “green tip” ammunition, legally you’re good to go in most states and not in possession of “armor piercing” ammunition. Because of the “publishing error” in the 2014 Regulation Guide, ATF has advised FFL’s and others to reference the 2005 Regulation Guidebook, where the ammunition is still exempted.

Despite ATF saying there’s “nothing to analyze here folks,” this simple “publishing mistake” deserves scrutiny. Considering the Office of Management and Budget must approve new Regulation Guides, which come out approximately every 10 years, are difficult to change and take months to review, that’s quite the “publishing mistake.” (Read more from about the AR-15 green tip ammo now NOT banned HERE)

Eric Holder: Department of Justice ‘Prepared’ to Dismantle Ferguson Police Department If Necessary

Attorney General Eric Holder said the Department of Justice could go as far as dismantling the Ferguson Police Department to ensure change after the DOJ report that found it discriminated against blacks in the Missouri city.

“We are prepared to use all the powers that we have, all the power that we have to ensure that the situation changes there and that means everything from working with them to you know coming up with an entirely new structure,” Holder told reporters on the tarmac of Andrews Air Force Base today.

Asked if that includes dismantling the police department, Holder said, “If that’s what’s necessary, we’re prepared to do that” . . .

“What we saw was that Ferguson police department in conjunction with municipality saw traffic stops, arrests, and tickets as revenue generators as opposed to serving,” the president said at a town hall at Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. The president added the overwhelmingly white force was “systematically” biased, placing minorities under its care into an “oppressive and abusive situation.” (Read more about the Department of Justice being prepared to dismantle the Ferguson police department HERE)

Here’s Michelle Obama’s Response to a Letter From an Unhappy Second Grader About Her Ruining ‘Taco Tuesday’

After a second grader complained to First Lady Michelle Obama that she “ruined” Taco Tuesday with her healthy lunch rules, Trip Klibert has accepted the White House’s consolation: Bo and Sunny trading cards and a note from Mrs. Obama that said you’ll get used to it.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Richard “Trip” Klibert, 7, wrote a letter to Mrs. Obama last November:

Dear Mrs. Obama,

Thank you for trying to make my school lunch better, but you have ruined Taco Tuesday. Please bring back the old taco shell. I miss them. Also, the pizza is terrible. If you would like to try the new tacos, I will buy you lunch.

Thank you,

Trip Klibert

Mrs. Obama replied to Klibert’s letter, along with “an autographed Obama family picture and trading cards of the family’s dogs.” She said that change is hard.

“In Obama’s letter, she explained that new child nutrition regulations were implemented as part of her “Let’s Move!” initiative started in 2010 to reduce childhood obesity,” the Times-Picayune reported. “The new regulations took effect in 2012 with the goal of including more whole grains, vegetables and fruits in school meals while reducing fat and sodium.” (Read more about the letter from the unhappy second grader HERE)

No Surprise: White House Alerted About Missing Clinton Emails MONTHS Ago

The White House, State Department and Hillary Clinton’s personal office knew in August that House Republicans had received information showing that the former secretary of state conducted official government business through her private email account — and Clinton’s staff made the decision to keep quiet.

Sources familiar with the discussions say key people in the Obama administration and on Clinton’s staff were aware that the revelation could be explosive for the all-but-announced candidate for president. But those involved deferred to Clinton’s aides, and they decided not to respond.

In the end, Clinton’s staff waited six months — until after the New York Times published a story on Tuesday about the email account and the possibility that it hampered public access to official records — to begin their response.

Clinton’s slow-off-the-block defense has left many political strategists and observers confused because even a presidential campaign in its early stages should have been prepared to get out ahead of bad news. Had the existence of the email address and private server been made public in August, they say, it could have become a marginal issue in the run-up to the midterm elections, which Democrats badly lost anyway and in which Clinton wasn’t a candidate. But the decision to let it linger has meant it will cast a much larger shadow over Clinton’s expected campaign announcement.

According to the sources, the problem came to light in August as the State Department prepared to respond to a request from the House Select Committee investigating the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. State Department officials noticed that some of the 15,000 pages of documents included a personal email address for Clinton, and State and White House officials conferred on how to handle the revelation, which they expected the committee to notice. But they felt that Clinton’s personal staff should take the lead, since she was no longer in government, and Clinton aides decided to wait and see. (Read more about the missing Clinton emails HERE)

The Woman Who ‘Dies’ THIRTY SIX times a Year: Amazing Footage Captures Medics Bringing 21-Year-Old Back to Life [+video]

This incredible video shows the moment a young woman with a rare heart condition becomes clinically dead for a minute before being pulled back to consciousness by medical staff.

Sara Brautigam has regular brushes with death and in one year was pronounced clinically dead 36 times.

The 21-year-old was four years ago diagnosed with Postural orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), a condition which makes her heart stop beating.

She experiences rapid palpitations that regularly cause her heart to stop beating and her blood pressure to plummet to what doctors record as clinically dead.

The alarming video was shot three years ago with the consent of Ms Brautigam who has agreed for it to be released to highlight her condition. (Read more about the woman being brought back to life HERE)

Boy’s ’50 Shades of Grey’ Costume Sends Chills Through School During World Book Day

An 11-year-old boy in Manchester, England, caused a controversy when he showed up to his school’s World Book Day celebration dressed as Christian Grey from the hit book and movie “50 Shades of Grey.”

At the Sale High School World Book Day Thursday, students were encouraged to dress up as a character from their favorite book, but Liam Scholes’ “50 Shades of Grey” costume had to be “modified” before he could participate, according to a statement from the school.

Nicola Scholes posted a photo of her son’s outfit on Facebook, showing the boy dressed in a suit and carrying a mask and small cable ties.

Her son’s costume “was lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek,” Scholes told ABC News today.

She wrote earlier on Facebook, “It was that inappropriate that they told him to change his character and wouldn’t include him on any photos.” (Read more from “Boy’s ’50 Shades of Grey’ Costume Sends Chills Through School During World Book Day” HERE)

World’s Smallest Drone Shows Privacy May Be Dead Forever [+video]

By Brad Reed. Privacy seems like such a quaint 20th Century concept, doesn’t it? Unbox Therapy has posted a video of the CX-10 Mini Drone, which is described as the world’s smallest drone and is a definite harbinger of things to come. In other words, it looks like privacy is finally toast . . .

All the same: At least with standard-sized drones there’s no way to miss them. If you’re being trailed by one or if one is hovering outside your window, there’s a decent chance you’ll see it. But as they get smaller and quieter as technology improves, they’ll be much harder to detect and will open up the door for every amateur NSA agent in your neighborhood to keep an eye on everything.

The First Drone Film Festival

By David Schneider. It shouldn’t take the whirring of a small drone to remind you that many people are awfully leery of these little aerial contraptions, fearing threats to privacy – and also to airliners.

But others see great benefits, particularly cinematographers, who are thrilled to make use of the unique perspectives drones can provide. Some of the best examples of what they can achieve will be screened March 6 and 7 at the first-ever “drone film festival” in New York City.

The inspiration for the festival came from Randy Scott Slavin, who is the founder and the festival director.

“I bought this thing called a DJI Phantom. It’s the iPhone of drones,” he says. “I had hours and hours and hours of footage around New York, and I finally decided to edit it.”

Randy put the film online and within the next couple of days, received calls from Fox News, Time magazine, Mashable and Gizmodo. (Read more from this story HERE)
